Salutation
1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who never lies, promised ages ago 3 and at the proper time manifested in his word through the preaching with which I have been entrusted by command of God our Savior;
4 To Titus, my true child in a common faith:
Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
Titus in Crete
5 This is why I left you in Crete, that you might amend what was defective, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you, 6 if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of being profligate or insubordinate. 7 For a bishop, as God’s steward, must be blameless; he must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, 8 but hospitable, a lover of goodness, master of himself, upright, holy, and self-controlled; 9 he must hold firm to the sure word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to confute those who contradict it. 10 For there are many insubordinate men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially the circumcision party; 11 they must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for base gain what they have no right to teach. 12 One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14 instead of giving heed to Jewish myths or to commands of men who reject the truth. 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to the corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their deeds; they are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good deed. — Titus 1 | Revised Standard Version (RSV) Revised Standard Version of the Bible, copyright © 1946, 1952, and 1971 the Division of Christian Education of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the United States of America. BOLD ADDED FOR EMPHASIS
Hak Ja Han said, “True Father did the Las Vegas Providence for the purpose of transforming the Satan’s   city from hell to heaven.   A  total of about $42.8 million was spent at the casino by Hak Ja Han and 11 executives of the UC from '08 to  '11 →→ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=livw2ATh-3o&feature=youtu.be
as well as their income and expenditures at the casino. The balance was negative. The casino had incurred a huge loss of approximately $6.52 million, according to the data TBS obtained from a company that manages a casino in Las Vegas. An internal "LIST OF PERSONS FROM JAPAN TO LAS VEGAS” lists up names of Japanese believers, the dates of their arrival and departure, and the amount of their donations in dollars.  The list covers the three-year period from 2009 to 2011, and the number of believers on the list is 1256.
The total amount of donations is approximately 9.51 million dollars.
The answer from the Unification Church of Japan to TBS: "The information obtained by your program seems to be factually incorrect for our organization, so we will refrain from making any comments.”

How Friendship in Church Leadership Creates Unseen Influence
Discover the power of friendship in church leadership. A journey with an Alaskan pastor reveals the unseen influence that shapes lives beyond the sermon. #Leadership #Influence #ChurchLife
Lessons from the Journey of an Alaskan Pastor In the realm of leadership, the true extent of a leader’s influence often transcends the boundaries of official titles and perceived responsibilities. I witnessed a real-life example of this while serving in Alaska. I was serving as the Youth Pastor at the time. Our lead pastor served as a chaplain for the local fire department on top of his…

Elders Must Take The Lead -- Steve Vice
A longtime member of the Lord’s church said to the elders that a survey had been done that showed that our youth “who grew up in more conservative churches” were more likely to leave the church once they reached college age than those raised in not so conservative churches. This well-meaning member then suggested that we adopt a more “open-ended teaching method” that presented a challenging…

Working through the biblical story of Jonah and the church leader. Was reading through the Psalm of chapter two and stopped when I read this verse. How easily we get distracted on a daily basis from our calling to be faithful when so many things are begging for our attention. They may be good things but are they pulling you away from what is most important?

Subconscious Bias in Church
In the sacred halls of worship, where unity and love are preached, there exists a sobering reality—the presence of subconscious bias and racism. Despite the teachings of acceptance and compassion, these deeply ingrained attitudes can persist, challenging the very essence of what a church should represent. The subconscious biases that infiltrate the church often stem from societal influences,…

Our values are the most important things to us.
But yet what we do everyday doesn’t always align with what we value.
If we want to find meaning and fulfillment, what we do daily has to match our values.

