authors note : i’m back ! it only took a year for me to finally drop part two of cool people. i truly appreciate all the love i’ve received from part one along with my blog in general. truly if people didn’t ask for a part two this would have just sat in my drafts for eternity. so thank you for all the love truly ! y’all are mother fuckin’  best and more chris content to come <3.
Time wasn’t something she was sensitive to. Explicitly, the passage of time as a year seemed to pass by in merely a few months.
Working had always come naturally to her. Her parents' hunger to succeed was an appetite she’d clearly inherited. The need for sleep or spending time with her peers had at one point come second to spending hours in her cramped recording studio converted basement. She wouldn’t allow herself to relish in her achievements because all she could seem to focus on was the next task.
Imposter syndrome had become a major topic between her and her therapist. She’d recently started sharing with her family her experience of waking up in the middle of the night with tight breaths stuck in her throat as she felt like a stranger in her own body.
Her Mom and Dad were extremely worried, with one of them calling or texting her at least once a day to check in. Her younger brother, Wyatt, suggested for the tenth time this year that he could join her in LA and help out. He’d just graduated from high school and successfully convinced their parents to participate in a gap year to really explore his options. Of course, that came with the price of finding a job, and being a dishwasher at Dad’s bakery wasn’t, in his words, cuttin’ it.
Her older brother, Anthony, and his boyfriend politely forced her to join them on a four-day weekend vacation to the Caribbean, where she was forced to take part in the "Double U’s".
"You’ve just got to Unplug and Unwind."
Conveniently, the escape to paradise fell upon the 95th Oscar nomination announcements.
It was her first major motion picture project. She spent months working under numerous conductors in preparation and even bought a membership to the LA Philharmonic because she’d started frequenting concerts for research. She’d often wear the hoodie she bought at the gift shop to rehearsals.
During every part of the process, she had complete creative control. From section leader auditions to picking out what type of mics would be used for recording sessions. Never had she felt more challenged creatively. Yes, at one point she thought she would develop sores on her temples with the constant rubbing away of migraines. She was smoking nonstop due to the stress and anxiety. Her messages were going unread. And while it was unhealthy, at the time she hadn’t been happier.
It was in her contract when she agreed to do the movie's score that she would be submitted for competition. It would be her first time conducting, with most of the members of the orchestra having never done such a big project either. She wanted to make sure she was opening doors for as many people as she could, giving them the shot she had been gracious enough to get herself.
At the very least, she expected a couple film festivals and critics to give her a pat on the back for her efforts. A handful of positive reviews and, at most, one of the best experiences she ever had the privilege of being a part of.
But the movie was a commercial hit, and whispers began to surround her.
So it wasn’t a surprise that her brother crafted this scheme behind her back. They were so close that he always seemed to know what was best for her before she could even figure out what was wrong. However, it took Anthony dunking her into the crystal blue ocean fully clothed for her to admit the escapism was helping immensely.
On the last day, she was abruptly woken up at six in the morning by the sound of tiny confetti cannons going off. Two grown men came barreling in, jumping up and down ceremoniously on her bed while chanting her name. Quickly, an iPad was thrust into her hands, with a bright blue light displaying a Zoom call with family and close friends all congratulating her.
Five years ago, she was a sound engineer for an independent music label and a background vocalist for an experimental R&B group.
She was now an Academy Award nominee. The thirteenth woman and youngest person ever nominated for Best Original Score
Through blurred eyes, riddled with shock and still slightly drowsy, she was full-blown crying while she blabbed during the call. Luckily, her very big family was filled with very BIG personalities, so no one seemed to comment on even notice as they talked over each other. Except one, and she was so grateful to see the man she was missing the most pixilated image gaze at her fondly in the corner of the screen.
Chris was just starting to become a constant in her life during pre-production, even if it felt like he had somehow always been there. In the span of their year together, he wasn’t just helping her by being there; he was helping her grow as a person. He was enriching her life, even if she dreaded the early morning yoga classes he made her go to or the weekly kale smoothies he had her drink. Chris was so in tune with his emotions and so open with her that she started working on herself to do the same. No longer did she feel embarrassed by how often she craved his presence. She constantly ached for his soothing voice, which always seemed to be the perfect remedy for calming her down. His touch was a sweet elixir that made all her worries disappear.
But the consistent praise, reassurance, and love that Chris provided her was the exact reason why she was able to be this open. After all, this was her first serious relationship to any degree.
Everything was looking up until the photos leaked.
LA nights this time of year were a bit brisk, but that did nothing to divert the couple's attention from one another.
They’d just had dinner and were now waiting for the valet to bring Chris’s car around. He’d picked her up from a meeting in West Hollywood earlier that evening and surprised her with a reservation at a new restaurant she’d been wanting to try. He got back from press in England a couple days ago, and they've managed so far to do at least one thing every day together since.
"You smell heavenly." He stood behind her, arms wrapped around her waist, encouraging her to rest her back against his chest. Her white tank top was a little more casual than she’d preferred to wear, but it did nothing to defer her mood with the way he’d been looking at her all night.
"Oh? Maybe it’s cause someone thought I needed a new perfume?" With sarcasm dripping from her voice, she could feel his lips smirking against the skin of her neck. One of Chris’s love languages was gift-giving. He spoiled her beyond comprehension, and it was something she was still getting used to. He was a person so used to luxury that at times she had to remind him she was still ‘new money’.
"I’m telling you, I just couldn’t get the scent out of my head." He pulled away and moved his hand to gently turn your head to face him. He held a serious gaze, and she kept her lips tight to stop herself from snickering. Always dramatic, Chris had already told her this story twice. But he spoke with so much passion and looked at her with so much awe that she didn’t have the heart to stop him from repeating it.
"I thought at first it was just one of a random coffee. Or maybe a poorly advertised flower shop, because I’d at times smell fresh tulips, but the street the hotel was on was honestly, baby, bleek and underwhelming. So, one day we finished early, and I’d just gotten off the phone with you to say goodnight. I went for a walk, and lo and behold, just at the end of the block, guess what I saw."
Looking up at him, she brushed a fallen strand of hair from his face and couldn’t imagine being more in love with anyone at that exact moment.
"No, whatcha see?"
He smiled at her encouragement for him to continue. "Down the same street I’d taken my run just the day before, I'd look to my left , and right there is a quaint little perfume shop. One that had been there for over one hundred years. Now, I felt like there was a reason I hadn’t noticed it till then, and that day the air had a particular sweet scent lingering. One that seemed so familiar, but yet I couldn’t put my finger on it, so I went inside to investigate." At this point, she’d turned her whole body towards Chris to give him her full attention. He kept one arm around her waist; not one inch of space separated their bodies. His other hand was resting on her neck, his thumb lightly gazing at her jaw while he kept eye contact.
"It was obvious the place had history. Filled to the brim with different vials and incense that you’d think would be overwhelming, but it was actually very calming. One scent seemed to stand out amongst the rest—one that reminded me of someone, one that smelled like home."
He allowed his thumb to graze over her bottom lip for a third time; he couldn’t seem to stop himself. "The nice shopkeeper said one of the ingredients is honeycomb that’s derived from a local bee farm in town. So it’s one of a kind, just like you."
She grew shy, diverting her attention to see the valet pulling up next to them. As she watched the young man approach them, she gave him a soft smile but felt Chris eyes still on her. Hands still on her.
"Sir, your keys."
That seemed to knock the older man out of his trance. "Thank you." Chris stepped away to grab his keys and passed the man a tip before leading her to the passenger side of the car, hand dangerously low on her back. It seemed they could never go a few moments together without some sort of physical contact.
"She also said that it had a hint of jasmine, which is a natural aphrodisiac."
He whispered this into her ear while reaching for her seatbelt to buckle her in. It was something he liked to do often—another little trait that always filled her with warmth and made her head fog.
"Wait…" He’d never shared that fact. "You got me a pheromone perfume?"
As he finished bulking her in, he pulled back and gave her a sly wink.
"How else am I going to get you to fall in love with me?"
TMZ had taken their photos at some point without their knowledge. Selling them off to god knows how many entertainment outlets and gossip blogs in less than twelve hours. She woke up to an article link sent by her manager the next morning.
Daily Mail
Neighborly Romance!? Chris Pine and Musician Kapital looked quite comfortable together while grabbing dinner in LA.
Can’t say anyone saw this one coming!
Kapital, the two-time Grammy-winning artist, was seen being embraced by the Dungeons and Dragons star while out enjoying a quiet night at one of LA’s newest restaurants. The actor, 42, was all smiles as the couple stood waiting for a valet. Pine dressed in a classic white button-up and timeless slacks, while Kapital opted for a more relaxed outfit with a long denim skirt paired with a leather jacket.
This news comes just days after the announcement of the Queens-based musician's surprising Academy Award nomination for Best Score, making her the youngest nominee in the category's history.
This isn’t the first time the pair has been seen together, having previously been spotted accompanying one another on walks around their neighborhood in Studio City. However, since living next door to each other since 2020, it’s the first time it's been insinuated that there might be more than just trips to the local coffee shop where their relationship stops.
They weren’t even kissing, but it was obvious from the intimate position they were caught in that it wasn’t just two neighbors grabbing a bite to eat. She read over the article multiple times, squeezing Chris bicep as he slept soundly next to her.
Their little bubble was slowly cracking. They knew with their individual careers that it would eventually happen, but mourning its loss and what was to come from it was a step into the unknown neither of them had yet faced.

Apparently, sunshine is rare this time of year in Berlin. Its appearance was delightful, as it aligned perfectly with her impromptu visit to the city.
With her sternum pressed into the iron railing of the hotel balcony, dozens of hours spent on a plane made her exceptionally appreciative of the fresh air. But, hell, she couldn’t really complain. First class never ceased to surpass her expectations.
She’d never been flown out by someone outside of work-related engagements. Especially during one of the busiest times in her life, and it took multiple people's permission to get her here so quickly. Her manager, Grace, was the hardest to convince. They’d been working together since the very beginning of both of their careers. Being Grace’s first client out of business school, she was the older sister she never had and always cherished both her work and personal opinion.
She raced around her room hastily packing while continuing to glance periodically at her propped phone on her dresser. Grace was seen in her big designer reading glasses while she rubbed her pregnant belly with skepticism on their FaceTime call last night.
"Are you sure about this? I’ll have to call GQ and see if they're willing to reschedule."
"I mean, I’ll be back Sunday afternoon, just in time for the interview Monday. And besides, he already bought the ticket."
She heard the sound of Grace crunching angrily at another Pringle.
"Of course, when I’ve begged you to take a break, you’ve wanted to keep working. But now that we have the literal OSCARS next week, you wanna go off to Europe to be with your DILF boyfriend."
She could hear Grace’s husband off camera telling her to watch her heart rate; she’s notorious for having a bit of a short fuse, and stress was not good for the baby.
"Wait, Chris doesn’t have any kids?"
"Babe, his dog counts."
They both laughed before Grace sighed. "As your manager, I can’t help but not be the biggest fan of this situation; it’s a slight distraction. But as your friend, I’ve seen how he makes you feel. Hell, everyone has. So fuck it, what’s a couple days?" She continued, looking at the younger girl fondly. "Your best interests are always my top priority, even if it means allowing you to go drop your pants for Captain Kirk."
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice the text she had gotten a text until the two minute notification reminder went off. Walking back into the suite, she flopped on one of the luxurious armchairs unlocking her phone.
Chris
On my way up.
She’d just barely arrived, not even twenty minutes ago, delusionally thinking she’d have more time to freshen herself up.
Racing to the master bathroom, she had no time to admire the space before quickly washing her face and brushing her teeth. There was no time to change into the provocative lounge wear she’d originally planned to greet him in, hoping the sweatsuit set wasn’t a complete turnoff.
Just as she walked back into the living room, she was met with the sound of the front door opening.
"Sweets! I’m he-." Chris was adorned in a pale blue suit, soft against his lightly bronzed skin. He’d been outside a lot helping her with her garden as they were approaching spring in LA.
He didn’t finish his exclamation. Instead, he kept his eyes glued on her, as if like a hunter that’d just been noticed by its prey. She stood frozen, only allowing herself to watch him as he moved across the room with calculated steps.
He placed a golden box down on the coffee table, finally reaching her position at the master bedrooms entryway. Chris didn’t want anything to prevent him from grabbing the sides of her face, standing so impossibly close that she was forced to look up at him. Personal space was nonexistent in the couple’s vocabulary.
"Hi," She whispered.
"Hello baby."
Kissing Chris always felt like the first time. The action of him leaning down to capture her lips never failed to make her lightheaded. The dragging of his top lip as it flushed against hers always left her breathless. He’d managed to slightly suck her bottom lip in between his every time, whether it was a chaste peck or a full-on make-out.
Her hands moved to grip his white undershirt tightly, his lean abs prominent under her touch.
God, those yoga classes were paying off.
He didn’t release her until a soft whine escaped from her throat, satisfied at how breathless he’d made her.
"Look at you." Sky-blue eyes shamelessly traveled over her body as she nuzzled her face into his palm. "Was the flight okay? Did you get any rest?"
She scoffed at his worry. "Yes, everything was fine. Short layover in London, so I got some Nando’s. Was practically in a food coma the rest of the way here."
He let out a deep hum in approval, gently caressing the apples of her cheeks with his thumb. "That sounds good, baby. I still want you to be relaxed." She knows he’s referring to his last-minute request for her to be there with him. As soon as he asked her to come, he felt guilty because she had so much going on herself.
"Chris, I wouldn’t have come if I didn’t want to. Missed you too."
That warranted another kiss. She could feel his smile as he cheekily slipped his tongue quickly over hers.
"Wanna take a bath together?" Eyes still closed, she felt him whisper the request against her skin. One of his hands had traveled down to her ass, giving it a soft squeeze as a choked breath left her parted lips. Her previous worries that he wouldn’t be attracted to her casual state flew out the balcony window with all the reassurance in his touch.
She nodded and opened her eyes once she heard him tsk. His nose was pressed against her, minty breath washing over her face.
"Gotta hear it, Sweets."
"Yes please."
He smiled, proud of the verbal confirmation.
"Let me go start the water."
She hated how cold and empty the air got as he left her to head to the bathroom. But she couldn’t resist the urge to watch him walk away as he started to strip out of his clothes in the process.
"Open that box on the table. I think you’ll like it." He insisted.
Slightly dizzy from the kiss, she shook her head and blinked a couple times.
Damn girl, chill.
The box had a soft bow nestled beautifully in its corner. The name Rausch in black cursive text sat in the center.
Various arrays of chocolates greeted her, and she bit her lips happily as she assessed the multiple options. Each was so delicately crafted with intricate designs that she decided Chris and she would just have to split each one to have a chance to try them all. Walking into the bathroom, a sight just as sweet as the chocolate she’d just bit into was awaiting her.
Chris, as naked as the day he was born, was slowly stepping into the deep tub located in the center of the bathroom.
"I don’t mind you looking baby girl, but the waters gonna get cold."
"Right!" She sat the box on the edge of the tub as she quickly started undoing her sweatpants.
No longer was she hesitant to expose herself to Chris; the older man had explored her body inside and out more times than she’d be able to count. But he always looked at her the same way. As if he’d never seen her naked before. Like a child with a present on Christmas, he looked as if he was thinking of all the ways he was going to play with his new toy.
It made her feel incredibly sexy.
Taking another bit of the chocolate she presented him, he playfully nipped her finger as she pulled away. The water was at the perfect temperature; Chris naturally ran hot, and as he rested himself against her between her legs, she couldn't think of how this moment could be any more perfect.
"You have one."
"What makes you say that?" Her voice rose in intrigue. Chris surprised her time and time again with his observational skills.
There was never room for empty conversation, unless she intended it. Over the years, she found fascination in interesting factoids that she somehow was always able to conjure up for anyone willing to hear them. Sometimes, Chris just asked because he liked to get a peek into that fascinating mind of hers.
"Because you always do." His hand pinched her waist, and she swatted his bicep. Taking her wet hand, she pushed back his short blonde salt and pepper hair in thought.
"Well, this hotel is old as shit, so it's got a lot of history. Notoriously, Michael Jackson held his infant son, Prince Michael, over the balcony while paparazzi gathered below. " She glanced at the window that was nestled on the far left wall, smiling because she knew she'd got him with that one.
She feels him go stiff. He turned around slightly to look up at her from his place on her chest and saw her smirk. "No fucking way."
"Yes, way."
"Fuck. That’s a good one."
As she reached for another chocolate, she felt his hand trace over the curve of her breast. Not so much with sexual interest, but more with admiration.
"Why’d you accept my invitation?"
She knew he was being serious by the way his voice dropped an octave. He said her name, her real name, and she dropped the chocolate gently back in the box.
"You sounded like you needed someone."
It was a stretch of the truth. Chris knew that, and he let out a sigh.
"I think we both know I just needed you." He leaned up to turn and face her. She felt slightly exposed in that moment, but of course Chris noticed. He always does. So to ease the tension, he grabbed a piece of chocolate and took the first bite. He leans forward, and she sighs into the sweet kiss before he slips the other half in her mouth. Now it was her turn to nip his finger.
"Yeah, but then that begs the question: why couldn't you just wait 'till you were back in town next week?" She keeps his hand close, holding one in between both of hers. "Knew I wasn’t going to New York until the end of the month; could’ve just waited."
He acknowledged her point with a subtle head tilt.
"I simply enjoy being with you. I enjoy laughing with you, touching you. You make everything I do seem worthwhile. I need you to understand how badly, Sweets, I want to have you in any possible way, either as this version of ourselves or something more; just having you in my life is the best thing I could have ever been gifted."
He let the statement sit for a bit, watching her under the bathroom's pale lighting. He ran his hand over her knee while she sat with what he shared. It wasn’t anything he hadn’t told her before; it was just hard for her to accept at times. These feelings she had for him were intimidating and still pretty new.
Finally looking over at him, he had a soft, patient smile, and she brought her hand to his cheek.
"You got me feeling crazy and that scares me."
He gripped her hand on his face and pulled her close to him. The water surrounding them splashed slightly as he moved her onto his lap, never straying from her focus.
"God, I fucking love you, and I promise you I’ll do everything in my power to make you the happiest woman alive. You're stuck with me until you no longer want me."
Goddamn it, she was in it now.
"Then I guess I’m stuck with ya."
Chris pulled her into a searing kiss. One filled with hope, opportunity, and love.
But, of course, it was short-lived. Chris had made her show him how to set up different ringtones on his newly bought iPhone. Recently, she came to find out he'd paid $1.29 to buy her score's theme song on iTunes and set it to play every time he got a call.
"I think that's your phone."
"Fuck that thing." He was lost in her, moving his lips down to her neck and slowly beginning to suck on the sweet spot below her jaw. Sucking in a quick breath as his teeth skimmed her wet nipple.
"Chris." They were already pushing it with having her here; she didn’t want to get him into any trouble even if she was the invited intrusion to his press tour.
"Stay here." He kissed her tits, making his way out of the tub. She giggled at hearing him angrily grumble under his breath, forcefully grabbing a towel and wrapping it around his waist.
Perching her jaw on the edge of the tub, she watched as Chris pulled his phone out of his discarded suit pocket.
"Hey man, what’s up?"
It was a couple moments of silence, with Chris listening to the person on the other end of the line.
"Um…" He bit at the pad of his thumb, sparing a glance in her direction. She looked at him with a pointed brow, curious about what he seemed to be contemplating.
"Yeah, we can meet you in the lobby at eight."
We? As in him and her?
As he ended the call, she waited for him to come back to the bathroom. He sat on the edge of the tub and let out a sigh as he took in the sight of her wet, bare body.
"Welp, my plans to fuck you in this very spacious tub are going to have to be postponed. We’ve got other plans tonight."
 "Plans?"
"Hugh Grant has requested that we both join him and his wife for dinner."
Tumblr media
The restaurant was very busy. She wasn’t as taken aback by the mass of people since Chris forewarned her on the drive over about how in high demand the place was.
"There will probably be a couple paparazzi and fans outside after dinner when news gets out that we are all here. So just make sure you just stay close to me, baby." Chris had switched into a tan linen jacket and matching pants. He kept the white undershirt, and his golden pendant necklace was in its usual place in the middle of his chest.
The Le Labo cologne she watched him spray on his wrists still lingered on his skin.
Along with the expensive wine, her fluffy blue sweater was keeping her warm. Chris would slyly slide his hand underneath its seams, gently holding her wrist while his thumb rubbed slow circles over her pulse.
She was nervous as fuck.
No matter how many famous people she finds herself around, her palms got slightly sweaty in their company. Her Mom was going to have a cow when she saw the texts she’d sent her. And the voice message she’d nervously word vomited into during her trip to the bathroom.
Chris said Hugh was a tad pretentious, his dry humor not helping in the slightest with some feeling slightly offended by the seasoned actor at first.
She thinks she got on his good side when he asked if she’d ever seen any of his movies.
"Oh, for sure. Florence Foster Jenkins— I watched that on a flight with my Mom. She teared up, and she didn’t even do that while giving birth to my younger brother." She wanted to crawl into a hole after her failed attempt at being cheeky, wincing slightly in embarrassment. But he and his wife both laughed, and that was before the waiter had even taken their orders.
"It’s so fun doing these little press junkets because you completely forget about the movie you’ve worked on since it was damn near a year ago. But you get to reconnect with all these people you spent months working your bum off with. Even recall some of the wacky events that occurred." Hugh wiggled his eyebrows as he looked at everyone around the table. She noted Hugh’s quirky vocabulary got more eccentric after each sip of his glass of merlot.
"Now, darling." They'd just gotten their meals, and so far she’d been successful in not being the topic of conversation. She was content to be a fly on the wall, watching as Chris interacted with his coworker. Instinctually, she sat up straighter as everyone fixated on her.
"First, congratulations are most certainly in order. Chris here has expressed much interest in your work; dare I say he has gone as far as to show a few of us videos of you composing?"
Hugh’s admission was shocking; she was ready to go into great depth on her career and why the hell she might even be there.
She’d only met a few of Chris close friends and vice versa, wanting to keep a level of privacy in their relationship that very few people got access to. It was better that way for the both of them. Some reasons being more obvious than others.
However, ever since the first set of pictures with them came out, more and more were published in the press. With the amount of time they spent together it was inevitable. She’d noticed how Chris was now more inclined to share her with people outside their circle. He was less withholding of PDA, not that he was really trying before.
He wants people to know she’s his.
That thought sparked something deep in her chest, accompanied by a warm feeling in between her legs. In some sick way, she liked him establishing this claim on her. Because, at the end of the day, it was her allowing him to do so. If she displayed any sort of disdain for the situation and expressed it, she knew he’d stop in a heartbeat.
"I’ve just got to know how this talented young lady came to be."
She cleared her throat and glanced over at Chris, whose undivided attention was completely on her. The dim lighting added to the facade of intimacy, and the busting room filled with chatter from other patrons conversations. But hell, they might as well have been the only two people in the room.
"I, uh, grew up in New York. My mom's an adjunct professor at NYU but volunteers when she can. My Dad’s owned this bakery like a block from where I grew up since before I was born. They really wanted to push my brothers and me to follow our passions just as long as we could make a suitable living doing so." She giggled to herself at that. "Never, uh, was really that good in school, but music stuck pretty naturally. I learned how to play like fourteen instruments by the time I was twelve."
"Oh my, so you were a prodigy?" Anna, Hugh’s wife, expressed. The couple looking at her impressed.
"I guess so? Never got tested or nothing. Just recorded some music and samples on my parents iMac and uploaded them online. It’s pretty much how I got discovered."
She feels a hand squeeze her upper thigh, looking over at Chris, who was gazing at her in admiration. She sheepishly smiled back before looking down at her plate.
"Well, I for one think that should qualify as a prodigy, especially for being nominated for such a prestigious award so early in your career." Anna smiled at the younger woman, and she replied with a soft but appreciative thank you.
The topic flows easily throughout the remainder of the evening, and just as Hugh and Chris finished arguing about who’d fit the bill (Hugh did), they began talking about plans for tomorrow.
"Oh, you're going to love the movie, dear; it’s a heap of fun." Hugh exclaimed, looking between her and his wife.
"Yeah, it looks great. Can’t wait to see it." She'd already ordered a couple tickets in advance to see it opening weekend back in LA. Few of her friends excited to see her hot, daddy boyfriend in action.
Their words, not hers.
"Now I don’t know where you plan on sitting, but you're more than welcome to join Anna and me."
"Huh?" She was confused, looking over to Chris, whose jaw had clenched as he slowly finished his wine.
"Well, at the preimere, it'll be so bus-"
"I hadn’t really had a chance to bring it up, Hugh." He placed his glass down while glaring at the man across from him.
"Oh." Hugh looked nervously at the young woman and back to his wife before letting out a guilty chuckle and saying, "Silly me."
Anna quickly began to change the subject allowing her to try and connect the dots. Departing goodbyes and future plans were made as they all made their way out of the restaurant. Following Anna towards the exit, with Chris close behind her, she whispered behind her shoulder.
"Chris?" She knew he’d understand what she was asking, but she didn't really love being out of the loop.
"Let’s get you outside to the car first, Sweets, then we'll talk."
As soon as the doors opened, multiple camera flashes started blinding her.
She'll say one thing about being in the music industry: she wasn't a stranger to crowds or people. Yet it still made her slightly uncomfortable when strangers invaded her personal space. She pulled her Prada sunglasses out her purse and slid them over her eyes. Instinctively grabbing Chris’s hand as he guided her to their car. The chauffeur was already standing outside holding the door, and she gave him a quick thanks in appreciation while quickly getting in the back seat.
Once it was quiet, with only the sound of soft German music imitating from the radio, she allowed herself to slip off her sunglasses.
Chris was already looking at her; he’d slid his hand across the middle seat to rest it on her upper thigh.
"Good?" His eyes held a bit of worry.
She nodded. "Good." Then her eyes became daggers. "Now, what the fuck is going on tomorrow?"
"I wanted to ask you tonight after dinner. No photo ops, no red carpet. You’ll ride with Sarah and me to the theater. I'll do my rounds and then join you both for the screening."
Her head was spinning. A million thoughts raced to the front of her mind. The first one that left her mouth was the least important.
"I-I don’t even have anything to wear."
"Baby girl, you're telling me you don’t have one outfit?" He cocked a brow towards her, and she groaned. Of course she did; she’s an overpacker, and with Chris’s classic spontaneity, she always made sure she was prepared for anything. Still, she wasn’t able to just pull out a custom gown from her ass.
"No photos or press?
He barked out a laugh, bringing her hand to his lips to give it a warm kiss. He knew he had won her over.
"Just want you by my side, scouts honor."
She wanted to scoot over the middle console to be closer to him, but the little wine left in her system wasn’t enough to cloud her judgment to do so, and she didn’t want the driver to be uncomfortable.
"You owe me big time. Like huge, just FYI."
He brought up two fingers and gestured for her to lean in closer to him. Chris softly cupped her jaw and angled her head so he could whisper in her ear.
"I hope you got enough rest on that plane. We’ve got a long night ahead of us."

