Young kids love lol, Pure teeth rotting fluff, semi-proofread.

Ciel has brought his playmate home again, Vincent and his wife Rachel peek through the door on the kids playing, feeling scandalized at the revelation of y/n on top of their 6 year old son kissing him on the lips , As the kids pull away and gigle.

They both adjust and they lay down on top of him, their head on his chest, hand spread out and tracing circles on top of his heart.

After a brief moment of silence ciel wraps his arms tightly around them and starts speaking

“I dont know why you spend so much time playing with me instead of my brother” He pouts, and lifts his arm to start playing with their hair

They immediately sit up at his comment and hold his hands, making him sit up and look at them in the eyes

”Ciel, youre awesome! i would never trade you for anything else in the world” they exclaim, before hugging ciel and whispering words of love and appreciation like "youre the bestest" "i love you sososososo much" in his ear that the phantomhive couple cannot hear, but seeing the happy face of their son knowing that someone loves his entire being makes the couple think that, maybe, just this once, they can let this slide.

Their son might have sneakily gotten into a puppy love relationship, but theyre more than happy to approve his sons relationship with their future in law, and a future member of the phantomhive family.

Who Attacked the Phantomhive Manor?

I had previously wrote about this back in 2022, but I thought I could expand on it two years later. (If anyone is interested: https://www.tumblr.com/salty-protagonist/694488877301399552/who-is-behind-the-attack-on-the-phantomhive-manor)

In essence, I thinks it’s quite possible that the Phantomhive family organized the attack. I will answer questions as bullet points so feel free to look at the ones that seem interesting. :)

Isn’t Vincent Dead?

Think about it, is anyone actually dead in this series? Grim reapers and bizarre dolls are technically dead too but they account for half of the characters. Vincent could’ve come back somehow. But I don’t think that’s the case, he probably never died in the first place.

There are some instances through different chapters that support this theory, but let’s try to focus on those that tie back to the Phantomhives.

Tanaka is loyal to the Phamtomhives. So loyal that he sided with RCiel once the child came back. Before him, his master was Vincent. Considering Sebastian met Tanaka after the attack, the words in the panels above relate to Tanaka’s own experience. This may’be been regarded as a random motivational quote only if this wasn’t Kuroshitsuji.

About the death of Sebastian the dog, I had previously said why would random criminals not kill the dog if they were just after the twins and instead go through the trouble of putting a muzzle on it. But the dog is killed later in Vincent’s bedroom. Only people OC saw in the room were the bodies of his parents and a random blond servant.

Just for the sake of mystery, I will assume that there wasn’t anyone else in the room. So someone in the room that OC did see could’ve killed the dog. 🐕

What about the servants?

Phantomhive manor had so many workers for every task before the attack as we all know, with Tanaka being the head butler. While butlers do swear loyalty to their masters in this story (Sebastian, Agni, etc.) others have a higher possibility of betraying their master.

The other servants could‘be been working for a family member other than Vincent. This is quite a reach considering there isn’t much to know about the generation before Vincent. However, the servants did say that they had a surprise for the kids.

I think that because Tanaka is the one who mentioned the surprise, he was the one servants informed of about wanting to create a specific circumstance for the surprise which is just the attack. Because Vincent trusts Tanaka, he wouldn’t see it as a threat, which may not have been the case if it was mentioned by another servant. I’m not saying Vincent didn’t know about the “surprise” beforehand, but he may’ enjoy been deceived in about the details.

The blond guy from the previous question could’ve pretended to be dead after killing Sebastian. The blood splatters don’t match any heavy injury on his body.

Weren’t we shown what happened in the flashbacks?

Technically, but only from OC’s point of view. Before Ciels were revealed to be twins, all the childhood flashbacks were from his perspective too. So Yana Toboso was able to hide such a crucial information while leaving clues behind for the readers. RC being the first to go out to explore on 14 December without the readers not seeing anything, weird sounds and OC blacking out during transportation are all gaps in the readers (and OC’s) knowledge.

For transportation, considering the children were worth a lot more when they’re together, why did the kidnappers separate them and risk something happening to one? Why did RC reach the selling location before OC instead of bringing them together and saving on costs. And why weren’t RC’s tied?

They tied up OC’s legs while he was unconscious. Then they put him in a locked suitcase in a locked car with two kidnappers who were probably armed. Why wasn’t the same measures applied to RC.

Now, I’m not saying a 10 year old child was the one who coordinated the attack, but he may’ve more information that would make him not run away since he is “the true heir.”

Is twin Ciel really that suspicious?

Yes. Let’s focus on the ring. Why didn’t the kidnappers take it? They should’ve searched the kids to see if they have any goods or weapons on them which would risk the sale. Phantomhive ring is bigger compared to others as well.

This is a reach but it may’ve been a tracking device. In general, I don’t refer to Green/Emerald Witch Arc much in my posts. But, they discovered tracking devices within protection amulets back then. It can be an indirect hint to this.

For those who may think why Sebastian didn’t notice anything, it’s because he doesn’t have the detection skills for a tracking device. He was surprised to learn the truth about the amulets in Germany too.

