Have Faith In Me (Bane x Chubby Reader)

Bane comes home after a long day and gets some comfort from his significant other. Can they ever convince him that they aren't easily broken?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi guys, I'm back at it. This one is more gender neutral than usual, but there is a mention of the word niece. Just trying out new writing styles and I never want to leave out my nonbinary homies. Hope you enjoy.

His shoulders sagged and his steps were heavy. Bane couldn't remember having a harder day latey. All his plans were foiled by Batman, so the whole of the Injustice League was laying into him.

As he opened the door to his home, he could feel his spirits lifting considerably. Though he couldn't quite put his finger on the reason why, other than you.

You were in the kitchen humming along to whatever your phone was playing. The smells that wafted from the pot you stirred were heavenly. The sight of you putting so much care into a meal that you would both enjoy warmed his heart.

He came up behind you and wrapping your plump form in his arms. You were startled, but leaned into his arms in familiar comfort. He gave a kiss to the crown of your head and took in your wonderful scent. These were the peaceful moments he loved.

“Hard day, huh.” You said as you laced your fingers with his. Hearing his heavy sigh, you kissed both of his hand. Leading him to the kitchen table, you sat him down and went back to the stove. Only to return with a steaming bowl of chili. “I saw on the new earlier. So I thought you could use a comforting meal.”

“What would I do without you darling?“

You laughed as you sat across from him with your own bowl. “Probably survive off of canned food.“

He gave a chuckle at that. “I’m sure you right.” Then he reached over and set his hand on yours. You both enjoyed the simple intimacy it brought.

Later in bed you were reading a book, indulging in Bane's warmth and the low drawl of the show he was watching. When an announcement for The Penguin's nephew's Birthday party pops up on the TV. Bane tenses up at that, knowing what would follow.

“Do you want me to go with you? I’m sure you've already gotten your invitation.” You said it casually , without even looking up. Though it was all a guise.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. For us to be public about our relationship that is.” He said, while twiddling his fingers nervously.

With a heavy sigh you put the book down. “Look, I know you’re worry about my safety, but i’m not made of glass. You know about my past.”

“That may be true, but what if your used to get to me?”

You gave him an exasperated look. “If you really think i’m that helpless, then i’m not sure how well you know me.” Turning over you ended the conversation.

He sat there, feeling like the helpless one.

You were gorgeous, your outfit was filled out in all the right ways. Bane couldn't help all the fantasies running through his head. As you gathered the rest of your things and said. “Hope you enjoy the party. I’ll see you later.“ Then left the house.

It infuriated him to no end. He was doing this for your protection. He saw what happened with other villain's relationships when they were made public. It never went well. He just wanted you to be safe.

Even with the life you had lived, that didn’t prepare you for everything.

He shook his head in frustration and went to get ready for the party.

The ride over was quiet and somber. He hated it. He missed your sweet banter and song playlists. By the time he got to the venue, he was a wreck. He just needed to get through this party and get home. So he could talk to you.

Making his way inside and sitting quietly at the Villain's table. If it wasn't for the delicate balance he had with the Injustice League, he wouldn't have bothered to come.

Looking around he saw all the same attendees from last year, including you. Of course being the neice of The Penguin was the reason you had even met. It was at this event a few years prior. He couldn't take his eyes off of you the entire night. Then when he managed the courage to talk to you, he spilled a cup of punch on you. He expected you to get angry and yell at him. But you laughed it off and went to the bathroom to clean up. Well big bad Bane followed you like a puppy and tried to help. This led to an exchange of numbers and blossomed into your current relationship.

Here he was once again. To anxious to talk to you, yet not nervous enough to stay away. So he gave himself an internal pep talk and went up to you. “Hey.”

You have him a surprising look of yearning. “Hi.“

Then you both tried to continue. Only to be interrupted by your uncle.

“(Y/N), I want you to meet someone.“ He said, gesturing to the Riddler next to him.

“Pleasure to meet you darling. I’ve heard so many good things.” He then held out his hand , which you took politely. Not expecting him to bring it to his lips for a kiss.

“It’s nice to formally meet you as well. Now if you’ll excuse me, I was having a conversation with Bane. “ You took a step closer to Bane. Then turned abruptly when you heard The Riddler scoff.

“His chat won’t be nearly as pleasurable as what I could offer you.” The smile he gave you was enough to make Bane's blood boil. But he wasn't the one to intervene.

“Listen here dick. It doesn't matter what you can or can’t offer me. I want to spend time with my boyfriend!” Your voice had raised in volume as you stabbed a finger into his chest.

