Narnia Headcanons
- Edmund and Lucy were the only two to ever marry as king and queen of Narnia.
- Susan was married three times on earth. Her first marriage wasn't thought through and ended in amicable divorce after two years (they remained close friends throughout their lives), her second ended with her husband's death, and her third husband outlived her by three years. They were named Ned, Alexander, and Henry.
-Susan didn't remarry until nearly 10 years after Alexander's death (he was killed in a car accident). She had two children with him, Peter Edmund and Wren.
- meeting Henry was an unexpected but happy accident. She had twins with him: Christopher, and Charles.
- Peter Edmund took the most after Susan. Wren took after her uncle Edmund quite a bit though and liked to carry his picture around when she was little.
- Christopher was a lot like his late uncle Peter but Charles was like Lucy mixed with Eustace, which often led to interesting situations.
- Alexander was the only one Susan told about Narnia and he believed her immediately. His grandmother had been present when Jadis was in London and she was always convinced the witch was one of the fey, so it made sense to him.
- Edmund married Ariane the daughter of minor Archenland nobility. She is described by historians as, "tall, thin, and very plain with red hair and covered head to toe in freckles. Lady Ariane had a sharp tongue, was extremely stubborn, and argued as easy as she breathed. The king adored her."
- Ariane wasn't able to have children. She and Edmund unofficially adopted Aravis, who wasn't really sure what to make of the two at first.
- Lucy married the son of the governor of the Lone Islands, a man called Soren. He was described as being dark haired and quiet. He was exceptionally gentle and he and Lucy grew to love each other deeply.
- Lucy had one daughter named Una, who was later called Princess of the Ruins by rude Telemarene scholars. Narnians called her Queen Una the Wise.
- Soren died after a long illness, shortly before the Telmarens took over. Una fled to Archenland and lived in Exile there with her aunt Ariane.
- Ariane never got over Edmund's disappearance and often wandered around the countryside looking for Aslan, so he could bring her husband back. She died of old age surrounded by her niece, adopted daughter, and grandchildren.

1 for fluff prompts Eiji steals Ash’s shirt and refuses to give it back
Anonymous: Prompt 1 for the prompt list?
1. “Is that my shirt?” “You mean our shirt?”
Ash steps out into the living room, still half asleep. Eiji is already cooking breakfast, and has probably been awake for, like, three years. How he manages to get up before the sunrise, Ash will never understand.
There's the smell of eggs permeating the air, and Ash follows the scent into the kitchen, half stumbling. Fuck, he's still tired. At least Eiji let him sleep in this time, instead of dragging his ass out of bed like he does sometimes. Dick.
But—wait a second. Wait a fucking second.
"Good morning, sunshine," Eiji teases, spinning to face Ash. And, yeah, that confirms it.
Ash narrows his eyes. "Is that my shirt?"
Eiji grins, a playful glint in his eyes. "You mean our shirt?"
"No the fuck I do not," Ash says. "That—that's my shirt, right?"
Eiji's grin doesn't fade in the slightest. He knows—trusts, probably—that Ash isn't actually mad. Everything's playful with them, now that they're never in any real danger anymore.
Ash laughs. "You thief!"
"You've been wearing my NoriNori merch since back in the condo downtown! This is only fair," Eiji huffs.
"It's different," Ash insists. "Your NoriNori stuff is, like, embarrassing to wear. Me putting that shit on is basically just self deprecation, which makes sense for me."
"Hey!" Eiji protests. "Like your rich boy aesthetic is any better?"
Ash pouts. Eiji is wearing one of Ash's sweaters from when he was posing as Christopher Winston, and it does look good on him. But everything looks good on Eiji, so that doesn't count.
"At least I have a sense of style that doesn't involve a cartoon character," Ash counters.
They frown at each other, but it only lasts a few seconds before they both devolve into laughter. Giggles, really.
"You know this is the start of a war, right?" Ash asks. "It's all fair game, now."
"You were already stealing my shirts!" Eiji insists.
"Yeah, but it's about to get so much worse."
"I'm going to take a picture of you in a NoriNori shirt, then."
"Oh my god," Ash groans. "You would not."
"I absolutely would, and I absolutely will. Wear at your own risk."
"It's not fair! I can pull off anything, except the stupid bird merch."
Eiji gasps overdramatically, holding a hand to his chest. "Aslan Jade 'Ash Lynx' Callenreese! You take that back right now!"
Ash grins. "Never. The bird merch is so dumb!"
"And you look great in it!" Eiji insists. "You think I can pull it off, right?"
Ash hums. "Well ..." he teases.
Eiji glares at him. "Right?" he presses.
"Fine," Ash concedes. "But only you. And you look good in everything, so that doesn't even count."
"You know you love NoriNori."
