Euphoria. Thats the only word you can use to describe the feeing of winning the champions league. The months of training had been worth it. Every drop of sweat, every tear had led you to this moment. When you hear the final whistle you are searching for Keira. Your Keira. Well not yours but sometimes if you stopped thinking so much you could imagine that she was yours. Every lingering touch and whisper that was for you and you only made it especially hard to stop your imagination running away from you.

She had joined barcelona a few months ago and once she saw you she was truly amazed at how someone could be so beautiful. Cameras didnt do your long full eyelashes, your lips, your perfectly carved eyebrows, your smile, your cheeks, your dimples, your freckles or your eyes justice. You were undoubtedly the most beautiful person she had ever seen in her life. If the only thing she did while at barcalona was get to know you she would’ve been absolutely fine with it.

“Y/N!” You hear shouted out from your favourite girl. You quickly turn around and run up to her to jump into her arms. You place your forehead against hers and just take in the moment with your favourite person. Your suddenly pulled away from your moment by Mapi who had jumped onto the both of you sending you tumbling onto the grass. “MARIA!” you yell out at her while standing up helping keira get to her feet before chasing her yelling at her while laughing at your friend. “TE ODIO” is the last thing she hears from you before her attention is pulled away from you by Lucy clearing her throat behind her. “Still in denial?” she asks amusement evident in her tone. “Leave it.” Keira threatened the taller girl “But im not.” she whispered while walking away from her to the rest of the team so she can celebrate, and maybe be closer to you.

With her limited spanish knowledge all she knew you were talking about was double and imagining something. “Hi” she says quietly, not acting like herself, to the both of you. “Hola.” you and mapi say in unison you turning red at the fear of the girl infront of you knowing what you just said. “Im going to go see ingrid, bye.” mapi says sending you a wink. “Do you have the address of where were going tonight?” Keira asks urgently here eyebrows beginning to furrow. “Sí, will i send it to you?” You ask the girl who quickly thanks you as you look down at her figeting hands that are beginning to pick at the skin on them. “Dios mío keira stop that.” you say while grabbing one of her cold hands in your contrasting warm ones. You notice there was a small cut that was bleeding on her ring finger. “Keira ill get you a plaster i have one in my bag. Vamos.” you say while holding her hand and and slightly dragging her with you. Once you make it into the changing room you were both the first in there. You sit her down in your spot of the bench and look through your bag while mumbling something under your breath that keira couldn’t quite understand. “Ok i have it.” You say while holding it up as if it was a trophy. Keira just laughs at you with what Lucy described as heart eyes. You kneel down in front of her and slightly spread her legs without realising and resting your arms on her thighs. You inspect the cut very close your body weight starting to lean heavily on Keiras thighs as she tenses at the contact with you. You place the bright pink plaster on her finger with a kiss. “Ok perfecta Keeks, vamos!” you say excitedly while dragging her back to the pitch to continue the celebrations with your teammates.

“Ven aquí girls!” you hear your captain Alexia shout over to the rest of the team. “Tonight we will go out to celebrate. See you later girls.” She says authoritively to the group. “Sí captina, gracias!” you say to your friend while hanging off her side and placing a kiss to her cheek, keiras eyes followed your movements as if it would be the last time she would ever see you. “Keira!” She hears being shouted into her ear by no one but her fellow english player. “You alright keira?” Lucy asks tentatively following her gaze to you. “Fine.” she mumbles shortly to her friend. “You do realise they are just friends, right? Ale is taken anyway.” lucy says while placing a reassuring hand to her friends back. “I know but i wish i could get that type of attention from her.” Keira pulls her eyes away from you and finally looks up to her friends worried expression. Lucy pulls her smaller friend into a hug to help comfort her even though she knew deep down the only hug that could get her to stop thinking about this was yours.

Later on at the bar you were all dressed up, out of your usual tracksuits anyway, and had completely forgotten about any responsibility that you had the next day too focused on the present. The beat of the music almost shaking the room while warm bodies pressed aginst eachother due to the amount of people being there. once you arrive, you are quickly escorted to a more private room with less than half the amount of people in it. Your main goal was to find Keira. Your keira. You were looking around the room, trying not to get caught up in a conversation but soon enough Mapi had distracted you and you both ended up on the dance floor.

Unknown to you this was a plan that had been set up between Lucy and Mapi after they had told eachother about each of your feelings for the other. The plan was to have you and Mapi out dancing together, and then Lucy and Keira would join you both. After all four of you stayed together for a while Lucy and Mapi would come up with an excuse to leave you both there, alone. They just hoped everything would go how they wanted it to.

