The problem for Ashe is PICKING. Having spent most of her life in La Noscea, she's got such a love for different kinds of fruit. La Noscean Oranges, Lowland Grapes, Apricots, Prickly Pineapples — and that's just a sample of what's in the game, let alone other possibilities! I can totally see her carting around different kinds of fruit leather when she's out adventuring or packing dried fruit in amongst various trail mixes. But, were I to be honest, I think she's just as happy with a knife and whatever's in season.

osamu loves the taste of the chocolatey cookie bits and the sweet cream coating the biscuit... but he loves the taste of your lips even more. he may not seem like it, but osamu enjoys seeing you lose your composure as his seemingly calm face gets closer and closer to you. he wordlessly chomps down generous portions of the biscuit, his unfazed expression unchanging as his lips are only a hair's width away from you.

he bites forward, looking into your eyes as you get even more flustered and shy. pulling the remaining bits of the pocky away from you, osamu eats the biscuit up, kinda disappointing you because he hadn't kissed you... until he leaned over and pressed his lips against yours, pushing the piece of the pocky biscuit he was going eat into your mouth.

atsumu miya. — mango pocky.

atsumu loves being a teasing little shit, chuckling and pointing out how cute you look when pissed off at his smug grinning. he purposely takes big bites out of the pocky, and every time you pull away or back out, he insists on doing the challenge once more.

the blonde's determined to get a kiss from you, though he doesn't wanna be the one to initiate–he wants you to kiss him, he wants you to want to kiss him. after multiple failed attempts, his confidence slowly starts to wane as you show zero interest in kissing him.

until you break off a piece of the pocky again, and unexpectedly, you cup his face in your hands and kiss him, leaving him all red and pink, flushed–all the way down to his neck and shoulders.

bokuto kotaro. — almond crush vanilla pocky.

bokuto enjoys eating the crunchy biscuit, though he enjoys seeing your face directly across his when he's biting into it. he doesn't exactly know what's so challenging about eating up a pocky stick with you, but he does love seeing you stare into his eyes and get a bit shy when he's staring back at you with a sweet smile.

he swears the pocky stick tastes even sweeter now, and he doesn't know why! maybe he should share his pocky with you more often, though why do you look so sad when he lets you have the bigger piece when you're both finishing the pocky up?

There was a fruit basket on the table at debrief.

Tony eyed it skeptically. He was quite hungry, but there had never been a basket of fruit available to him like this after a battle before. Was it for the whole team? Should he wait for someone else to grab some before he started in? He eyed a mango in front. It was perfectly ripe. He could smell it. He felt his fangs extending. Maybe, once everyone was in discussion, he could just reach out and—

Steve reached for the mango, and Tony made a sound of dismay before he could stop himself.

“…Uh,” Steve said awkwardly when everyone turned to look in concern. “I. Was just reaching to get it for you.” He handed the mango over, looking embarrassed. “I thought it was too far to reach. I don’t like mangoes.”

The proper thing would have been to take it from Steve’s hand with his own. But the smell was much sweeter now that it was closer to his face, and Tony couldn’t stop himself from leaning in and chomping down like a pit bull with food aggression on a piece of meat.

“Fuck!” Steve yelped, instinctively pulling his hand back, and yelped again when he dragged Tony with him. “Tony!”

Kirigakure Worldbuilding II - Specialties

Inspired by a recent conversation I had with @pxssy-stuntin-for-itxchi, I got wanted to add more to my Kirigakure worldbuiling post!

Food Preservation Since except for a month during the winter, it never really gets cold in Kirigakure. This has lead to its citizens becoming very creative at enhancing the shelf life of the food that they have. Meat/fish is dry-aged and smoked, fruits are turned into preserve, cheong, or slow-dried. Dairy is a luxury in the water realm, so there are a lot of plant based dairy alternatives already, so it’s no surprise the wave realm has a quite big vegetarian and vegan population. Even though their spice tolerance is not the highest, when talking SALT tolerance, no village can beat Kiri. They are VERY generous with salting their food. In order to get a smokey flavor to any dish, you can obtain smoked salt everywhere in the country. The water realm was the first region the come up with the concept of fermentation of food. Milk is turned into yoghurt and cabbage is turned into kimchi and its more popular variant - sauerkraut. Fun fact: Suigetsu comes from a high ranking caste, so he actually was able to afford dairy yoghurt and jello with actual gelatine, and they're his favorite foods.

Kimchi and Sauerkraut

The general spice tolerance of Kiri citizens is not the highest across the shinobi world, so kimchi is mostly exported to Konoha and Suna. The cabbage grown in the water realm is specifically bred to be extra heat resistant and crunchy. In order to cut down on waste, the excess is turned into sauerkraut juice. To put less of a strain on the public healthcare system, the water realm government has issued its citizens to exercise and eat healthy – especially children. To get more children to drink sauerkraut juice, it is produced in portable, biodegradable little juice boxes which are handed out for free in the Kirigakure academy. Every Kiri genin has tasted it atleast once. Scurvy was once a big problem for most shinobi going on long term stealth missionas, since most just lived off dried meat and crackers, except for Kiri Nin, since they always carry sauerkraut juice (and kumquats) with them.