When Chris fucked her, she could only successfully compare it to a premeditated game of chess. Always seeming to know how he, the knight, would take down his opponent.
He held back from touching her the entire ride back to the hotel. Minimal words were shared between the couple as they let the tension speak for itself. Her skin was cold; goosebumps were visible, and in the elevator, she stuffed her hand in her pockets to prevent reaching out towards him.
He needed to make the first move.
It wasn’t until she took a seat on the plush sofa that he knelt down in front of her. Eyes gazing up as if she’d built the entire world around them all her own.
"Will you let me undress you?"
"Please."
His touch was like a live wire while his hands ever so gently gripped her left ankle, undoing her heels clasp. It took everything in her to hold back a whimper.
Once he’d discarded her other shoe, he pushed up her pants leg till it bunched at her knee. Slowly following an invisible trail up her now exposed leg with his rose-colored lips. They were tinted a dark shade from the wine, and an embarrassingly loud whine left her lips as his tongue slowly dragged up her calf.
It quickly turned into a yelp as the man’s teeth nipped at her shin. "Keep those eyes on me." Chris always required her attention, knowing how often her mind wonders.
"Yo-you got it."
A smile appeared. Rewarding her with a lick over the nicked skin and sweetening it with another kiss
They both watched his hands let the pants leg fall, dragging them over the fabric that covered her thighs as he reached for the button of her pants.
"I know you said I owe you, and trust me, this isn’t me cashing that in. I’ve just been craving your fucking pussy since California."
It wasn’t anything she didn’t already know. Chris was a pleaser; he got easily riled up just by knowing he was the only person who could ever make her feel this good. He'd told her himself.
Nodding her head with fervor, she aided in helping him take off her pants, wiggling her hips off the couch as the garment fell to her ankles along with her pink panties. An obvious patch of arousal was on the crotch. "You always takin’ good care of me."
He hummed in agreement, but his focus had gone to her cunt. Slowly, he raised her legs to rest on his shoulders; her pants wrapped around her ankles, trapping him in between her thighs. Delving into her, the man raised an expectant hand to her lips. She knew exactly what he wanted her to do, and as soon as his broad tongue dragged against her slit, she shoved his middle and ring fingers into her mouth.
A groan escaped him right as his mouth dragged along her clit, the stimulation causing her to slightly drool on his fingers.
"No wine in the world can compare to how goddamn good you taste." Chris other hand squeezed her hip where it rested, locking eyes with his lust-blown pupils. She could confidently claim that no one had ever looked at her like this until him. That no one has ever made her feel like this. It seemed so foreign yet so familiar, like meeting a totally stranger and instantly hitting it off.
Eating out someone like this should be considered a war crime. It seemed irrational that Chris could delve into her like a starving man when they just had dinner. How he lapped at her bundle of nerves like it was a bountiful oasis after traveling miles through treacherous terrain.
His tongue caught on the edge of her entrance, and a sharp "Fuck!" left her lips. His fingers slipped from her mouth, soaked with her saliva. The hand resting on her hip punished her with a quick slap. Her head fell back further into the couch, taking all of her energy not to close her eyes.
"Language."
Being from the city meant she had a mouth on her. It was ingrained in her DNA, and it was something Chris always loved about her. But in the bedroom, good girls never curse.
"Sorry." He accepted her apology by rewarding her with a kiss on her thigh.
One hand gripped the top of his head while the other gripped the decorative pillows next to her. She was so focused on how he was making her feel that he used it to his advantage, slipping two fingers slicked with her spit inside her.
"Oh my god!" He went slow, pushing his fingers all the way to the last knuckle until he even attempted to curl his fingers inside her.
"Do you miss having my fingers inside you, baby girl? Know how hard it is for you to reach this deep." Chris tapped at her g-spot, and a high-pitched yelp left her mouth.
Her eyelids kept fluttering as they both watched his fingers move in and out of her. His thumb was coming up to her clit and she knew If she bit her lip any harder, she’d draw blood.
Chris slowly rose to his knees to rest his upper body against hers, his half-lidded eyes looking down at her. She didn’t even recall him fully taking her pants off until he gently nudged her left leg to rest her foot on the couch, bending it. The new position let him finger her even deeper, and fuck, if she wasn’t wet now, she was gushing.
"I think you can take three fingers, Sweets. Wanna try for three?"
She might be too far gone to confirm if the wet spot on the crotch of his pants was real or not, but she didn’t question the feeling of him bucking his hips against her right leg and the sofa. Just as he was adding his third finger to the mix, it was enough to send her over the edge.
Immediately, a flash of white filled her vision as her eyes rolled in the back of her head. A long moan leaving her lips while Chris worked her through her orgasm.
"There you go."
He kept fingering her until she opened her eyes and looked back at him. She had a wide smile across her face, and Chris mirrored it, placing a long kiss on her forehead.
"I haven’t come that hard in so long." Giggles escaped her, and she knew the high from cumming was still flowing through her. "Well, at least since you left me all alone."
Chris hands started pulling at her sweater to take it off of her. She hadn’t worn a bra under it; the sweater was so oversized and fluffy that it wasn’t even noticeable.
"Oh? Well, maybe I’ll have to show you how to do it right then, huh?" He was kissing all over her cheeks, slowly making his way down her neck. "Make sure you don’t suffer for too long while I’m away." Mumbling into her skin.
"Don’t think I could ever make myself feel this good."
He nipped her collarbone and faced her, their noses almost touching.
"Damn straight." Capturing her lips in a kiss, she began pulling at the back of his jacket to undress him. Chris quickly caught on and stood before her to start stripping. Pulling her legs on the couch, she bit the tip of her thumb to help suppress her smile at the show.
His solid upper body, rippled with pure muscle crafted by numerous hours spent in the gym, had her hypnotized. As Chris stood up to undo his trousers, he couldn’t contain a smug grin. Looking down at her debauched figure, slightly vibrating in anticipation, did a number on the older man.
Just waiting within arm's reach was his exposed cock. It was bigger than anyone she’d ever taken, and her first time she had to cum twice from him stretching her out until he finally fucked her. It was long, and its width something that never failed to take her aback. Whenever she rubbed him off, she couldn't even fit her full fist around him.
"Let me take you to the bedroom you deserve a good fuck."
Tipping her chin to flick her gaze at him, he scoupped her naked body up into his arms. A squeal rang throughout the suite, legs wrapping around his slender waist. Arms around his neck as he cupped her ass. She took advantage of him guiding them safely to the bed, fingers dragging through his hair as a content sigh released out of her nose.
Placing her in the center of the bed, the Egyptian cotton petted her skin. Chris body pressed against hers, and she embraced how he basically engulfed her. Body weight making her sink deeper into the white comforter.
"I’ll give you the world and then some, baby. Just tell me what you want me to do."
Giant hands cradled her head, and carnivorous eyes bore into her soul.
"Need you to make love to me."
From the tips of her fingers to the bottoms of her feet, the feeling of being so fucking saturated in one another was indescribable.
An infinite kiss, in which lips contently rested on top of one another, sealed the deal.
Toned thighs moved to spread hers apart, positioning her instinctively. A distracting slip of his tongue into her mouth, simultaneous with his cock shoving into her cunt. Her mind went blank, a haze washing over her as her mouth fell open in a silent scream.
"Shit." The swear came from deep within him. Chris forehead pressed against hers as their noses bumped into one another. His breath was warm, and the air around her was hot as it grew thick with the smell of sex.
Gripping her cheek tightly, squeezing until her lips puckered open. He let out a deep groan, obviously enjoying the view. Well, that and the way he tried to be subtly with a shallow thrust to her g spot.
"Do you believe me now?" He was referring back to their conversation earlier in the tub.
"How I feel about you?"
"What your very fucking-" She had to close her eyes as her body was completely engulfed in all of him. The faint feeling of his hand traveling down to the back of her neck, tightly cupping it. Tightening his hold on the back of her neck, forcing her head to hit the goose feathered pillow. "existence does to me?"
Her eyes snapped open when his pelvis casually dragged against her clit after a deep thrust.
"Yes! Fu-god, I get it!"
When they locked eyes, she felt a twitch in Chris’s left leg. The one resting against her right thigh.
"Good."
It was swift. His hand gripped her waist as he flipped her on her stomach. A wide hand slapped against her chest to flush her back against his firm chest.
Thighs resting on thighs, with both of them on their knees, she was positioned comfortably on his lap. Another hand was resting on her hipbone holding it up to prevent her from sinking down on him. Spit-soaked lips pressed right on the shell of her ear.
"Now I can fuck you how you deserve."
They groaned in unison once Chris finally let them reconnect. Hand once on her waist, traveling down to rub her clit as she grinds her ass against his pelvis to try and accommodate him inside her again.
It was a slow tempo, pushing deep into her from behind so she could really feel him. All of him. He’d moved the hand on her chest to rest on her neck. Fingers dancing around the bare planes of her collarbone
"I think I need to get you a pretty little necklace." Thrust. "Make sure everyone knows who fucking cunt this is. " Thrust. "Get something for you to play with when I can’t get my cock in your mouth." Two fingers turned into three to slap at her clit.
"I’m-" She hiccuped while trying to blabber out the rest of her sentence. A dark chuckle warm on her ear. "I’m def-initely gonna cum."
"Baby’s got manners tonight, huh?" A quick slap to the side of her ass almost had her whine out but he returned his hand to her clit to continue. "Now are you asking me or telling me?"
Nibbling her ear, she could feel the stutters of his thrust beginning. He was close. Touch more desperate and harsh against her skin than the last buck of his hips.
"Asking!"
He forced them to remain still, with no movement except his fingers abusing her clit and his dick pulsing inside her. Even the city around them grew silent, waiting.
"Go ahead and cum for me then."
Each orgasm Chris gave her was never the same, but they all made her feel nothing less than euphoric. It reminded her of a hot summer day, finishing off a blunt while relaxing in the sun. All the stress and anxiety that filled her washing away, similar to the silk dripping down his dick.
"There you go. Fuck there, you fucking go, baby girl." And whenever he came inside her, god she felt limitless. No experience in the world could be shared between two souls could equal this primal connection.
Her head had fallen against his shoulder, enjoying the electrical currents of ecstasy traveling through her as his hips continued to push his cum into her.
Kisses traveled up and down her sweaty skin as Chris shoved his face into her neck. He was humming out a breath subconsciously to a random tune while soaking in the moment.
What came next was always the worst part. The inevitable of him having to pull out of her. Both of them groan while he lifts her off his softening dick to tuck her in the bed.
"Thank you." It was the first thing said as they basked in the aftermath of their lovemaking. He had her tucked under his arm, arms and legs intertwined. He kissed her temple whispering the words like a secret.
"Feel like I should be the one sayin’ that." Lips grazed her skin as he nodded his head no at her claim.
The moon was seeping through the curtains, painting their naked skin a blue hue. She doesn’t know if she’s seen or felt something so beautiful. So filled with warmth and passion.
"I fuckin’ love you." It was the first time she had said it first. Always relying on confirmation from him whenever they exchange vows.
Chris smile was brighter than the top of the Berliner Fernsehturm. Eyes sparkling. He immersed her in his hold, shoving her face into his chest, almost shielding her from anything that could penetrate their bubble.
"And I love you."

coming home
d.c. kinda fumbled the second wonder woman movie but i got more chris pine and pedro pascal so who am i to complain
steve trevor x afab!reader
Tumblr media
You tapped your foot impatiently, excitement bubbling in your heart. Today was the day you have been waiting for since the war had began. Steve was being shipped home today.
You grasped your hands together nervously as you saw an automobile approach your house. Practically sprinting off the porch you came to greet them. A few officers stepped out and for a brief moment your heart sank.
"Had he not come home..he said he was okay a week ago. I still have the letter. Please let him be alive".
To your relief you saw his large figure step out of the vehicle. His arm was being held in a sling while his face was covered in bruises and cuts.
"Steve...you came back" was all you could muster before you walked over to him and gave him the biggest and tightest hug you've ever given.
"I'm so glad you came back safe to me"Happiness overwhelmed your soul as you felt him in your arms. This was the moment you had waited so long for.
"Hi Y/n...I don't think you understand how much I missed your hugs. You made all this worth it you know." He murmured, placing a kiss atop your head. He was clearly tired and you were eager to have him lie down and just rest.
He spoke a bit with his officers before following you inside. His large hand wrapped around your significantly smaller one. You helped him with every little thing from walking up the steps to taking his shoes off.
"Y/n it's ok doll...I can do things on my own" He chuckled, attempting to unbutton his shirt only to have his hand swatted away.
"I know my love but you've been through so much and this is the least you deserve. I want to hear all about the time you spent but for now I just want to be in your presence." You replied , fumbling with the last button. Men's clothes were always so hard for you to work with.
Steve just smiled and undid it like it was nothing. "You've been stressed darling..come here". He opens his good arm, indicating he wants to cuddle. With no hesitation you lay on his chest , gently kissing his neck. It felt like home.
"I love you Steve..thank you for protecting us…and coming back for me" you said, tears filling your eyes.
"I love you so much y/n" He started before tears began to fall as well. "I was so scared...I'm just so glad I get to come home to you". His breath became labored.
You just hugged him close until he calmed down. "Let's get some rest...I just want to sleep beside you again”.
"I would love nothing more”.

— — — — —
It was a sunny day in Venice, the sky was a light blue, the sunshine was really doing its thing, it was a perfect day to be a plus one at Venice film festival.
When y/n heard about Harry’s upcoming physiological thriller ‘don’t worry darling’ she was ecstatic.
Every moment in his crazy career she was there for she hadn’t missed a a single thing.
“Y’not joining me for the carpet?” He asks realising her hand was no longer locked in his.
“This is your moment H, m’happy to watch” she smiled.
He glanced over to the carpet to which Chris pine, gemma chan and nick kroll were already occupying.
“I wouldn’t have done with film without you lovie, c’mon” he said pressing a kiss to her forehead and taking her hand once more.
“Fine” she sighed.
When Harry revealed them from the black curtain that shielded them from the world, the mixed audience of fans, film enthusiasts, paparazzi and journalists, erupted into cheers and heckles.
“Harry, Harry over here!”
“Harry we have questions for you!”
And to y/n’s surprise even some directed to her.
“Y/n you look beautiful”
“Y/n are you proud of this movie”
In a loving and protective manner Harry slid his arm around the girls waist and guided her next to Chris for photos to be taken.
As the main cast/crew member pictures had been taken, Gemma went off to have an interview? Nick found himself speaking to Harry which left y/n and Chris still next to each other.
“You Look good y/n” Chris says turning to the girl now having his full attention.
“Oh Chris, thank you! You don’t scrub up to bad either!” She playful gested
“Y/n, Chris come over we have some questions!!” a male reporter chanted.
Chris placed his palm on the lower of y/n’s back and walked towards the reporter.
Harry took a glance back at where he thought y/n was, a panic filled his mind when he couldn’t see her or Chris.
“Don’t panic mate she’s right there with Chris” nick noted making him turn the opposite direction.
“How did you-?” He asked.
“I know you too well, she’s all you think about” nick laughed.
Harry turned to his girl who spoke to the microphone the man was holding towards her.
Watching her do the most simple stuff made Harry realise how lucky he truly was.
The only thing he was sure of is the eyes of the one and only Chris pine staring her down.
Now, Harry wasn’t normally a jealous type but when a man like Chris appears, he can’t help but feel like he has no chance.
“Yeah, no y/n has been great! She delivered us all hot coffee and if we were lucky then donuts” Chris laughs thinking about the fond memories there shared through the filming.
Chrises hand slowly rubbed up and down her exposed arm as she spoke.
That did not go unnoticed by Harry.
“But filming was super fun to watch and seeing the movie made it all really worth it! I mean everyone involved did great”
“And it’s amazing seeing the actors behind the-“
Harry had snaked his muscular arms around her waist forcing Chris’s to remove his, and pressing a sweet kiss to her cheek.
“Oh hi Harry” she giggled
“Carry on Angel” he reassured.
“As I was saying yeah- um it was really interesting seeing behind the scenes”
Harry continued pressing mini kisses to her cheek and using his thumb to slowly trace her waist.
“The world is going to go crazy over this” the camera man laughed.
Y/n blushed and placed her hands on top of Harry’s.
Once the interview was over Harry pulled the girl close to his chest.
“Y’do know the world can see us” she said giving into his touch nonetheless.
“Oh well, at least the world know y’mine” he emphasised.
“Hey guys” a familiar deep voice chimed.
“Hey man” Harry replied reluctantly letting go of his girl.
“You 2 joining us for some fine dining?” He said straightening his blazer and hair.
“You up for it baby?” Harry asked looking back to his girl
“Oh yeah of course” she smiled.
“Great well I guess I’ll see you then!” He said patting her arm and heading off into the posh car to be taken to the location.
“God he has a thing for you” Harry said annoyingly with a roll to his eyes.
“Harry” she laughed
“Chris pine has a thing for me?” She continued.
“Mmm not sure about that love” she giggled.
Y/n wrapped her arm around his waist.
“I love you” she mumbled into his side.
“Love you too”
— — — — —
The cast of ‘DWD’ sat around a table that was located in one of Venice’s fanciest restaurant and poshest experiences.
Y/n couldn’t deny Harry had looked devilishly handsome the whole day and despite being next to the idols like Chris and Nick she only had eyes for him and will only have eyes for him.
Y/n was sandwiches between Harry and Chris with jemma, Nick opposite with Florence and Sydney head of the table.
“I love the material of your dress y/n” Chris nonchalantly mumbled while running his fingers on the red satin dress.
“Yeah it’s nice right, don’t you look beautiful baby” Harry was quick to say pressing a kiss on her temple.
“Where is it from?” Chris asked.
“Oh this is-“ y/n started.
“This is Gucci isn’t it darling? My very own collection tailored and measured especially for her” Harry spoke.
“Yeah, yeah that he did” y/n bash fully laughed.
“Wow! That’s crazy, I’m invited actually to be one of Guccis models for next month’s catalog” Chris bragged maintaining eye contact with Harry.
“Maybe you two should do a fashion collab” y/n mentioned taking a sip of her wine.
“100%” Chris mumbled into his napkin that he delicately patted around his lips.
The rest of the night went down a blast the girls shared laughter and gossip as the evening went on, Harry and the rest of the boys managed to have a conversation and the dining experience itself was great.
Harry just couldn’t take his eyes off of what Chris was to do next.
While y/n was speaking to Gemma who was adjacent to her Harry noticed Chrises heart eyes.
“Oh it’s lovely, me and Harry went a few years back missed it ever since” she began
“Where’s this y/n?” Chris interrupted.
Harry noticed the sudden interruption due to him, he placed his palm on her knee and gave it a light squeeze in a way to show he’s sorry for the interruption.
“Oh just telling Gemma about almafi coast, me and H went a few years ago” she smiled turning back to hemme and continuing her story.
As y/n carried on her conversation, it was the little things that Harry noticed. The way Chris would look from her dress all the way to her eyes, the way he would bite his lip when he had his attention. It was driving him mad.
“And so i Definitely thin-“ y/n started
“Y/n, I have to say your looking beautiful tonight” Chris blurted.
“You interrupted her to say that?” Harry said placing his arm on the back of y/n’s chair and leaning forward to meet eyes with Chris.
“Harry-“ she warned.
“Is a compliment a bad thing?” He answered back.
The tone in the both the boys caused the table to turn to the three of them.
“When I’m right here yeah” Harry scoffed.
“Harry-baby-“
“All I’m doing is complimenting her, something I haven’t seen you do all night” he laughed, causing the rest of the table to watch in shock, those who knew Harry knew when it comes to his lovie there’s no messing.
“Chris” Nick gasped.
“M’not hearing this all night, I’ll be outside y/n” and with that Harry rose from his seat and made his way to the exit of the restaurant.
A cold chill blew over y/n’s spine, this escalated from 0-100 very quickly.
“All over a compliment?!” He laughed taking a swig of his whiskey.
“I should go see him-“ Nick offered.
“It’s fine” y/n sighed.
“I’ll go” she begins as she stands and grabs her bag and slings it over her shoulder.
“Thanks for tonight guys” she said trying to be as friendly as she could.
“I’m sure he’s fine he’s just a bit stresse-“
“You don’t Need to explain yourself to us y/n, go find your man and keep us updated” Sydney said with Jemma and Flo nodding in agreement.
Y/n pushed the cold glass door open with her palm and slowly walked around the place in search of her boyfriend.
“Hey you” she said gently to the familiar figure that stood just by an alleyway.
“Fuck, love I’m so fucking sorry” he started.
“Hey hey hey” she said voice softening.
With a glance she could note the glossy eyes, without another word she wrapped her arms around his blazer clad waist, brung him in tightly.
“How about we get to the hotel and you can tell me what’s going on hey?” She offered using her fingers to play with the curls at the back of his head.
“Mmhmm” he hummed.
— — — — —
The ride back to the hotel was silent but not at all uncomfortable or awkward y/n knew he was hurt by something and she was determined to find out before the night ended.
They checked back into there hotel rooms and much to Harry lamberts disgust there fancy clothes ended up remaining in the floor for the night.
Y/n changed into one of Harry’s hoodies and her joggers.
Y/n joined harry on the bed and immediately made her self comfy, and cuddled straight into him.
“What’s going on H” she lowly whispered.
“Feel like I don’t appreciate you enough” he started.
“Hmm?” She hummed confused
“All night he had something to say, ‘oh your dress’, ‘oh your makeup’ and I just, I don’t know, feel shitty” he said honestly.
“And every look he gave you, every compliment, every touch he gave you it just scares me” he said pushing his head into the nook of her shoulder.
“Scares you?” She asked.
“I can’t lose you y/n, and Chris being this admittedly handsome guy, and giving you so much more attention then I did, it’s understandable”
“Harry”
“Baby, never, ever worry about that, no Chris or any other person could ever take me away from you ever”
She traced the back of his neck with her gentle fingertips.
“Only have eyes for you my love, only for you, and I don’t need your affection to feel loved by you, knowing your next to me or even in my life makes me feel like the luckiest girl ever” she stated whole heartedly.