You and Mapi were dancing to whatever song was on getting lost in the beat of the music you not realising that she was slowing edging you both closer to Keira and Lucy. Once you saw the girls you let out a squel of excitement and drag Mapi over to them. “Hola chicas!” you yell happily at the girls infront of you. “Hey!” they say in unison laughing sightly at your excitement as the four of you continue dancing you suddenly hear a yell of “Woah keira whipped out the best moves tonight!” in reference to the english girls awkward dancing while she was next to you. Your head snaps towards her wanting to see exactly what she was doing. But instead you were greeted with a red faced girl standing rigidity beside you looking down at her feet. “Woah walsh forgot how good you are at dancing!” You hear ingrid say to her while wrapping an arm around her shoulder as you all begin to laugh at her, her blush growing darker by the second. Mapi quickly goes over to ingrid and removes her arm from around Keira. “Vamos Ingrid, deja a la chica en paz. ¿Recuerdas el plano?” You hear her say to her girlfriend. “Shit, sí. Lo siento Mapi.” she replies quickly. “¿Que plano Maps?” you question the girl slightly approaching the two. “dejarnos solos.” mapi says jokingly to you while pushing you backwards making you stumble into who would guess, Keira. You turn yourself into her and look up at her slightly flushed face through your eyelashes. “Hola guapa.” you say softly to the girl loving being close to her. “Hi” she breathes out. “Let me see your dance moves Keira.” You say laughing slightly as keira puts her head into her hands becoming embarrassed once again. “Come on let me teach you bebe.” You say while placing your hands on her hips a sudden wave of confidence taking over your body. “Y/n where do i put my hands?” she asks shyly. “aquí mismo.” you say under your breath while placing her hands on your shoulders. “Perfecta, keira. Move your hips more. Your too tense.” You say while eyeing her body up and down. You pulled her flush into your body and move her hips in time with yours with your hands. You keep her flush against you so your bodies move in sync with eachothers as you feel her move her hands from your shoulders to your waist. You place your head against her chest tucking it under her chin as your hands go around her neck. You pull away from her after a few minutes keeping close to her. “¿estas bien?” You whisper to the girl that was looking at you with a look you couldn’t quite read. “Im good, really good y/n. Can i tell you a secret?” she whispers back to you. “Sí. you can tell me anything.” “I think i have a crush on someone.” she says moving ever so slightly closer to you. “¿quién es?” you question the girl returning the action of moving closer to her. “i think you know who.” she replies cockiness evident in her tone. “i think so.” you say while closing the the small space between you.

It was everything you would ever wish for and more from a kiss with the english girl. Her arms fell further down onto your ass as she pushes her hips into yours. Your hand cups her cheek and lightly strokes it. The other pushes her closer to you by her neck deepening the kiss. Her tongue touches against your soft lips asking for entrance, you grant her it as her tongue begins to explore your mouth with a passion you had never once experienced before.

You regretfully pull away from her once the lack of air became a problem. “So who is the girl?” you ask her with a hint of sarcasm in your voice as you place your forehead against hers.

You pull away when you both realised you had spent at least half an hour just standing in the middle of a big group of people in eachothers presence whispering sweet nothings to eachother. She grabs your hand as you both walk over to the rest of the team that had been talking about the pair of you getting together since keira came to barcelona. “Hi girls!” Keira says to the group now the more confident one as you grip her bicep standing slightly behind her. “hello lovergirls!” Lucy yells out to the pair of you as a crimson colour takes over both of your faces. “Im so glad our plan worked Lucy!” you hear mapi yell out. “Mapi! You little liar, you said there was no plan! te odio!” you yell as she starts to run away from your angry glare at her as you begin to follow her yelling something in spanish after her. Keira just watches the scene, that occurred far too often, with adoration for the small spanish girl that she saw chase Mapi around at least once a day.

Soon enough you walk back over to keira and place your arms around her waist as she was facing away from you. “Hola.” you say to her. “hi” she says turning around to face you. “estoy tan feliz soy tuyo.” “what?” she asks her limited spanish knowledge showing. “Learn spanish and then you will know mi amor.” you say while cupping her face and lean in for another perfect kiss.

Per avere un’idea sui veri obiettivi che stanno dietro alla cosiddetta emergenza climatica, è necessario aprire uno squarcio sulla finanza internazionale. La Green Economy, secondo quanto aveva già scritto nel 2019 l’IIF è “il nuovo oro”.

Di conseguenza la preoccupazione più grande è verso il debito mondiale dovuto ai governi. Il problema per l’IIF è che questo debito elevato, con oneri molto pesanti, potrebbe indebolire gli sforzi internazionali per mitigare i cambiamenti climatici.

La soluzione dell’IIS è: “ridimensionare i flussi di finanza pubblica e privata”. Cita, a tal proposito, la stima dell’IPCC del 2010 secondo cui sono necessari 3,5 trilioni di dollari ogni anno per evitare che le temperature globali aumentino di 1,5 °C entro il 2050.

Insomma l’IIF è preoccupato perché il debito degli Stati nazionali potrebbe ridurre gli investimenti per l’emergenza climatica (IIF 2019b). Perciò, l’enorme debito pubblico mondiale, non preoccupa l’IIF per le conseguenze negative sui diritti sociali, come la diminuzione della spesa sulla sanità, l’istruzione, la previdenza o per la mancata fornitura di energia elettrica a due miliardi di persone nei paesi più poveri etc.

L’IIF si preoccupa invece per la diminuzione di disponibilità di risorse destinate a prevenire presunti rischi climatici. Insomma si preoccupa di non perdere “il nuovo oro”. Secondo voi Greta &Co non lo sanno, o fanno finta di non saperlo?

