Shark looked so tired, so exhausted in this new apocalyptic world, but he had to remain strong, for Ashton. I mean, he only had him now. As Ashton ask the question, Shark really wasn’t sure how to answer the question. How was he to explain death to him now, in a world surrounded by death. 

“I-.. uh..” He wasn’t sure how to explain that his parents were now dead... Shark had to witness their deaths, he had protected Ashton from seeing it but now, he had to explain. It was hard for him, losing two best friends, and now having explain to their son that they weren’t coming back.

He knelt down to be level with him. “They're..they’re, gone, Ashton. To a much better place than where we are now.” He was usually good with dealing with stuff, but it was obvious that he wasn’t as strong as he should be. It just all went to shit so fast..

alright lemme give u a nice List

the first hlvrai fic i ever read was "they shine brighter outside" by chonkadonk and it's a great one. (boomer, rated G)

the "love, benry" series (2 fics) by neonowes hurts me and it's also great. (frenrey, rated T for benny die.)

"secure and guard" by spacemancharisma is one of my absolute faves <3 benny protecc. (frenrey, rated T for swearing)

"atonement and enticement" by tealgreenhealingbeam is another one of my absolute faves. it's very long and i've commented on it like 20 times. i'm not going to count tho. (frenreylatta, rated T for swearing and violence) the rest of the fics in the series are also A+

"hot dilfs in your area" by waitineedaname is absolutely adorable. (frenrey & queerplatonic tomrey, rated T for swearing)

"you don't need to run anymore" by morphlingunderscore is a good one if you like Gordon Angst as much as i do. (that is to say, a lot.) (frenrey, rated T)

"you show up, soulmark out, ruining shit" by saintsaint is an epic poggers soulmate au where benrey's species expresses soulmates differently than humans. (frenrey, rated T for violence and swearing) gordon is very self-loathing in this one...

"running on empty" by silverbreeze424 is another good Gordon Angst one. (frenrey but it can be read as platonic, rated T for canon-typical Gordon Loses His Arm.)

"the boy who cried wolf" by jestrdoll is yet another of my absolute favorites. i've been meaning to make fanart of this one, actually, but i haven't gotten around to it yet. (frenrey, rated T) this one also unlocked a memory in me: i had a v-smile as a kid.
