I remember Jonny Sims had said that TMA was going to end tragically.

But the ending isn't tragic at all. In fact, it is so ambiguous that fans literally can decide main characters' fate: maybe Jon and Martin live happily Somewhere Else, maybe they travel back in time and save everyone - and it would be canon happy ending.

But maybe Jonny wants to "fix" it. Maybe he is going to give us that rich chocolate torte of tragedy.

honestly i wld be so much more forgiving abt the finale if we hadnt been condescended to for weeks in advance of its premiere by the cast and crew and older fans being like guys....... this season is NOT for the faint of heart........ if you can't handle taking several emotional BEATINGS dont even THINK about listening to this absolutely decadent rich chocolate torte of a TRAGEDY GRENADE. only for us to be treated to several hours of walking, domestic bickering, abstract surreal horror scenarios happening to characters we don't get given enough time to care about and -- wait for it -- rowing

Jonny said in some tweet that he changed quite a bit his plans for end of the season five and so from rich chocolate torte of tragedy became grim soufflé, right?

What if Annabelle's original plan about filling Martin with spiders was also Jonny's original plan but then he changed his mind because he got more fitting or better idea?

So, I'm trying to figure out what might happen in final 8 eps when they've already reached the Final Boss Level tm, and it occurred to me that we might get an epilogue in/for the final ep

And that worries me, because however sad the inevitable tragic ending will be, I just know that any epilogue Jonny comes up with would somehow be even more heartbreaking
