Do you think Adrien is the only problem the show has?

Nah, if he was the only problem in the show I'd enjoy it more 😂

The thing is, I think the show did dirty to most of the characters. Adrien has so much potential, but it all the show does is praising him for how "perfect and amazing" he is and it's disappointing. We know he's controlled by his father, but it's like going in circles (also I hated how S5 ended).

I will not get into a rant of how romantic feelings are portrayed in the show, we have some good examples but the main couple's relationship isn't among those imo

Honestly, the biggest problem of the show is the pacing. They add a lot of new things, but most of them are hardly explained and it feels like they're simply throwing it at the audience, starting from Marinette's cultural background to whatever there is between Gabriel and Tomoe...

Are there Adrien Salt takes that you disagree with?

I don't think so? But I don't read salt that much so I can't say if there's a take I don't agree with. He had potential in the first episodes of the show, but he was ruined by the writers like many other characters. I definitely prefer fanon Adrien to canon, but again I don't read fics focused on him.

Really? Why's that?

It felt like they were rushing it and it kinda ruined it for me? I mean the first time we see Marinette she's already singing to her mom if she'll ever find her place in the word and I found it a bit odd since this part of her has never been introduced in the movie. And from then on, I started pointing out every inconsistency I could see 😆

The dialogues sounded a bit clichè as well, but it might have been the dubbing in my native language to have done that.

As for the rest, it was an enjoyable movie and it made more sense than the original series at least, but I don't think I'll watch it again soon.

Eurovision...

My dear darling Airi, I know what you're talking about and I really really wish I could share more about that Eurovision fic, but unfortunately I haven't been able to work on my wips in the last months and none of the bits I've written is worth sharing. The more I think about things in regards to the series, especially Chat Blanc and the latest episode, the more Lukanette makes complete sense. I used to be able to tolerate the Love Square at least but now I can't see how the series can end on a happy note with it.

soulmate au? I am weak

This AU is based on the prompt "You get flowered tattoos wherever your soulmate receives a scar". I've summed Marinette being very accident prone to Tikki being only partially able to heal Ladybug's wounds after a fight (she is healed but the scars remain), and a very clueless Luka wakes up every morning to find new flowers across his body. It's mainly on the upper arms area, and they're so many that Luka gets a snake tattoed across his arms to at least break the continuity of the apple blossoms decorating them. Marinette doesn't dare to hope that he's her soulmate, until Juleka tells her that he has a scar under his right foot. I still have to figure out how it goes from there 😆

Eurovision today, huh? (No pressure just 👀 )

I have this feeling that my AU where Italy finally wins Eurovision will predict the outcome of this year’s contest but I don’t wanna set my hopes up 😆 btw check Måneskin out if you can because they are awesome and I’m making them the former winners of the Contest in my AU (or: if they can’t win irl I’m making them win anyway xD)

It was after the first interviews came out that Kitty Section had started to become popular among the fans of the contest. Luka and Rose handled most of the conversation with the interviewers, him answering the questions politely and her chiming in to excitedly say how honoured they were to be representing their country in such a beautiful, beautiful place . The uncomfortable questions were avoided with ease, and as the days passed between one interview and another Luka found himself more comfortable around the cameras, even if he should have been used to them by now. Maybe it was because instead of thinking about the fact that millions of people would be watching him and make fun of him if the words tripped on his tongue, he was more focused on Marinette looking at the whole band with a smile full of pride from the back of the room.

“Can you tell us something more about your performance?” the interviewer asked, his voice breaking Luka from his thoughts.

Luka cleared his throat, but it was Rose who talked in his place and only asked for his contribution when she was sure that he was listening to what she was saying. Somehow, Marinette drew his attention away from the interview more often than usual that day. She was looking at a piece of paper Ruby handed her, and caught her bottom lip between her theeth as she studied what was written on it. As if sharing the room and the bed with her wasn’t enough already.

“… our friend Marinette designed our costumes for us,” he heard Rose say, and his head snapped up. He ignored Ivan’s low chuckle as he took a breath to gain composure, and saw Marinette smile at him shyly.