"And you know you love Christopher Winston," Ash says with a sly smile.
Eiji frowns. "Aslan Jade 'Ash Lynx' 'Christopher Winston' Callenreese!" he says.
"Are you going to just keep adding my aliases on?" Ash asks. "There's, like, a lot more than that."
"Only the ones I know."
"I can tell you more, if you'd like?" Ash smirks.
Eiji holds a hand up. "The point is, Ash Lynx, you have been stealing my clothing for years now. It was about time for me to turn it around on you."
"You're going to regret this declaration of war," Ash warns.
Eiji squawks. "You literally started it!"
"And I'm going to end it."
— — —
Things escalate quickly. Eiji finds out that he and Ash are a similar shoe size, which results in him stealing Ash's Converse All Stars. A bold move. It continues up until the point when Ash digs far enough in their shared closet to find the fucking Chinatown outfit, as he had heard it called many times, and he's honestly disappointed he never got to see Eiji in it.
Anyway, the game ends when Eiji finds Ash seated on the couch, complete with the shirt hanging off of one shoulder, pink sunglasses, and short shorts.
Eiji almost faints at the sight, and they call a truce.
Fluff prompts!

An Introduction (or re-introduction)
Now that I'm back on Tumblr more often, I want to try to revive my blog a bit and get some interest in it, maybe have some chats with fellow bloggers, so I thought I should re-introduce myself for anyone just coming across it now.
I'm Ally, 24, and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I enjoy reading, writing, sports and watching stuff in my spare time.
As I'm a in a few different fandoms and have a few interests, with varying degrees of participation, I'll share a list of them here:
The Billabong series by Mary Grant Bruce. This 15-book series, set in the early 20th century in outback Australia, is probably my favourite and the least well-known of my fandoms, given that it's out of print. You can pick up copies of a couple of the books on e-libraries, and there are always copies on eBay etc. I was introduced to this series as a child by my Dad, who grew up reading them too, and my imaginative mind jumped straight to writing fan fiction about them (of course!). I've written a good deal of fic - my earlier stuff is not so good, but I feel like 7 years later I've sort of got the hang of it a bit. It's a hard one to write, because the author had a very specific manner of writing, and I try to stick as close to it as possible.
Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling needs no introduction. I grew up with the books and, later, the movies. Big fan of Harry/Ginny, although not the way it was done in the movies.
The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. I've always really enjoyed C. S. Lewis' world building and his portrayal of Christianity - drawing parallels between Aslan/Jesus, God/the Emperor-over-Sea, the True Narnia/Heaven and the rewards that come to those who follow the right path and are true to themselves. I'm a pretty strong Christian, and my faith has really helped me through some dark times in my life, so Narnia is a story of hope and faith and love that I really enjoy. I've written a few fics about this series - mainly centring around Susan and her journey back towards finding herself and the True Narnia.
The Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. I confess I've only watched the movies, because the books always seemed a bit like ... 'oh, shit, I've got to read all that?' But it's a goal of mine to read the books. I enjoy LOTR though for the same reasons I enjoy Narnia - it's a story about adventure, about finding yourself and supporting those around you.
Star Wars. I've been hooked on Star Wars ever since I was 12 and our teacher had us do a film study on A New Hope. I collected all the books (which are now the Legends universe) which included literally searching the globe for Star by Star and finding it in a secondhand bookstore 5 minutes from home. I've written a few stories about this, too. Some I started but never finished - I'm slowly plugging away, though!
Doctor Who. I grew up watching New Who - I was 7, living in London, when Christopher Eccleston made his debut in Rose. I haven't watched much Classic Who, but I plan to - I recently bought An Unearthly Child and watched the first episode. That was a real trip!
Some other fandoms I'm also interested in but haven't written as much fic for/explored as much: The 100, Percy Jackson, Outlander, Merlin, Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire, The Hunger Games. I've written scattered fic about these, some of which I've never posted, but I enjoy my sci-fi and high fantasy.
I'm also really interested in rowing and netball (my primary sports), space, science and history. I enjoy writing original stories too, when my muse allows for it!
I love vintage fashion, and a lot of my wardrobe consists of vintage-inspired dresses.
I'm a big monarchist and a fan of the Royal Family.
With that really long introduction over, feel free to inbox me and say hello or point me towards the relevant content for certain fandoms!