Discovery tests theory on cooling of white dwarf stars

Open any astronomy textbook to the section on white dwarf stars and you’ll likely learn that they are “dead stars” that continuously cool down over time. New research published in Nature is challenging this theory, with the University of Victoria (UVic) and its partners using data from the European Space Agency’s Gaia satellite to reveal why a population of white dwarf stars stopped cooling for more than eight billion years.

“We discovered the classical picture of all white dwarfs being dead stars is incomplete,” says Simon Blouin, co-principal investigator and Canadian Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics National Fellow at UVic. “For these white dwarfs to stop cooling, they must have some way of generating extra energy. We weren’t sure how this was happening, but now we have an explanation for the phenomenon.”

Understanding the age and other aspects of white dwarf stars helps scientists reconstruct the formation of the Milky Way Galaxy. Using 2019 Gaia data, Blouin collaborated with Antoine Bédard of the University of Warwick and Institute for Advanced Study researcher Sihao Cheng to make the discovery.

Over 97 per cent of stars in the Milky Way will eventually become white dwarfs. Scientists have long considered these stars to be at the end of their lives. Having depleted their nuclear energy source, they stop producing heat and cool down until the dense plasma in their interiors freezes into a solid state, and the star solidifies from the inside out. This cooling process can take billions of years.

According to the new paper, in some white dwarfs, the dense plasma in the interior does not simply freeze from the inside out. Instead, the solid crystals that are formed upon freezing are less dense than the liquid, and therefore want to float. As the crystals float upwards, they displace the heavier liquid downward. The transport of heavier material toward the centre of the star releases gravitational energy, and this energy is enough to interrupt the star’s cooling process for billions of years.

“This is the first time this transport mechanism has been observed in any type of star, which is exciting, as it is not every day we uncover a whole new astrophysical phenomenon,” says Bédard, Research Fellow at the University of Warwick.

Why this happens in some stars and not others is uncertain, but Blouin thinks it is likely due to the composition of the star.

“Some white dwarf stars are formed by the merger of two different stars. When these stars collide to form the white dwarf, it changes the composition of the star in a way that can allow the formation of floating crystals,” says Blouin.

White dwarfs are routinely used as age indicators: the cooler a white dwarf is, the older it is assumed to be. However, due to the extra delay in cooling found in some white dwarfs, some stars of a given temperature may be billions of years older than previously thought.

“This new discovery will not only require that astronomy textbooks be revised but will also require that astronomers revisit the process they use to determine the age of stellar populations,” adds Blouin.

The research is supported by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship program, the European Research Council, and the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA).

Hoy es la primer ocasion que hago una cita real algo de mi vida.

Todo venia bien hasta que hoy justo hoy al amanacer lo primero que recibi fue una notificacion que estaba despedido, imaginas como alguien recibiria esa noticia mas sabiendo que eres el motor del hogar, por esto no estoy aqui.

He pasado todo el dia recorriendo cada rincon de casa buscando la forma de ocupar la mente para no darle paso a la negatividad mental tras lo sucedido, creyente de aquello que la persona que va a tu lado es un apoyo es un co-piloto de tu vida pero no va al caso hay situacion que te pensar diferente como hoy.

Tras varias horas de ocio cruzamos caminos en algun rincon de casa (yo frustrado tras no saber que hacer tras luchar con la mente todo el dia) supongo que debe suponer como me estare sintiendo lo unico que recibi fue un gesto de rechazo que hizo que toda mi lucha haya sido en vano porque si estoy ansioso, triste, desesperado, asustado, senti aquello con una gota mas para rellenar el vaso, habiamos tenido discusiones que implicaban separacion hoy lo primero que pense fue si se quizo marchar cuando tenia empleo ahora que no lo tengo si se ira, eso fue lo que senti y es feo no entiendo porque las personas que dicen quererte las personas que tu quieres te hundan al avismo que no quieres caer.

Todo esto ha hecho que vuelva a caer no puedo mantener la calma y no me siento bien, coño.

No se porque comento esto, pero es el unico lugar seguro para expresar lo que sientes.

Soy la chica que dejaron en visto. Y pues sigue en visto. Me molesta porque le pregunte si le gustaría seguir hablando y me dijo que si quería incluso me dijo la primera vez q nos vimos que no me preocupara porque si él no queria hablar no me hablaba y después de la segunda vez estuvo diciéndome que si quería y después a las horas me deja en visto y nunca más.

No se cual es el patrón. No busco hombres casados ni con novia ni que me maltraten, se muy bien mis límites. Por más lindo que seas si haces algo que no me guste chai, fuiste, de hecho se que después de esto con este chico cuando pase un tiempo va a dejar de buscarme y me voy q estar riendo de esto. Otra cosa, deje de salir con chicos más chicos que yo, yo tengo 26 y salía con chicos de entre 19 a 21 y ya no los acepto porque no quiero nadie inmaduro. No es lo que busco. Este chico tiene 27, aunque con pocas ganas de salir de la comodidad de mi casa acepté. Me encanto y ahora quede 🤡

Quisiera saber cual es mi patrón o como darme cuenta. Se me hace difícil porque estoy tratando de aprender y hacer las cosas bien en cuestiones de pareja.