This would also explain how RC was able to follow OC and his demon with Undertaker anywhere they went. RC reappearance was very well coordinated too. He went to the house in London because he knew OC wasn’t there. Agni and Some may’ve been unexpected variables or UT knew they were there before sending RC. Additionally, RC was able to appear just as OC entered the mansion and the police came in really timely manner. All of these suggest that there could’ve indeed been a tracking device.

No normal child would examine his father’s corpse for jewelry upon first impression. The ring was probably given to RC by someone else. But he instructed to tell OC otherwise.

Who attacked the Phantomhive Manor?

I think the real culprit was Claudia or any family member who had the blood of Phantomhive. Maybe they’re yearning for immortality and require quality material for UT’s research. Maybe they’re aggrevated regarding something that happened in Germany, or with Queen Victoria. But it’s likely a Phantomhive (other than RC) attacked the manor with the help of servants, UT and possible outside help.

The scene from when twins were even younger could even be a foreshadowing to the attack. OC kept waiting for revenge and to find the culprits, but it was someone he knew and trusted in reality.

I’m taking this story as evidence because similar things have happened in the story. One example I liked for direct foreshadowing for the twin theory is Maurice Cole (bad guy, make-up dude, Weston academy) who said he did those bad things because he felt insignificant in his brother’s shadow.

Sebastian being some rich ceo and ciel being the son of Vincent and Rachel Phamtomhive and his brother who’s also famous, so then means he gets dragged to a lot of party’s and while his family is well known he’s just kinda there.

And while at a party he gets drunk and ends up flirting this guy and next thing you know, he’s in bed with this guy(aka Sebastian) but he leaves right afterwards and pretends it never happens and then one day while he’s with his dad and brother at some important meeting, he runs into Sebastian and it’s super awkward but Sebastian wants it get to no ciel better.

Our Ciel Will Die By Drowning.

The title is self explanatory as for what this post is.

We have reached chapter 201, there is still a long way to go. But through all the content we were given something is apparent: our protagonist (short one) will die before the series ends.

Now, I honestly think that it will include Sebastian (duh) and have something to do with the contract. But my gut says that our Ciel’s death will not be fully controlled by the demonic involvements.

Before I begin justifying why I think Ciel will die by drowning, I want to make it clear that I feel as though until we reach the hotel mini-arc, a lot of puzzle pieces will still be missing so any detail involving characters (other than Sebastian) are simply speculations.

Ophelia

In chapter 23, the police come to the Phamtomhive Mansion in order to conclude the crimes committed Indian Butler Arc by Agni. While touring the mansion, one of the police stalk about the drawings on the wall. He goes into detail about the painting titled “Ophelia”

Ophelia a is from Shakespeare’s Hamlet who upon learning that Hamlet didn’t choose to end up with her, goes out to collect wild plants but fall in water and drowns. (It is also written as a note in the English fan translation I found)

In the following page, the painter Waterhouse is also mentioned. I wasn’t able to decpiher which painting the police guy was talking about as he didn’t give a name and the image in the manga isn’t enough. Waterhouse has painted Ophelia as well.

Although it would be easier to assume this is just a silly reference, every little detail in this manga series can create avalanches that end up characters who have been presumed to be dead for years reappearing.

The rejection can be Lizzie’s relationship with them and choosing R!Ciel after everything. Or it can be applied to broader sense and be accepted as everyone turning their backs on O!Ciel after the true heir shows up.

Lau’s Omnipotence

Lau is known for always saying something serious then following it up with a random funny remark. It is still very noticeable that he always says less than what he truly knows. The following panels follow each other (right to left). They are in different pages so I had to separate the images.

(In the official translations I have, it uses “to drown” in the second panel directly in my native language)

There is a picture of someone (probably OC) sinking in a body of water (bog, as it is said here). It may appear as just a metaphor but the image and Lau’s general creepiness makes it seem like a variety of this will actually happen.

Anime Opening 1

The anime is very different from the manga with there being additional characters and storylines. Still, many of them still bear similarities to the newly introduced characters in the series. However, for this post I believe the anime is not a good justification for the theory. So I will just stick to the opening of the first season.

There is this very obvious scene of O!Ciel drowning. That, of course, is the first thing that needs attentions. Afterwards, Sebastian does extend his hands in as though he is trying to save him. But there is no scene that shows he does so. This detail only counts towards their contract’s dynamic. But it leads my to believe that this moment will be the “checkmate” for O!Ciel. Sebastian will no longer need to stand behind him anymore kind of thing.

The seconds evidence is the scene that comes just before the one mentioned in the paragraph above. O!Ciel is seen floating in a lake with flower petals falling. Notice how he is positioned to look like a body that’s in a coffin. He is motionless as well. Some religions/myths include water bodies being passageways for afterlife so it may be symbolizing that.

The flower patels are not from a white lily (the flower that symbolizes death and is seen on every grave in the series), but they are plain white petals. Them falling could be to create the same effect as in Madam Red’s funeral, when O!Ciel made red flower petals fall down in the church. I also think that the flowers make the image be perceived as the Ophelia paintings.

I wrote this post 5 months ago, and been saving it as a draft but I decided to share it after all since I couldn’t continue writing it for a long time. There may be a part to in the future as this only includes evidence until the cruise tragedy and I think there can be a lot of clues after that too. Anyways, thank you for reading.