Why I left Islam after being a devout Muslim for 38 years via /r/atheism
Why I left Islam after being a devout Muslim for 38 years I was born and raised in Bangladesh. Both my parents were Muslims, so I too was brought up as one. Coincidentally the school I attended was funded by the Saudi government and studying Arabic was compulsory for the students up to the 8th grade. Moreover, only Muslim students were admitted and the teachers were selected from active members of a political party called “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami”. The party’s manifesto calls for establishing Sharia laws in the country. Accordingly, our teachers were more invested in making us proper Muslims than following the national curriculum. So we were punished (often corporally) for our transgressions of Islam, i.e. not wearing trousers the correct way (hem of the legs must be above your ankle), mispronouncing Arabic words and phrases, and being late for the Midday prayer. Not attending the prayer was not an option, as teachers were sent to all corners of the campus to find each and everyone. Students who did not voluntarily go to the school mosque, and were “found” by the teachers, were punished in front of the whole congregation. But since it was done to “save us from the eternal punishment of God”, our parents were quite grateful to the teachers and rather optimistic about our future rewards in the “eternal life” after death. In the end, the students were grateful too (albeit, some more begrudgingly than others). On the other hand, my parents were believers of one of the Sufi traditions of Islam. So at home God was not about right and wrong, or heaven and hell. Instead, He was all about love. He created us out of love and He must be discovered through love as well. We need to submit to God just like we surrender ourselves to our lover/beloved. In my 20s and early 30s (2000 - 2015), I defended Islam with my “interpretations” of the Quran and hadiths. In hindsight, it was more or less the apologies used by Muslim “intellectuals” like the author Reza Aslan or tv journalist Mehdi Hasan. ISIS or Al-Qaeda were misguided, but the real reason behind the rise of terrorism was Western interventions (military/economic/cultural). I believed that the Moon was split by Muhammad, the final prophet of God. I also believed that the prophet flew on a winged-horse to the Heavens. At the same time, I knew that the flying horses of Helios were a man-made myth. At 35, to make my apologetics stronger, instead of relying on my “interpretations” of interpretations by past “Islamic scholars”, I decided to study the Quran and hadiths myself. It took me more than two years to complete my study but I realized that these cannot be defended. At best they are 7th - 10th century efforts of building/maintaining a religious community and provide them with explanations for the apparent mysteries of the real world. In 2018 I came across a YouTube channel called “The Masked Arab”. His superbly explained video series was the final nail on the coffin of my theist life. I realized how Islam promotes and intensifies communal division, misogyny and bigotry. I also realized how I had played my part in promoting such evils by defending Islam, by providing a friendlier face for the religion, under which it can carry on oppressing the less privileged. So I became an atheist. Around the same time I found the Four Horsemen of atheism. I particularly fell in love with Christopher Hitchens and his rhetoric. Inspired by him I still call myself an anti-theist. That’s how and why I left Islam at 38. Thank you for reading. Have a good day! Formal Analysis
Aslan Nguyen
Christoph Heldt
502-120-VA: Formal Analysis
September 7th, 2023
Tumblr media
“Rainbow” is a work created by an artist known as Nokkasili and published on DeviantArt on May 24th of 2012. This watercolour style painting depicts a young girl standing alone in the rain whilst holding an umbrella, recognizable by the slimness of the legs, the shoulder length hair, and the long coat. Analysing the elements and components of the painting, we can determine how this artwork came to be.
Using different elements of art and multiple principles of design, Nokkasili managed to create a beautiful artwork filled with colour and meaning. With the help of clear and distinct lines, they were able to separate the different aspects from each other. From the rain to the umbrella, and the different layers of clothing, keeping shapes simple, but easy to understand, Nokkasili clearly separated the elements of this painting from each other using nothing but linework. Utilising the textures naturally brought by the mixing of watercolour paint, this artist was able to create a sense of movement and imbalance to the rain, showing its unpredictability and constant change. They also made use of space and negative space to bring emphasis on how alone the subject is and to more evidently separate them from the rest of the painting. Another contributing factor to the sense of depth within the painting is the reflection of the girl standing on the wet floor due to the rain, making them seem further away and isolating them even more.
From my interpretation of all these different elements and principles within the artwork, this painting gives a sense of loneliness and isolation. Whether this effect was intended or not by the artist is unknown to me, but from my understanding, solitude is a big aspect of his artwork. Nokkasili themself did not explain nor give meaning to their painting, so understanding its message is all up to interpretation. Although they never give meaning or explanations to their artworks, we can find recurring themes within their many paintings such as: distant horizons, usage of negative space, watercolour paint and a single subject always facing away from us. The last theme of a person looking away may be a metaphor for loneliness or isolation, themes present within their “Rainbow” artwork, projecting the solitude of artists onto their canvas.
After having analysed this painting with the help of the elements of art and principles of design as well as having looked through many of Nokkasili’s artworks, I was able to interpret and deduce the meaning of their painting titled “Rainbow” as an artwork depicting loneliness within a sea of people. The umbrella represents the walls which trap artists in their work, pushing them away from others and isolating them from the outside world, represented by the colourful rain surrounding the girl. This is further emphasised by the usage of negative space and depth, making it feel as though the girl is further away from us.