Verás, es más fácil ser un hipócrita y mentirte a la cara haciéndote creer que todo marcha cool y desaparecer cuando ya no te tiene de frente, para él es fácil pues solo tiene que ignorarte hasta que te canses y tu en cambio te quedas con mil preguntas sin responder ... una crueldad por su parte y al parecer es su "modus operandis" porque el que hace esto es que ya lo ha echo con anterioridad.

En tu segundo párrafo veo que ya te has puesto un listón en cuanto a "selección" y me parece correcto que te valores primero tu como persona 👍

En un mundo ideal, las primeras citas serían como en las películas románticas de Hollywood. Sabrías al intante si has conocido a tu pareja ideal o, al menos, a la persona ideal para pasártelo bien una noche sin compromiso.

Pero seamos honestos, una cosa son las películas y otra cosa es la vida real.

Si aún manteniendo una relación seria de varios años nunca terminas de conocer a tu pareja, imagina en tan solo 2 días.

Tiene que haber al menos una chispa entre vosotros. Si te sientes indiferente, haz caso a tu instinto.

Algunas personas dicen que la chispa aparece después, pero yo pienso que las primeras impresiones son muy importantes. Haz caso a tu interior

¿Buscas una relación seria o un rollo sin compromiso? La mejor forma de evitar malentendidos y desengaños es dejar claras tus intenciones desde el principio y pedirle a tu cita que lo haga también.

Unos pocos silencios incómodos son algo normal en una primera cita por los nervios. No obstante, si ves que no tenéis ningún interés en común del que hablar, probablemente no merezca la pena volver a quedar.

Y no busques una pareja porque se supone que es lo que has de hacer, hazlo porque realmente estás preparada y te apetece, si te obligas a una cita, aunque sonrías, hables etc el lenguaje corporal nunca engaña, tus labios estarán diciendo una cosa pero tu forma de actuar otra muy diferente y eso se percibe.

Hola! Sekarang lagi ada spare waktu 45menit (sebetulnya bukan spare sih, ini semua gara-gara salah strategi hari ini mau ngelab jadinya menunda semua measurement untuk dilakukan tomorrow instead dan jadi bingung mau ngapain lagi sekarang nungguin jam 16.45).

Anyway, mari kita recap weekend ngapain

is what I typed yesterday, tapi setelah itu kayanya terdistract buka email terus ada student discount rayban 25% off berujung scrolling dan naroh ke keranjang tapi ga di-co. lol imagine. tiba-tiba udah 16.45pm aja terus harus beres-beres tas dan bergegas ke Gail’s karena sudah ditunggu oleh Jordan Cita dan Gita mau ke Bu Yani.

Sekarang sudah the next day aka Selasa dan sedang di Mudrock Lab nungguin Lumex heated up, today will be another long day apparently. Akan nge-run di Lumex hasil ekstraksi ke-2 (yang menunjukkan bahwa belum semua soluble organic matter ke-extract di ekstraksi pertama). Wow ngomong apa Non sangat technical.

Ini post udah keburu dikasih judul sih, jadi kemarin kayanya mau mengangkat topik betapa sepinya hidupku, tapi setelah kemarin makan-makan di Bu Yani menyadari it’s not that bad actually. Jadi nuance dari postnya sudah berubah haha, but anyway gapapa lah ya tetep bahas aja kesepiannya kenapa dan gimana.

Mulai dari recount what happened in Asri’s life mundur dari semalam kali ya:

Semalam diundang Bu Yani untuk makan di rumah Abingdon. Agenda utamanya adalah Eid celebration + rapat prep mosaic sih. Makan enak banyak banget huhu sangat happy: ada ayam goreng balado, bakso!, sate maranggi, dan kikil… imagine… kayanya di Indo pun gapernah makan dengan 4 lauk kaya gitu (unless acara kondangan). Pulang mayan malem cukup capek dan langsung nonton 2rooms lagi episod MINSUNG imagineeee. Terus kayanya langsung ketiduran. Tadi pagi bangun mandi, ngopi, masak nasi karena semalem bungkus ayam balado dan sate maranggi. Sebetulnya Bu Yani nawarin bawa nasi sih semalam tapi kenapa ga kuambil ya… lupa.

Oh semalam juga mengalami kejadian tidak mengenakkan pas pulang naik bis X2 dari Boundary House stop! Pas kita mau masuk tiba-tiba si drivernya bilang “no food on the bus!” gara-gara emang kita pada bawa tentengan gitu kan, food box. Terus kaya yaelah pak, ga kita makan juga kali pas lagi di bus. Intinya lama gitu deh berdebat kami terus tapi dia kasih naik sih ujung-ujungnya. Ku tapi tetap tulis email ke bus companynya untuk complain karena menurutku dia being racist aja to us. Walaupun I know he’s just doing his job, but he can speak to us in more pleasant way, gausah rude kaya gitu. Wkwkw tiba-tiba jadi emosi lagi.

Selain melakukan hal-hal di atas, kemarin juga sebetulnya lumayan produktif karena berhasil nge-rehomogenize sample, terus ngerecord video buat Jardine sama mas felix juga. Siang makan di exeter turl st. Mayan happy sih karena seharian sunny juga.