"What movie should we watch this time?"
You plop down on your couch next to Steve, placing the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table in front of it.
You swiftly pick up the remote, turning on your TV and immediately sifting through the options.
Steve watches as your brows furrow in concentration, draping his arm over the back of the couch. You lean into him unconsciously, pulling your feet up on the seat as your side relaxes into his.
"We've been working our way through Star Wars," he hums, his hand finding your shoulder to stroke it gently, "There are more than the three we watched, right?"
You snort, nodding at his words, "Yeah, obviously. I can't believe you've never watched those."
Steve chuckles quietly, his shoulders lifting in a shrug, "I was saving them, I guess."
You glance over at him, quirking a brow, "Waiting for the right girl, huh?"
Steve chuckles again, nodding, "Yeah, exactly. The right girl."
Your cheeks heat up a little at his words, your eyes holding his intensely. The hand on your shoulder slowly moves upwards, his fingers sliding into your hair.
"C'mere," he whispers softly as he pulls you closer, "You haven't kissed me yet, today."
You giggle quietly before leaning in, gently brushing your lips over his. He lets out a content sigh, the fingers in your hair tightening their hold when his lips chase yours.
His soft lips move over your own languidly, the hand at the back of your head controlling your motions when he tilts his head, deepening the kiss.
You drop the remote before your fingers grip his t-shirt, leaning your body into his to kiss him more determinedly.
You swipe your tongue over his bottom lip, and he lets out a low groan before his plump lips part, his tongue tangling with your own.
His free hand slides up your thigh, and it makes you squirm a little, moaning softly into his mouth.
His fingers grip your flesh firmly, massaging your skin, your mind turning foggy.
But then you pull back right as his hand starts trailing higher.
"Stevie," you breathe out, your eyes fluttering open to look at him, "I need.."
You hesitate, and he tilts his head in a question, watching you intently. You want to lose yourself in the blue of his eyes, his pupils dilated as his gaze stays locked on your face.
"Can we.. Would it be okay if we.. Took it slow?" You whisper, reaching up to cup his cheek, "It's just, I.. I'm not.. That experienced, and I want it to mean something."
Steve's eyes search your face for a moment before he smiles, nodding gently, "Of course, sweetheart. We can wait as long as you need. I'm in no rush."
"Are you sure?" You whisper nervously. You wouldn't have imagined someone who looks like Steve to be used to taking it slow.
Steve nods again, tilting his head to kiss your palm, "I'm sure, baby. We'll take it slow. Don't worry."
You lean in to kiss him again, and Steve lets out a sound of surprise before you quickly pull back to curl up against him on the couch. You pick up the remote while his hand finds your hair again, stroking it gently as you press play.

You hang your coat on the rack at the entrance of Janine's apartment when you enter, toeing your shoes off before you walk inside.
"It's pouring outside," you complain, immediately heading to the open spaced kitchen for a glass of water. You spot her sitting on the couch next to Melanie, both of them with their backs to you as they watch something on TV. "I'm practically soaked."
Janine only hums in response, and so does Melanie, which makes you frown a little as you take a sip of your water. You glance at the screen, noticing it's the news, before putting down your glass and taking a few steps closer to them, "You guys. Did you hear me?"
Melanie shushes you, keeping her eyes locked on the screen, "Shh, we're trying to watch this, something is happening."
Your frown deepens as you walk over to the couch, taking a seat next to Melanie. You lower your voice, watching the screen, "What's going on?"
You can hardly tell what's happening, it's some form of fight, the news feed is chaotic and unable to focus properly.
Then your eyes suddenly widen in surprise, "Holy shit, are those robots?"
"Yeah," Janine mumbles, "Killer fucking robots."
"Jesus," you breathe out, leaning forward a little to get a better look, "Where is that?"
"Sokovia," Melanie responds quietly, "it's a country in Europe."
"Oh.." you watch in fascination, your interest piquing when you see a robot in red and gold. "Why does that robot look different from the others? And why is it fighting them?"
Melanie snorts, "That's not a robot, that's Iron Man."
You turn to look at her, "Is he that tech guy turned superhero?"
"Yeah," Janine nods, keeping her eyes on the screen, "Tony Stark."
You hum and nod, glancing back at the TV.
"Why are the Avengers there? I thought they only fought crime in the US."
"They fight crime wherever there is crime," Melanie states, "They're not like the military, they're more like independent contractors."
You nod again, leaning back on the couch before you cross one leg over the other. Then you gesture at the screen when you spot someone shooting arrows, snorting in amusement, "He's shooting arrows at robots? That's ridiculous. Is this real?"
"Yes, it's real," Janine says before looking at you pointedly, "And that's Hawkeye, he's incredible, you know. He's fighting alongside the others with no super powers and no special enhancements."
Your brows raise in surprise, "Oh, okay. Yeah, that is actually pretty cool."
"They're all really cool," Melanie corrects, "Every single one of them is like a mini god."
"Oh, I've heard of the god guy," You interject quickly, "He's the one wlth the hammer. I saw it on instagram."
"Yeah, Thor," Janine says absentmindedly, "He's a dreamboat."
You watch the screen for a while longer until you spot a shield flying through the air.
"That's Captain America, right? The one with the shield?"
You watch as the shield is caught by a big guy wearing a navy suit and a cowl, not noticing how your friends share a look between the two of them.
"It is," Janine says, eyeing you hesitantly, "I didn't think you knew about him."
"I don't know much," you shrug, watching the screen, "But I remember that it was a big deal when they found him in that freezer, or whatever."
"The ice," Melanie snorts, "They found him in ice."
"Same thing," You shrug, "He's a bit too patriotic for my taste."
"Is that so?" Janine inquires, glancing at you, "You don't like him?"
"I don't really have an opinion, but he wouldn't be my favorite," You state, slowly getting bored as you watch the action unfolding.
"Should I get us some snacks?" You ask, and before Janine can even respond, you get up from the couch to walk to the kitchen, "I'm gonna get us some snacks."
You tune out your surroundings while you get chips and make some popcorn, oblivious to the quiet conversation happening on the couch.
"She still doesn't know?" Melanie whispers to Janine, "How has he not told her yet?"
"We're not even sure if it really is him," Janine responds, "It could just be a coincidence. The name thing."
"Yeah, okay, you're right," Melanie nods slowly, mulling it over before she says, "But she said he was really hot, though."
"Lots of guys are hot," Janine scoffs, "Doesn't mean anything. If it really was him, we would have known about it by now."
"Yeah, but what-"
"All good!" You cheer as you walk back towards the couch. You place the snacks on the coffee table before you plop down in your former spot.
You reach over to take a handful of popcorn, chewing them while you ask, "Are we gonna watch this all day?"
Melanie looks over at you before she grabs the bowl of popcorn to hold it in her lap, "Do you not want to watch it? I mean, it's pretty interesting, you have to admit that."
"Sure," you shrug, chewing another handful, "But you guys know I'm not into those Avenger guys. Like that one, Captain America, what a pretentious fucking douchebag name. And his costume is even worse."
You gesture to the screen, watching as the camera follows the giant shield flying through the air.
"You just know he'll be the type of guy to be all full of himself, he's probably not even-"
Your sentence is cut short when the camera follows the shield as it's caught. You practically choke when the camera zooms in and you recognize Steve's face, now no longer obscured by the cowl he was wearing earlier.
Melanie and Janine both turn to look at you at your abrupt silence, their brows furrowing in anticipation.
"Holy shit," you breathe out, panicking when the camera pans away to focus on a red-haired woman instead, "Wait, stop! Go back, rewind! Rewind!"
You jump up from the couch, yelling loudly and making Janine flail for the remote. She does as instructed, and watches in part amusement and part horror as you round the coffee table to get closer to the screen.
"Right there! Stop!" You exclaim when the camera focuses on Steve's face. Your mouth drops open, your heart practically stopping in your chest.
"Oh my god," you whisper, dumbly reaching out to touch the screen, "Oh my god. It's Steve."
Melanie and Janine glance at each other before Melanie hesitantly asks, "Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm fucking sure!" You yell in response, keeping your eyes locked on the TV, "You think I don't recognize my own fucking boyfriend?!"
"Boyfriend?" Janine quips, "Since when is he your boyfriend?"
Her words make you whip around to face the two of them, your lips clamping shut. You let out a small huff before you say, "He isn't, technically, but he could be, eventually.. You know?"
Then you glance back at the TV as you hurriedly say, "And anyway, that's not the point! The point is that Steve is on TV and he's wearing that stupid costume and throwing a shield around!"
You immediately turn to look at them again, "Steve is Captain America! Is he?! Is Steve Captain America?!"
Janine smiles softly before Melanie hesitantly says, "He uh.. He might be, yes."
"WHAT?!"
"We had our suspicions," she continues, exchanging a glance with Janine, "But we weren't sure. We figured you'd know, if he really was.. You know?"
You huff in annoyance, immediately digging your phone out of your pocket and finding his number.
"What are you doing?" Melanie asks as she watches you.
"Calling him," you grumble, "Gotta find out if it's really true or not."
"Babe, he's literally in a giant fight, the newscast is live. He won't answer."
"Then I'll leave a fucking message," you seethe, pressing his name before you bring the phone to your ear.
The call immediately goes to voicemail.
"You've reached Steve Rogers. Please leave a message after the tone."
As soon as you hear the beep, it's like your mind goes blank, making you spew out your thoughts angrily.
"Steven! Please explain to me why I'm currently watching you throw a GIANT FRISBEE AFTER KILLER ROBOTS?! YOU BETTER HOPE YOU DIE IN THAT FIGHT BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, BEST BELIEVE I WILL FINISH THE JOB FOR THEM!"
You hang up with another loud huff, Janine and Melanie watching you in horror.
"I can't believe you just said that!" Janine exclaims, "What the fuck?!"

Steve slumps down in his seat on the quinjet, still reeling from the fight he just went through.
He cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders, the suit clammy and grimey after wearing it for so long. He knows he's covered in sweat and dirt, he doesn't need a mirror to tell him that, and he has no doubt that even a super soldier smells horrific after such an ordeal.
Natasha takes a seat next to him, staying unusually quiet as she sighs. He glances over at her, offering her a small smile, "You okay?"
"Yeah," she says with a nod, and within a moment it's passed, it's like her mask is back up, shielding her emotions from the world. She smiles at him, nudging his shoulder, "Okay, so, about that date I promised to set you up on, there's this girl-"
"No need," Steve cuts her off, putting his hand up to stop her, "I'm good."
"Steve, come on," Natasha smiles, "You can't be alone forever. You deserve someone in your life."
Steve nods, the corners of his lips raising in a smirk, looking down at his hands folded in his lap.
Natasha catches on immediately.
She cocks a brow, tilting her head while scanning his face, "Oh, I see. You already do, don't you?"
Steve offers a bashful shrug, grinning when he looks up at her again, "Maybe."
"Oh damn," Natasha grins, "And you did it all on your own? Well done, bud! Who is she?"
He snorts at her wording, "I'm not a kid, Nat. Stop patronizing me. And she's my neighbor, actually."
Natasha nods, smiling widely at him, "That's great, Rogers. I'm happy to hear that. Did you call her to let you know you're safe and sound yet?"
Steve's brows furrow in response, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck awkwardly, "Well, uh, you see.."
Natasha frowns, her eyes narrowing.
"She doesn't really know I'm Cap.. Yet."
Natasha's frown only deepens, "What do you mean, she doesn't know? How can she not know? We're on the news practically every day."
Steve shrugs, "Beats me. At first I thought she just didn't recognize me when I introduced myself. But she's never mentioned it, ever. We even talked about the army, and she asked me about it, told me about her brother being a soldier. Still nothing, no recognition, no realization, nothing. I think she legitimately doesn't know it's me."
Natasha's brows raise in surprise, "She must not watch the news a lot."
Steve snorts and chuckles, "No, probably not. But it's been nice, actually. I've been able to pretend I'm just a normal guy, taking her on normal dates. I don't have to be Cap all the time. With her, I can just be Steve. I haven't gotten to be just Steve since before the serum."
Natasha smiles softly, "That's great, Rogers. That's really great. That's how it's supposed to be."
Steve smiles warmly, humming as he nods.
"So where does she think you are?"
"At work," he replies with another shrug, "Told her I work for the military, which isn't a complete lie."
"But we've been gone for a week," Natasha counters, "Did you let her know you're on your way back home?"
Steve's lips purse momentarily before he starts fumbling around for his phone, "No, you're right, I should probably let her know.."
Natasha chuckles, watching how he pats his suit down before he finally finds the old flip-phone.
"Good idea. And you should consider investing in a new phone."
"This works fine," Steve frowns, flipping it open and turning it on, "Why would I get a new one if this one works? I have my work phone, but it has so many unnecessary features, most of the time I prefer using this one."
Natasha chuckles again, making Steve look at her in confusion, but then his attention is pulled back to his phone when it pings.
"Oh, I have a voice message," he mumbles absentmindedly, brows furrowing as he presses the buttons.
"Maybe it's from her," Natasha smiles, watching his large fingers hitting the small buttons clumsily. "You know, buttons wouldn't be an issue if you upgraded to a smart-phone," she sasses, making Steve shake his head.
He presses play on the message, his brows raising when he hears your voice blaring loudly through the speaker.
"Oh shit," Steve breathes out, his eyes widening in terror, "Oh fuck."
"I like her," Natasha chuckles when the message ends, "She seems feisty. You need someone feisty."
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Steve mumbles, frowning as he opens up his texting app.
"Language," Natasha states, but she can tell his mind is elsewhere when he doesn't even react.
She looks down at the phone in his hand, horrified once she realizes what he's doing. She immediately snags the flip-phone out of his grasp, shutting it swiftly.
"Hey!-"
"Absolutely not, Rogers," she interrupts, looking at him pointedly, "You do not respond to something like that with a fucking text."
Steve's face is tense in worry, his eyes searching Natasha's for answers, "Then what do I do? I have to fix it, apologize so she doesn't-"
"You do that face to face," Natasha states, interrupting him again. "And you bring her flowers, maybe chocolate, too. Judging by how angry she sounded, I'd say chocolate would be smart."
"Chocolate?" He asks in confusion, tilting his head, "Why?"
"Because you're apologizing for lying to her, and the best way to do that is by giving her candy. And flowers."
"But I didn't lie, I was just-"
"You weren't being truthful," Natasha corrects, "And not being truthful equals lying. I think you already know you should have told that girl the truth a long time ago. How many dates have you been on?"
"Just a few," Steve mumbles, glancing at his phone currently still in Natasha's hand, "We went for a ride on my bike, and then I went over to her place for tea, and then-"
"Tea?" Natasha asks, cocking a brow, "Is that code for something?"
Steve looks up at her in confusion, "Like what?"
Natasha watches his confused expression, trying to decipher whether he's kidding or not, before she bluntly asks, "Have you had sex yet?"
As soon as the words leave her lips, she spots the pink tinging Steve's cheeks. He breaks eye contact, slowly shaking his head, "No, we haven't had sex yet. We've kissed, the first time when I went to her place for tea. And then a few other times, too. We had some movie dates.. It was nice."
"Nice? Just nice? A kiss should preferably be better than nice."
"Oh no, the kiss was amazing," Steve quickly interjects as he looks up at her, "It blew my freaking mind, that's why I kept wanting to do it."
Natasha chuckles at his sweet demeanor, "Okay, good. I got worried for a second. So you've kissed, but you're taking it slow otherwise, huh?"
"Yeah, I uh.." Steve hesitates, running a hand through his hair nervously before his voice lowers, "I kinda haven't.. Done that.. Since I came out of the ice.."
"Oh," Natasha breathes out, her brows raising, "I see."
"Yeah, but we've been taking it slow," he shrugs, "It's not like I've been holding off, but we're both just enjoying the others company."
"That's cute," Natasha smiles, "I'm glad you finally found someone you actually like."
Steve chuckles, nodding as he says, "I do, I really like her. She's cute, and funny. Smart, too. Very sweet. Kind. Beautiful."
Natasha hums at his words, Steve's eyes dropping to his phone before he whispers, "Now I just need to figure out how to fix the mistake I made.."

