Were you watching in the early days or did you discover it later (or even recently)?
If My Mad Fat Diary means something special to you, it'd be lovely to hear from you, either below or in an Ask. Memories of the show, favourite cast members, outfits, songs, or scenes, and the fanfics or fan art you loved.

📽️ Enola Holmes (2020)
I didn’t actually watch this movie until after the second one was out. I was refusing to watch it on principle, although now I don’t even know what that principle was. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit more than I thought I would. I thought it was going to be another super corny, super woke Netflix movie. I was surprised to find I genuinely enjoyed it. I rarely try to figure things out as the movie goes on because I love the big reveal at the end. I do agree with some that have said there was too much going on, but I think it all works out in the end. I would watch this again.
Sex/nudity: 1/10 (breasts shown in an art book briefly)
Language: 2/10 (nothing too bad but there is some)
Violence: 3/10 (there are quite a few fight scenes but nothing too graphic, mild blood)
Overall rating: 7/10

I binge-watched Wilderness on Prime Video yesterday and it is SO FUCKING GOOD, so much happens it kind gives you whiplash but on a good way. The synopsis just gives away the first episode and a little hit of the second, everything onwards is a surprise. It really is a sister show to The Cry, but with a pop milenial urban vibe and lots, lots, lots of alcohol.
Jenna's fenomenal, as always (and oh my her wardrobe is flawless), and Oliver Jackson-Cohen surprised me a lot, he has a great emotional range and they work together very well!
I also loved to watch Ashley Benson again (PLL is a guilt pleasure of mine), Jenna and she really connected when they shared scenes.
Claire Rushbrook plays that kind of mother no one wants to have, that we can only properly love from a distance, but she still helps Jenna's character when necessary.
Really loved the show, another win for our beloved Jenna!

My Mad Fat Diary (2013 - 2015)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
TW: This series includes self esteem issues, depression, self-harm, and suicide. Please be aware of triggers prior to starting this show.

It’s hard to review things I already appreciated in my adolescence and remain unbiased, but this series holds a soft spot in my heart. There are only a few series that left me craving more episodes after their intended series that actually landed. I love this cast and every vital part they play.
The acting is tremendous, and left me in tears on many occasions. At it’s core, it is a young woman navigating the new world beyond her mental illness; but it is so much more than that. Friendship, family, renewal, alcohol, school, parties, illness, breakdowns, breakups, and breakthroughs.
I have even used the advice of the snarky psychiatrist Kester to advise myself through hard patches. There is so many things of value in this series, and I am forever appreciative of that.
This is worth a watch, but only if you:
Can tolerate heavy storylines around mental health
Appreciate the Cool Britannia aesthetic and it’s many playlists
Titles similar to this:
Skins (2007-2013) (You knew this was coming! Similar themes throughout, but a more dramatic, darker tone)
Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) (similar aesthetic, heavy themes of abuse and depression, drama)
Awkward (2011) (Comedy surrounding an misunderstanding that gives a highschooler the nickname of “Suicide Girl”)
