So I most likely have a minor case of Visual Snow Syndrome.
Let me first say that it is definitely a minor case of it, if you look up a video it’s definitely more intense than what I experience.
Immediate visual symptoms life decided to add to me at the character creation screen:
Light “film grain” (more similar to the noise in video taken with an older camera) in vision, more perceivable in shadows and lower light. When I was little, I would follow the “dome” of grain around my bed with my eyes at night when I couldn’t sleep
Vortex in the center of my vision in bright environments, like driving in the afternoon
Slight after images. They look like a ghost outline. Idk how it doesn’t stop me from playing video games in tournaments.
Waves of light while I’m trying to sleep. They usually don’t stop me though.
Other non-visual symptoms that point to it:
Family history of migraines (somehow I don’t get them on the regular like my mom and brother do? But when I rarely get them they’re ocular migraines? What the f*ck???)
Brain fog. So. Much. Brain fog.
Tinnitus (although worse on the side with the elongated styloid process, go ahead and look that up if your interested)
My train of thought usually is a traffic jam, consisting of stoping, starting, stopping again, getting a minute of steady driving where I think I’m good, and then stopping. Sometimes it does get on the highway. Then the ADHD takes the wheel and tries to make it:
Why this is peak comedy:
I’m a photographer who plays a lot of video games
Seasonal depression leads to me being outside in bright light whenever possible, but eyes are overly sensitive to bright light + the vortex thing
This is like the 3rd thing I’ve found out WAY too late I’ve had my entire life

Partially-kinged gridlock byzantine cuff
There are two layers of pink rings, and each layer is a slightly different shade of pink, so it looks a little different depending on which side you're looking at. The bottom layer catching the light and shining through the gaps in the top layer is a really cool effect IRL, sucks that I couldn't really capture it very well on camera.
