Sentinel Riobot Yattodetaman Daikyojin & Daitenba - Part 1
Time for my first Sentinel model has come! I've waited as long as I could, but since it was announced, I knew that sooner or later this model would have been mine.
As usual, the main problem with Sentinel models is their ridiculously high price, especially when you consider the size of some of the Riobot entries. This Yattodetaman makes no exception, with his height of 16/18cm (depends on the configuration), but I must say that, what this little guy lacks in dimensions, it compensates with extreme quality.
Though I read some complaints about the excessive use of plastic, and I'm a huge diecast fan, I must admit the mix of ABS, PVC and POM used here gives an overall great look when reproducing the aesthetics of the Daikyojin. When it comes to Daitenba instead, I'd appreciated a bit more of metal here, because, while good-looking, our favourite horse is honestly a little too "plasticky".
When it comes to posability, we are in the verge of excellence here. The inner metal frame and joints allow the model to pretty much move shoulders, legs, feet, waist etc. in every direction. If you are a fan of dynamic poses, this is definitely a model you'll love!

Black Flag Project X1
By Devil Hunter
Taken by nuo2x2 with Olympus Pen E-P5
now back to our regular upload, some mecha beauty... obviously that is a Gundam Crossbone X1, but they made a super nicely alternate design to the model in this huge chunks of metal...
and this might be why those unofficial metal build really over thrown big manufacturers models...

Ok. Hi.
I don't really talk here all that much but this is a special case, alright?
Because today these guys arrived on my doorstep:
and, well, there just isn't a whole lot of English language information about these toys (or iron leaguer in general for that fact) so I figured I'd document these figures in a quasi-review.
For starters, this is the Tamashi Nations - Shippu! Iron Leaguer - Iron Leaguer Mach Windy & Gold Foot, Bandai Chogokin, two-pack. One of the few results you get when you google "iron leaguer toy." The other, unsurprisingly, is a Magnum Ace figure from the same line.
There are plenty of photos of figures of the remaining gold brothers and the rest of the "Main Seven" of Silver Castle, indicating that they were all planned for release, but the photos are all ominously dated in 2019. It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume COVID-19 caused the rest of the line to be canceled.
I got this set for an absolute steal on amazon, at half the price they were going for on Big Bad Toy Store and other similar sites. Magnum, as of the time of this post, is similarly on sale, but I couldn't justify to my wallet getting him too.
Now, backstory out of the way: let's look at the figures.
Out of the box, we notice Windy's uncomfortably elongated neck.
Sudden giraffe impressions aside, we have a soccer ball, Windy's ponytail (attaches to a port on the back of his head), and a set of relaxed hands, yelling faces, baseball mitts, and visors for both figures.
Also included is this lovely paper that I cannot read
The actual instructions are entirely visual, so there's no real issue.
Before we move on to the figures themselves, let's take a moment to appreciate the box-art showing off Windy and Gold Foot as the "Best Rivals" (ex-boyfriends) they are.
.... and I'm running up against the image limit, guess I'll have to put the actual figure review in a second post

Long time ago, I used to have this great toy: Battle Shark and Battle Fever Robot (on the left). I loved that figure, really a great toy. Now I have the Soul of Chogokin version (on the right). I find it even better. Great work Bandai.

Collection Pictures - Bonus Round
Before we move on to our regular galleries, a little housekeeping.
Just a few pictures showing the bottom levels of both big shelves, some of the new and newer wall displays, and a few closeups. You can already see that I've made a few changes and moved some stuff around.
Thank you for checking back in every day for the new toy setups. This was an ambitious refresh, but after all is said and done, I couldn't be happier with how it all came out.