You pull on a pair of sleep shorts when your doorbell rings at a quarter to ten at night.
You're practically scowling as you walk towards your front door, still in a bad mood from earlier.
You're in your night shirt, prepared for bed already, and you're unfazed at your demeanor as you pull open your front door, brows pulled into a deep frown.
But it somehow turns deeper when you realize who's standing on the other side of the threshold.
You huff, eyes narrowing as you glare up at the blonde man towering over you, "What are you doing here?"
Steve's brows furrow in confusion, his head tilting a little, "I got your message. I came here as soon as I could, I wanted to explain.." He trails off, before remembering what he brought, raising both hands to show you the box of chocolates in one and a bouquet of roses in the other.
Your icy facade thaws just a little bit when you take it all in, but then it hardens again when your eyes trail over his form.
He's wearing a blue leather suit, a uniform, complete with red and white stripes, and a silver star on his chest. His face is dirty, his hair matted, and you realize he wasn't exaggerating when he said he came straight here.
"Can I come in?"
Steve's voice pulls you from your thoughts, your eyes meeting his. The familiar baby blue of them makes your heart skip a beat, breaking down your resistance.
You step aside, gesturing for him to enter your apartment, and he takes the hint immediately. You close the door behind him once he's walked inside, turning around to face you as he holds out his full hands again.
"Here, these are for you," he murmurs quietly, studying your expression, "A friend told me it would help you forgive me.."
You reluctantly take the flowers and chocolates, bringing them into the kitchen with you. You place them on the kitchen island before walking around it in search for a vase.
Steve unhooks the shield from his back and places it to rest against the wall before he follows you into the kitchen, his heart aching slightly at your uncharacteristic silence.
He watches as you rise up on your tiptoes to reach into the cabinet for a vase, and it takes everything in him to not step in and grab it for you.
You fill the vase with water before you place it on the counter top, carefully arranging the roses when you place them in it. Once you're done, you take a deep breath and turn to the blonde super soldier standing awkwardly in your kitchen.
"So," you say, your arms crossing over your chest, "You're Captain America."
Steve nods hesitantly, his blue eyes watching you carefully, "Yes, I am."
"And why didn't you tell me?" You ask sternly, your eyes narrowed as you hold his gaze.
Steve lets out a deep sigh, his form deflating a little when his eyes break away from yours. "I liked that I didn't have to be Cap around you. I liked just being Steve."
Your brows furrow in confusion, "What? What does that even mean?"
"I've been Cap in every aspect of my life since they gave me the serum," Steve states, his baby blues meeting yours again, "Every part of my life has been about Cap. Every choice I've made, every person I've known, every single meal I've eaten has been for Cap, about Cap. I didn't realize I would be giving up being Steve when I became this, but for a long time it's felt like it."
Your eyes search his, your features softening slowly.
"And then you come along and for the first time I got to be just Steve. I got to just be me, I got to take you on normal dates, got to drink tea and watch movies and not have to think about anything other than how soft your lips felt. I didn't want to give that up. I was being selfish."
Your heart hurts at his words, your fingers gripping the hem of your shirt to fiddle with it.
"I'm sorry for not telling you," Steve says earnestly, "I just wanted to pretend to be normal for as long as I could. I was worried everything would change once you found out."
"Steve, I-" you hesitate, practically drowning in the blue of his eyes. He looks vulnerable, opening up to you in such a personal way, it makes you want to wrap your arms around him and hold him close.
"I'm sorry," you say honestly, "I'm sorry you felt that way. And I'm sorry for being such an asshole about it."
Your gaze drops to the floor, a pang of guilt in your chest. You shouldn't have yelled at him, if you'd known how he really felt, you wouldn't have.
Steve's head tilts, a soft smile working its way onto his face, "Yeah, you're right. You're just an asshole."
"Yeah," You whisper, nodding as tears gather in your waterline. You sniffle to keep them at bay, but instead it triggers them, and Steve's heart breaks when he sees them trailing down your cheeks.
"Oh god, please don't," he says quietly, taking hesitant steps closer until he's right in front of you, "Sweetheart, please don't cry. I was trying to lighten the mood, I'm sorry."
You sniffle again, lifting your head to look up at him, "I'm sorry."
Steve's heart aches, smiling sadly, "Stop apologizing, please. You have nothing to be sorry for."
"But I yelled at you," you whisper, tears now flowing freely down your face, "I was.. m-mean to you."
Suddenly, his strong arms wrap around you, pulling you into his chest. You press your cheek against the firm muscle, the leather suit rubbing your skin comfortingly. Your arms wrap around his waist, your hands doing their best to curl in the material.
He brushes his large hand through your hair, shushing you gently, "it'll be alright, honey. It's okay. I'm not mad at you. You're not an asshole."
You sniffle again, mumbling against his chest, "Sometimes I just say things without thinking."
Steve chuckles, placing a kiss in your hair, "I like when you say things."
You giggle quietly, lifting your head to look up at him, "Even when it's not nice?"
Steve smiles, his hand cupping your cheek before he swipes away a tear with his thumb. His leather glove is warm against your skin, making you nuzzle into it gently, "I prefer when you're nice, but I'll take any part of you I can get, sweetheart."
You look up at him in adoration, your hands sliding down his back to his waist, "I'll take any part of you I can get too, Stevie. I'm sorry I got angry, in all honesty I was just scared and I reacted poorly. Seeing you up there was.. Scary. Terrifying, really. I'm worried it might take a while for me to get used to.."
Steve nods in understanding, "Of course. To be honest, I'd be more concerned if you weren't worried. At least this way I know you care about me."
You scoff and chuckle, shaking your head as you look up at him, "You really think I don't care about you?"
He quirks a teasing brow, which makes you laugh as you say, "Fine, maybe I could be better at showing it.."
Your eyes gaze over his face, taking in the dirt on his skin and his mussed up hair.
"Actually, I think I have a really good idea of how I can show you."
Tumblr media
"How's the water?"
You pick up the discarded leather suit from the floor, doing your best to not outrightly stare at the muscled adonis currently reclined in your bathtub. His legs are bent at the knees, showing off part of his thick thighs, his firm chest shiny from the water. His biceps are bulging at the relaxed bent state he has them in, one huge arm hanging off the side of the tub, his long slender fingers reaching the floor.
Steve's head is resting on the edge of the tub, his eyes closed as a content sigh leave his lips.
"It's amazing."
"Let me know if it gets too cold," you mumble bashfully, sneaking another glance at the greek god currently filling out your tub. Your eyes keep moving to his spread out thighs, and the area between them haphazardly concealed by the bubbles floating around the surface.
Steve only hums, the hand draped over the side of the tub absentmindedly reaching out for you. His fingers brush up your ankle to your calf, your heart doing an excited thump when he gently strokes your skin.
"Thank you for this, sweetheart," he murmurs, eyes lazily opening until his baby blues can find you, "You didn't have to."
You smile softly, your chest feeling warm and fuzzy as you take in the sleepy smile on his face, "It's not a problem, Stevie. Just relax. Use the oils, if you want. Lavender is good for winding down."
His smile widens a little, holding loving eye contact, which you break after a moment because your nerves get the better of you. You glance down at the suit bundled up in your arms, "You sure this thing can go in the washer?"
Steve chuckles, "Yeah, don't worry. No dryer, though. I tried doing that once, it ruined my old one."
You snort, a small giggle spilling past your lips, "I would imagine. You shouldn't tumble dry leather."
Steve just shrugs as you look at him again, it's like he's melting into the bath and it makes you let out another quiet giggle. "I'm gonna go start the washer. Be right back."
His fingers slide up your leg momentarily until he lets you go, and you take a deep breath once you've stepped out of the bathroom. You hurriedly move to your utility room, putting the suit in the washer and starting the load.
Once you walk back into the hallway, you almost stumble over the large shield propped up against the wall. You smile in amusement, bending down to gently touch the sleek metal.
Your brows raise in surprise at how smooth it feels, safe for the thin ridges cut into it to make out the circles and star. You glance down the hall towards the bathroom, the door open a smidge, your ears tuning in when you hear the water running.
Your eyes move back to the shield, careful fingers gripping it and raising it to your height. It's surprisingly light, something you wouldn't have figured, and you turn it around in your hands, your head tilting curiously when you see the leather straps attached to the back of it.
You react before you can think, directing your arm to go through the straps before your hand grips one to hold it up. You turn towards the mirror by your coat stand, your lips raising in a wide smile when you hold up the large shield in front of your body.
It's huge in size, practically swallowing you up, and it makes you let out a chuckle.
"Doesn't look this huge on him," you mumble, turning in front of the mirror as you hold up the shield. You try to move your arm around carefully, but the shield suddenly feels heavier when all its weight is put on just one arm.
"Damn," you murmur quietly, "He really is strong."
You try to grip it more firmly, imaging having to throw it around and catch it, and it makes your eyes widen a little.
He's really, really strong.
Your mind wanders at the thought; obviously, you always knew Steve was bigger and stronger than you, the way he towers over you is a testament to that. But it suddenly hits you that he's not just normally strong, no; he's super strong, and for some reason the thought makes your body tingle all over.
Your fingers swipe over the curved edge of the shield as you hold it up in front of you, your eyes transfixed on the image, mind swimming with possibilities. In fact, you're so occupied by your own thoughts that you don't hear the tub being drained.
"Sweetheart, do you have anything I could put on?"
You whip around to face Steve when he suddenly emerges from the bathroom, his brows immediately furrowing when he spots you holding his shield.
He's in nothing but a very flimsy towel, one that fits you fine but looks comically small on his large frame. It's tied around his hips, giving you a perfect view of his firm pecks and chiseled abs, barely covering his crotch before it ends midway down his thick thighs.
Steve quirks a brow at you, his gaze taking you in as you hold up his shield, your brows raised in surprise at being caught. He crosses his arms over his broad chest, large biceps bulging at the action, while he leisurely leans against the wall, keeping his baby blues locked on you.
"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something here?"
You let out a squeak, fumbling to get your arm out of the leather straps and almost dropping the shield on the floor, but it only makes Steve chuckle.
"Relax," he says with a smile, "It's fine. How does it feel?"
Your fingers tighten their hold a little to steady it, cheeks heating up as he looks at you. You mumble bashfully, "It's uhm.. It's pretty cool.."
"Yeah?" Steve grins, pushing off the wall and strolling closer. You try to keep your eyes on his face, and not on his god-like body that's still damp and shiny from his bath.
Not to mention the small towel that is most likely obstructing what would have been an even better view....
"Not too heavy?" Steve inquires, glancing down at the shield when he reaches you, "It looks a little big on you."
You let out a nervous giggle, nodding when his eyes flit back up to meet yours. "Yeah, it's a little big. I didn't think it'd be that heavy, but the longer I hold it with one arm like this, the heavier it becomes."
Steve chuckles, nodding as his fingers reach out to grip the edge, lifting it up to give you some reprieve, "Yeah, I know. You get used to it though."
He holds it up for you while you carefully maneuver your arm out, smiling up at him, "Can't believe you throw that thing around. Guess you're really strong, huh?"
Steve laughs, swiftly pushing his arm through the leather straps and holding the shield up in front of him. He holds it effortlessly, like it's the most natural thing in the world, and it stirs odd feelings inside you as you watch him.
"I guess," he says with a smile, watching your expression carefully, "I don't really think about it, anymore. In the beginning I had to adjust a lot; I wasn't used to being strong before the serum. Sometimes I still have to remind myself to be.. gentle."
Your breath hitches quietly at his wording, the look on his face as he says it. His eyes are boring into you, the blue slowly being swallowed out by his pupils, and nerves prickle your skin when you remember he's in nothing but a small towel right now.
You avert your gaze from his, clearing your throat quickly, "Right, uh, I guess that's.. Hard."
Steve nods immediately, pulling his arm out of the leather straps before he places the shield on the floor again, "Right, yeah, it can be.. yes.."
He stands back up, eyes slowly moving over your face, your heart beating rapidly in your chest when those baby blues meet yours again.
You can feel the nervous energy burning through you, like a rapid fire setting you alight. Your heart is pounding, you hear it in your damn ears, standing frozen in place right in front of the blonde super soldier who somehow managed to steal your heart in such a short amount of time.
Steve's lips slowly part as you both stand there, staring at each other, his chest rising and falling steadily as his eyes bounce between yours.
You can't stand this for even a second longer.
"Oh, fuck this," you murmur before you take a step, closing the space between you. You reach up to cup his face, guiding it down until his lips can meet yours.
Steve doesn't skip a beat, his strong hands find your hips, and you comply when they lift you off the ground. Your legs wrap around his waist, arms slung over his shoulders as you continue the passionate attack on his lips.
Steve groans lowly, his hands sliding down to your ass, holding you tight against him. You kiss him messily, your fingers curling in his hair, still damp from his bath.
"Bedroom," you moan against his lips, legs tightening around him when he bites down on your bottom lip, "Bedroom, please."
Steve grunts in agreement, stumbling down the hall in the direction of your bedroom while his soft lips continue possessing yours, a whimper pulled from you when his tongue slips into your mouth.
Once he makes his way to your bedroom, he drops you on the mattress, a whine of annoyance just about to leave your lips at the loss of contact. But it takes less than a second before he's back, his large frame looming over you as he leans down, his lips landing on yours again with fervor.
Your legs spread on instinct, allowing him to slot his large body between them, the fact that the towel has still managed to cover him after the commotion an afterthought in your mind.
Your hands are back in his hair, fingers sliding through the blonde strands as your legs lock around his narrow waist.
You pull him closer, moaning into his mouth when he complies and you feel his hardness pressing against your needy core.
"Stevie," you whimper against his lips, the soldier not ceasing his insistence to steal your breath away, "Need you. Need you so bad."
Steve groans, a guttural sound stemming from his chest before he suddenly pulls away, just enough to look at you. His wild eyes bounce between yours nervously, his brows furrowing slightly, "You sure? You said you wanted to take things slow, and that's-"
"No," you immediately whine, shaking your head, "No more slow, no. Please. I need to feel you, be close to you. I was so worried today, so angry, and sad, and worried, and hurting. I was so worried I'd never get to do this, never get to be close to you like this, and then after I was such an asshole, I was worried I'd lost you before you'd ever really been mine."
His features soften, his breathing heavy as he scans your face. His lips raise in a soft smile, words a small whisper, "I've been yours this entire time, sweetheart. You'd have to fight me off with an army for me to stay away. And even then, I probably wouldn't."
Your heart soars and emotion floods you, you can almost feel the tears pricking at the back of your eyes, but before you let them ruin the moment, you pull him back to you, your lips already missing the touch of his.
Steve kisses you carefully, his hands sliding up your sides and under the sleep shirt you're wearing. You sigh against his lips, lifting off the bed a little when his fingers grip the hem of your shirt to pull it off.
Your lips part from his when he lifts the shirt over your head, already reaching out for him to come back, but he doesn't oblige. Instead, he leans back until he's sitting on his haunches, his warm hands caressing your waist as he looks down at you.
"Fuck," he whispers, eyes trailing over your exposed chest, "I already knew you'd be beautiful, but.."
Your cheeks heat up, your smile turning shy as you watch him drink up every exposed inch of you.
His baby blues flit up to meet yours, hands slowly sliding up your stomach until his fingers brush the underside of your breasts.
You release a shaky breath, letting your hands trail up his forearms just as his hands glide over your breasts, two large palms giving them an experimental squeeze.
Steve lets out a quiet sound, one that's caught in his throat when his eyes flick back down to your breasts, watching as his nimble fingers squeeze your nipples between them.
You let out a small whimper, a sound that shoots through Steve like lightning, and he repeats the action, baby blues landing back on your face.
You squirm a little on the bed, hips bucking up involuntarily when he toys with your nipples, watching how your brows furrow and lips part.
Just as you're about to complain that you need more, his hands slide back down, heating your skin as they go, his fingers curling in the waistband of your shorts.
He looks at you for confirmation, and you nod hesitantly, but that's not enough for him.
"Aw baby, I thought you were a big girl, isn't that what you told me? C'mon, then. Use your big girl words for me."
His words stir something inside you, croaking out a quiet, "Please don't stop."
Steve hums in approval, slowly tugging down your shorts. It takes him no time to slide them down your legs, helping you maneuver around so he can pull them off, before he tosses them aside, not even glancing at where they land.
His large palms grip your inner thighs, slowly spreading you wide for him, eyes locked on yours until you're spread out for him. He looks down at your needy center, a groan bubbling up in his chest when he takes in your exposed body, letting his thumbs gently stroke the inside of your thighs, right next to where you need him most.
"So beautiful," he murmurs, slowly taking in your naked form until he's back to watching your face, "You're so beautiful, I could look at you for the rest of my life."
Nerves swirl around your body wildly, your heart thumping in your chest, but you don't have time to think about the gravity of his words.
Because his hands are inching closer, thumbs gently swiping over your folds teasingly, his teeth digging into his plump bottom lip when he swipes one down your slit.
"You're soaked," he comments, tilting his head as he looks at you, "What got you so worked up, hm baby?"
You want to make a sassy retort but you can't, because his fingers put more pressure on your core, collecting your slick, and it makes you glance down at the part of his body that's still covered by a towel, much to your dismay.
"Steve," you breathe out shakily when his fingers move up to circle your bundle of nerves, "Stevie, please."
"What's that?" he teases, his lips lifting in a smirk, "Sorry sweetheart, didn't hear you."
"Steve," you whine, back arching when his thumb swipes over your clit while he slowly pushes a thick finger inside you, "Fuck, I need you."
Steve hums in response, watching how his finger disappears into you, how your body opens up to him so beautifully.
"I know sweetheart," he murmurs, leaning over your body to look at you. He rests his weight on his forearm as he looms over you, adding another finger inside you and slowly pumping them in and out in tune with his thumb on your clit, "Gotta get you ready first, though."
You moan at how his thick digits play you like a finely tuned instrument, reaching up to cup his face. You bring him down to you, lips greedily taking his as his fingers pick up pace.
When he adds another finger to your aching hole, you let out a whine, and Steve takes the opportunity of your parted lips to slide his tongue into your mouth.
You mewl into his mouth when he starts fingering you more determinedly, your hands curling in his blonde locks as your hips buck up against his hand.
"Yeah, you like that?" He murmurs against your lips, making you nod eagerly, "Mmh, I can tell baby, you're squeezing my fingers so tight. You wanna come, hm?"
You nod again, pulling on his hair, which only makes him chuckle as he tucks his face into your neck, "Want that too. Want you to soak my fingers, need to make my best girl feel good."
His lips suck on your neck, making you keen under him, the coil in your stomach tightening and making your body tense in anticipation.
His thumb continues its expert assault on your clit, your hips bucking up before you start trembling, and when you come undone with a cry Steve groans, "That's it, there you go. Fuck yes, you're doing so well for me baby. Good girl, c'mon, keep going."
He doesn't let up, his fingers keep torturing you as you come, prolonging your orgasm, and you can feel your entire body starting to shake violently as you soak his hand in your juices.
You gasp loudly, slumping into the mattress when he finally lets up his assault, but you don't get much of a reprieve, because his lips are back, moving possessively over yours.
"We can stop, if you want," he mumbles against your lips, leaning his heavy weight on top of you when you wrap your arms over his shoulders, "We don't have to."
"Want to," you whisper immediately, "Want to feel you."
Steve pulls back a little, eyes meeting yours earnestly, "I'm serious, sweetheart. We can wait, we don't-"
"Steven," you interrupt, doing your best to keep your voice steady, "I want this. Please, I need this. Need you to fuck me. Need to feel you."
Steve's jaw tenses at your words, and it takes everything in him to remind himself to be gentle with you.
"I want this too," he replies, cupping your cheek, "More than anything, you have no idea. But, I.."
"What?" You ask, your brows furrowing at the serious expression on his face, "Stevie, what's wrong?"
He sighs, his thumb stroking your cheek and swiping over your bottom lip, "I uhm.. You know, the serum enhances everything. And I, uh, I haven't really been with anyone since I came out of the ice. So I just.. Don't know what to expect."
Your brows raise in surprise, "Oh.. Okay.. I see.. Would you.. Would you rather wait? Because we can-"
"No!" He immediately exclaims, making you giggle at his eagerness. It lightens the tension a little, a smile working its way onto his face, "No, I don't want to wait, but I do want you to tell me if I'm hurting you. I don't want to hurt you. So please tell me if you want to stop at any point."
You nod, a slight worry running through you that you do your best to hide, "Okay, I promise. I'll tell you to stop if it hurts."
Steve nods, placing a kiss on your forehead before he pulls back to lean on his haunches again. You raise your upper body a little, leaning on your elbows as you watch him shyly unwrap the towel from his waist.
You don't even notice when he tosses it on the floor because your eyes are transfixed by what was just revealed to you.
Your mouth gapes open as you look at his cock, so much thicker and larger than any cock you've ever seen in your entire fucking life.
Considering Steve's size, it doesn't seem that crazy, but considering how massive he is compared to you, you suddenly realize why he was hesitant about this.
You clamp your mouth shut once you realize you've been gawking at his dick, your eyes darting up to meet his.
His brows are furrowed slightly, his expression worried as he waits for you to speak.
"That's-" you hesitate, quickly glancing down at his cock again before you look at his face, "That's a.. That's a really big dick."
Steve snorts out a surprised laugh at your wording, his tense form easing up a little and making you giggle as well.
He swipes a hand through his hair, shaking his head in amusement when his baby blues find you again, "You really do say things without thinking, huh?"
You shrug, tilting your head when your gaze travels down his body to focus on the massive member between his thighs, "Sometimes I get.. Overwhelmed."
He smirks, watching as you keep your eyes on his cock, and he's not disappointed when your teeth dig into your bottom lip right as he wraps one of his large hands around the base of it.
He pumps it leisurely, watching how you swallow thickly, before he husks out, "Sweetheart, you have no idea how much I want – no, fucking need – to be inside you."
Your eyes immediately flit up to his, your thighs instinctively spreading as you reply, "Just be gentle with me, Captain."
Steve suppresses the low growl building in his chest as his title rolls off your tongue, his fist squeezing the base of his cock to calm himself.
"I promise," he replies, leaning over you again as he keeps his fist wrapped around his cock, "I promise to always be gentle with you."
You lie back and reach up to cup his face, your breath hitching when he rubs the thick mushroom head of his cock between your folds, spreading around your juices. You tilt your hips a little, spreading your thighs as wide as they can go, holding searing eye contact when his tip catches on your entrance.
He breaches your hole, slowly pushing inside and forcing your walls to stretch around him, and you can immediately tell it's going to be a tight fit.
Apparently, Steve can too, because he instantly lets out a choked, "Oh shit, you're so tight baby, fuck."
Your brows furrow a little, teeth digging into your bottom lip as you try to focus on relaxing around him, helping him inside, a whine bubbling up in your throat when he manages to push the tip inside you.
"You okay?" he whispers breathlessly, eyes watching you intensely, "I can pull out if you-"
"Fuck no," you breathe out, wide eyes holding his, "Don't you fucking stop, keep g-going."
Steve hesitates, but you don't give him a chance to consider his options when you pull his face down to you, your lips taking his as your hands slide down his back.
He grunts into your mouth, instinctively pushing deeper inside you in response, and it makes you let out a loud moan against his lips.
He keeps pushing and pushing and pushing, his wide girth stretching you beyond your wildest dreams. Every time you think he's fully inside, he gives you a little more, and it knocks the breath from your lungs when he finally pushes fully inside, his heavy balls resting against your ass.
You whimper, and Steve groans lowly, his lips not letting up as they move over yours. Your fingers dig into his shoulders when his hips pull back only to push forward again, your entire body jolting in response.
He sets off a slow pace, doing his best to be gentle, and it helps you relax a bit, the stinging gradually turning into pleasure.
"Fuck," you cry when he tucks his face into your neck, leaning his entire heavy weight on top of you as he starts rutting into you more eagerly, "Oh god, Stevie, fuck."
Steve moans into your ear, his hot breath on your skin, voice breathless, "Fuck-oh shit-oh my god, you're so tight. God you feel so good, oh fuck."
You mewl, nails raking down his back when his hips pick up pace, his heavy grunts only spurring you on.
"Shit, you're sucking me right back in whenever I try to pull out. You're so tight sweetheart, but your pussy just keeps sucking me in. You're squeezing me so fucking tight, I'm not gonna be able to last long."
You let out breathy moans, quickly turning whinier when his cock throbs against your walls, the tip of his cock continuously rubbing against that spongy spot inside you.
You can't focus on anything other than the pleasure shooting through your body, his thick cock dragging against your walls as he fucks into you, reaching deeper than anyone you've ever been with before.
"Stevie, oh, 'm gonna cum, gonna cum, ah!"
Steve growls at your words, suddenly swiveling his hips, and it makes you cry out as you get thrown into a climax so unusual to what you've felt before. You've never been able to come just from sex, and the sensation is different than you're used to, but it makes your body wind tight and burn deliciously, a euphoria crashing over you in waves.
Steve feels it when every emotion floods your body, and he feels when you come around him, your walls squeezing him like a vice.
He lets out a shout, his hips pushing flush against yours as he whimpers against your neck, his warmth flooding your insides.
You let out a pathetic sound as you slowly come back down from your high, your fingers gently stroking his back as Steve pants against your skin.
He nuzzles his face into your neck, leaving a few soft kisses while he trails up to your jaw.
Your fingers slide into his hair, smiling softly when he pulls back a little to look at you, and then you both let out a giddy laugh as you look at each other.
"That was pretty fucking amazing," you whisper breathlessly, "Why did we wait so long to do that?"
Steve chuckles, pecking your lips before he whispers against them, "I don't know. But don't worry, we'll never have to again. Just give me five minutes and I'll be ready for round two."
"Okay," You smile, twirling a blonde strand of hair around your finger, "But while we wait, will you tell me about what your life was like in the past?"
Steve's smile turns shy, "You want to know about that?"
You nod determinedly, giving yourself to the baby blues swallowing you up, "I want to know every single thing about you."

Day 6 of Kinktober: Having an Affair with Jack Chambers
pairing: jack chambers x fem!reader
warning: eating out, riding, protected sex.
Tumblr media
Y/N’s POV
I moved into Victory a year ago and I’ve been having an affair with Jack Chambers. We go somewhere private secretly so no one can’t see us.
One night, his wife Alice, went out for a girls night but I didn’t want to go so I lied about me being sick, meaning, fucking around with Jack. When the coast was clear, I went to the house and Jack immediately let me in the house.
“I’ve waited so long for this Y/N/N.” Jack says pulling me into him.
“What’re waiting for Jack, I’m here, take me somewhere that you make me beg for you.” I say making his face be close to mine.
Jack takes me to a counter and makes my dress go up so he can see my new lingerie I bought. The way his smirk grows, I’m so ready for him to fuck me up. He makes me take off some of the lingerie off and eats me out while I’m still sitting on the counter, I tug on his hair and gasp while I lean my head back. I position my right heel on his left shoulder blade which made him hold my right leg in place so I couldn’t move it at all.
“Fuck!” I scream.
He’s so good at this it makes me think that my husband is lousy in bed.
Jack stops eating me out and I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck, he takes me to his bedroom, He lays me down and takes his clothes off which made me want him even more. When he got fully naked, I made him get down to my level and he wraps his arms around my body and takes me to the end of the bed. He gets a condom from his nightstand and put it on his cock. He fucks me, I scratch his back each time he went harder into me. I take control a bit, I flip us over to make me on top of him.
I feel my strap falling off, Jack unzips my lingerie and I take it off. I can tell he wants me, I position myself to ride him. I took him so well, Jack leans up to face me and we kiss, I moan into the kiss.
“Ja- Fuck.” I moan while he gives me love bites on my neck.
“You’re so much better than my wife.” He moans continues giving me love bites.
“Why you say that?” I stop him giving me bites.
“She’s been acting crazy lately, I think you already know.” He looks at me.
“Yeah, she has been crazy, that dinner the other night, her crazy idea about Victory and you looking at her when Frank talked about her at his house.” I said.
“I know that she would lie, you don’t lie at all.” Jack touches my cheek.
“I mean the food was good.” I chuckle.
“I think your food is better.” He says.
“Jack!” I chuckle.
“It’s the truth.” He makes us do nose to nose.
We continue kissing and fucking each other, Alice catches us.
“Jack!?” Alice in a scared way.
Jack and I look at Alice, I get embarrassed, I hide my naked body and I look at Jack who has a kinda of an embarrassed face.
“How long has this been going on?” Alice questions.
“A several months.” Jack says.
Alice’s face looks mortified and she walks out of the room.
Ever since that day I’ve been at home not going to any parties or clubs with Jack and he’s friends. I’m so embarrassed, I wish that I never came here or met Jack. Thank god we stayed protected. I hate myself. Fuck Victory!