Minggu… I just isolated myself and not talk to anyone basically. Well, not 100% ga ngomong sama orang technically karena pagi jam 7-12 full kelas DD dan 16 jadi ada interaksi digital. Terus sempat telp Mita juga. Ngechat di grup family juga. OMG ngechat banyak orang juga deng karena sempat upset masalah invitation Eid dinner gitu, ngechat @pikirasa, ishaidir, abi, wkwk semua orang w ceritain how upset I was. Ujung-ujungnya kayanya tidur siang, bangun jam 17 terus mikir “apa nonton drstrange aja ya”. Ngecek jadwal bioskop terus akhirnya beli tiket yang jam 20. Berangkat deh nonton di Curzon sendirian. Filmnya menurut w kurang menghibur karena make me think A LOT. Dan a bit horror. So personally I’m not a fan.

Nah di sini sebetulnya yang ku merasa kesepian wkwk. Padahal seharusnya there’s no reason karena jam 15nya sebetulnya ada acara picnicnya OXONIS di port meadow, tapi ya karena males aja berinteraksi sama orang jadinya I decided not to come. Yang berujung jadi mikir: “kok ku ga punya teman ya…” kebayang gaksi?? ku sendiri yang memutuskan untuk ga datang social event in which I got invited tapi in the end I felt sad because I felt lonely… tapi to come to such event would cost me so much energy! HAHAH such an infp

Nah sebetulnya alasan kenapa udah cape banget di hari Minggu adalah karena Sabtunya ku full day keluar rumah. Jadi ada acara olim PPIUK di Harrow School London. Awalnya ku daftar untuk badminton dan cerdascermat, tapi karena kaki cedera kemarin sebelum lebaran (si ankle tea), badmintonnya ga main. Pagi banget jam 8.20-ish Nadia sudah di rumah, kami ngopi dan makan brioche, lalu catch a bus to London. Sampe lokasi jam 11-an I think? Langsung main sesi prelim 1 dan kalah HAHA lawan PPILondon. Seru sih soal-soalnya macam “siapa yang merumuskan pancasila?”. PPILondon berujung menang jadi juara 1 in the end. Nah, di sini tu ku ketemu banyak banget orang: anak-anak Reading (mba Nufis, Ryan, Kurdi), ada Judith dan Gio juga.

Habis dari situ ku dan Nadia makan di Mani’s di Hampstead (senang sekali huhu karena waktu itu pas ke sana konser Eric Nam ku lagi puasa jadi ga sempat makan). Terus pulang deh. Udah sih, sebetulnya pas dipikir-pikir lagi ga ketemu banyak-banyak amat orang. Tapi energi habis banget aja entah kenapa, dan akhirnya memutuskan untuk nggak ketemu orang Minggunya.

Dah gitu aja kali ye reviewnya. Oh semalem sebelum tidur nyempetin nyobain bikin reels hasil rekaman hari Jumat kemarin lolz. Mayan lah ya. Cukup bingung mau dikasih bgm apa tapi muddy water udah paling pas (buset STAY garis keras). Kasih ide dong kira-kira bagusnya bikin reels apa lagi gitu. Biar bisa jadi konten kreator kan cool tu. Kemarin liat mas bara dapet dosen ter-youtuber (https://twitter.com/AleamsBarra/status/1523651807704416256?s=20&t=rf2jplqdWBH4Fz6jnnEYwg) – kali aja w nanti bisa jadi dosen ter-instagram juga gitu. Or ter-tumblr(?) I swear to God tapi jangan sampe deh warga fakultas nemu ni tumblr lol, cukup kita-kita aja yang tau yes.

El temible proceso de rentar un inmueble

Yo creía que el proceso para rentar un inmueble en la CDMX era la peor pesadilla de la vida adulta. Pero recientemente comprobé que no es propio de la CDMX y que tampoco es la peor pesadilla. Aquí va un poco de cómo ha sido mi experiencia:

Hace cuatro meses (cinco ya) decidí buscar una alternativa para mudarme a vivir a otra ciudad en provincia. Y comencé, como buena millennial, buscando en google: "departamentos en renta en…".

Los precios, por supuesto, me deslumbraron. Otro pedo 🤙🏼

Encontré un montón de opciones de casas y depas mucho más baratos que lo que actualmente cuesta vivir donde vivo en la Ciudad de México (vivía). Y el fueguito en mi corazón se avivó.

Las notas en mi celular guardaban listas larguísimas de enlaces con opciones para rentar. El reto fue mi desconocimiento de las ubicaciones. No es como si me dijeran tal o cual colonia en CDMX y yo saber si me gustaría vivir allí o no.

El proceso fue evolucionado. Primero veía los precios, luego veía con atención las fotos, porque ustedes saben que juzgo al libro por la portada. Y se vale. Entonces veía la ubicación y, como en la mayoría de los casos no ubicaba, comparaba cuánta distancia había del inmueble al Estadio de la ciudad 😅 (Es chistoso porque es real).

