I watched the Clexa supercut (thanks @syngularitysyn!) earlier today to help with On the Ground. When someone says Lexa canon, I picture her fighting Roan, kicking the ambassador of the tower, shouting at Titus... but I had forgotten how GENTLE she is, too.

Sure, she doesn't bat an eyelid when Gustus beats up a guy, and she is ruthless when forced to be. But right from the start, she is so soft-spoken and gentle when she talks to Clarke. Even in front of other people.

It's even more heartbreaking than I remembered because it's like, "How did you survive your world, your past and scars, and still cared so much?"

No wonder Clarke didn't stand a chance... (we often joke about Commander hearteyes, but it wasn't one-sided!)