I can't decide between "Midnight Spaghetti" and "Drunk Talks Part 2"

Okay since I've already given a snipped of Drunk Talks Part 2 here, I'll tell you more about Midnight Spaghetti 😆

This was supposed to be ready by today since I wrote it for this week's sprint challenge, but I've been thinking about changing some stuff and it needs some more work.

The prompt I wrote for was "comfort food" from mlweeklyprompts.

“I need a pot”, Marinette said as she pushed herself on her tiptoes to rummage through the pantry and get the box of spaghetti laying on the higher shelf.

Luka chuckled before leaning in and effortlessly catching the box Marinette needed, handing it to her. She cursed quietly before grabbing the spaghetti from his hand, “You and your stupid tall genes.”

“I’m pretty sure you need help from me and my stupid tall genes, though,” he teased as he set the pot filled with water on the stove. Before Marinette could complain any longer, he turned to press a light kiss on her lips.

Black butterflies and déjà vu? 👀

Oooh this one is pretty angsty and I haven't sat down to work on it properly yet.

It's set after the events in Silencer, Luka has really bad nightmares about those events and many times he dreams of being face to face with his Akumatized form that speaks to him and voices his ugliest thoughts about himself.

He can handle it until he dreams about hurting Marinette, which sends him into a spiral of sleepless nights and avoiding Marinette whenever he can. That is, until he collapses on his bed and has the same dreams again, he jolts up from where he is only to be soothed by Marinette's voice calling him quietly. She comforts him, and eventually he falls asleep while she's holding onto him.

Ooh! For the WIP ask, what's Flowers and Guitars??

To put it shortly: it's @verfound's fault, she was talking about Luka using pressed flowers to decorate a guitar for Marinette and I thought what if instead of making it for her he made it for their daughter?

I'm borrowing the House Band for this one, but basically as Harmony's 10th birthday is approaching he wants to make her a very special guitar and while he picks out the pressed flowers he's kept during the years he relives the memories attached to them. There are flowers from the bouquet of their first date to the one of their wedding, and the one he got her right after Harmony was born to apologize for getting arrested the same day. There are the forget me nots Harmony brought him from their garden because "They're blue like your hair Papa!" and lavender from the time they went to Provence together... So it's basically a trip down memory lane through flowers for Luka while the kids mess up with him 😆

I'd like to know more about Something For You hahaha (also Don't Paint Me Black if you wanna) 👀

All I can say about Don't Paint Me Black is that it's the prequel of the Single Parents AU, I'm planning on making it a series on ao3 and this is Luka's point of view with his love interest leaving him and his kid and him bringing him up alone. The title comes from Clairvoyant by The Story So Far.

As for Something For You, it's based on a fanart. Unfortunately the author's Twitter profile is private so I can't share it, but the caption was "Mari just can’t dom Luka" so maybe you've already seen it around?

Anyway, this was my first attempt at writing nsfw and it definitely needs a lot of more work, it's a huge step out of my comfort zone. I'll leave a snippet under the cut!

Luka let out a moan as Marinette climbed on top of him, and when Marinette kissed him again he clung to her more desperately, his hands squeezing her back. His hips raised against hers, and Marinette’s moan died in her mouth when Luka's tongue slid in her mouth, kissing her hungrily. Marinette pulled away, nibbling his lower lip before she looked down at him. His chest was rising quickly, his hair already messy and disheveled from their making out, all Marinette wanted to do was focus on him and he wasn’t on the verge of what she had in mind for him yet. His hands slid in her jeans slowly and he pushed them down until Marinette stopped him, grabbed his hands and pinned them at the sides of his head. Luka gasped, but he didn’t seem to complain as Marinette started trailing wet kisses down his chest, nibbling on the sensitive skin and leaving marks on her way down to his stomach. She felt his muscle tense when she reached for the waistband of his boxers, but before she could free his throbbing erection, she stood up from the bed, making Luka’s eyes open and his expression switch from pleasure to confusion.

“What’s wrong?” he rasped out and pushed his weight on his elbows to look at her. Marinette’s hand pushed him back down, and she let out a soft giggle as she leaned to his ear, “Nothing’s wrong, I just want to do something for you”, she purred, and before Luka could catch his breath to reply, she had already flashed to the bathroom to change.

His groan was muffled by the door, “You could do me.”
