Princess Emiliana Adalia Elen Riannon of Cintra, eldest daughter of Princess Pavetta and Duny or now known as Emepror Emhyr Var Emesis has struggled with control for as long she can remember.

She didn’t know what she was capable of and didn’t wish to find out. After the death of her parents, Emiliana was raised by her grandparents who keep a close eye on her and trained by Mousesack.

She grew up along with her twin sister Cirilla, the two sisters were often never without the other and always did everything together.

13 years later, Emiliana has blossomed into a beautiful young woman and starts to transition in a young woman. Many Nothern Lords seeks out her hand in marriage, but Queen Calanthe has no intention on letting either of her cubs out of her sight.

That would all change when Emiliana comes across a certain Vicovora solider who is on a secret mission for the White Flame; keep a close eye on the Prinesses and take note of Cintra defenses

When Cahir meets the Princess he has no idea who she is at first and grows close to her. Over the next few months the two begin to grow close to one another unknown of each other true identities.

When Niffagaerd invades Cintra, the two found find themselves seeing hard truths for the first time ad find themselves on opposite sides.

Now, as Emiliana is on the run with with her twin Cirilla she tries her best to remain unnoticed and hide from Cahir. While, Cahir searches for his princess day and night never giving up the hope.

Would he find the Princess and deliver her to the White Flame or would he find his mission impossible. How would the Black Knight complete his mission when his heart was beginning to cloud over his head.

Soon, he would find his love for the Princess too greatly to ignore and find himself doubting his loyalty to Emhyr.

If there was anything mores scary then betraying the White Flame it was falling in love with his daughter for the Great Sun was arduous of his daughters and kill anyone he thought that was a threat or uncconvinces to them.

Would Ciri really let fake Ciri and Emhyr continue to trick Cintra?

I know many think that Ciri prefers to be a witcheress, it makes sense she never shows interest in recovering her kingdom, not because she doesn't care about the fate of her homeland but because the amount of trauma and persecution she faces doesn't give her time or mental clarity to think carefully what to do, Ciri is a girl who has been constantly dragged by the tide of events and decisions that others make for her. But what would happen if, after healing emotionally and managing to control her power, she decides that she wants to recover her crown? What will she do? What will happen when, upon arriving in Cintra, he sees a false Ciri? When they tell him that a girl who pretended to be her married the guy who invaded his country and caused the death of his family? And if he discovers the real reason for the invasion of Cintra because her own father valued what a piece of paper and the words of a dishonest magician said more than the well-being of his daughter?

It would be a disaster and I don't think like many that Ciri is just going to turn around and never come back, she's going to be furious with Emhyr and she's going to want revenge, I remind you of Ciri's time with the rats, she's no stranger to spilling blood because it is upset, although I got over that phase seeing your biological father who tried to rape you to engender the king of the world living a full and happy life while your own life thanks to him has been hell can return it to that phase again.

I don't feel sorry for Emhyr at all when he faces the consequences of his vile acts motivated by a mere prophecy, that idiot was lucky that the author of Witcher wanted to end the saga quickly because another writer like George R.R. Martin would take decades to explain the consequences realistic to make decisions based on prophecies especially if you are in a position of great power with people who depend on you. Emhyr could take on his magically powerful daughter and a bunch of rationally pissed off people, looking for his head while not forgetting that his own people won't be happy that their ruler dragged them into a war with a nation they could have peacefully annexed by their marriage. with Pavetta otherwise he would have been obsessed with forcing his daughter to give birth to a son/brother who would supposedly save the world but in the end he did not have the strength to carry out the act but even so he chose to usurp his own daughter as how did the usurper with him, and give his inheritance to a young woman similar to her with whom he fell in love, I know it is more complicated than that and it was at that time the only way Emhyr saw to solve the mess he got everyone into But it doesn't change how that not only ruined Ciri's life but also that of hundreds who couldn't claim justice because they chose to be loyal to Queen Calanthe's granddaughter when that girl was an impostor.