The room grew silent, then giggles erupted from The Penguin. “You have to be joking minnow. “

An angry look crossed your face. “No, i’m not.” You grabbed Bane's hand and left the party. As you rushed for the stairs you could hear your uncle shouting for you. With a quick movement you hoped on Bane's back. “The quicker you get us out of here, the faster we can make up.”

He looked up at you, seeing the wicked grin that was on your face and tightened his grip on your thighs. “Darling, not even The Bat could stop me.“

Sooooo are we gonna talk about how growing up Oswald was definitely a chubby kid, a kid with hints of accent he picked up from his mother, a kid trying to learn the english everyone else at school was using but also the language his mother used when she got to angry or spoke to herself, a kid that wanted to grab and cling to roots his mother was pulling him away from and the idea of a father he thought was long gone? Like actually can we talk about how heavily he must have been bullied and called a penguin to the point he delights in hurting others (referring to the first episode) how kids would probably egg him on to get him in trouble and girls would ask him out as a joke or dare from friends? How he tried so hard and desperately to prove himself first by learning english and then good grades and then anything else so people would like him, and probably only began to loose weight when he realized his mother needed the food more then him (according to him, ask her and it be the other way around). How many jobs he probably got and tried to get before working for Mooney to help support his mother, always finding ways to give her all or most of his paychecks? How the only way people liked him was when he groveled at their feet. The way he people and bird watched interchangeably because that was the closest he got to being apart of those interactions his peers enjoyed? Are we just not gonna talk about that orrrr-?

GOTHAM NYGMOBBLEPOT HEADCANONS!! ☂️❔

hiii !!!!! i luvv telling people my headcanons so here are some of mine!!

☂️ STARTING WITH OSWALD!! 🐧

he's autistic and has bpd!!

he struggles with textures related to his suits so he tries to get them all in a favorable texture, he loves silk and satin, cant stand velvet

left handed

he struggles with impulsive suicidal/self harm ideation due to bpd, when triggered by things he can spiral easily and become overwhelmed which causes the impulsive ideation

he likes most foods but finds some absolutely unbearable and refuses to eat them.

he has anger issues from his autism!! he gets overwhelmed which turns into rage (like me)

he lovess food, he loves trying food and is willing to eat anything ed makes about 98% of the time

if his clothes feel too restricting he will wear ed's because theyre bigger on him, but only around the house, never anywhere else

he's always been chubby even from childhood!! and was fat moreso season 5 and onward, especially after finale!

he struggles with gender identity but chooses not to label himself much, but if it were put into a term, mainly genderfluid. he uses both she/her and he/him interchangeably. lesbian freak. she is also uniromantic and is only in love with ed!!!

he has a very low self esteem and has a hard time looking in mirrors sometimes, especially after hurting his eye

he gets headaches very often but they aren't very debilitating. they are usually triggered by potent scents and lights

(secret headcanon i have he has POTS shhh)

he sometimes smokes weed when the pain in his leg is too much to handle and pain medication isn't helping

he wont ever say it, but he loves being cared for

❔ EDWARD NYGMA TIME!!! 🦉

he has npd, autism, and osdd!! he is a narc but not in the eww narcissists way, in the actual personality disorder way!!

severe sensory issues, especially towards lights and textures

hates the texture of grass

right handed

needs a near constant stream of npd supply, even if its in small ways like praising his riddles, ideas, calling him smart, etc

oswald listening to him intently is like a form of supply for him, feeling listened to is like supply

he uses she/her and he/him interchangeably like oswald, and discovered her gender identity in arkham (the last time she went for a decade...sad face), transgender lesbian!!

very very selective and picky with foods

loves to take care of oswald and cook, cooking makes it easier to cater to both of their texture needs, but they do occasionally eat out

loves infodumping to oswald about riddles and whatever is interesting him

nerm swana (turkish + arab specifically) !!

if oswald is smoking for leg pain u best bet ed is joining in!!!!!