also your miss independent fic piece was amazing <3
hello lovely, thank you! this is such a cute one, i chose pine because… well come on he’s my fave 😩 enjoy ! x
Sleepy
Tumblr media
Summary: After a very long shift, you help your love get a well deserved nights rest.
Warnings: None, pure fluff, jonathan being a softie
Pairing: Jonathan Pine x female!reader or GN!reader
Prompts: ‘Your lover is snoring quietly and you can’t help but giggle because it’s so cute’ and ‘Laughing at their messy hair in the morning.’
The cold, snowy weather was the perfect setting for the Meisters Hotel in Zermatt, and it was your favourite weather.
You and your boyfriend of five years had recently moved here as Jonathan was needed for work, he was the night manager for the hotel and you worked as a chambermaid.
You didn’t mind it at all as it was good pay, and the fact that you got to see your beautiful man at work.
Every evening he wore the most stunning suits you’d ever seen, the shirts being tight-fitted around his arms and shoulders.
He just always looked so good.
You both usually slept during the day as Jonathan worked night shifts and you were needed early in the mornings, so he would wait for you to finish before driving you both back to your cabin.
However, today had been particularly busy as the hotel filled with guests arriving for their stay.
It was Jonathan’s job to get them checked in and assigned to their rooms, and assisting them with anything else they may need.
You’ve watched him do his job a couple of times and it’s fascinating how effortless it looks for him.
But today you had been at home resting all day (Jonathan’s orders), as he was asked to step in for someone who called in sick.
So that meant that he was covering both day and night shift, and you knew he would be exhausted by the end of it.
He had sent you a quick text saying ‘i should be finished around the same time as you, darling.’
You were due to start at 5 in the morning, and it was currently 4:15 so you headed to the front door and began the short walk to the hotel.
The sky was slowly getting lighter as the sun came up and when you reached the hotel, you walked through the revolving door and saw him.
He was typing on the computer behind the front desk whilst speaking to some guests, then leading them to the bar area as he put their bags behind the desk.
You could tell that he was trying to push through the exhaustion, but then as he looked up and met your gaze, you saw his lips part as he sighed.
You walked over to him and stepped behind his desk, resting your hands on his broad shoulders and rubbing them gently.
You heard him release a quiet ‘mmmh’ as he leaned his head back into your touch, “Not much longer now my love.”
You whispered in his ear and placed a delicate kiss on his temple, to which he smiled softly at.
“Thank you darling, I’ll meet you here in reception once you’re finished.” He said and leaned down to peck your lips gently.
You left him and went to change into your work clothes, and collected the cleaning supplies from the closet and got to work.
It took you about two hours to flip the hotel rooms over, ready for new guests that would be arriving today.
Changing back into your normal clothes that you arrived in, you left your work uniform in the closet and grabbed your handbag before making your way down to reception.
When you got there you saw Jonathan sat on one of the sofas in the middle of the room, scrolling through his phone.
As soon as he heard the elevator ping and the doors open he looked up to see you smiling at him.
You both left the Hotel hand in hand and got in your car, which Jonathan had drove to work the morning before.
Once you reached your cabin that you now call home, you both got in the shower together but you were both too tired to even try anything.
You poured some of the soap into your hands, rubbing them together and rubbed your hands all over Jonathan’s back and shoulders.
He melted into your touch and rested his head on your shoulder as you rubbed his back, and reaching up to grab the shower head and let the water fall down his back.
Then you squeezed some of his shampoo in your hands and ran it through his wet blonde locks, he closed his eyes as you worked your magic and you admired once again just how beautiful he was.
Once you rinsed the shampoo out of his hair, you quickly washed yourself as you knew he just needed to get into bed.
Stepping out of the shower together, you wrapped one towel around his waist and one around your middle.
You got a clean pair of boxers out for him and one of his T-shirts for yourself, and once you were both dry and changed you got into bed.
He collapsed onto the sheets with a big sigh and you scooted closer to his warm body, wrapping your arms around his waist and resting your head on his chest.
One of his hands rubbed your back slowly and the other rested behind your head, playing with your hair gently.
He placed a soft kiss on your forehead and you felt his breathing calm down, you snuggled closer into him as you could feel him falling asleep already.
Before you knew it, you felt his arms go limp and you smiled as you heard soft little snores escape from his lips.
As he let out quiet snores, you reached up and brushed some of his curls out of his face and pressed soft kisses on his cheeks.
You couldn’t help but giggle at his snoring as it was so cute, and you were just so glad that he could get some well needed sleep.
You woke up hours later and it was gone 2 in the afternoon, and you naturally reached out for Jonathan and felt that his sleeping body was still there.
You pulled him gently into your arms and held his head against your chest, wrapping your arms around him and snuggling under the weight of him.
You heard him groan softly as he buried his head in your neck, pecking your skin lightly and your tan your fingers through his messy locks.
He finally gained enough strength to lift his head and he pouted his lips as if asking for a kiss.
You giggled and granted him his wish, softly kissing those perfect pink lips of his to which he hummed in delight at.
Once you pecked his lips one more time, you pulled away to look at him and when you did a laugh escaped your lips.
“What?” His raspy voice spoke as he furrowed his brows.
“Nothing… it’s just your hair.”
He narrowed his eyes at you and you couldn’t help but chuckle more at the sight.
He went to bed with wet hair so that made it even more messy, but it was just all over the place.
His normal slicked back blonde locks were now all curly and flicked in different directions, but he still looked like a literal god.
“Stop laughing,” He said with a smirk on his face and it only made you laugh more.
You cupped his cheeks with both of your hands and softly kissed him again, resting your forehead on his.
“I’m sorry baby, you just look so cute.” You stroked his hair and he smiled.
“I’ll show you ‘cute’…” He pushed himself up on his hands and began to attack your neck with kisses, slowly making his way down your middle which had you erupting with laughter as he tickled your sides.
A/N: oh how much i wish this was real 😭

Maybe another idea if u would like :P
What if Vash or Nai get into a big fight and is loosing a dangerous amount blood, maybe the reader could offer help?
What if Nai turned feral because he hasn't been drinking enough blood because of how much he hates wolfwoods blood?
OH HO HO FERAL NAI HHEEHEHEEH U KNOW ME SO WELLLL LUNE MWAHAHAHAHAH
ahem.
*straightens out papers* shall we begin?
Suggestive?? But not really- Nai is hot and cold (when is he not tbh) pining (do we know if it’s mutual? OOoOo) (the header is lowk satire but also not)
TW: blood, biting (although that’s expected so)
TAGS: @lune010 @vashfantasy @coffinbeananteiku
“You, with your kind words and wonderful laugh, and Nai hates, loathes you even. Do you taste as sweet as you act?”
Tumblr media
Nai hated having no sense of control.
Control was what he craved, every second of the day. The hedges in front of the manor were to be trimmed in this exact manner, the books organized in their usual fashion, and his collar straightened out just the way he liked.
His urges, feeding- that was one thing he could not control.
While Vash found it plenty fine to feed from an undertaker such as the human he’d welcomed into their home once a week to feed, Nai turned up his nose plenty times at said offering. It wasn’t like anyone was clamoring for him anyway- all of said visitors only came for Vash’s company, bright smiles and joyous laughs. He was so pathetic in that way, pleasing them as if his company wasn’t enough.
Hmph.
Well, aside from their usual visits, now he had you. You resided in the castle amongst them, entertaining Vash with your feeble presence and conversation- tending and assisting wherever and looking into the library whenever.
How did you plan to pay them back? You couldn’t just live here for free. You cleaning up every now and then didn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, as servants tended to such matters all the time, clamoring to his feet as head of household.
The minute Vash had offered some of Nicholas’ blood to him, he adamantly refused. The man reeked of cigarette smoke and musk from outside, and the scowl he’d been giving him was returned in full.
His hunger continued to grow.
Vash could tell- the chew of his lip constantly, his slight jumpiness to his straight dazed state on occasion- he was losing control.
Slipping.
Vash truly believes his cravat being tucked slightly to his dislike would drive Nai wild, minuscule irks seeming to irritate him to no end, even more so than before.
And that’s where you come in.
Sweet and attentive, truly just wanting to help- he hopes Nai has taken more of a liking to you than Nico. Would you be preferable to him? He truly doesn’t know, but he’s hoping for the best. Seeing his brother starve before him isn’t something he finds enjoyable, worrying him greatly into the hours of day and night.
When Vash proposes the idea, a hand gesturing to you in a flourish (as if marketing a new product), Knives’ eyebrows furrow further in rejection of the idea.
“Absolutely not.”
Depending on you? A human? Knives’ supply of blood began to run low awhile ago, the dwindling amount that had gone to 0 fluid ounces a known fact that he had tried to lock away in the recesses of his mind- as he did with every other issue.
“They just want to help, and you do need the blood.. it’s either them or Nico, Nai.” Vash’s voice is patient, as it always is, but he can detect a hint of pleading.
And he supposes you’re a bit less insufferable than Nicholas, and your neck is exposed revealing any moles or freckles or-
No. No. He cannot accept. No.
The smell of you is intoxicating. The way you saunter from one room to the next, cheeky comments and, god.
Vash doesn’t comment on his refusal over the next few days. But by god does he note the antsy habits of Nai starting to kick in. Drumming his fingers against the hard cover of a book or his mahogany desk in the study, his study, where you sat now with one of his books.
“I apologize- Vash handed it to me as a recommendation.” Which you’d found strange, considering he wasn’t one for literature, unlike Nai, who found comfort in the world of reading often.
His face was unreadable. Eyes set on the book in your hands, forearms resting on it as it lay on your lap, silence thick and swimming in the room.
“Uh, here you go..?” You stood up, chair moving back as you rested the book onto his desk. Your wrist was so close, he could grab it and take a bite if he really wanted to. Your outstretched wrist was practically dangling before him, and before you knew it a large hand clasped around your wrist and tugged you closer, your hip bumping into the front of his desk as he brought your pulse point to his lips.
The thrumming of it was routine, he noted silently, flow of blood felt against his lips as he takes it in, snowy eyelashes fluttering closed in temporary relief. From your point of view? He was absolutely ethereal, comparable to a seraph with his angelic appearance. He’d always been painstakingly beautiful, and unbelievably cold, but for some reason his touch felt.. warm. Well, as warm as he could be.
“…May I?” His eyes open in questioning up at you, and despite the fact you’re towering over him as of currently (as he’s still seated in his plush armchair), he still exudes some sort of power.
At least he’s trying to.
“May you what? Hold my wrist?” A breathy chuckle escapes you, a huff leaving his lips. You can feel it on your skin.
He speaks as if he’s exposing some inside joke you should’ve gotten by now, “Feed from you.” His voice is uncharacteristically small to its usual commanding tone- it’s quite the change of pace, adding onto the surprise striking you. He doesn’t miss how you swallow thickly, he can hear it. Doesn’t miss how your heart picks up, he can feel it,
He doesn’t miss how you nod, hesitance evident in your mannerisms yet he pauses once more, “Pull up your chair. It’s better when you sit.” He instructs curtly.
Had he fed from many people before? Vash never disclosed such details with you, but the thought still crosses your mind as you sit back in your chair, scooting it closed until your knees bump into the wood and your elbows rest comfortably on the surface of his desk. His fingers clasp around your wrist again, lips meeting with an unexpected tenderness as he.. kissed your pulse point.
The rhythm of it is almost soothing, the motion almost too sweet. Maybe he’s being considerate for once and preparing you for the pain, you think, as he checks for your reaction once more. Pecks meet your wrist once more, your palm grazing his cheek as he wonders what you’d taste like.
And he was just beginning to satiate that need as his fangs dug into your skin, the initial bruising soreness nothing as painful as you’d imagined. In fact, you’d studied from the books in the castle’s library that high class vampires had the ability to calm who they fed from, injecting some sort of substance to momentarily comfort their prey.
Although strangely, you didn’t feel like prey. Rather, he worshipped you in some strange way, even with him continuing to suck greedily on your arm, you could feel the blood leaving you but the needy grip on your wrist was telling.
He needed this.
His other hand came up to grip your arm, holding you still. As if you’d pull away. It didn’t truly hurt besides the starting sting of the bite, which had faded into a dull ache by now. His thumb was against the back of your hand, stroking the skin. Perhaps it was in hopes to coax more blood out of you? Or maybe do you wouldn’t attempt to struggle, to writhe in pain and try to hide away? There was the idea he was being loving, but that most definitely wasn’t true. Not with him. He clearly held a distinct bitterness for most, and that included you. Sadly.
But as he pulled away, slight daze in his gaze as he looked up before you… with his lips stained cherry, tongue laving at the wound in hopes to get one last taste- the sight alone caused your breath to hitch in your throat. An understandable reaction, you’d say.
He forced himself away, curling back into himself and laying in his armchair. “..you’re free to go now.”
“Ah. Yeah.” You respond curtly, having no true idea on what to say.
The minute the door to his study closed shut behind your person, his eyes closed as his hand covered his brow bone, tongue running against his teeth and lips to taste the remnants of you.
You were a nuisance, remaining in his study and conscience even when you weren’t truly present.
Tumblr media
The next time hunger strikes him, it’s around a week later.
Vampires are supposed to feed multiple times per week to sustain themselves- how Nai had managed to curve that hunger for so long was either through status or sheer willpower and determination.
Hunger hides for nobody though, as one night you find neat stationary underneath your chamber door. A black wax seal is pressed into the parchment, the initials, K.M. , in rich lettering engraved into what must be a seal stamp in one of his fine desk drawers. The parchment is thick and rich beneath your fingers- even his letters were extravagant, his neat handwriting detailing:
Arrive at my study tonight, 6:45 o’clock.
-Knives
How informative of him. No hi, hello, or perhaps even a basic explanation as to why, but Knives was above the formality of a simple greeting, pfft. With a roll of your eyes, you focus on the letter once more. Hm. His signature was rather elegant, swooping K ending with a sleek S.
It suited him.
Tumblr media
Being punctual was something Knives appreciated, your timid form knocking at the double doors of his study, knuckles hesitantly knocking.
“Come in.” He sounded almost.. bored, (although that was far from the truth), fang prickling his tongue in preparation for what was to come. His trenchcoat and outerwear had been hung neatly on the coat rack beside his desk, cravat a bit looser around his neck as if he had been trying to destress.
You seated yourself before him like last time.
“..any reason why you requested my presence?”
It had occurred to you a long time ago Knives loathed explaining himself or his behaviors, believing he could go about as he pleased. To an extent? That was true. But he couldn’t just summon you and not have any sound reason.
His eyes darted to the side before settling onto you once more, eyeing you wearily. “..your blood.” He muttered, hand crossing over his chest and sighing.
…you waited for further elaboration, but clearly none was to come.
“You.. you need to feed again?”
“Yes, I need to feed again.” He exhaled in exasperation, “Is your offer still on the table?” It was amusing how depraved he must be, and it entertained you until at the end of his retort you caught a glimpse of his fangs peeking from his lips once more. He was clearly annoyed with you, but something else seemed to irk him moreso than his usual pissy self.
It was probably just the hunger talking.
Scooting your chair forward, you allowed your knees to bump the front of his desk once more, extending a hand silently in waiting.
“Close your eyes,” he muttered, moving his lips to your skin. His breath cascaded upon you, leaving you to quietly savor and relish in each ministration. Do vampires have the ability to do such magic? To entrance whoever they feed upon? If they do, Knives’ surely must be strong.
He’s a high class vampire, one of his kind, so it truly only makes sense.
Your eyes flutter closed at his command, awaiting a bite that doesn’t come. Instead, he continues to kiss your wrist once again.
But he doesn’t stop.
Plush lips laying chaste kiss upon kiss up your forearm, hand holding your wrist before moving to encapsulate your smaller fingers in his as he twirls..
Closer to you now. His footsteps are practically silent, as terrifying as that may be it only thrills you. His palm on your shoulder is the first solid touch you feel aside from his hand holding yours, breath shaky as he takes you in.
His nose nudges your jaw, free hand laid upon your collarbone. Each sensation astounds you, coalescing and building upon one another and leaving your mind in a heavy fog alike to the smog surrounding the manor.
Hands cool against your quickening heartbeat, he barely has the patience to feel it with his hands, then lips, then his fangs.
His proximity is intoxicating. Almost pressed against you, he can hear and feel your chest below his hands as your breath hitches from his teeth digging into you. You flood his senses like no other, it’s a nuisance, truly, and this is the only way he can subdue it.
With his fangs hitched into your neck and him relishing in the slight gasp you give, pulse quickening with a silent hum of his lips.
A depraved, guttural groan leaves him as he holds you by the junction between your shoulders and clavicle. Thoughts of you have been running rampant in his mind for what feels like an eternity, painstakingly on loop in his mind constantly- with you holding him closer, as if you.. enjoy this.
That thought alone twists something within him as he forces himself to pull away, a few stray drops of blood dripping down his chin and dirtying his cravat.
“You.. you are dismissed.” He cooly disgregards you-
You and the split crack in his composure you cause in your wake, as he loosens his cravat around his neck once more, desire thickening. It’s soon to become palpable, as your presence in the castle is more apparent.

chris pine x musician!reader (slightly oc)
Tumblr media
pinterest board
synopsis: a series chronicling the love affair between a famous musician and her actor neighbor
word count : 3.4k
warnings: 18+ ONLY, fluff, slight smut, age gap relationship (reader is late 20’s while chris is 41), lil sub!reader, swearing, explicit descriptions of sexual content, mentions of drugs and alcohol, major daddy chris to the rescue
author’s note : the lack of chris pine content on this hellsite is a crime. this is my first time writing in a loooong time and i just can’t seem to get this man out my head. definitely will be a continuous story cause i’ve already fallen in love with this concept. hope you enjoy! ask box is always open!
Softly humming to the beat of the music emitting from the house she'd just left, it was borderline neurotic how she paced back and forth next to her parked car.
She'd been hovering over the call button for five minutes now. Picking at her thumbs cuticles until ultimately deciding to hell with it. It felt like she was dialing him for hours until he finally picked up the phone on the third ring. He always promised her, with a tight grip on her hand and amorous eye contact, that if she needed him for anything he was just a phone call away. Even after a couple years of just being neighborly acquaintances - spare the past few months were it seemed their relationship was blossoming into something much more than that - she'd only taken Chris's generous offer literal maybe twice in the past. "Hello?" Fuck. She knew there were tons of reasons as to why someone's voice would sound so intoxicatingly delicious at 3:15 in the morning - one being because she'd just woken him up from a very deep slumber. The generous shots of tequila and second blunt rotation definitely didn't help either with making her feel anything besides tired and horny. Her mind easily wandered while high. Earlier, she swears she wanted to focus on the conversations between her friends, but thoughts about her enchanting neighbor continued to derail her focus. Their latest encounter had been replaying in her head for days now. Chatting away in her kitchen over some freshly made lemonade, the conversation was about how impressed Chris was with her green thumb, even if she proclaimed to be a purebred city girl. "Well my dad did grow up on a farm so he might have shown me a thing or two last time he came to visit." She glanced over at her thriving lemon tree and smiled contently, taking another sip of her hard work. "You know I need to work on my flower beds pretty soo-" She froze mid sentence as Chris's hand nonchalantly gripped her chin, turning her head to face his. He continued the conversation for her, mentioning how he'd really like to come over and learn something for himself. But his words went from one ear and out the other cause: how could she pay attention to anything else when he's looking at her lips like that. He brushed his thumb against the corner of her mouth and it took everything in her to withhold her tongue from gently licking it.   As Chris continued blabbering on about different soil or some shit , she watched him pull his thumb away with a piece of lemon pulp on it and oh, that motherfucker. Of course, he didn't have to stick that same thumb in his mouth. Why'd you suck it clean so loudly, Chris? "This lemonade is very sweet." She had to excuse herself to the bathroom. And now she's having to leave a damn party because of a warm tingle that's made home in her lower belly. "Chris! Um…Hey!" "Sweets?" The scratchiness of his voice is still throwing her off. Her imagination quickly conjured up dozens of different scenarios were he was saying other things with that same grumbling tone. Raunchier, more embarrassing things that made her squeeze her thighs closer together and feel the wet pool of silk beginning to form against her black thong. Damn, she was definitely feeling that second blunt. "Hey Chris! Sorry I'm callin' so late I know you gotta get that beauty sleep haha." Oh fuck, fuck, she was drowning before she even got a chance to swim. "Sweetheart." "And you know how you always say 'If you ever need anything, whatever it is, just give you a call.'" Impressions ? Really ? He said her name, but she rambled over him. "Well you know I drove over to a little get together at a friends place and next thing you know there were shots and a lil' bud involved. Which I know soun-" When he repeated himself more sternly, she shut her mouth. She couldn't really hear anything but rustling in the background and she pulled the screen away from her ear to make sure he was still on the call. A soft thud followed by a faint shit, and the sounds of his steps echoed into the phones speaker. "Can you do that thing where you text me your current location or just send me the address? I'm heading to come get you now." "Oh thanks Chris! I'm only a couple miles down the road on the other side of the neighborhood. Wouldn't have even called if I was far." "Don't care if you were all the way on the other side of the hills sweets. I'd still come for ya." The heat that had been nestled away in her lower stomach was beginning to spread throughout her body. Her skin feeling hot to the touch even with her thin two-piece set and cool night breeze. She mumbled a shy thanks and let him know she was texting him the address. The last thing she heard was the rumble of Chris's garage door opening and a quick promise that he'd be there soon. *** As she watched the occasional partygoer stumble their way down the driveway, she leaned against her Porsche and tapped away a random beat she hopes to remember later. The party was still very much at a ten. Laughter filled the air of the otherwise silent neighborhood followed by the heavy bass of a spontaneous beat drop. It wasn't a long wait for a black BMW to pull up in front of her, the passenger window rolling down to reveal a ruggedly handsome silver fox driver. He'd been letting his hair grow out over quarantine. Everything just long, wild, and making him even more irresistible. Sleep deprivation was obvious, but nevertheless he still had a glint in his eye that always seemed to appear when he gazed at her. "Oh excuse me ma'am are you Kapital?" She groaned at his use of her stage name and opened the passenger door, climbing in while he smirked at her sluggish movements. When she finished bulking her seatbelt, she whipped her head up to see Chris already staring back at her. More specifically, the sliver of skin exposed by the low rise of her black skirt. Her thong split apart the skin of her hipbone and she gave herself a mental pat on the back for purchasing the vintage Gucci set. The amount of zeros on the price tag had made her slightly woozy at the time, but hell, she'd buy ten more if it meant he'd always look at her like this. "Sight for sore eyes tonight." Compliments were bountiful whenever she was with Chris but never the less; they still had a way of making her feel fuzzy, small, and already she found herself clutching her thighs together once again. "Thank you and sorry again about the late night favor. Wasn't really feelin' getting a Uber just to take me a couple minutes up the road." He hummed and continued to let himself divulge in staring at her body. The sounds of people talking outside the car and loud music fell on deaf ears. She was lit ablaze by his shameless gawking, and she doesn't understand how she's not used to it by now. Has there been a time when she didn't feel this way when he looked at her? Nope, he's always made her feel like this. Locking eyes once again, he smiled at her, bringing his hand to his beard to give it a couple of strokes. "Lets get you home okay sweetheart?" A rush of heat stabbed at her groin at the nickname. "Yes please." She rested her head against the cars plush interior and the effects of the alcohol were beginning to settle into her system. Her eyelids started to feel heavy as she gazed out the passenger window, counting the streetlights. "Did you have a good time?" The question came with a massive, warm hand cupping her shoulder. The electricity from his thumb casually stroking her exposed collarbone shocked her awake. Her intense cottonmouth made it hard to spit out an answer. No big deal. Be cool. You're super fucking cool. "It was alright. Originally supposed to be a 'intimate house warming party' but ended up being a lil wilder than I'd anticipated." Chris moved his hand up higher to rest on the corner of her skin bottom of her neck where it meets her shoulder. "Good time with your friends at least?" Groaning lowly, she allowed herself to relax into the feeling of his hand and forearm against her. Chris seemed to take it as an invitation to continue and let his thumb trace the front of her neck. The digit would occasionally catch the curve of her jaw, and she closed her eyes soaking it all in. "Always love seeing them." Her words came out breathless, slurred. His touch, along with her slightly inebriated state, made it so her senses felt more like live wires. The car suddenly got stuffier and her clothes slightly tighter. "Good to hear baby." That's a new one. She knows he's only ever called her baby whenever he's had a couple glasses in his system and feeling a lil extra flirty. The slight grind forward to relieve a bit of ache in her sternum didn't go unnoticed by Chris. But just how quickly his hand appeared, it was gone.   Her eyes opened in confusion at the sound of Chris rolling down his window, and she cursed at seeing her gate illuminated by his headlights. She wanted to be stuck in that moment forever. Countless trips over had him punching in the six-digit code without hesitation. The rumbling of the gate opening paired with the casualness of his hand moving back to the steering wheel made her let out an unconscious moan, closing her eyes once again and adjusting herself in the seat. Already she missed the feeling of his hand on her body. "It's alright we're almost there." Like he'd known exactly what she was craving, his palm came to rest gently on the side of her face. His thumb instantly stroking over her cheekbone in a soothing manner. She tilted her head further into his palm and got a quick whiff of his wrist. Faint traces of his fancy cologne, clean linen, and a smell that just seemed organically Chris. Is it possible for a person to get off just from someone else's scent? The moment the car braked at the top of her driveway, she began climbing out of the suddenly suffocating vehicle. "Woah! Hey wait a second!" Stumbling, she swore at her kitten heels and tried straightening herself up as Chris abruptly appeared from the other side of her passenger door. Dammit he's fast. "Thanks again for the ride home, I really appreciate it ." They both blocked each others paths by moving in the same direction. If she wasn't being so frantic, she'd definitely find it comical. However, Chris was quickly over it and by the fourth go around had enough. His hands possessively gripped the skin of her exposed waist and held her still against the back passenger door. "Hey." He moved to grip her chin and forced her gaze to lock with his. She felt intimidated, but not in a scary way; more so in a way that gave her mind go gooey. It'd only seem to happen when it was just the two of them and tension in the air. "Hey." She mumbled back. Only he could get her to feel like this.
There was only him. "Why you tryin' to run away from me sweetheart?" "Don't wanna waste any more of your time." And failing at trying to avoid embarrassing myself beyond repair. He sucked his teeth together as if he didn't buy her confession. Utterly humiliated to have fallen into this fucked out state in front of him, she wanted to crawl away and hide. But Chris had other plans. Instead of allowing her to feel shameful, he stepped closer until the feeling of his warm rock-hard cock was pressed against her stomach. "Does this feel like my times being wasted right now?" Her eyes went wide. This definitely wasn't how she saw the night going. At most, maybe a cheeky kiss, one that lingered a little too close to her mouth. One that titters the line between friendly and something more. Nothing different about their separate days could've given any indication that this was how their night would end up. That Chris would be sandwiching her between his car and mouthwatering body while also having the audacity to chuckle in her face, enjoying her feeble attempts to grind against his impressive dick. He moved to cup her cheeks and pinch them until her lips were slightly puckered. As his half-lidded eyes looked down at her, she observed his expanded pupils and felt him loosen his grip on her cheek to allow her to answer his question. "No it doesn't." She whispered the response softly against his lips that were only a few centimeters away. So close that their breath intermingled and everything about the situation was addictive. The look in his eyes, the blacks of his pupils leaving only a ring of blue. He looked hungry, their chests began to rise and fall in unanimous succession. Anticipation in the air so thick you could taste it. No sooner did she close her eyes, ready for him to lean in and finally let her have a taste of those pillowy soft lips, did she feel him release a sigh. Then, all at once, his breath was gone and her lips grew cold. "No no no…." "Baby girl..." She could hear it in his voice. He'd made up his mind and yet sounded so torn by his own decision. She could cry. She really could fall to her knees and cry. Opening her eyes, she looked up at the older man. She could feel the her slik already accumulating against her thighs, panties beyond salvageable. She felt so stupid and she fucking hated it. And of course Chris noticed. "You know I want to." Intentional or not, he shifted, and the slight curve of his cock underneath the band of his sweats nudged the front of her pussy. Both of them let out groans that were damn near pornographic. "Oh god." She hiccuped, followed by a gasp for air, and Chris tilted his head up towards the night sky releasing a deep exhale. He mumbled something towards the stars, but she was too busy looking at the exposed skin of his stretched neck to hear him. So thick, flushed, a single vein strained at the surface and - How was she supposed to resist that? She only had to move her head a little closer to give the protruding vein a kitten lick. The air immediately left his lungs while a salacious moan slipped past his lips. Was she surprised by the hand that clasped her neck, pulling her away from his own and forcing her to stare at his disapproving face. Yes, but hell, it was totally worth it. She tried bucking her hips against his pelvis again, and he let out a dark howl. "Oh you're so going to pay for that." Surprising them both, she let out a giggle. She never fucking giggled. "Promise?" Chris slurred another curse under his breath and smashed his lips against her cheek, giving her a nice open mouth smack before pulling away and peaking at her forehead. "Come on sweets it's bed time." With her head empty and at the man's absolute mercy, she allowed Chris to led the two of them through her own house. He stopped in the kitchen and grabbed her a glass of water, then nudged her towards the stairs.   "I'm right behind you." He swears he wanted her to go first to make sure she didn't fall backwards, even if she felt his eyes laser-focused on her ass. As her bedroom came into view, she lengthened her stride and flopped right on top of her fluffy white comforter. She let out the longest sigh and watched as Chris placed the glass of water on her bedside table. "Pajamas?" He asked while gently slipping off her heels for her, giving her feet a couple of rubs. "First drawer." As Chris went to rummage through her dresser, she begrudgingly got out of bed to head to her master bathroom.
Wonder if he’ll notice the little pink set next to the t-shirts?
Finally being alone once again, she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. While cleaning herself up, she used every bit of liquid courage she had left to say what she'd been wanting to ask him since he'd picked her up. "You can stay if you want." She was met with silence and continued to wait for a response while anxiously washing off her makeup. "But that's only if you want. We ain't gotta do anything just…yeah if you want." It wouldn't be the first time Chris had stayed the night. Hell, it wouldn't be their first time sharing a bed. However, after what transpired in the driveway, now felt very different than their previous sleepovers. Deciding she'd rather face the consequences of dealing with her hair in the morning, she hesitantly walked back into the bedroom. Instead of the image of Chris preparing to head home, she was pleasantly surprised to see him already making himself comfortable in her bed. Shirtless torso hidden underneath the duvet. His droopy eyes made him look so adorable, but his dark alluring voice made her weak in the knees. "Hurry up baby I'm in the mood to cuddle. Least you can do after sending me to come get you." Whatever spell he'd casted worked, conjuring up new found energy in her drained system to hastily change and join him. "Jesus fucking christ girl." Relieved she had at least whipped away the rogue slick that previously coated the inside of her thighs. She didn't think he could probably still see the evidence on her ruined thong. "Don't look! " He barked out a laugh and tilted his head to the ceiling. "You're gonna be the death of me I swear." Quickly getting dressed into the sweats and shirt he'd picked out for her. She kept her eyes on him to make sure he didn't sneak a peek, even though she knew he wouldn't dare. "Okay all clear." He watched her chug the ceremonious glass of water and once finished, Chris pulled back the comforter with inviting arms.   "Come here." Buzzing with the anticipation of a good nights sleep, she turned off her table lamp and immediately the room flooded into darkness. Just as her knee sunk into the mattress, Chris impatient ass was already reaching for her waist and pulling her into his arms like it was nothing. She groaned into the warmness of his neck, the burn of his beard rubbing against her soft full cheeks, anchoring her to earth. One of his warm thick hands massaged gently at the back of her neck, aiding in lulling her closer to sleep. Chris's pillow soft lips rested against her forehead and he whispered promises she knew she'd have questions about in the morning. For now, though, she'd cherish the words that spilled across her skin. "I wanna take care of you." "Let me in sweetheart, I want to be there for you." "You're always on my mind, constantly worried about you baby." The tight squeeze of his other hand got her attention, his palm just so damn big as it rested against her hip. She knew she wasn't being subtle as she'd attempted to move her torso closer to his, urging his hand to slide down to rest on her ass while simultaneously wanting to grind against the hard cock she'd only got a taste of outside. But the line between perfect gentleman and utter tease was thin, and he forced her hips still before she'd even got the chance. His grip on her neck grew slightly tighter, and he'd turn his head to nip at the apple of her cheek as a warning to stop misbehaving. "Rest up baby I'll be right here in the morning." Sleep had never come faster.

