The prequel to Sept 23, 2013. Part 2: Liz, way back when.
Liz, according to Red, was born in Moscow. This information is somewhat confirmed because Peter broadcast that to the world:
AGENT: You were born in Moscow. Your mother was a KGB agent named Katarina Rostova. Your adopted father had a criminal past you failed to mention.
Her birth name seems to have been Masha, and Constantin was believed to be her father, but was not. One other name Red gives Liz on the fly is Molly, a variant of Maria, like Masha.
she obviously had a fake birth certificate in which she was born in 1984, in order to be 31 in 2015, as seen in the longevity initiative with the 31 candles and her wanted poster.
That fake birthday seems to be in March, when the Longevity Initiative aired. The show-time and the real time seemed to be the same then.
But Kaplan puts 1985 in her fake tombstone,
and Red and Liz confirmed she was taken in by Sam when she was 4, the fire was when she was 4 years old, in December of 1990.
My wife and her dad, they had something…. He took her in when she was 4 and raised her as a single parent.
Lizzy, the memories of a four-year-old are unreliable.
So, that would have had her born in 1986.
BUT we also have a curious set of aliases Red gives her on the fly: Christina, Nicole and Natalie in season 1. All names related to Christmas. He also tells her that all she believes about herself is a lie. So, her March 1984 birthday was a lie. I suspect Liz is indeed a Winter, not just in coloring, but a baby born in December . December 1985. So she is 4 at the fire, and she was born in 1985.
In 1986 Katarina hires Kathryn Nemec to be her nanny, with the curious admonition not to love Liz. Liz will remember Kate’s words, but not Kate, not even after telling who she was to her.
Dom has a story of last seeing her at age 3, which would be in 1989. Drawings can be seen in Dom’s garage of Dom’s house and a man with 2 dark haired girls and Masha written on it.
Red tells her that she lived at Rostov’s house on and off for 4 years, which means she had to live at least in one other place on and off.
By age 3, (when Kate encounters Katarina in the car with the man) her hair was blondish and curlier, she wore it longer and she already had her toy bunny, seemingly a favorite. Very reminiscent of Bubble Girl’s.
She also remembers the 20 steps to the sand in season 6, which means she must have gone there with her father, and must have met Jennifer. The Sheriff at Rehoboth Beach expresses no surprise at seeing two daughters of Raymond Reddington.
But she does not remember Carla Reddington, or Dom. She remembers the fire, the shooting, her room, the swing, burying a can, and her mother writing in a diary.
She trusted Red and Jennifer rather quickly. She had a dream that connected Carla, her father and the night of the fire, but that was the extent of it.
If she is Bubble girl (in possession of the bubble memory) then she also was in the Tacoma Park house, and likely in the cabin where Red is likely to have found the home movies of Bubble Girl he is splicing in 2.05.
She loved Ballet, and it seems that Red slipped in to see her dance. This would make her be Ballerina Girl, and the performance was not repeated after 2014, because by 2014 he had already made contact, while the 2014 one would have been commissioned in March of 2013, before he thought of surrendering.
She went to college and had a bad time around her senior thesis in her masters (2009) referenced in 2 episodes: Floriana Campo and Linus Creel, involving a cheating boyfriend.
She graduates and meets Tom in 2010, who had been hired by Red to be the friend of a friend. At the time she had turned down Nik’s marriage proposal,
met Tom and fell in love at first sight.
They felt like family, which leads me to believe that they had met as children. Scottie has a picture of a dark haired woman with a girl blowing bubbles in her office:
But that is speculation on my part. Scottie was blackmailed by Rostov into taking the abduction, and knew quite well who Liz was. She calls her Masha.
There are a number of drawings repeated in Dom’s garage and in The Summer Palace:
and in the fire we see 2 drawings: one is a cat,. dog or bear with a bandana, in the pink room:
and the other is a family, with a taller man, a blondish girl and a mother with red or light brown hair, by an apple tree with apples on it.
Liz remember burying a time machine with her mother in Canada, and she seems to be 4 years old. The bracelet she takes from Katarina is a March bracelet, making it seem this is March/April 1990. (thanks to those who pointed this out)
sometime in the early fall of 1990 she is apparently taken from the Summer Palace. Note that Kate and the Canadian cops all have light jackets, not winter jackets:
so, this cannot be later than October 1990. Liz remembers this scene during the recall:
in a Christmas tree lot, chasing a woman heard saying “catch me” when a man appears and calls Lizzy, and she sees her adult self standing there and Little Liz running to the man.
We pick her up sitting in a closet and hearing an argument, the Fire night.
She shoots someone, runs back in the closet, and is taken out after the fire broke out.
The events of that night are still fuzzy.
She is dropped by Katarina in a Dover motel where Kate was staying,
and about 10 days to 2 weeks later dropped with Sam and his dog Cargo:
she receives a call from Katarina, if that part of Rassvet is true way after the supposed drowning, and remains with Sam. Red is directing Sam what to do in order to direct Liz into the FBI.
Liz is told that her mother died of weakness and shame, and her father was a career criminal who abandoned her.
She fantasizes about her mother coming back for her: When I was a little girl, I used to imagine that my mother was a prima ballerina who danced for kings and queens in London and Paris. And she only left me with Sam until she could come home again and sweep me away.
I think this feeling of being abandoned plays into Liz’s fantasy: It's been the same thing for as long as I can remember. I'm walking in a park with my husband. In between us is our little girl. I'm holding her hand in mine and I never let go. Liz felt her mother, and her father had let her go. Abandoned her.
Liz and Tom move to DC from upstate NY in 2013 so that Liz can attend Quantico to become a field agent. At the time they had talked about adoption for 6 months then spent nearly a year into the process of adopting. However, Liz seems less than enthusiastic about the child than she is about her career. In those first scene with Tom we can see how Liz had become a covert agent n her own life. She is pretending to be the girl next door, naive, playing by the book, with a perfect life, but cracks are showing. She has anger issues, she is demanding (they need milk, and the dog peeing is Tom’s job), she needs the car. She profiles himself showing that she knows all this is a facade, and is clear that when she fell for Tom, she did so ins spite of the perfect facade, she fell for the real Tom, and Tom fell for the real Liz.
My colleagues call me "sir." They think I'm a bitch. Like most kids who raised themselves, I can display narcissistic behavior. I can be withdrawn, disconnected. Uh I have a deep yearning to understand and relate to the criminal mind. I'm board certified in forensic psychology, and yet I operate under the delusion that I can rewrite my past by having kids of my own.
Her anger issues show clearly: in the scene with Cooper and Ressler, stabbing Red, hitting the freelancer with a cab, etc.
Liz also has bad reaction when called sweetheart, princess or honey. The easiest mention chronologically is the man who puts her in the closet.
AND we know she suspected Red of being her abandoning father from the moment she met him. She would have had to be an idiot not to. Her father, she has been told, is a criminal who abandoned her, and Red is a criminal who abandoned his family, and now this criminal wants to talk to her alone.
She is an accomplished liar, has violent tendencies, believe in getting even (like Red: I get even), and then she is capable of forgiveness.