loves to listen to oswald talk alot

he loves loves loves cats and pets the strays around gotham

he didnt ACTUALLY hate that oswald named his dog after him and found it quite endearing

they both love having meals together and talking about future endeavors

oswald runs the iceberg lounge after the finale, edward is also a co owner

they spend a lot of time together

oswald sleeps on the left side of the bed, edward on the right

edward helps oswald a lot when hes having problems with anger, he tries to be more logical rather than just trying to tell him to "calm down." trying to give him a solution and talking it through helps oswald more

oswald keeps candles and dim lights around the manor to help with ed's sensory problems related to lights, as well as to prevent headaches for himself too

edward helps oswald with his leg a lot, like reminding him to take medications or use his cane when needed. he is always there to remind oswald its okay to need help with things time to time

they both love listening to eachother

oswald likes drinking more than ed does, he loves gin and tonic, frozen margaritas, and martinis. ed prefers not to drink, but doesnt mind a martini either. ed doesnt drink on his own, only with oswald really

oswald became an occaisonal smoker after blackgate, using it to calm any anxiety he gets. ed doesnt like it that much and hates the smell, but he bears with it for oswalds sake. doesnt mean he doesnt try to get him to stop, though

edward loves oswalds size and constantly compliments him, he loves oswald no matter what weight he is and never comments on his body negatively ever

they both have tons of bodily scars

they are both very physically affectionate with eachother but dont really like being touched by other people at all, both are very touch avoidant when it comes to anyone but eachother

both use fem terms on eachother and refer to eachother with she/her a lot!! they both love being fem in private

ed's special interest is riddles and oswald's is penguins!!! eds always loved riddles and puzzles, while oswald learned more about them after the title was bestowed upon him. he also loves sharks!!!

Aaaaaaaa, look who's here~

This is a new character. The design may change, but for now he looks like this😌

I ask everyone to love and favor, Rosco~

This is not my character, so if you are interested, you can try to search for information about him. And now the facts related to the comic.

This tabby kitten is Felix's best friend, as well as Sheba's friend. They have known each other since school, when Rosco was bullied by his peers because of his excess weight (yes, he was chubby as a child), but, as you can see, he grew up to be a very powerful man. He, like Felix, is 32 years old. Although he is a bit dumb in the original, in our story he is quite intelligent. Because of his height, and in principle, physique, many are afraid of him, although in fact he is still a cinnamon roll. Like all characters, he also has a hard time, all thanks to the nightmares that often visit him.

Studying the Famous Cartoon Mouse, Mickey Mouse!

Here I'm going to be comprising a few sketches I've made to understand how to draw Mickey, his differences in body and shape to Oswald and other things!

Over this text is an old little sketched up study I made of him as a whole!

Most of these were solving an issue some may have ; drawing the silly mouse's snout :] I explain it with guild lines on even a plushie for reference!

Now for the different bodies and shapes between Oswald and Mickey! Despite their relatively similar shape language, the two's body shape and other details are often overlooked as the same! While Oswald in design eases in to his chubbiness and roundess, like a pair, Mickey's shorts mark down the difference very easily! Mickey is also taller and thinner, while Oswald contrast this by being shorter and wider :]

Millie and Oswald talk from time to time, mostly about their "spoiled" cats (they mean it in an affectionate way<3)

No one there is really close with Sarah, I mean there’s Dev maybe but she doesn’t want to make anything seem more than it is (I know this sounds like she has a crush or something but I mostly, mean in a platonic way, like she doesn’t want to make it seem as if they’re close friends when they’re less than that, I say mostly because I actually may make her have a “crush” on him for like comphet reasons) she's mostly just the sweet one and that's about it, she's a bit creeped out by Kelsey though, catches him staring a lot (y'know it's funny, usually she'd be honored if a cute boy was staring at her)

Julius restraining the urge to claw out Reed's eyes every group meet up<3

Julius also desperately needs a wheelchair (walking with crutches for such a long period of time gets tiring) but his parents can't exactly afford it

At group meetings Kelsey literally talks to no one BUT Devon (and well, Oswald) like I don't even mean he only has conversations with him I mean if he isn't talking to him he'll just be standing or wandering around looking lost and shit (he thinks the others seem nice but he can barely even make eye contact)

My AU's Kelsey isn't an entity or whatever he's just a weirdo and got into some concerning shit (kinda like Vanny basically) + Kelsey doesn't get lured into the suit, Dev was planning to but Kelsey got really apologetic and shit and it kinda made him feel like awkward and guilty, Dev was still kinda considering it but then Mick kinda interfered

Kelsey does go missing the same day he was supposed to die, Mick and Devon don't tell anyone about the fact that they were kinda the last people who were aware of his whereabouts, etc.

Either way Kelsey doesn't die (kinda) so that's the important thing

Kelsey has some weird mini Freddy Fazbear robot-doll thing that he keeps in his room, Dev says it's cool but Mick thinks it's, off(Yes, it's a Lonley Freddy, Yes, it's Alec)(when one of your 7-8th grade besties is trapped in some weird robot doll thing you have and you don't even know😋)