Leonard can only barely make out Kirk’s face under the dim bulb, but he is pissed enough that Jim’s mug is the last thing he wants to see. The music is loud, so goddamn loud , loud enough that the whiskey did nothing for his headache.
“This is not what I had in mind when you said you knew a place,” he yells over the music, staring down the side of Kirk's face.
“What?” the captain calls back, still oblivious to Leonard's scowl. Kirk is absent, completely distracted by the crowd, more specifically the women . His gaze filters from person to person as they pass by the table, a dumb smile on his face the entire time. If steam could come out of Leonard’s ears, it would.
“I said this isn't what I had in mind for tonight.” He reaches across the table and firmly flicks his friend’s temple.
“Hey! What's your problem?” Kirk whines. Leonard is satisfied to have gotten his attention—finally.
“You said you knew a nice place– you said it was a bar!”
“Yeah and? This is both of those things!”
“This is a goddamned petri dish!”
It is. Leonard has refused to even allow his bare skin to touch the tabletop, weary of the unknown sticky substances covering it. There are so many bodies— human and otherwise— packed into the space, it's suffocating, and certainly a fire hazard. It's gross, downright unsanitary, and fucking loud.
“You’re dramatic, Bones, it's nice enough. Loosen up! Maybe try to meet somebody. We’re only in Yorktown for a day, y’know?”
Tipsy Kirk is a fucking idiot.
Leonard recoils at the idea. The captain has gained this…habit lately. This advice-giving habit where he tells Leonard to relax, to get out there, to get laid, and every time it passes through Kirk's lips, Leonard becomes nauseous. He abhors this subject, he really does. The only thing he hates talking about more than his dating life is why he doesn’t have one. Sure, he hasn't had much of one since the divorce anyway, but whatever he did have quickly reduced to nothing after meeting Sunshine. He feels so childish even mulling his thoughts over, and how it feels pointless to consider any other woman interesting since he has already met Sunshine, who is the most interesting. Interesting and pretty. Interesting and pretty and kind. He shakes his head before he starts down his mental list (again). Somedays, it feels like his feelings will swallow him whole. It has been so long since he felt it, the wanting . Wanting to talk to her all the time, or hold her hand, or just be around her. It all makes him feel so juvenile, like he’s a lovesick teenager. She makes him feel like a lovesick teenager. It is the single most frustrating thing he’d ever experienced.
“I don't wanna associate with anyone who willingly steps foot inside this shithole,” he snaps, “C’mon man, let's go.” Kirk protests, of course, even more so as Leonard grabs him by the ear and pulls him up from the chair. He tells himself he’s doing Kirk a favor, that the last thing he needs is a hookup— that he’s certainly not taking out his frustrations on his friend.
The pair weave through the bodies, with Kirk stumbling after his friend and out the door. The cool breeze hits them like a breath of fresh air, and Leonard takes it in. Kirk, on the other hand, furiously rubs his reddened ear.
“What the hell was that for? Are you out to get me tonight?”
Leonard feels a quick pang of sympathy, regretting lashing out.
“Look, I’m sorry, but that place had me sweating like a damn sinner in church, there’s other bars, and it's getting late anyways–”
Kirk would usually push it, and Leonard could tell he wants to, which makes him all the more thankful he doesn’t.
“Fine, fine, whatever but we are drinking when we get back to the ship,” he settles, leading the way home.
Yorktown is cold and downright industrial. Leonard hates it. He would usually be thankful for a pit stop if it means he can feel non-artificial gravity, but, between the dirty club and Kirk’s antagonizing, he’s ready to be spacebound again. Both the Enterprise and the USS Endeavor are in Yorktown for the night, in the process of a personnel transfer. The streets are crawling with Starfleet members.
They walk in silence for most of the way, observing the larger-than-life city and the star crafts buzzing overhead. Leonard would be lying if he said he doesn’t feel a bit empty.  Perhaps the low-lit, music-blaring monstrosity would have felt more tolerable if a certain lieutenant was with him and not stuck with the enterprise night crew.
“You know, I wouldn’t have even known that place existed if it wasn’t for Sunny,” Kirk laughs. Leonard scrunches his nose.
“She recommended that barnyard?” he scoffs.
“Oh god no, she told me to stay away from it. Said it was the grimiest place on this side of the universe. I just thought it sounded like a good time, y’know?”
Leonard stares, really stares, and wonders why he keeps expecting better of Kirk.
“You’re an idiot, and an ass. The woman gives you stellar advice, and you ignore it, and stick her with the skeleton crew.”
Kirk stops so abruptly, that Leonard stumbles over him.
“ I didn’t put her on the skeleton crew, she requested to be. You think I would make her work more than she already does? I’m not a tyrant, Bones.”
What?
“What?” Leonard says out loud. “Why would she ask to be holed up on the enterprise all leave?”
“I mean, I would too if the alternative was running into my ex and all his coworkers.”
Kirk laughs, Leonard’s head spins.
“Her ex?”
“Yeah her— she didn’t tell you any of this?”
“She said she wanted Jameson to oversee the transfer, give him more experience or something, so you put her on his night shift.”
“No? She wanted Jameson to do it because she used to be engaged to the Endeavors head of security.”
Leonard blinks. And blinks again.
“Dude, I don’t even know how to change the schedule,” Kirk adds.
Suddenly, despite talking to her everyday for close to a year, she feels unfamiliar. Engaged? He can hardly imagine it, nor does he want to. Pictures of Sunshine flash through his mind, and he clenches his fist.
“Didn’t know she had been engaged,” he feigns a casual tone.
Kirk furrows his brows.
“ You didn’t know? You of all people?” Leonard shrugs, as his stomach forms a knot. “She tells you everything, and she’s never mentioned Ryder?”
“Christ, his name is Ryder ?”
“I know! Douchebag name, right?”
He doesn’t respond for a beat, which turns into several beats. The gears in his head turn and turn. Engaged . He doesn’t understand why the idea eats at him. He himself had been married for years. So what if she was engaged? There is no reason for him to be upset that his friend—a coworker–had an ex.
He feels nauseous.
Kirk clears his throat, derailing Leonard's train of thought.
“You’re right, it’s late, we should head back,” he says, offering a reassuring smile. Leonard follows him, hands in his pockets.
“Do y’know what happened?” he asks finally. Kirk casts him a sideways glance.
“What, between them? Not a clue,” Kirk says with sincerity enough for Leonard to believe it. “She wasn’t really keen on discussing it.” He pauses and looks at the ground as they walk. “I wouldn’t worry too much about it though, Bones, I think everyone sees she’s only really got eyes for one person these days.”
“Don't start, Jim,” Leonard warns hotly, clenching his jaw.
“Start what? I’m not starting anything. I’m just laying out the facts.” Jim hiccups. “She adores you, man, like adores -”
“Sunshine ‘adores’ everyone she meets. We’re friends—good friends, but that's all.” His patience shrinks as his annoyance grows.
Jim laughs mirthlessly.
“No, Sunshine and I are good friends. Whatever you two are is something else entirely-”
“Anyone ever tell you you don't know when to shut up?” His tone is as cold as the night air, and Jim shuts up.
Leonard wishes Kirk would drop the subject, trip over a rock, or whatever it took to never have this conversation again. Really—what he truly wants is for everyone to stop dangling this hope in front of his face like a carrot. He’s not an idiot, he knows he spends more time with the lieutenant than his colleagues, hears her laugh more often, and knows her habits better.
He knows what it looks like. He also knows that he's a bitter emotionally closed-off divorcee—
He tells Jim that Sunshine is his friend because she is—and he denies wanting anything more because It's stupid to want things out of his reach.
Frustration heats his cheeks and begins to bloom into a headache. He knows Kirk means well, but that fact does little to comfort him.
“Alright, I’ll drop it,” Kirk surrenders, his voice soft. “But there is one last thing you should know,” He pauses at the crosswalk and turns to Leonard. Eerily stoic, his mouth pressed into a thin line. Leonard's breath hitched.
“Ryder’s got nothing on you in terms of looks, okay? Seriously he's like, 5’7, and his face isn't at all symmetrical-”
Leonard revs up and smacks Kirk in the back of the head harder than he ever had and feels no regret. Not even after Kirk's high-pitched “ Ouch!”
“Would you quit it! You gossip like a damn schoolgirl!”
The sign blinks at them to walk, and Leonard drags Kirk across the street, fingers digging into his arm.
“Ow, ow, I was just saying-“
“Wait a minute,” Leonard lets his friend go and smooths down his sleeve. “How do you know what he looks like anyway?”
Kirk puts himself at a safe distance from the Doctor, cradling his arm. “Well, the operations manager would usually talk to the department heads during a transfer, but Sunshine passed him off to me. I said no at first, obviously, because I hate managing, but then she finally told me she was almost Mrs. Ryder Denver. So yeah, I spoke with him a few times, just business. Have to say though, I couldn't imagine them together. He comes off as a bit of a douche.”
Leonard breathes deeply, reigning in the emotions that he doesn’t need Kirk to pick up on. The idea of Sunshine being engaged does enough to unsettle him without knowing that the man in question “ came off as a douche” . He feels something boil under the surface.
“Yeah?” is all he can strangle out.
“Yeah—He’s like a classic douchey security buff,” Kirk continues, unaware of his friend's white knuckles. “You know the kind– uptight, condescending, has one earring and thinks it's edgy-”
“Wears their uniform a size too small? Yeah, I know the type.”
“Exactly, and Sunshine is so…so-”
“Heart-of-gold?”
“Yeah! Opposites attract I guess, but I don't know, something was off.”
To Leonard, the entire thing is off. All of it. Everything . He doesn’t understand why Sunshine decided he doesn’t get to know, why it is a secret in the first place, why she almost married a douche, why he cares so damn much .
The enterprise comes into view like the sun on the horizon, and Leonard is relieved .
“Your arm’s all right?” Leonard asks, an apology without apologizing. Jim knows this and breathes a laugh.
“Yup, the ear’s fine too.”
The Doctor nods, but his eyes remain trained in front of him. Through the glass window panes, he eyes the ship, eager to hide away in the familiar place. He would have opened the door for Kirk, as a gesture, but of course, the Yorktown Federation Port has to have automatic doors. He huffs, and the artificial lights illuminate his red cheeks. They approach their home in silent tandem, their shoes clinking against the hard floors.
“You should talk to her, Bones,” Kirk breaks the quiet, head down while he taps the access code to the enterprise hull. “Ask her why she didn't mention the ex. I’m sure she has a good reason, probably one you'll wanna hear.”
Leonard wants to be mean. He wants to shake Kirk's words off with an insult and go to bed. But he swallows his pride, and it goes down like nails.
“Yeah. Maybe.”
Hope. It bubbles up within his chest, and he pushes it down. Finally, the stark white enterprise interior greets him. He breathes a little easier.
Kirk stumbles over the first step— “ Woah ”-- and Leonard steadies him with a raised eyebrow. “Andorian ale finally catching up with you?”
“Pfft,” Kirk scoffs. “Couldn’t catch me if it tried.”
Leonard pauses, then laughs, the first genuine one all night, and it has Kirk grinning back.
The enterprise is empty, its residents still on the streets they just returned from. So, without restraint, they laugh, and Kirk stumbles, and Leonard forgets for a moment about the unsaid feelings under his skin.
Kirk is an idiot, and he’s a good friend.
He’s happy to banter about whatever comes out of Kirk's drunk mouth and to correct him when he takes a wrong turn in his own ship. Leonard claps his hand on his shoulder and drawls, “It’s this way, captain .”
“Uhh, no , Chekov keeps the good whiskey in his locker, this way,” Kirk insists with a point down the hallway, and Leonard is amazed at his eagerness to get blacked out the night before embarking.
“Are you out of your mind? No way. You can drink like a fish when you don't need to fly a starship in the morning.”
“What are you, my mom ?”
Christ.
“No, but I pity the poor woman,” he huffs and gestures down the hallway leading to his quarters. Kirk frowns and scrunches his nose.
“Raincheck, Kirk, c’mon.”
He begrudgingly obliges, having given his friend a hard enough time tonight anyway. The yawn that crawls out of his mouth a moment later corroborates Leonard's decision. He is tired, and Kirk shouldn't drink anymore, but he’d be lying if he said those were his only motives to end the night early.
“You win this one, Bones, but next time I swear we'll be out till sunrise,” he says between another yawn and a hiccup.
“Uh-huh. Try not to trip.” Leonard reminds himself of the virtue of patience and keeps walking.
Kirk manages to type in his room's access code all by himself, with only a moment of squinting, and a break to roll up the black sleeves of his turtleneck. Leonard is impressed, and the bar is low.
“Drink a bottle of water, and get some sleep, We’ll talk tomorrow.” he crosses his arms over his chest and waits for protest.
Kirk only hums. “You headed to your room?”
The doctor's fingers drum against the doorframe. “Was thinking I’d check in on Sunshine,” he says, blinks, and rushes out, “and the rest of the Skeleton crew, of course.  Maybe medbay too, then I’ll hit the hay.” He fleetingly wonders if that sounds believable, or at least casual.
Kirk smiles a genuine smile. “Sounds like a good plan, Bones. See ya in the morning, and tell her I said hi .” Before he can react, his friend waves, and the door slides shut. Then, he’s alone in the hallways, and he has to put his money where his mouth is.
Shit .
The way to the bridge feels daunting now, like climbing Everest. Like climbing Everest with the shittiest rope ever. Like climbing Everest with the shittiest rope ever, several pounds of emotional baggage, and a Starfleet captain breathing down his neck.  He considers just going to bed, pretending he never even mentioned the whole thing. Maybe even pretend he doesn't care to get answers. He can just leave it be.
The desire to see her trumps all of it.
The halls are deserted, which he’s thankful for. He doesn’t need anyone around to watch him squirm in the elevator. A deep breath, a punch of the open elevator button and—
“I told you I don't have any threes! Go fish, again .”
He sees the back of the captain's chair first, then Starfleet-issued black boots hanging off of it. The whoosh of the door draws the attention of the room to him. Eyes sweep through the vaguely familiar faces of the night crew, all six staring at him like they are waiting for an explanation, which he doesn’t really have. The heeled black boots plant themselves on the ground, the captain's seat swivels around. His heart works double time.
“ Leonard ? Hi! What are you doing here?”
Sunshine’s got a hand of cards between her pointer and her thumb, and a sweatshirt pulled over her uniform dress, and it distracts Leonard for longer than it should. He clears his throat, and it shakes loose the feelings stuck there.
“Just thought I'd check in on our hard working night crew, who is surely on task.” He descends the bridge steps.
“Well, then, you'll be happy to hear that I am, in fact, glancing at my station every 20 minutes, and I’m the undefeated go-fish champion.”
She waves the cards at herself like a fan, legs crossed and smile wide.
“Undefeated, huh? Glad to see your talents going to good use.” Her smile gets a bit brighter, and she does a quick breathy laugh with her nose. For a moment there's quiet, and Leonard begins scrambling for a way to ask her the thing he wants to ask her. The bridge is crowded, for a skeleton crew, he thinks. The redshirt to Sunshine’s left breaks the silence before he can.
“I’m not sure if I’d call it talent…I’m pretty sure she's cheating,” they grumble, and Sunshine doesn't spare a moment, whipping the chair around. He can almost see the panic fill her eyes, like she’s just been accused of a heinous crime.
“I’m not! Are you still thinking about that last round? Because that was—”
Even Leonard winces a bit at her shrill tone, and he’s pretty sure she just woke the navigator who had fallen asleep at his station, so he claps his hands on her shoulders.
“Sounds to me like this card game has you wound like a spring,” he interrupts her before her voice jostles anyone else awake.
She pouts, lip jutted out and everything.
“Let's go for a walk,” he suggests. He doesn’t even let his nerves talk him out of it. She looks at him curiously, her eyebrows drawn.
“I dunno, I probably shouldn’t leave…”
“I’m sure someone else can deal cards while you’re gone,” he tells her, already offering his arm.
The Ensign, Leonard still doesn’t know their name, waves her off. “Go, Lieutenant, It's fine. I’m sure we can handle a few minutes without you.”
She bites her lip and cautiously loops her arm around his, leaving the captain's chair to her subordinate.
“Alright, but don’t start a new game without me,” she warns lightly.
Leonard doesn’t get nervous with her arm looped around his, really he doesn’t. He’s headfirst into this thing now, no room for nerves.
She drinks her whiskey neat, he learns, and it surprises him. Surprises him even more when she downs it like a shot.
The walk there had been quiet mostly, except for when Sunshine regaled the stories of her card game wins.
“Did you have a nice time with Kirk?” she asks politely.
“I dunno if I’d say that, but maybe Jim would disagree.”
She laughs lightly, and her finger traces the lip of the whiskey glass. He doesn’t know if it’s the best idea, but he refills her cup.
There is a beat of silence, and the conversation with Kirk pushes to the front of his thoughts. There's a heaviness on the tip of his tongue, the desire to ask why . Without really knowing how to.
“Wish I could’ve gone with you guys,” she says, her gaze downcast. There's a rare melancholy to her tone, something vulnerable woven into it.
“You could’ve,” he tells her, and her eyes pull from the table.
“I had--”
“Yeah, I know what you– I just mean–I’m sure Kirk would have given you the night off if you asked… God knows he owes you enough favors.”
“I guess,” she shrugs, “it wasn’t really the best night for it, though.”
He could go along with her lame excuse, vaguely agreeing that, yeah, there will be other nights. But the ache to know what exactly goes on in her pretty head has words tumbling out of his mouth.
“Yeah, Kirk mentioned somethin’ like that,” he mumbles, nerves permeating the sentence.
“...what?”
Shit.
“I mean, he may have-”
“What exactly did he mention?” Her tone holds a sharp undercurrent of something rare for Sunshine– anger.
Leonard runs a hand down his face, suddenly thinking of all the much more tactful ways he could have begun this. The gentle buzz of alcohol still in his bloodstream keeps him from panicking.
“Nothing terrible, just that there was someone in town you wouldn’t wanna see.”
“As if ,” she scoffs. “Kirk’s never been that vague in his life.”
“…fair enough.”
She groans miserably, fitfully pulling the sleeves of her sweater over her hands and burying her face in the fabric.
“You were not supposed to find out like this,” she says, muffled.
“And how was I supposed to find out?” He asks quietly, like the question will frighten her away.
A sniffle comes from behind her hands–the sound tugs at his heart.
“ I don't know. Maybe someone could have told you when I’m dead and then we’d never have to have this conversation.”
He reaches for her slowly, taking her wrists in a gentle hold and pulling them away from her face, revealing her reddened nose and watery eyes. Her hands are cold, and grow stiff under his touch.
“Sunshine. It's an ex , not a damn intergalactic scandal. There are worse conversations to have,” he reasons.
“You don't get it,” she tells him matter-of-factly, pulling her hands from his touch. Embarrassment quickly heats his body, and he wipes his palms on his pants.
“I’d get it a lot more if you talked about it.” He flexes his jaw, frustration bleeding into his voice.
She narrows her eyes, punctuating her glare with a sniffle.
“If I wanted to talk about it, I would’ve.”
“With Kirk? Because he seems to get it.”
“Why are you acting so—”
“Concerned? Oh, I dunno because you’re my friend?” Exasperation colors his tone.
“I was gonna say entitled,” she grits out. Her anger comes out half-heartedly, sounding more like watery sadness than anything. “I don't tell you everything, and I don't have to. You’re not my-” She sighs. “Why does it matter? I was engaged for like, a year, and now, I’m not.”
You’re not my–
Her half sentence sticks in his mind and sends blood rushing to his head. He thinks of all the things that he is to her: a colleague, a doctor, a friend. All the things he isn’t feels like a gaping hole.
He watches her clench her fists and force her tears back.
“It matters because it upsets you enough to work the night shift,” he sighs, the anger he’s been holding seeps out of his hands like water. “I’m not pressing you for the latest gossip, Sunny. I’m asking because it would be lousy of me not to.”
She says nothing, taking in his words.
“I’m no stranger to this stuff, y’know,” he prods her gently. “My ex-wife sent me running all the way to space .” He says lightly, and the corners of her mouth twitch up briefly.
“He didn't send me running, I sent him,” she confesses, shaking her head.
“ You ?”
“Me. The thing is,” she shrugs, “it should have worked, y’know? Like on paper, it was perfect. Ryder and I were academy sweethearts, liked all the same shit, were top of our classes, blah, blah, blah.” She rolls her eyes. “Our friends used to tease us, say that it wasn't fair, and we were too in love.”
“Sounds nice.”
“It does, doesn’t it?” she says, sighing. Her eyes drift nowhere in particular. “It didn’t feel nice after a while though. It felt suffocating. I was half a person with him, we were Ryder and Sunshine–and that was one entity.” Her tears dry on her lashes, as she becomes entrenched in the memory.
“But the person we were wasn’t me . Because he never thought my jokes were funny, or my hobbies were interesting or my friends were cool, so I was willing to throw them all out. Eventually all that was left was him. His ideas, his wants, his needs. I was backed into a corner. I should’ve left when I realized but I loved him… and I was really scared of being alone.”
She pushes her hair behind her ears and lets out a shaky breath.
“I was a coward, and I couldn’t leave. I wanted to try and fix it, figure out who I was, and then maybe Ryder could love that person,” She shakes her head. “I was naive. Ryder always wanted someone I couldn’t be. Someone quieter or someone better at being a person. I’m always so all over the place you know? Too much for him.”
“You’re not–”
“It's okay, Len, you don't have to say anything.” she says, meeting his eyes again, taming the budding fire in his heart.
The idea of Sunshine being anything but completely herself unnerves him. Her jokes are funny, he can’t recall ever laughing as much before she boarded the enterprise. Her ramblings about xenobotany and classic earth songs never fail to catch his attention, even when he barely knows what she's talking about. Being around Sunshine is as easy as breathing, and he’s starting to need it as much too.
“Anyways, he proposed our senior year, like we weren’t a sinking ship, and I said yes and pretended like the ring wasn’t a last-ditch attempt to bring us back to life.”
Her teeth sink into her lip, her eyes dragging to her lap.
“I don't know what it was, but one night I just…broke. I couldn’t keep pretending to be someone I wasn’t, or beg to be loved.”
A few tears slide down her cheeks, she scrubs them away with her sleeve.
Leonard wants to tell her that she should never have to beg for anything in the first place, least of all love; he wants to tell her that she's worthy just the way she is. His fingers twitch with the desire to take her by the shoulders and tell her over and over that she’s perfect, that she couldn’t be too much if she tried. Sunshine has always had a magnetic pull to her, drawing in everyone she meets with her warmth. The idea of anyone taking that away from her pulls his heartstrings tight enough to snap. He holds back his anger, refraining from telling her that Ryder is an asshole who didn’t deserve a second of her time.
The wiser part of him knows that's not what he needs.
“We had planned to be on the USS Endeavor together, but I rescinded my application. I signed up to do on-planet research instead. I wrote a long letter, left it on our bed, packed up my things, and left.”
She coughs in a way that he knows is covering up a sob and takes a deep breath. The sound sends a pang of emotion through him.
“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever done. We were engaged, for Christ's sake, and I couldn’t even look him in the eye when I left him. And don’t even get me started on the fallout. We had all the same friends, and our families were so close… it was all so humiliating . Everyone expected us to live happily ever after, and then, there I was, giving him back his ring in a coffee shop.”
She knocks back the rest of her drink, like a consolation prize for getting all the words out.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, Len. I never wanted you to think of me like that, as someone who would do that.”
“ Sweetheart ,” he says like a plea, calling her attention. “No one in their right mind would think differently of you for leaving something that wasn’t good for you– or at least they shouldn’t.”
She's shaking her head before he finishes his sentence.
“But I–”
“I know. You didn’t go about it the way you maybe should’ve– or the way you wanted to. It doesn’t make you a bad person, it doesn’t make you any less… good.”
She hiccups, her chest rising and falling rapidly as another stream of tears drips down her cheeks. He can't help himself – and even if he could, he doesn’t want to – he brings both hands to her cheeks, wiping away the salty tears.
“It's alright,” he says gently, swiping his thumb under her eye again. “You’re alright.”
She nods, breaths finally evening out, and his hands reluctantly fall back onto his lap.
He remembers well the storm of feelings his divorce left him with. The gulit, the lonliness, feeling like the world was ending.
“I get it, y’know. The shitty relationship, becoming somebody you don't wanna be,” the barstool squeaks as he leans on the counter. He hasn't talked about his marriage since he told the story to Kirk years ago. It feels odd to tell it again.
“My ex and I met in college, fell head over heels, and I proposed a year later. I thought… well, we both thought we were soulmates. There was this connection between us that I’d never felt before, and I thought this must be it.”
“After a year ?” she gawks. He casts her a sideways glance and chuckles.
“A perfect year, mind you. Not a single disagreement, not a bad date– every day was straight out of a damn love story or something. Until we got hitched, that is. Then it was all disagreements.”
He anxiously taps a rhythm on the bar top. The memory still burns him now, of the fiery conflict, of the sleepless nights.
“We were the same in all the worst ways, stubborn, headstrong, prideful. We couldn't settle an argument to save our lives. It probably didn't help that I was in the middle of residency and pulling 100-hour weeks. It was miserable. I hardly recognized myself… I know I don’t have the best temper, but I never wanted to be an angry person.”
He lets out a slow breath, “I was mad as hell when she called it quits, said a lot of stuff I regret. But she was right to do it. We brought out the worst in each other, I was just too narrow-minded to see it. All this to say, I’m sure I would have taken the night shift to avoid her too.”
Sunshine rests a comforting hand on his shoulder, her thumb pressing circles into the muscle.
“I’m sorry, Len.”
He leans into her touch without thinking about it. “These things happen,” he tells her decidedly. “When something’s not right, there's nothing you can do to change that. You do the best you can with where you’re at, that's all.” He pictures himself, young and full of fire, holding onto something that had already slipped away. “Which you did, Sunshine. I know it’s hard to see now, but I promise it gets easier.”
When he drags his gaze from the mahogany bar top back to Sunshine, she's watching him curiously.
“What am I supposed to see?”
“That you were young, and scared, and you did what you needed to for yourself. Even if it's not shit you’re proud of, it makes you who you are. You learn, and it makes you better.”
She says nothing, silently considering his words for several moments. “Well, it better get easier soon, because it sucks .”
He chuckles, “That it does.”
She reaches right past him and grabs the half-empty bottle of whiskey.
“We should toast,” she says, the melancholy in her voice fading away, probably tucked back behind a wall. “To failed marriages.”
She’s already refilling their glasses and lifting hers to bump with his.
“Thought you ducked out on the whole wedding thing?” he teases.
“Fine then, to failed romantics,” she impatiently shakes the ice in her glass, “Just do it.”
He knocks his glass with hers and agrees, “To failed romantics, and night shifts, and all the other shitty stuff.”
Her face pinches as she finishes her drink. Gingerly, she takes both of their glasses and stacks them behind the bar.
Like ripping a bandage off and letting the wound breathe, Leonard feels lighter. As Sunshine hops off the bar stool and straightens her uniform skirt, he can see on her face that she does too.
“Thank you for the drink, and the talk, Len,” she says, and he waves her off.
“Don't mention it.”
“ Totally gonna mention it,” she grins, “and when the schedule suddenly gives you two days off in a row, you’ll know why.”
He laughs, and shakes his head, “I don’t think that's allowed, Lieutenant.”
“I have my ways,” she says innocently, as she saunters to the door.
He watches her go, everything she’s told him still buzzing in his head. He can hardly make sense of everything he’s feeling at once, but there's one thought that sticks out among the rest, that sits on his chest, demanding to be heard.
“Sunshine?” he calls before she’s gone, giving into his relentless mind.
“Yeah?”
When she turns around, he’s flooded with everything he’s ever wanted to tell her. How she has seeped into every part of his life since he met her, despite his once armored heart. How she doesn’t see it, but she's changed the entire atmosphere of the bridge, pouring life into it with her energy. How she's taught him how to be a better friend, a better man, even a better doctor. How she’s not too much, she's everything.
“You should know, you’re never too much, that's ridiculous. Anyone on this ship would agree in a heartbeat. Don’t know what I’d– what we’d do without you,” he rushes out. “I hope you never think you need to be anything other than who you are.”
She goes still in the door frame and observes him for a moment. He flounders in her silence, wondering if he should have just kept his mouth shut. She suddenly moves from the doorway, quickly striding towards him, the sound of her boots clacking on the floor. He has no time to react before she gently places her hand on his chest. She wastes no time, leaning down and pressing a warm kiss to his cheek.
“Thank you,” she says meaningfully, searching his eyes for a brief moment before she turns heel again. She’s out the door without him even mustering up a word to say.
His skin heats where her lips had touched him, a crackling feeling left in their place. He lifts his fingers to the skin, ghosting over the sticky remnants of her lipgloss.
He sits, dumbfounded, knowing he’s gone somewhere there's no coming back from.