También me puse a buscar listas en blogs sobre lugares de interés. Primero los que la ciudad recomienda a través de su secretaría de turismo, los clásicos, y luego hice la lista de lugares que a mí me gustaría visitar.

Por ejemplo, lugares que siempre busco cuando quiero conocer una ciudad:

- Cafeterías

- Cinetecas

- Restaurantes cool o «con ondita» (whatever that means to me).

- Museos

- Parques

- Estadios (futbol y béisbol)

- Universidades

Abrí Google Maps y agregué todos los lugares que me llamaban la atención a mi lista «Por visitar», así me di cuenta que mi mapa se llenó de pines en una zona muy específica y entonces empecé a buscar depa cerca de allí. Gran truco.

También apliqué la vieja confiable de: «Qué hacer en ___» en YouTube, pero nunca quedo satisfecha con los resultados porque los Influencers siempre van a los mismos lugares 🙄

Así que me puse a buscar cuáles lugares visitan las personas que viven en esa ciudad, que no sean influencers. ¿Y dónde encontraría las joyas más bonitas? En los tags de Instagram.

Hice una colección de guardados en Instagram con todos los lugares que quiero conocer para desayunar, comer o echar café. Y el fueguito en mi corazón siguió creciendo.

A la par comencé un tablero en Pinterest con las inspiraciones de decoración por área de un depa:

- Recámara

- Sala

- Comedor

- Cocina

- Cuarto de lavado

- Hacks de organización

- Iluminación

- Terraza

- Estudio

Y todos los días iba llenando mis categorías, hasta entender (¿descubrir?) con cuál estilo me siento cómoda.

Y entonces sí, visité de manera virtual toooodas las tiendas habidas y por haber de muebles en México para ir armando en mi cabeza la decoración ideal.

Compré un par de cosas en oferta (jsjsjsj) y eso ayudó un poco a calmar mi ansiedad y angustia por la incertidumbre de: «¿en verdad lo voy a hacer?». Y pues sí.

Si se preguntan cuándo supe que realmente lo haría, diría que cuando compré mi sala y pedí que me la llevaran a la nueva ciudad. Mi corazón se detuvo un momento: «Lo va a hacer».

Long story short, pasé meses de estar muy inquieta, de querer que las cosas pasaran más rápido, de soñar e imaginar cómo quiero que se sienta esta nueva etapa y de frustrarme porque no llegaba la hora.

También me ocupé de armar mi presupuesto, de ahorrar e invertir mis recursos; limpiar mi closet, sacar lo que ya no quiero que me acompañe en mi nueva etapa y organizar por categorías la mudanza.

En mis días de descanso del trabajo estuve viajando a la nueva ciudad para ubicar sus barrios y descubrir si realmente me veía viviendo allí.

Tuve un par de citas para ver depas y encontré lo que buscaba 💖 En una semana comencé el papeleo. Me pidieron aval y referencias. Sí, amigos, el temible aval que en CDMX me fue imposible conseguir hace unos años.

Quiero cerrar este relato compartiendo esta experiencia. Conseguí aval de la manera más amorosa y bonita ever y me sentí plenamente agradecida, dichosa y afortunada. Mi suegro confió en mí y le apostó a este sueño que tuve una mañana que desperté e imaginé la posibilidad de mudarme a vivir a otra ciudad.

Operación Primera Cita

Denki por fin se había animado a pedirle una cita a Hitoshi y él había accedido. El rubio se contuvo de mostrar su felicidad, no quería espantarlo haciendo un baile raro.

Sin embargo, ahora tenía un nuevo problema. ¿A dónde debía llevar a su enamorado?

Era momento de convocar al escuadrón gay. Escuadrón que no existía, pero él iba a conformarlo en ese mismo instante. Armó un grupo de chat con las dos parejas homosexuales que conocía y él, por supuesto.

Enseguida envió un mensaje: “Chicos necesito su ayuda. Veámonos en el cuarto de Sero”.

—¿Puedo saber por qué de repente mi habitación fue invadida?

—Porque es la más linda. Sin ofender Todoroki, la tuya también es linda.

—Estoy seguro de que la mía es mejor —acotó Bakugo con un bufido.

—¿Para qué querías vernos Kaminari? —preguntó Kirishima— ¿Y qué es eso de escuadrón gay?

—Ok, doy por iniciada la primera reunión de este honorable grupo —anunció Denki elevando los brazos—. Los reuní porque se me dio con Shinso.

—¡Buenísimo! —animó Eijiro.

—¡Sí, genial! ¿Cómo fue? —Quiso saber Hanta.

Shoto aplaudió para demostrar su apoyo. Denki agradeció a sus amigos y prometió contar luego los detalles.

—Necesito que me ayuden con una idea para la cita. No sé a dónde llevarlo.

—Invitalo a comer —propuso Kirishima.

—No me alcanza para eso.

—Llevalo al cine —dijo Sero

—No, ahí no vamos a poder hablar.

—Shinso parece una persona simple —mencionó Todoroki con su tono de voz tranquilo de siempre—. ¿Por qué no lo invitás a caminar por el parque?

Todos lo miraron un momento. No era una mala idea, en el parque había varias cosas que podían hacer, como alquilar un botecito o pasear en bicicleta.

