Drawing Colt or Ride or Die characters in general makes me want to put synth wave music on background and imagine synthetic neon world. I could perfectly picture RoD story in futuristic cyberpunk world which throw us in some thrilling criminal adventure with Colt, Logan and Mona. 💜

ROD Loading Screen but I genderswapped the characters, drawing by me

So this is my first drawing on here. Not sure how often I'll post my art though, since I'm still working out a lot of things with my artstyle. Like, it's very hit-or-miss for me lol.

Anyways, I did like how this one turned out for sure, so I'm sharing it. I think both MC and Logan should have been GOC honestly. I like to think the f!version would be called Lola. Or Lois. Or heck maybe even just Logan, a girl being named Logan sounds pretty cool. Granted I didn't care much for the story either way, but if you know me well you know I'd have loved a genderswapped version of that loading screen.

I drew this on paper with pencil first. Then I took a photo of it and colored it in, added some lighting and hue touch-ups, and added and edited the background of the original on Photoshop/Photopea. The blurry parts are me painting over the areas where the characters from the original cover were still showing.

SO glad that Mona broke out of prison but super disappointed in MC for not having a part in it. What was the point of telling her that we would get her out some day at the hospital if she was left to do it alone???????

I hope MC at least tried but was too late or something but there’s no way of knowing because the book was cancelled. I like that we get to be with the LI of our choice in the end though.

Also Colt being engaged was not something I expected to happen in a 5 year time skip lol

‘I don't get the past hype about RoD and while people were sad when RoD2 was cancelled when it's like.. The most mediocre and cliche  book ever? Nerdy girl? Check. Bad boy who flirts with her for no reason? Check. Treating a normal party as if it's something very bad and rule-breaking? Check. MC deciding that it's better to commit crimes with a guy she just met is better than simply breath through breath analyser? Check. Really, it's just feels like a fanfic from 13 y.o. on wattpad that was written by someone who doesn't live in America and knows stuff about it only from teenage dramas’