Jack Shit | Part 3
Summary: In which you and Jack have invited the neighborhood over for a little party.
And not one thing goes to plan.
Tumblr media
Jack makes it too goddamn easy.
In fact, you almost feel bad for how effortlessly ruined he becomes the moment you take the control away from him. How desperate. How depraved.
Sure, you both like to tease each other. Like to push the other as far as they can possibly go. And maybe you’ll feel bad about it later, but tonight…no, tonight he gets to play your game.
Tonight, he gets to watch Frank’s hands…on your body.
This hadn’t been the plan. Not originally, anyhow.
But Jack just had to push. He just had to tease you in the bathroom before your guests arrived for the party just to leave you unsatisfied.
He just had to create this No Touching Rule of his.
No touching each other. Not touching yourselves.
It was ludacris, and cruel, and everything you expected from him.
But you refused to lose.
No. No, you were going to beat him at his own game, no matter how hard it proved to be.
And my god was it hard.
The evening started innocently enough, but even with this drive to win, you couldn’t keep yourself from gawking at your husband.
Because…how could you not? With the way he was leaning against the wall as he talked to Dean, a cigar in one hand, and a scotch in the other.
The way he’d rolled the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows. The way he’d loosened his tie from around his neck. The way he’d run a hand through his hair before tossing you a wink and a grin.
It was sadistic.
And you’d tried to punish him for it. You’d cross your legs and let the hemline of your outfit ride up to your thighs. You’d swept your perfectly styled hair over your shoulder so he could catch a glimpse of your backless dress. You’d brushed your thumb across your lip to gather the extra whipped cream before sucking it into your mouth.
And it was working. You could see it was working. You could see his resolve crumble as he took a seat on the sofa across from you. Just out of reach.
Because even he knew the proximity would be dangerous for you both.
The rest of the couples around the living room carried on in conversation as you and Jack prepared for a showdown.
He thought he had the upper hand. Thought he knew you, and what it would take to break you.
But unbeknownst to him…you knew him far better.
With a sly smirk, he threw his arm across the back of the couch and leveled his stare with yours.
So, you did the same. You slide your hand across the cushions until your arm could dangle over the back.
He ran his tongue over his bottom lip in thought.
You ran your tongue over your bottom lip with pride.
He relaxed back into his seat to get comfortable, legs spreading in an effort to appear nonchalant.
And with absolute glee, you followed suit, heels sliding across the carpet until your thighs parted, and your dress rode up to your thighs.
You then watched the exact moment he realized you weren’t wearing any underwear.
Nobody else in the room seemed to notice. Nobody else would really even care, but it didn’t matter because Jack looked like he was about to swallow his tongue.
And you were so goddamn proud.
Of course, you weren’t just doing it for him. You were doing it for everybody else in Victory who thought they had some sort of claim over him.
Because he’s your leading man.
Not Bunny’s, not Shelley’s, not Peg’s.
Yours.
You had half a mind to stride across the room and start riding him just to prove your point, but settled for placing your hand on your leg.
You started slow, allowing your fingers to dance leisurely across the soft skin of your inner thigh.
And you watched as Jack did his best to remain indifferent. Had it been any other night, you don’t imagine he would have stopped you. After all, he knows how much you liked to be watched. Teases you about it constantly whenever you insist on leaving the curtains open so the neighbors can watch him press you up against the sliding glass door.
But tonight…no, tonight he wanted you to obey.
And all you wanted…was to slip your hand beneath your dress and give him a little show.
In fact, you were moments away from doing just that when you noticed his eyebrow raise as he met your eye, and mouthed one very specific command:
No.
No.
No, you weren’t allowed to touch yourself. No, you weren’t allowed to do this to him. No, you wouldn’t be getting away with this little act, and he was gonna make damn sure of it later.
And with this fevervant request so strictly demanded of you…what else were you to do?
You shot him your best and most innocent smile before standing to your feet…and declaring the party to be over.
Jack saw right through your charade, smirking to himself as you ushered everybody out, but much to your dismay…Frank decided to linger.
He caught Jack in a conversation about the remodel they were planning, halting your attempt at getting Jack alone. And therefore forcing you to squirm a few feet away as you silently begged Jack to tell him to just fuck off.
But they continued to chat for the next fifteen minutes or so until you three were the only ones left in the house.
And then…something shifted.
Fever by Elvis Presley was next on the record still spinning near the window, and the moment Frank recognized the song, a certain gleam found its way to his eye.
“Oh, I do love this song,” he mused as Jack nodded his agreement. “Say…you wouldn’t mind if I snuck a dance with the lady, would you?”
A bit surprised, Jack shook his head no, allowing Frank to step away from the discussion to turn to you.
A cautious breath caught in your throat as he extended his hand and silently beckoned you closer.
Left with no other choice but to oblige, you smoothed your palm along his as he grinned and led you toward the middle of the living room floor.
It started slow. Easy. Frank was gentle with you and took note of your apprehension as Jack returned to the sofa he had previously been on.
The room was oddly silent, save for the music. And as Elvis crooned the lyrics, you couldn’t help but steal a glance at your husband.
He was sat on the couch, just as relaxed as he’d been before, if not a bit more smug. And he watched you. He watched Frank put his hand on your hip while you placed your fingers on the back of Frank’s neck. He watched Frank tug you closer, your body flush with his. He watched the way Frank watched you.
“Never know how much I love you…never know how much I care.”
You did your best to focus in on the lyrics instead of the striking blue eyes so intent on studying you.
Frank had a tendency to do that. He liked to make people squirm. Make them feel noticed. Make them aware of just how badly they wanted his approval.
You’d hardly cared before but suddenly, there in his arms…you found that you were desperate to please him. Almost as desperate as everybody else in Victory.
Perhaps it was his charm. His effortless ability to draw the attention directly to him. Lure you into his intentions.
After all, one look at him would certainly sweep somebody off their feet. His uniquely appealing features. His deep, authoritative voice. His strong hands…
He held onto you tight. It felt sturdy. Safe, even. And he seemed to like the way your breath would hitch everytime he tugged you closer.
“When you put your arms around me…I get a fever that’s so hard to bear.”
You couldn’t help but wonder what the rest of the couples would think if they were still here. If they could be witness to this rather odd turn of events.
You imagined the ladies would be flabbergasted, perhaps even envious of the fact that you were the sole owner of Frank’s attention.
And the men…well, the men would most definitely be jealous. You knew they’d all kill for the chance to dance with Frank and earn his approval, and truth be told, the thought made you smile.
And Jack?
Well, Jack was getting a lot easier to read.
You knew he strived for Frank’s blessing. Why, you weren’t quite sure, but you did understand that you had somehow won the game without even trying.
And now, here you are, getting to revel in your success as Jack silently stews from his spot only inches away.
He’s being forced to watch his boss dance with his wife, and you can clearly see the struggle on his face.
He’s torn between feeling anxious…and so fucking horny.
He’s looking at you like you’re sex on a stick. Looking at you like he never knew pleasure before you. Looking at you like he’s moments away from standing up and just taking you, Frank be damned.
You kind of wish he would.
“Everybody’s…got the fever. That is something you all know. Fever isn’t…such a new thing. Fever started long ago…”
And Frank seems to be having the time of his life as he twirls you underneath his arm before dipping you down, large palm slipping up your bare spine to keep you steady.
And then, his touch falls just past your hip to your leg, pulling at your thigh until he can hook it onto his waist, forcing you closer as your nose brushes his.
You can see Jack revering you both, absolutely wonderstruck by the power you both possess, and you wonder if this display of dominance from Frank is for Jack’s benefit.
But Frank doesn’t seem to care about what Jack thinks.
He only wants to hear from you.
He leans closer, cheek grazing yours as you settle back between his arms, body swaying to the sensual song.
You hear him smile as he prepares himself for the question he’s been dying to ask. “Did you enjoy yourself this evening?”
A bit flustered, you nod. “I did. Did you?”
He offers a soft, gentle chuckle as his fingers tap along your skin contemplatively. “I believe I did. Although, I must admit, I was surprised to get an invite.”
Your brow raises, and you catch another glimpse of Jack just over Frank’s shoulder. “Oh? Why is that?”
“Well…you and Jack don’t tend to do a lot of entertaining,” Frank points out, and you have to admit that he’s right. “I was almost convinced you didn’t like me.”
Despite yourself, you feel your body go rigid in his hold. The last thing you want to do is upset the leader of Victory, so you rush to clear the air.
“Oh, don’t be silly.” You force a laugh. “We adore you, Frank. Everybody adores you.”
He leans back to catch your eye. “Is that right?”
You nod again.
“Well, I suppose I should be flattered, then,” he continues, pausing only to twirl you beneath his arm before guiding you back to him, “that you would both take the time out of your…busy schedules to invite me here tonight. Invite all of us.”
He’s hinting at something but you aren’t sure what.
He begins to smile, tongue slipping over his bottom lip before he dips down to ghost his mouth near your ear. “You really should consider closing the curtains.”
You feel your face flush as he pulls back, already resuming with the dance.
You aren’t sure what to say. You figured somebody would see you at some point, you just…hadn’t expected it to be Frank.
“I suppose there was a better way to tell you,” he finally adds after a moment, still exceedingly amused by your shock. “And, I will admit…I probably should have looked away.”
Your heart is pounding inside your chest, but you can’t quite tell why. Are you nervous? Embarrassed?
Enthralled?
“But for some reason, when it comes to you…” he mumbles, once again meeting your eye. “...I can never seem to find...the strength.”
You feel the air dissipate from your lungs.
You don’t think Jack heard him. Hell, you aren’t even sure you heard him. Because there is absolutely no fucking way the most powerful man in Victory just divulged his weakness to you.
Absolutely no goddamn way he just put his power in your hands.
“And I always have to ask myself…if you’re doing it just for him,” Frank carries on, refusing you a moment to catch your breath. “Or if you’re truly enjoying what Victory has to offer you.”
There’s a rather tense beat.
“What I…could offer you,” he amends, and your mind reels as you find yourself in Jack’s line of vision once again.
You can see he’s quizzical of what’s being said, but he makes no move to ask or even come closer.
You wonder if you still want him to.
“Because you’re always so good…aren’t you?” Frank adds. “Always take care of us. Always make sure the house is clean, the food is perfect…that your body is ready and available.”
Now, his hand slips from your back to your ass, subtle enough to fly under the radar of your husband, but pointed enough that your lashes flutter.
He stills, allowing you time to stop him. Allowing you time to push him away. Reject him.
But you don’t.
You don’t think you want to.
“And while you’re being so good taking care of us…” he whispers as the song comes to an end. “Who...is taking care…of you?”
The room falls silent as Elvis’s voice fades away, and Frank allows his question to settle before he’s offering you a wink and pulling himself out of your hands.
The room is spinning. Flying. Your chest rises and falls beneath your silk dress as you turn to Jack.
Jack leans forward, elbows on his knees as his attention moves to Frank. “Did you ask her?”
Fuck.
“Not quite,” Frank answers, and your head whips between them both. “Wanted to feel her out first. See if she’d…respond.”
Jack begins to smirk as he looks at you. “And did she?”
Frank makes a satisfied noise deep within the back of his throat as he nods once. “She did. Very well.”
You believe you understand what’s being implied but…you aren’t sure you can even believe…that this…is happening…to you…and Jack…and Frank—
Jack stands to his feet and moves for you, hand coming up to slide along your jaw and encourage your eyes on his.
His thumb strokes your cheek rather delicately given the malicious intention in his eye as he watches you swallow thickly. “So?” he murmurs, dipping down to brush his lips against yours. “What do you say, Angel?”
The decision suddenly falls to you as Frank and Jack dedicate their night and their pleasure to your will.
It takes you exactly 0.2 seconds to decide.
“I say…on your fucking knees, darling.”

