Wrong ideas for Liam’s next PC if everyone’s favourite lil halfling doesn’t come back:
Jayne Merriweather
A College of Tragedy gnome bard who’s secretly Chetney’s unknown child and who has now come looking for Dad, á la Kaylie
Lieve’tel Toluse
A second, smaller halfling fighter who may or may not be Orym with a stick-on moustache
Someone from New Jersey
An elf rogue from the Underdark who has never seen the moons before and has absolutely no idea why everyone is losing their shit over the little red one
Cinna Brightbow
Gilmore’s first boyfriend from back when he was growing up in Shandal
Literally anyone with a good INT score, please, Chetney needs someone to help hold the other party brain cell-
Nancy

Bar Shows and... Cinna?
Not the complete version of it but... I will complete it after today's episode. When I am not falling asleep on my chair. Hope you all like it! This is a raw version of the chapter.
She knew she had drank a lot in the latest party. And she was one to enjoy life and all that. Plus she was a performer! It was in her blood! But never had she ever woken up to a stranger ogling at her in broad daylight. Everyone knew each other in Byroden and this is no traveller who was new to the town. Where was she?
“You lost?” the stranger asked. “A lot of people seem to be for some reason.”
“What?”
“Where do you think you are?”
“Byroden?”
“Oh dear, oh dear…”
“What?”
“You are very far away from Byroden.”
“What the hell do you mean I am far away from Byroden?”
“Welcome to Issylra dearie.”
“I heard there was someone performing at the local bar. A foreigner who randomly appeared out of nowhere. Said she’s performing some neat tricks! Though some did mention they were dangerous too.” Prism said excitedly.
“And they said this in your… Apogee solstice survey?”
“NO! After I finished with it and was chatting up with them!”
“And what do you want us to do about it?” Deni$e asked.
“Maybe we can collaborate with them, perform and split the money! You did say you were running low on reserves!”
“Are we that desperate?” Ashton asked, uncertain about the necessity of this while they needed to find answers.
“Maybe some relaxation would do good?” Bor’Dor piped from the back as he tried to read one of Prism’s spells, Dynios giving out unhelpful comments at the fumbling.
“You think performing could be relaxing?” Laudna asked as she pulled out Shashimi. “I could always puppeteer! I am very good at it! Pate was mine for a long time!”
“Pate is… living?”
“NO! He wasn’t all the time! He came to life only recently. After I was revived from death!”
“I was a puppet for a really long time. She was very good!” Pate inserted from the sidelines.
“I mean, it’s not really a bad idea, I suppose. We all kinda have something we can do-”
“Say you and Laudna have something to do. The rest of us don’t.”
“And if it earns some coins, why not? At worst, we get to enjoy a show if they say it is as good as it was. What kind of performance anyway?”
“Everyone keeps saying it is a secret. Something that must be viewed and experienced. I don’t know. Sounds fun.” Prism shrugged.
“I mean, we are just gonna watch a free bar show. Nothing dangerous to fight, is there?”
“Someone’s throwing axes at people! I love them already!” Ashton exclaimed the moment he entered the bar and heard the telltale thunk of a sharp object hitting something.
“Any volunteers? Oh come on, don’t be pussies. No one’s about to get harmed! I do this and ice sculptures all the time!”
Orym froze on hearing the voice, immediately ran to the back of the group and clutched onto Deni$e, the flash of green recognisable anywhere. “Hide me. Hide me, please! What is she doing here? She was in Byroden! Of all places why here?”
“An ex of yours?”
“No, worse.”
“What do you mean by worse?”
“The one who caused the scar on my neck!”
“There’s none over there.”
“No! There is! You just haven't-”
“Hey! You volunteering?” the performer cut in. “I promise no harm will befall you.”
“I think my friend is just feeling a bit shy!” Deni$e said with a smile as she picked Orym up and dropped him.
“Oh! It’s you, Opal’s friend! Hello there! Want to try again? You did spectacularly last time!”
“Uh. Umm… hi? Cinna? How are you here? I thought you never leave Byroden, ever.”
Ashton picked Orym up and marched him up to the front. “You want to chat her up, chat while performing.”
“I don’t know. Landed up here randomly. The barkeep found me and needed an entertainer and I needed the coin. Here I am. Now, I think you know what to do! Stand still and let me do my magic.” She winked as she started tying the ropes and moving back to her knife display.
“How about we switch things up a little? You choose the knife and I’ll throw it!”
“Oh god I am going to die today” Orym muttered as he tried to shrink himself as much as the ropes would allow him to. He could hear the rest of the group, and the crowd cheer, hoot and shout out different knives and waiting in bated breath as Cinna chose the knife.
“Now, will the halfling live, or will the halfling die?!” She deftly threw a knife towards him. He flinched on instinct but it never hit him. He looked down to find it right between his legs, the same position as last time and shivered. He knew she was good but it doesn't mean that this shit isn't scary.
“Where did the tinman go? I missed him the last time.”
“Umm… Tinman who?”
“The dwarf?”
“Oh, Dariax?” Orym side-eyed Deni$e before shrugging as much as the rope allowed him to. “He is still in Tal’Dorei if my guess is right. With the others.”
“The faun too? She was great in bed by the way.” she winked as she threw a second knife right over his head, followed by a third one right beside his foot. The crowd started cheering louder with each successful hit.
Orym blushed. “I don’t know where she got displaced, actually. No clue whatsoever.”
“The flying blue one?”
“With the dwarf.”
“At least you don’t have the sweats this time.” she smiled as she threw another knife.
The next few knives came in quick succession after that, not really letting the noise in the surroundings bother her. Ashton saw the halfling starting to relax a little and smile. Maybe he did need this too