Fruit

Mangos: With their sweet and fruity taste, they’re popular amongst children, especially when dried, rolled into balls with an added sugar crust. While other countries see them as a special treat they’re a staple in Kiri. Papaya: Another Kiri staple. It is eaten either as a fruit in its orange form or in its green form in more hearty dishes. The seeds are ground and sold as a pepper alternative. Its extracts of the are used by the Kiri beauty industry, which is the biggest one, closely followed by Suna's beauty industry. Peaches: Often grown on the mountaintops of the water realm, they’re loved all over the country. Peach trees are seen as a sign of fertility, renewal and good luck. The pits are turned into persipan, which many foreigners don't like. Durian: Those stinky fruit are banned in Kiri’s public spaces. However, it is still the most popular fruit overall, so only a few get exported yearly, much to the other countries' durian lovers' chagrin. Jackfruit: Not a lot of Kiri citizens like its fleshy texture but it is often used as meat alternative by Kiri’s large plant-based population. Lychee: They’re often sugared and canned, or added to jelly. They're amongst the most popular fruit to make cheong with.

Kumquat: Kiri nin love them because they’re basically easily portable, vitamin c filled snacks. Other honorable mentions include: Rambutan, Mangosteen, Starfruit, Cherimoya, Soursop, Yuzu and Tamarillo.

Jelly If you’ve read my last post on Kiri specialties, you probably know that instead of manufactured candy, Sweet tooths (teeth?) in Kiri chomp down on dried fruit, fermented sugary sticky rice and – jelly. Gelatine, like most non fish animal products, is a luxury so most jellies are made with agar-agar, a plant based “gelatine”. Just take some fruit juice and set it with agar – and there you have jelly. Most foreigners find Kiri’s obsession with jelly pudding off-putting, but that doesn’t stop them. Fun fact: Suigetsu comes from a high ranking caste, so he actually was able to afford dairy yoghurt and jello with actual gelatine, and they're his favorite foods. Non food fun fact: As genetic engineering gets more advanced and Kirigakure already having no issues using bacteria, they're also the biggest exporter of nutrient agar for agar plates which are used for the cultivation of bacteria and funghi. Kigakure is the leading village when it comes to biological and medical advancements, which is why Orochimaru has visited very often (and eventually ran into Kimimaro)

Summer stings.

You tell no intricate metaphors here; it hurts when the sun is constantly beating down upon you and the humidity begins to constrict, only aiding the sun in its cruel unending efforts.

But right now, you've made your getaway, if only temporary.

You almost feel bad for Kazuha, practically boiling in his attempts to shield you from the bright blazes. 

Almost.

Because now you've found another reason to rise in temperature; he's hovering peacefully above you, but lowering your gaze reveals the lack of his usual half-tied haori, leaving the loose short-sleeved white fabric underneath. And of course, it only further exposes his chest, because God must certainly hate you, why else?

You can't help but ogle. After all, when else would you have the chance to appreciate such a sight? 

[ You know he is only a request away, should you desire anything, but it's gratifying nonetheless ].

Despite the tantalising fruit currently dripping down your throat, Kazuha is more ravishing for sure.

And he notices.

In the haze of heat, his words barely reach you [ accompanied with soft panting, because you notice everything about Kazuha, and he notices everything about you in return ].

"My, my. You seem quite distracted."

And he has the audacity to ask if something's the matter. This man is unbelievable, but the results of his ministrations sre very real, unfortunately.

You drag your noncompliant eyes up and away from his chest [ with the occasional tears of burning skin descending, with you or further to his abdomen as its destination ] meeting his expectant ones, a mirage in an endless desert.

You shiver despite it being early summer.

The mango in your hold is looking more like an edible excuse than a source of fulfillment. And so, you shrink back, further pressuring the light grass beneath. And you simply sink your teeth into it, savouring the [ actually enjoyable ] taste of sunshine. A silent challenge, Kazuha takes it.

Who would he be to deny you, flushed beautifully beneath him?

His eyes narrow, and suddenly the temperature seems to have spiked. You're convinced even the sun adheres to his elegance and serves him along with the wind which seems to frame his face just perfectly.

The heat affects him as well, yes, but it somehow affects you more, albeit indirectly; summer sobs across his skin, clinging desperately to cloth causing it to mold to his figure. The vague outlines of his abdomen are visible, breathing infuriatingly composed for what he's doing to you. What he definitely knows he's doing to you.

As if that wasn't even enough, Kazuha's hair frames his face exquisitely, highlighted with citrus rays. He glows under the sunlight.

This is too much. You almost choke on the piece of fruit currently lodged in your throat, barely able to suppress it with a particularly severe gulp. 

A flash of worry crosses his visage and you keel under his concern, swallowing harshly and sheepishly smiling.