South Dakota AG under pressure to resign as new evidence reveals investigators found victim's broken glasses inside his car The calls for his resignation have ramped up in light of new evidence released Tuesday night, in which investigators say that they found Boever’s broken glasses in Ravnsborg’s car and that the victim’s face had come through the attorney general’s windshield. Ravnsborg struck and killed Boever on September 12. He initially told police he had hit a deer, but he discovered Boever’s body the following morning after returning to the scene of the collision. In a two-part interview, a video recording of which was released by the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, investigators question Ravnsborg about a pair of broken glasses found inside his vehicle. “Do you normally wear glasses or anything when you’re driving?” one investigator asks Ravnsborg in the first interview, to which the attorney general says he does not. After a brief back and forth over the type of glasses that Ravnsborg normally wears — sunglasses — the investigators move on to discuss other things. In a follow-up interview, the same two investigators question the attorney general and discuss the broken glasses. “They’re Joe’s glasses. So that means his face came through your windshield,” an investigator tells Ravnsborg, who lets out an obvious gasp and says, “I wondered about that.” On Tuesday, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Republican, issued a statement in response to the conclusion of the investigation, calling for the attorney general to step down. “Now that the investigation has closed and charges have been filed, I believe the Attorney General should resign,” Noem said in the statement. “I have reviewed the material we are releasing, starting today, and I encourage others to review it as well.” South Dakota state Rep. Will Mortenson, a Republican, filed articles of impeachment against Ravnsborg, saying that “following the collision, including during his reporting of the collision and the resulting investigation, Jason Ravnsborg undertook actions unbecoming the Attorney General.” “The Attorney General does not intend to resign,” Ravnsborg spokesperson Mike Deaver said in a statement to CNN. “At no time has this issue impeded his ability to do the work of the office. Instead, he has handled some of the largest settlements and legislative issues the state has ever been through.” Deaver added that “as an attorney and a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves, AG Ravnsborg has fought for the rule of law and personal liberties and would hope that he is afforded the same right and courtesy.” Ravnsborg has not yet responded to misdemeanor charges filed against him by the state attorney’s office and a court date has yet to be set, Deaver tells CNN. Nick Nemec, Boever’s cousin, released a statement to CNN stating, “As a family we are very disappointed in the decision to charge Mr. Ravnsborg with only three misdemeanors, none for killing a man. I am convinced, despite his claims otherwise, he saw Joe in the moment before the crash.” Last year, the state released a toxicology report stating that a blood sample given by Ravnsborg the day after the crash showed his blood alcohol content was 0%. Officials also released last year the 911 call made by Ravnsborg the night of the crash in which he told dispatchers, “I hit something” that was in the middle of the road. The dispatcher asked, “Are you injured at all, Jason?” To which Ravnsborg responded, “I am not, but my car sure as hell is.” Ravnsborg, a Republican, was elected South Dakota attorney general in 2018, according to his office’s website. Shampoo Boyは、オーストリアの首都ウ��ーンを拠点として活動する、Peter Rehberg (electronics)と、Christina Nemec (bass) と、Christian Schachinger (guitar)のトリオ。2013年にデビューアルバム「Licht」、2015年に2ndアルバム「Crack」、ともにBlackest Ever Blackからリリースされた。
Peter Rehberg (Pita)は、オーストリアの老舗前衛音楽レーベル『EditionsMego』のオーナー。Christina Nemec (Chra)は、2016年4月に神戸芸術センター プロコフィエフホールにてソロライブを披露した。Christian Schachingerは、Occidental Blue Harmony Lovers, Peterlickerのメンバーでもある。
Shampoo Boyは世界中の熱狂的ファンに支持されている革命的なバンドである。日本初公演。