—No, no me parece —respondió Denki—. Tengo que impresionarlo.

—No, Kaminari…

—No seas idiota —habló Bakugo. Todos lo miraron con asombro. Aunque sonaba molesto, se veía tranquilo—. Dijiste que se te dio. ¿Y qué hiciste para que te diga que sí? Solamente tenés que ser vos mismo.

—Oh —Los ojos de Denki brillaron como si hubiese tenido una gran idea—. ¡Muy bien! —exclamó levantándose del lugar donde estaba sentado—. Voy a invitar a Shinso a ver películas de los noventa a mi cuarto. Y voy a comprar sus snacks favoritos.

—¡Así se habla! —animó Sero.

Todoroki volvió a aplaudir.

Un momento después, Kaminari se fue entusiasmado con la idea de preparar la lista de películas para mirar con su enamorado.

Llegó el sábado, el día tan esperado. Hitoshi entró a la habitación de Denki, vestía casual, pero muy bonito. Cuando el rubio le propuso ver películas de los noventa aceptó con gustó. Y para disfrutar más del momento, llevó dos pares de lentes 3D con plásticos azules y rojos, típicos de esa época.

—Espero que estés preparado para ver las mejores películas de fantasía del siglo pasado —comentó Denki.

—Y yo espero que hayas preparado buenas películas como Jumanji o Los locos Adams —respondió Hitoshi.

—Los locos Adams no es de fantasía, pero tenemos otras joyas para ver. Ponete cómodo. Compré muchos snacks y varias gaseosas. Tengo estos vasos que según mi tía también son de los noventa —Le mostró un par de vasos grandes con un logo antiguo de Pepsi—. Se ven viejos, pero están en buen estado.

Kaminari había acomodado su cuarto de modo que pudieran sentarse en el piso y apoyar la espalda en el borde de la cama. El monitor de la computadora estaba apoyado sobre unas cajas, un poco más abajo de lo que estaría normalmente.

La mesita ratona, ubicada entre la cama y el escritorio, estaba repleta de platitos con frituras y golosinas.

Shinso estaba muy feliz al ver la dedicación de Kaminari para preparar su primera cita, podría solo haber preparado un par de películas, pero no. Él fue por el paquete completo.

El rubio ya se había sentado, buscaba algo en su celular. Hitoshi se sentó a su lado y acercándose un poco de más le dijo:

—Ya que tenemos tantas joyas para ver, otro día podemos ver las que no alcemos a ver hoy.

—Sí, podemos —dijo Denki con la cara muy roja. Hitoshi sonrió ante esa imagen tan linda.

International team of astronomers discovers two rare binary star systems An international team of astronomers has identified only the second and third examples of a rare type of star system comprising two central stars orbiting each other, encompassed by a remarkable disk of gas and dust. "If there were a planet in one of these systems, it would be like the planet Tatooine from Star Wars," says Michael Poon, a Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Arts & Science's David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics and one of two University of Toronto researchers involved in the discovery. "You would see two suns in the sky orbiting each other. In addition, there's a disk around the stars. Picture Saturn's rings but much, much larger—with the stars in the middle." Such disks are referred to as protoplanetary disks because they eventually form into families of planets like our solar system. The newly discovered systems are rare because their disks lie at an angle to the orbits of their central stars. "The discovery of objects like these is important for our understanding of planet formation," says J.J. Zanazzi, a postdoctoral fellow in the faculty's Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA). "Planets are born from them so the existence of disks around binary stars shows it's likely we will find more planets orbiting binaries. "They'll also help us understand whether life can exist on a planet that orbits a binary star at an angle because of how that orientation affects temperature and other conditions." The discovery of the new objects, designated Bernhard-1 and Bernhard–2, is described in a paper being published July 4 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters. The lead author is Wei Zhu from Tsinghua University, Beijing, formerly a postdoctoral fellow with the Faculty of Arts & Science's Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA). Zanazzi and Poon are U of T co-authors. Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2 are so distant, we can't see their two central stars individually (such pairs of stars are known as binary stars). Instead, we only see a single point of light and measure the total brightness of the binary. The researchers identified the new objects by analyzing the complex and distinctive variations in brightness caused by their unusual geometry. A graph of those variations over time is referred to as a light curve and the light curves of the new systems match that of the first such system ever discovered—an object referred to as Kearns Herbst 15D (KH 15D). The light curves of Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2 dip to a fraction of their peak brightness—the former for 112 days every 192 days; the latter for 20 days every 62 days. These dips are the sign that one of the stars in each binary is moving behind the disk as seen from Earth. When the star re-emerges, the brightness of the system returns to normal. Also, when the co-authors compared recent observations with archival data going back decades, they found that both objects varied in brightness over much longer periods. Previous analysis of KH 15D by Poon, Zhu and Zanazzi, along with the work of other researchers, concluded that this long-term pattern revealed that the disk and stars were at an angle to each other. Because binary stars and their protoplanetary disks condense from the same vast, spinning cloud of material, the disk typically lies in the same plane as the orbits of the stars—just as the orbits of most of the planets and moons in our solar system lie on the same plane. Imagine two figure skaters, holding hands, twirling around each other while other skaters circle the pair; all are skating on the same plane of the surface of the ice. But KH 15D, Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2 are rare in that their circumbinary disks are at an angle to the planes of the orbiting stars. Because of this tilt, the disks wobble like a spinning top, a motion referred to as precession, as they move between us and the stars, causing the light of the central stars to dim. For KH 15D, that cycle of dimming could take anywhere from 60 to 6,000 years. The two types of variations in brightness combine to create the signature light curve of KH 15D-like objects. The discovery of Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2 was made when Klaus Bernhard, an amateur astronomer and member of the Bundesdeutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Veränderliche Sterne, analyzed data from the Zwicky Transient Facility. The ZTF's instrument surveys the entire northern sky every two days, providing data for countless objects over long stretches of time. Combing through the data, Bernhard uncovered KH 15D-like candidates. He then shared his findings with Poon, Zanazzi and Zhu whose further analysis revealed Bernhard-1 and Bernhard–2. Now that the researchers have found two more of these rare celestial objects, they are optimistic more discoveries will follow. "Just this month, Gaia released its most recent data," says Zanazzi of the space mission that has been observing a billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy since its launch in 2013. "And now that we have this model for these objects, we're hopeful we can use it to find more objects to add to the list." "We're also hopeful more observers will look at Bernhard-1 and Bernhard–2 for longer periods," says Poon. "We're lucky that KH 15D has been observed at a special time where its orientation causes the light of the central stars to dim. We're confident that Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2 also exist in this favorable orientation, so having more observations will increase our understanding of these rare objects." DUTCH COCOA POWDER BATTLE versi ngueh