Kazuha simply raises a brow, and his eyes dance with mirth and his panic dissipates. Your smile reaches him, touches his soul, and Kazuha finds himself acquiesced. He decides to tease you anyway.

"Dove," he chimes. The sound tickles the air, rejoiced and euphoric upon contact. "Don't choke, now.”

There's something in his voice, something devious that he lets through the selective gates of tone. 

All you offer is an incredulous gaze, taking another defiant chomp out of the fruit you hold. You fail to notice the single juice droplet trickling down your chin, your jaw, the underside of your neck. 

Tantalising, his gaze betrays his abashedness and finds itself in pursuit.

Needless to say, perceptive, scheming Kazuha notices, but the haze of heat has clutched him as well.

He breathes out an 'ah', and he looks as if he's rummaging for words where there would be, without fail, as he contemplates just what to do with you. 

Featherlight, Kazuha's lashes narrow, focus on his target, not the drip of mango, but the pulse point of your neck where it currently resides.

He leans down [ with intent, so clear usually unlike his alluding nature ] and the proximity, the illusion of contact makes your head spin and daze. 

A stray strand of silk drapes his features. The sky clears.

Day 29: Present

Macaque x Reader

"Morning, gorgeous… I brought up some breakfast."

Opening your eyes, you rolled over on the bed just in time to greet Macaque as he came to the top of the steps. Smiling through still lingering sleep, you yawned and moved over so he could sit down, perking up as he handed you your breakfast.

"Mangoes again?" you asked playfully as the fruit was pressed into your palm, finding it cute how much he enjoyed them. Pausing to shrug just before he could take a bite, Macaque laid down at your side, happily munching on the ripe juiciness before he offered an answer.

"I like stone fruit, what can I say?" he said with his mouth full, making you chuckle at how utterly relaxed he was in your presence. Pressing up against his side, you took a much more polite bite of your own breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, so you certainly couldn't complain about his choices. A bit of variety in the future wouldn't be a bad idea though…

"I'll have to get up early and make us something one of these days." you suggested after a moment of thought, getting on your phone to scroll through the morning posts on your socials. A particularly tasty looking plate of sweets gave you an idea. "How would you feel about mango pancakes?"

Macaque tried and failed to hide his enthusiasm, but he still played it cool as best he could, shrugging and chomping down on his fruit as if you hadn't just suggested the breakfast of his dreams.

"I'd be cool with that…"

Chuckling at his antics, you happily finished up your mango and settled in to enjoy the rest of the early morning. You could hear the world waking up outside the window, but felt no compulsion to join it just yet. Recipes for delicious meals you might someday make scrolled across your screen without any particular urgency, and you allowed the relaxed atmosphere to pull a sigh from your lips. It was impossibly nice just to enjoy these little moments, snuggling against Macaque and having nothing particular to accomplish… how far the two of you had come, and how much farther you planned to go…

There was still nothing better than now, the moment the two of you got to enjoy together.

Dramage New Mon!

My friend wanted me to redraw his pokemon and add it to my region so that I shall.

First evo [that he asked me to make cuz he made only two]

Hipud, The Muddy Water Pokemon, Mono Water Type.

Scientists have found out that Hipud are distant relatives to the Spheal line, which isn't even in Dramage. Hipud roll around in mud, making them both less hot, and when it hardens giving them a shield. Hipud's diet consists solely of oranges, apples, bananas, mangos, and kelp!

[Ability:Muddy Skin]

Muddy skin acts as a renamed shed skin.

Frippo, The Muddy Scaled Pokemon, Water Ground Type.

Frippo walk more in mud than Hipud, making their legs also covered in mud. Their Backs mud has hardened slightly, but isn't fully developed. Frippo, dispite cute looks, are dangerous, and tear some of the roughest scales with ease. Frippo aren't as aggressive as many other "dangerous" pokemon, and are more friendly than expected, but if you enter its territory it will stop and nothing to have that be the last place you ever visit.

[Ability: Muddy Spikes]

Muddy Spikes act as a renamed Rough Skin.

Skullippo, The Muddy Shield Pokemon, Water Ground Type.

Skullippo have a exo-skeleton, but only on their head, with a second skull. Skullippo are very violent and attack on sight, and dispite their looks, are very fast, and are able to crush smaller animals skeletons in a single chomp if they tried. They have glowing marking on their belly, which glow when happy, or readying a attack. Skullippo also have a spikey frill which they use to both attack, but mostly to attract a mate. Skullippo also eat grass type pokemon, and some liking fairy types now, but will eat smaller and weaker pokemon if they get their hands on one. Sometimes it mistakes human children for pokemon and tries eating them, but when realizing its human spits then out and heals them using mud, as they like human kids, yet don't care about human adults.

[Ability:Mud Rush]

Mud Rush is Skullippo's signature ability. Mud Rush makes it so if Skullippo goes lower than half health, their Defense and speed stats swap places until they heal back up! [Both speed and defense stats are good for Skullippo, but defense is better by a bit.]