Several Prince William educators will be honored for their service to the community in an upcoming ceremony.
According to a release, 29 teachers have been nominated for the Prince William County Schools’ (PWCS) Teacher of the Year award, and two principals have been nominated for the PWCS Principal of the Year award.
The nominees and winners will be recognized at a ceremony on January 30 at 6 p.m. at Colgan High School in Manassas.

TBL themes: identity - Fake deaths, disappearances and aliases
One of the main themes of the Blacklist is identity. A theme that comprises not just names and aliases, but also fake deaths, shapeshifters (good people who are bad and vice versa) and the the mysterious disappearances.
And when we think of identity we know that Red is Liz’s biological father, and we think we know who was he to Katarina, her mother, but do we? Dom’s being a secret from Kate and from Constantin Rostov and Dom’s relationship to Red, coupled with Red’s relationship to Carla Reddington AKA Naomi Hyland makes that apparent relationship (she was a KGB agent who seduced Red and had a child by him) be dubious at best. The reality is we do not have any real idea who Katarina, Liz’s mother and Dom’s daughter, really was.

Ranko Zamani was presumed dead (picture and all). He entered the US with a fake identity.
Vanessa Cruz faked her death by leaving her clothes on the beach and was never be seen again.
Lucy Brooks faked her death using The Alchemist and became Jolene Parker

Shahin Navabi faked his to become Zal Bin Hasaan

identities manufactured to safeguard the real person. If the trail is followed it would lead to the doppelgänger and keep the real person safe. Or it could be used like Fred: a safeguard for Red’s reputation.
Fake Berlin: Milos Pavel Kinsky– sometimes known as “Berlin.”Kinky was an associate of real Berlin, Milos Kirchhoff, another KGB officer and Colonel of the Red Army.
Fake Ivan: by using the identity of a known hacker, Harrison Lee was escaping attention
Fake The Djinn AKA Alice. She was the front of the operation, protecting the identity of Nasim Bakhash, the real Djinn
Fake Zal Bin Hasaan: The man Red follows the trail to the motel, only to discover because of the lack of burns in his back that he is not the real Hasaan. The real one was Shahin Navabi AKA Zal Bin Hasaan. His job was to insulate the real Hasaan.
Gregory Devry AKA Fake Red: one of Red’s many contingency plans. His job was to help repair Red’s reputation which had been damaged by rumors he was an FBI informant. A dear friend with a terminal illness fit the bill.
Fake Liz: she uses a double to escape Red’s surveillance via Ezra. She attends a psychologist and does a strip tease.
Fake Deer Hunter : his wife took the “job”
Fake Katya in the Sumer Palace, even dressed as Kate.
The Alchemists dead doppelgängers allowed his clients to continue to live free.
Bobby Jonica hid the death of Mako Tanida’s brother to use his identity to run Tanida’s empire