Kembali lagi ke battle produk baking versi ngueh, si baker amatiran lulusan Youtube, Cookpad, dan pengalaman kurang lebih 5 tahunan ini. Di battle kali ini gue mau nge-battle serbuk koko dari beberapa merek gede dengan variasi harga berbeda. Sebenernya gue jarang baking yang coklat-coklat begini, jadi cuman bisa compare sedikit berdasarkan ingatan gue aja, ya hehe.

Van Houten

Seinget gue nih, ya kokoanya Van Houten adalah produk andalan mak gue waktu dulu masih rajin-rajinnya bikin bolu marmer ciptaan beliau. Mak gue gak pake takaran masukin serbuknya, langsung brus aja campur gak seriweuh gue yang kudu wajib ditimbang. Alhasil, bolu marmer buatan ibuk punya cita rasa coklatnya pait (banget) jadi gue kurang suka, tapi rasanya cocok buat keluarga besar mak sampe jadi primadonanya. Buat warnanya lagi-lagi seinget gue cukup gelap dan pekat (iyalah masukinnya dikira-kira aja).

Beberapa kali gue ingin beralih dari Windmolen ke Van Houten, namun masih goyah mengingat harga untuk ukuran terkecilnya udah nyentuh 15ribuan. Gak dulu, deh hehe.

Bensdrop

Bensdrop ini bubuk kokoa andalan penjual brownies premium di Instagram. Beberapa kali gue nemuin penjual yang share produk yang dipake ya rata-rata bilangnya Bensdrop. Katanya sih warnanya cukup pekat, rasa gak terlalu getir atau pahit, dan wanginya enak. Dari segi harga Bensdrop ini terbilang mahal, sebab pertama kalinya gue beli di pasar tuh ukuran 50gr aja 10ribuan. Seuprit :'D

Saking penasarannya gue olah tuh Bensdrop buat campuran chiffon coklat, dan hasilnya cukup memuaskan ekspektasi gue! Bensdrop warnanya masih agak kemerahan, wangi bangettt, dan ngasih rasa lumayan nyoklat yang selama ini gue pengenin kalau bikin chiffon. Sayang karena harganya yang terbilang mahal ini gue undur untuk bikin menu chiffon coklat.

Windmolen

Windmolen nih produk kokoa yang paling sering gue pake kalau mau baking kue coklat-coklatan. Tentunya gue pilih karena harganya termurah dibandingin merek lain, cuma 8ribuan untuk ukuran 80gr (?). Warna serbuknya coklat terang, cukup pahit juga kalau banyak makenya, tapi hasil baking memang gak begitu pekat namun masih oke.

Barry Callebaut

Perjalanan gue menemukan bubuk kokoa terbaik yang pekat, legit belum berakhir. Kali ini gue penasaran sama Barry Callebaut. Produk ini jujur baru gue denger ketika nemu di Syopi, dari nama Callebautnya entah ini masih satu grup sama si coklat couverture yang mahal itu apa engga. Harganya murah banget! Cuman 17 ribuan untuk 200 gramnya.

Bubuk coklat ini gue praktikan langsung sebagai campuran bolu marmer. Pakai 20 gram tanpa penambahan pasta coklat, hasilnya masih terlalu terang bak coklat susu. Jadi mau-enggak-mau gue perlu nambahan pasta blackforest buat warna lebih pekatnya lagi, tapi dari rasanya gak pahit.

Walau warnanya belum memuaskan dan memang seharusnya dicampur sama bubuk noir, namun gue cukup puas karena harganya yang amat murah itu.