Listen...I was playing the Elvis movie version of Craw-Fever and immediately saw Frank dancing with somebody as Jack watched...and then...I believe I immediately blacked out.
So...listen to that song while you read if you want, and get ready for part 4 soon cause I think I made myself a little crazy 🙃

Crash the Wedding, Kidnap the Bride, Simple Plan
Edgin x Female Reader
I watched this movie back in April okay? Don’t hate me lmao
I shook my head, feeling the emotions overwhelm me. I wanted to cry so badly, but I had to stand strong.
I made a promise. I couldn’t break it, but still...
I wanted to be with my real family, not this one that makes plans for me. I am a Princess, and I could never be a free soul, even as I learned the ways of becoming a cleric. I still had to say goodbye to Doric, to Simon, Holga, Kira and Edgin.
Edgin.
I hated myself for it. The heartbroken yet surprised looks they had all given me for revealing who I was, who I truly was.
The large white gown stood like a creampuff around me. I anted to tear it all off, but I stood still as my handmaidens placed on my tiara and my veil, handing me the bouquet full of daisies. I looked in the mirror and saw the necklace that I had to hide soon.
A necklace in the shape of a forget-me-not. My favourite flower.
I still hated myself for falling for the bard. The thief, the father of the little girl who I began to consider as my own.
Why did I have to fall for Edgin of all people?
“Your Majesty,” I turned to a guard who nodded his head, “It’s time.”
My time as a maiden was almost up. Soon, I was to be wed to the Prince of another nearby kingdom. One I despised.
I felt my heart ache as I slowly made my way towards the great hall. I had to fight the urge to cry. I was doing this for my kingdom. For my people. I would lose my happiness for everyone I held dear, doing everything they wanted.
But for now, I could only smile as I gently touch the necklace before going, taking in the feeling of freedom for only a little bit longer before it completely slips through my fingers.
***************
I was walking down the aisle, my veil hiding my look of defeat. I could see him there, smiling as if I were a prize to be won. I bit my lip as I finally made my way towards him, gently stepping on the podium. The priest was there, and I felt my freedom slowly slip away. I couldn’t hear the priest, I couldn’t focus on the prince before me, all I thought about was Edgin. His sweet, bright colourful and full of mischief eyes. Edgin, the bard who sang to me when I needed it, the man who showed me true freedom, who I had chased away after I revealed my identity to protect them.
Edgin, the man I wanted to actually marry.
“If anyone objects to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace...
“I OBJECT!”
My eyes turned and I saw him there, the doors falling closed behind him, throwing him forward. I swore I heard him mutter something along the lines of “that wasn’t how I planned it but sure I guess”. He then looked up to me, and I felt my heart race at the look he gave me. “I object to this wedding.”
I didn’t dare fight the smile that slowly creeped up on my lips, even as my eyes held worry as I stared, “Edgin, what are you-?”
“I don’t want you to marry anyone, Y/n,” he began softly, making his way to me as I slowly got down to meet him halfway, holding his face in my hands. He continued, “I only want you to marry me, because you’ve made me so happy in ways I thought I’d never feel again. I want to be by your side, and I want you by mine, because I love you, Y/n/n. You matter so much to me.”
I smiled, a stray tear falling down my cheek, “I love you too, Edgin.”
I wanted to kiss him, but I felt myself get ripped away from his hold. “Edgin - NO! EDGIN!”
He outstretched a hand to reach me, but the guards pulled us away from each other, and I couldn’t help but thrash against them. I was brought to stand with my betrothed as Edgin was held by the guards, looking at my father. “You - YOU BARD! I told you to leave my daughter alone!”
“You are a thief!” The prince cried out, “Trying to steal my bride!”
Edgin only smirked, “I confess: I am a bard, a talented, good-looking one, and I confess that yes, I am a thief, but I didn’t try to steal your bride. I already stole her heart,” his eyes met mine with a mischievous glint, “So it’s only fair I steal the rest of her from you.”
I looked up and saw Simon and Holga and before I knew it, chaos was everywhere. My hand was caught and then dragged away, and I only saw the giant distractions they added, including smoke and thievery of jewels. I looked up to see who held my hand, smiling as I realised it was Edgin. I paused only to rip off the giant skirt and continued running with him. Keeping a fair distance, I saw the horses and quickly jumped up, grabbing the reins as I settled into the seat and galloped away from the church. I saw Simon and Holga catching up, and I laughed, letting out a yell of delight.
I was free.
I turned to look at Edgin with a giant grin on my face after we slowed to a walk. His smile mirrored mine.
We soon reached the house where I saw Doric and Kira. I happily jumped off the horse and ran to an already sprinting Kira, throwing herself in my arms. I smiled and picked her up. “Hey kiddo.”
She squeezed me even tighter, and I felt tears running down her face, dripping onto my neck. “I thought you left for good.”
I didn't fight to remove the smile from my face, my own tears slipping as I just embraced her. "I'm here, Kira, I'm here to stay."
She slowly pulled away, "Good, because as much as I missed you, dad missed you even more."
I felt my cheeks warm up, along with the ends of my ears, nervously biting my lip as I turned to see everyone going in the house.
****
Dinner had ended hours ago, stars beginning to shine through as I stayed there, on the roof of the house.
I was finally free.
My mind wavered back to my wedding, when Edgin told me he loved me.
"Enjoying the view?"
I turned my head to see him, smiling as he sat beside me. I looked back at the stars, smiling. "Yes, I really am."
We sat there, just staring until I decided to finally break the tension. "Did you mean what you said?"
Edgin turned to face me, "Huh? You mean back at the church?"
I nodded, and I saw a smile break onto his lips. He caressed my cheek, my heart beginning to race as I felt him get closer. "I do. I love you, Y/n. I never thought I could love again after..."
After Kira's mother. His wife.
I went to cup his cheeks, smiling at him reassuringly. "I love you too, Edgin. Really, I do."
I finally let our lips connect, and it felt perfect, as cheesy as it sounded. Fireworks erupted in my chest as I brought myself closer and closer, until there was barely any room left. I was free, I was with my family, I was with the love of my life.
Nothing could ruin this moment for me.
After we separated, his eyes were full of love, until he asked a question, a look of worry.
"Will the guards be after you?"
I thought about it, "Possibly. I'm unsure, but there is a possibility."
I heard Edgin groan, and I couldn't help but laugh. "That's what happens when you rescue a princess-cleric and steal her from a wedding."
"Are you complaining though?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow with a smirk. I shook my head. "Not one bit."

The turbolift halts when it reaches the deck on which the upper-most access to the warp core is located. Your steps are sluggish, and the lace on your left boot is about five strides from falling untied, but you don’t really care to fix it even as you feel your boot go lax. Your heel begins to slip in and out of place just as you reach the door to one of the larger maintenance rooms.
“What’s got your knickers in a twist?” Scotty asks as soon as he sees you.
You shrug, “just tired.”
“Too tired to remember where you’re s’pposed to be?” he stops you from picking up the spare pair of gloves from the bench, “first aid trainin’?”
A vague memory fights its way to the front of your mind, and you recall being ordered by Jim to attend the annual first aid training course that at least two crew members from each division were required to attend.
“Why me?” you sigh, “why can’t you be the first aid officer, or-or Ayden?” The young brunette lieutenant who was half-concealed behind a large metal tank pokes his head out.
“Because,” Scotty says, dismissing Ayden with a wave of his hand, “the capt’n requested you specifically, and I know he’s a bit of bastard sometimes but he’s still our capt’n.”
“He just wants me to suffer because he has to,” you grumble.
He chuckles as he grips your shoulders and physically turns you back toward the door, “I doubt you’ll be sufferin’ much, lassie, I heard the CMO himself is runnin’ this one.”
Your feet forget their steps and you stumble before catching yourself on the doorjamb. “W-Why is Bones running it? Isn’t he busy? He never does this kind of thing, you say as you turn back to face Scotty.
He shrugs, “capt’n’s orders, I guess. Now go before you’re late.”
You drag your feet out the door, down the corridor, and into the lift once again, all the while muttering about all the ways you intend on getting back at Jim.
You met Jim on your second day at Starfleet Academy and were almost immediately joined at the hip, being one of the only women on campus who was immune to the man’s charm. Well, not entirely immune at first, but you’ve definitely built it up over the years. It took a whole twelve months before you met his other other half, the doctor, and no matter how many years you spend with that man, you will never be immune to Leonard McCoy. From the moment you met him, you knew you were doomed, though you still tried desperately to deny it and got pretty good at controlling your body’s reactions to him. Your thoughts, however, not so much.
For almost two whole years, you managed to keep your crush under wraps, even though it was quite literally crushing you. It was one drunken night when you finally confessed to Jim, not quite revealing the identity of the man you were in love with but giving him enough information that he actually comforted you. That was when you realised it was a lost cause, and you were condemned to pine after this man for all eternity, because even James Tiberius Kirk couldn’t make a joke about your heartache. He did, however, affectionately nickname this mysterious man ‘Mr. Dreamy’ and continue to ask you about him and allow you to vent. It was nice to not have to bottle it all up, but it felt strange talking to one of your best friends about the other without him even knowing that it was the other best friend that you were talking about. Your conscience certainly took a guilty blow every time you’d end up in tears in Jim’s arms, or have to quickly change the conversation because Leonard was approaching. Jim never questioned it though, nor did he push the topic when you stopped bringing it up once aboard the Enterprise, leaving him to assume that Mr. Dreamy was left behind at the academy.
“You’re late,” Jim says as you fall into the chair beside him.
“You’re ugly,” you retort.
The large conference room is devoid of the oversized table that usually sits at its center, instead there are only two smaller tables piled high with medical equipment surrounded by a number of limbless, humanoid dummies. You and Jim are sitting in the front row of the audience chairs, whereas most of the crew attending had opted for further back.
“That’s no way to speak to your captain,” he chuckles, “what’s got your panties in a knot?”
“My panties are neither yours nor Scotty’s business,” you snap, though as soon as the words leave your lips you know you’ve given away exactly the reason why they are in a proverbial knot.
You’ve been aboard the USS Enterprise for almost two years, which means it’s been two years and one month – give or take a day – since you’ve been laid, and holy shit are you frustrated. It isn’t that you have an aversion to sex, or are practicing abstinence, in fact, you have a very healthy enjoyment for the act. It just so happens that you can’t seem to want anyone other than the one man you can’t have, because who fucking knows what would happen if you went down that route after five long years of friendship.
Jim’s laughter turns into a childish giggle, “has it been a while?”
You roll your eyes, “yes, Jim, it’s been a while.”
“How long?”
You turn in your chair to face the curious man, “that is also none of your business.”
“You know,” he glances around the room, “I know for a fact that there are many lovely lieutenants aboard this ship who would be more than willing to scratch that itch for you.”
“Shut up,” you hiss, “and no. Do you know how complicated it can get when you sleep with someone you’re stuck on a spaceship with for five years?”
“I do, actually,” he replies, “I know very well, but that doesn’t mean we should have to ignore one of our most primal needs.”
“Primal needs,” you roll your eyes again, “I appreciate the concern, but I’ll be fine. Three more years won’t kill me.”
He gasps, “it’s been three years?”
You roll your eyes again so hard you’re sure you saw your brain, “Jim, you know very well it hasn’t been three years.”
“Wait, so you haven’t slept with any since… since we-”
“Nope,” you say, stopping him from finish that sentence.
Yep, you had sex with Jim Kirk, but in your defense, who hasn’t? It was a drunken night, one week from embarking on the Enterprise’s five-year journey, and you were both a little lonely and incredibly horny. It wasn’t half bad either, if only a little strange sleeping with one of your best friends while you were in love with the other.
“Holy shit, Y/N, I didn’t-”
“Of course you didn’t know, Jim,” you sigh, turning back to the front of the room, “besides it’s not like I haven’t had… options, I’m just not interested.”
He frowns, “don’t tell me you’re still hung up on Mr. Dreamy.”
You purse your lips to keep from laughing, not out of mirth but something more along the lines of grim amusement, and your silence is enough of an answer for Jim.
“Hey,” he places a hand on your arm, “you know, I wouldn’t object if you wanted me to… help you out again. Believe me it was no chore, I mean-”
“Jim!” you snap, “shut up before somebody hears you.”
His cheeky grin only grows wider, “come on, you think anyone on this ship would be surprised to find out we’ve slept together?”
Before you can reply, the sound of someone clearing their throat catches your attention, and you both snap toward the front of the room to find the doctor himself staring at you. His frown is harsher than usual, and his hair a little mussed, which only fills your inappropriate mind with a thousand different fantasies of the messy-haired doctor in your bed.
“Well,” Jim sighs, “maybe one person.”
You glance around to the find majority of the room watching you while the rest of them do anything they can to not witness this situation unfold.
“Sorry, Bones,” Jim says, “you can begin now.”
“Well, thank you, Jim,” the doctor replies sarcastically before turning his attention to the room, “now that our captain has given his blessing, let’s get started.”
Jim settles back in his chair, though his demeanor is less relaxed and a little more anxious than before. You keep your eyes trained on the holographic slides behind Leonard as he talks about first aid basics and what different codes and acronyms mean. You try your hardest not to look at him, but all you can think about is how much you want to jump his bones. His voice is still a little raspy from sleep, and you start to fantasize about how delicious his Southern drawl would sound whispered against your neck.
Your almost halfway through a dangerously vivid daydream when Jim nudges you. “Are you okay?” he asks, and only then do you realise that the rest of crew had begun packing away their chairs to make room on the floor.
You nod and stand, dragging your chair to the side while Jim retrieves one of the rubbery dummies from the front of the room. Everyone pairs off, and you sit on the opposite side of the dummy to Jim while he uses his PADD to pull up some notes.
“Now,” Bones says, “we’re going to practice a variety of different cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques. The concept is the same, it just depends on the anatomy of the patient.”
Jim hands you the PADD and you start flipping through all the different diagrams of different species’ anatomies, each illustration pointing out the location of the body’s heart, lungs, and esophagus.
“How the hell does he remember all these?” you wonder aloud.
Jim chuckles, “why do you think he’s so grumpy all the time?”
You get up on your knees for a better angle at the dummy and place your hands over where the heart would be on a human.
“I have to ask,” he says before you can start practicing compressions, “how do you even know if Mr. Dreamy is still single? Why wait for him?”
“It’s not like I still think I have a chance with him,” you reply, “it’s just… complicated.”
“How could it be complicated? I know you’ve got your excuses, but if you’re so in love with this guy, what’s to lose if you just ask him out?”
You can’t help but glance over your shoulder at the doctor. He’s kneeling beside another pair and helping them with their hand placement.
“It just is,” you say, before starting CPR on your own dummy.
“Well,” Jim says, “my offer still stands, because who knows how long before you’re grumpier than the good doctor over there.”
You sit back on your heels and gesture for him to take his turn, deciding not to acknowledge his proposal. After taking turns on three different methods of CPR, the doctor appears beside you.
“Do you need any help?” he asks as he kneels on the floor, and you want to say yes but you know he’s only referring to the dummy.
“You underestimate us, Bones,” Jim replies, “we’re top of the class.”
“Sure you are,” Bones rolls his eyes, “show me then.”
Jim sits back and gestures for you to do the honors.
You turn to the doctor, and the butterflies in your stomach erupt into a frenzy. “J-Just human?” you ask, cursing yourself for stuttering.
He nods and you lean over the dummy, placing your hands over where the sternum would be and starting a rhythmic pulse of compressions.
“Harder,” he says, which almost makes your hands slip off the dummy entirely. “Don’t be scared to break a rib, I’m sure they’d prefer a broken bone over death.”
You take a deep breath to compose yourself and put a little more force into the compressions. After counting to thirty, you tip the head of the dummy back, pinch its rubbery nose, and act as if you’re blowing into its mouth without actually putting your lips on it. Then you return to performing compressions.
“Good girl,” the doctor praises, and your sure your heart stops just as your breath does. Your hands slip and you have to catch yourself on the floor to keep from faceplanting.
You sit back and stare at Bones’ arms as he rolls his sleeves up and positions himself over the dummy.
“Make sure you interlock your fingers,” he says, “and keep your arms extended, that way you won’t lose stability.”
You want to listen, but you can’t stop staring at his bare arms as he performs perfect CPR on the doll in front of you. His skin is tanned and taught across his strong muscles, honed from years of practicing to have the steadiest and most skilled hands in all of Starfleet. His hands, oh god, you’ve had countless dreams about them tangling in your hair and touching every inch of your body.
You shift a little to try and relieve the pressure building between your thighs.
“Jim,” Bones says, “your turn.”
You look up to find Jim staring at you, his brows furrowed and a question on his lips as he slowly moves to take over from the doctor. Once satisfied with Jim’s technique, Bones leaves to help another pair and you quickly start flipping through the PADD to find the next diagram.
“Y/N,” Jim says, his tone suddenly serious.
You glance up, your cheeks hot, “Captain.”
He stares at you, his blue eyes trapping you and stopping you from looking away no matter how much you want to.
“Holy shit,” you can practically see the lightbulb flash above his head, “holy shit, I can’t believe I didn’t notice! I mean, it’s so obvious, and- how the hell did I not realise? Holy shit.”
“Jim-”
“It’s Bones!” he exclaims, earning startled glances from the people surrounding you.
“Jim, please-”
“No, no, no, you’re not lying your way out of this one,” he says, “I can’t believe you wouldn’t tell me that Mr. Dreamy- or should I say Doctor Dreamy is Bones.”
You sink onto your bum and cross your legs on front of you, leaning your elbows on your knees as you hide your face in your hands. “Jim, please don’t say anything,” you plead, “he can’t know, no one can know.”
“The way you look at him, the way you’ve always looked at him,” he goes on, though his voice is significantly lower, “I can’t believe I didn’t notice.”
Before you can say another word, Bones calls the room’s attention. Behind him, the holographic slides have changed to new points of information, and everyone falls silent to listen to the doctor’s speech.
You can see Jim squirming from the corner of your eye as you try to listen to the rest of the seminar, but it’s almost impossible to hear anything over the beating of your own heart. Heat washes over you in waves, ensuring your cheeks remain a bright shade of red and making your uniform feel itchy and tight. It feels like an eternity before Bones announces a break for lunch.
You grab Jim before he can move and begin dragging him out of the room, down the corridor, and into one of the smaller, vacant conference rooms.
He’s already giggling as you flop into one of the chairs, “you’re in love with Bones.”
You sigh, “yep.”
“And have been for five years?”
“Yep.”
“Why wouldn’t you tell me?”
“Because it’s stupid,” you reply, “and when I first met him, he was still getting over the divorce. Every time we’d drink together, he’d end up ranting about his ex and either make himself angry or upset. We all became such good friends, and before I knew it… I just didn’t want to ruin the friendship.”
“Ruin the friendship?” he repeats, “what are we? Teenagers in some old, soapy television drama?”
You shrug, “yes, I’m in love with him, but I’d rather have him in my life even just as a friend than not at all.”
“What makes you think he wouldn’t want to be with you?”
“Have you seen the women who hit on him?” you scoff, “and the women he’s been with? I could never-”
“Hey,” he interrupts you and pinches your chin between his thumb and forefinger, “none of that. You’re gorgeous, and Bones would be an idiot not to agree.”
“Okay,” you swat his hand away, “say we did go out, but it didn’t go well, and then I’ve lost one of my closest friends and made it incredibly awkward for you. Not to mention being stuck on this damn ship with him for another three years.”
Jim huffs, his eyes boring into his own shoes. It looks as if he’s having his own argument in his head, his posture rigid and his lips set into a hard line.
“Jim, just promise-”
“Sorry to interrupt,” a red-shirted lieutenant pokes their head through the door, “but I actually have this room booked in five minutes.”
“Oh,” you stand and grab Jim’s arm, “sorry.”
You pull your captain into the corridor and begin back toward the big conference room.
“Y/N, just hear me out.”
You turn abruptly and push Jim against the wall with a hand on his chest, “no, Jim, you hear me out. You know how I feel, and you know how long I’ve felt like this, so don’t you dare try and tell me what I should do. Just because you now know it’s Leonard doesn’t change anything.”
“Okay,” he raises his hands in surrender, “okay, I’ll shut up, I’m sorry.”
You release him slowly and he lowers his hands.
“I have to admit though,” he smirks, “he’d be an excellent lay.”
“Jim!” you exclaim, your hands balling into fists at your side.
He chuckles and looks down the corridor, his grin disappearing the instant his eyes land on the doctor. You frown and follow his gaze before quickly taking two steps back from your captain.
Jim clears his throat, “Bones-”
“We’re starting again,” the doctor says, before turning sharply and walking back into the conference room.
Neither of you say another word as you reenter the room and take a seat in the front row once again. Leonard avoids looking your way for the rest of the afternoon, and though you can’t help but worry about what you’ve done wrong, it also allows you to stare at him unashamedly. You let your thoughts run wild, imagining his hands pinning your wrists down, his body on top of yours, and his mouth everywhere as he slowly unties that knot below your stomach that’s been twisting tighter and tighter for five years.
Eventually he calls the day to an end, and everyone thanks him before shuffling out of the room, everyone but Jim.
“Dinner?” you ask.
He takes a deep breath before standing, “I’ll be there soon, you go ahead.”
Your heart thuds nervously, but you stop yourself from questioning him any further and turn toward the door. You’re the last out aside from Jim, and you can hear him address his friend just as you step into the corridor. The last of the crew shuffle into the lift. “Are you coming?” one asks.
You fight with your good conscience before shaking your head, “no, you go.”
The doors of the lift ease shut, and you turn several times on the spot, asking yourself whether you’re a sneaky person before giving in and pressing yourself against the conference room’s door.
“Bones,” you hear Jim’s voice, “just listen to me.”
“I don’t really feel like listening to you right now, Jim,” the doctor bites back.
You frown and press your ear against the door.
“Please, let me explain.”
“Explain what exactly?” Bones asks, his tone harsh, “the part where you slept with girl I love, or the part where you lied to me so that I didn’t?”
You smack your hand over your mouth to keep from gasping… or screaming.
“I didn’t lie to you, Bones, I just-”
“You told me she was in love with some other guy, and that I couldn’t ask her out because it would only make things awkward.”
“I didn’t lie to you, I-I just didn’t know that-” Jim sighs loudly, “Bones, I am sorry, we were both drunk and it didn’t mean anything, it was just-”
“Just sex?” Bones snaps, “that’s all it ever is with you, Jim, you never think about anyone else.”
“I know, it was stupid, but I never lied to you,” Jim says, “she really was- is in love with someone, but she never told me who it was. I just- I assumed it was some guy back at the academy, and I should have realised-”
“Realised what, Jim?”
You can only imagine the two of them squaring up to each other, and you try desperately not to let the picture of an infuriated Leonard turn you on.
“The guy she was- is in love with, she never told me who it was, we just called him by some stupid nickname, she’s loved him for years, but I never-”
“Are you trying to torture me?” Bones interrupts again, “spit it out, damnit!”
“It’s you!” Jim exclaims.
Your heart lurches, threatening to break through your ribcage and burst right out of your chest.
“She’s in love with you, has been for years.”
The silence is heavy, and you have to hold your breath to stay quiet.
“What are you playing, Jim?”
“Nothing, I’m telling you the truth,” their voices are no longer raised, “and I am sorry, Bones. I shouldn’t have slept with her, drunk or not.”
Another beat of silence passes.
“I didn’t realise you were still in love with her,” the captain says quietly, and you have lean against the door before your knees give way.
Bones sighs, “course I am.”
“Then tell her.”
“Tell her?”
You startle at the sound of footsteps approaching, jumping back from the door when it slides open.
Jim smirks, “I didn’t take you for the spying type.”
You don’t have a chance to reply before he pulls you into the room and drags you toward the doctor. He smiles at both of you, pats Bones on the shoulder, and leaves.
“Hi,” you murmur.
“Hi.”
Staring up at him, you soften instantly under his hazel gaze. You can feel the warmth from his body, you’re standing so close, and you’re positive your cheeks are burning red.
“I’m sorry,” he sighs, running a hand through his hair, “Jim’s just-”
You’re not sure if it’s the fact that you’re touch starved or just overwhelmed by what you’d just heard, but you surge up onto your toes and press your lips against his. He catches your waist and presses your body against his, tilting his head to allow your mouths better access to each other as his tongue slides past your lips. You can’t help the little whimper that travels up your throat, which only urges Leonard on. He turns your bodies and sits you on the table, knocking half of the equipment on it to the floor. Your legs part and he settles between them, pressing into you enough to make you shudder.
“I love you,” he says between open mouthed kisses, “by the way.”
You giggle against his lips, “I love you too.”
His hands stroke your jaw before travelling gently down your neck and chest and stopping to cup your breasts. He groans, and you sigh, before his hands continue down to your hips and he holds you in place to grind against you.
You gasp, his name falling from your lips like a prayer, “Len.”
Your hook the fingers of your right hand in the band of his pants while your left travels up under his shirt. His skin is so hot and so soft, you can feel the appreciation for him pooling in your panties.
“Oh, my God,” a voice exclaims, and you jump apart, “that was quick!”
Leonard looks over his shoulder but keeps his body facing you, concealing the bulge in his pants. “Damnit, Jim!”
The captain giggles, his grin so broad you’re worried he might get stuck like that, “this is a public space.”
At the same time, you and Leonard shout, “get out!”
He continues laughing as he leaves, and only then does Leonard disentangle himself from you and march toward the door to lock it. When he turns back, you can’t help but giggle at the delicious sight of him.
“Want some help with that?” you ask, nodding toward his crotch.
He’s back on you in less than a second, claiming your neck with a heavenly bite. “Thought you’d never ask,” he whispers against your skin.
END.