The only one I really feel sorry for is false Ciri, she was a girl who lost everything in the war and unlike Ciri fate did not magically bind her to a monster hunting protector, that girl had to go through refugee camps and then through the child labor until being kidnapped and forced to assume the identity of another person who could die because no one is going to look for her because everyone thinks it's you.

That girl had to get used to a different culture while having to look like a Cintrian princess, most likely her life before the Cintra massacre was not very good because of how she clung to Lady Stella, Emhyr and her role as Princess Cirilla for the sake of it. comfort that each one gave her, and she refuses to give it up even if the real Ciri rightfully demands it, it would be a tragedy to see these two poor war orphans face each other.

And I think that the Cintrians themselves are going to treat her as a prostitute of the emperor who took the place of her true princess without empathizing with her tragedy.

I'm reading Baptism of Fire and I REALLY need to know. Where is Ciri's claim to sodden? When Milva's discussing the rumours about her being in Nilfgaard and whatnot she talks about how Ciri will be her lady and it's land that will be granted in her dowry. However I can't seem to figure out where this "duchess of Sodden" claimant title comes from? And even if she were a duchess of sodden it wouldn't make sodden part of the empire because sodden is ruled by Foltest through being the son of Sancia, sister of Ekkehard of Sodden who was ruling sodden until his passing. So like? Any Ciri scholars got any ideas because as a Temerian scholar i am stumped.

Ironically, the Cintran counterinvasion has been cited by historians as a main contributing factor that weakened the Nazairi state enough to allow the later invasion to take place: a move that put Nilfgaard at the foot of the Marnadal stairs and on the road to Cintra itself.

Today however, remnants of the sack can mainly be seen in the form of the replica of the statue to the local god Verita, the original which was carted north by Rivian troops and can now be seen in the lyrian state museum.

Happier days in Cintra

Emhyr was originally supposed to have a beard, but the drawing came out very... religeous... and since Emhyr resembling Mary fits my internal narrative a lot better than Emhyr resembling Jesus, imma stick with it this way.

The ratty fur blanket over Emhyr's knees is inspired by a pelt of some poor unidentified animal I inherited from my great grandmother that was recently lost in a fire. I hated the thing, but it had sentimental value, so I am miffed.

Hot take but these two aren’t and never were friends. THIS IS NOT WHAT A FRIENDSHIP looks like!!!

So to explain myself, I’ve read many takes on their relationship but I’ve only ever seen very few people point out how shallow this so-called friendship/queer attraction/whatever was. Not only shallow but also extremely one-sided.

Francesca never gave two shits about Fringilla. She used her to bring all her people to safety at Cintra and then tried to turn her against Cahir at every turn. She was literally manipulating her in most scenes by pointing out Fringilla’s weaknesses and indirectly causing drama between her and the Nilfgaardian generals, Cahir included.

Finally, when she has the baby, this chick has the audacity to tell Fringilla the deal is off while chilling in bed in the apartments in the PALACE!!! provided to her by Fringilla in return for the elves’ help in the Nilfgaardian war. So the moment she has what she wanted, the first elven baby in decades, she tells Fringilla to go screw herself while expecting to still continue living in Nilfgaard’s luxury....

FURTHERMORE, she knows perfectly well Fringilla is in some deep shit with the generals (she literally asks “trouble with your men” in 2x03) and could easily be punished by Emhyr if she screws up even more after Sodden? So what does Francesca Findabair, gracious queen of the elves do? She twists Fringilla’s accusatory words in 2x07 by saying they’re not hers but Cahir’s (YET AGAIN manipulating her) and then she sells Fringilla down the bloody river, knowing she could end up killed (and the generals were planning to throw her under the bus once Emhyr gets there) since the elven pact just fell through, thanks again to Francesca. 

And Fringilla? Well, it’s exactly Francesca’s sudden decision to end their deal that makes her even more desperate and forces her into massacring the generals before they could talk shit about her to Emhyr. Still too late cause he already knew and has her arrested anyways. And Francesca actively contributed to that downfall.

So how can people look at this and say they cared for each other at all?? If that’s what friendships look like, I’ve been living a lie my whole life.