World Mental Health Day on the Plant Your Seeds of Transformation Podcast
Understand your mental health better so you can do better and lead better. Your influence could save (or harm) someone else's life and mental health. Watch or listen to the Plant Your Seeds of Transformation podcast with Coach Donna Marie.
Today I, Coach Donna Marie, am taking some time away from the normal weekly livestream. I created a pre-recorded message to encourage you, especially if you are a leader, to consider mental health awareness seriously and intentionally. Ignoring mental health for yourself and for those who you influence can be very dangerous and cause much harm. Watch or Listen for what I shared on this. Happy…

Organizational Leadership (Exodus 18:13-27)
Tasks and functions are not ends in themselves, but will continually change in order to accomplish the results we want.
Jethro and Moses, by James Tissot, c.1898 The next day Moses took his seat to serve as judge for the people, and they stood around him from morning till evening. When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, “What is this you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge, while all these people stand around you from morning till evening?” Moses answered…

Leadership Insights From the Last Two Years
I'm graduating with a Master's of Organizational Leadership in a few weeks. The program couples academic learning with practical learning in a church context.  I was asked what were some of my top learnings from the program. The following are a few insights I gleaned from the academic as well as from the practical side:
1.- Leadership is a process. No one is born a leader, so you have to develop into one. The thing is, you can't build your leadership in one day, but you can build it daily. It is our choice to work on it today. It shows up in how we develop our character daily.
2.- Character is tested in the wilderness. When Jesus was in the wilderness, he was confronted. In the wilderness, we're all confronted over different things, and that testing reveals the integrity of our character. It shows good areas, but it also indicates areas of growth and development. Our work then is to lean into those areas and confront them. This is where we find our ability to change.
3.- There are two realities of leadership.
3.1 The Skills. We often think this is what leadership is all about. The skills are learning strategies, methods, new tools, attending conferences, reading books, etc. But really, what makes a person a servant leader is:
3.2 Their Heart and Character. This is putting others first, testing your heart, working on your thought life, on speaking words of life. For these, though, we have to look below the water line. We must ensure we have enough weight to sustain us below the water line so storms don't easily sink us. Think of an iceberg, the biggest mass is below the surface.
4. Owning it. First, owning your actions, words, and decisions and owning your response to the call of God in your life. Secondly, owning the moment where you are. It doesn't matter if it is your organization or business; own it because it's not someone else's organization; it's God's. And as children of God, we get to own anything He owns. Practically this looks like picking up trash when no one is around to watch me, stewarding company resources adequately as if they were yours, and being accountable for your actions. Ultimately, we own what we get to do with this life.

Neil Salonen! WIll you take my call about the John Marks & Washington Post articles?!
A February 3, 2017 post from Don Diligent, from the WIOTM archive:
http://www.tparents.org/UTS/DoH1/DoH1-13.pdf
(EXCERPTS OF A LETTER FROM NEIL SALONEN TO CHRISTIAN MINISTERS IN 1974)
I am writing to you on behalf of the Unification Church, which has an active group in your area…I am writing because you may be one of those who received some spurious information that has widely circulated by a few people recently.
One such document originated in Louisville, Kentucky, and purports to be from a group of interdenominational ministers and laymen known as the “Concerned Christians.”…    Mr. Riner is the author of the cover letter accompanying the statement.
A few articles by reporter Chuck Offenburger of the Des Moines Register appeared, in which the opinions of two ex-members of the Church were greatly dramatized…the most painful experience was not so much the article itself, but the trusting, somewhat gullible response from so many readers.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to write to the above address or call (202) 296-7145 in Washington, D.C. Even as I travel with the tour, I will receive the message and will be happy to respond.
In Christian love and fellowship,
THE HOLY SPIRIT ASSOCIATION FOR THE UNIFICATION OF WORLD CHRISTIANITY

REFUTING THE SO CALLED 'BIBLICAL' ARGUMENTS FOR POLYGAMY
Duke Jeyaraj Two years ago we uploaded this video on our Youtube calling Polygamy a sin. Here it is: Someone who watched this video put this pro-polygamy comment which I reproduce in full: Add a comment…To those questioning God’s approval of polygamy, let’s see what the Bible says. Abraham was a polygamist. Jacob, who later was renamed Israel (from whom the 12 tribes of Israel came) was a…
