Most of my favorite rare pairs are polycules but the ones that aren't are probably Tsuyu and Shinsou, Kendo and Mei, Jirou and Satou, and like all of my 1b ships. Mei, Shinsou, and Izuku are probably my favorite polycule atm though

Class 1A and 1B getting hit with a color palette switch quirk.

Anytime anyone touches another person they get that's person's natural hair color and eyes, the colors switch.

So let's say... Hagakure touches Kirishima.

She gets his hair color and eyes but the others expect her to have red hair and eyes and are clueless she's strutting around with black hair because all invisible.

The only person who knows is Ashido.

And possibly some other kids who recognize and figured him out from the Entrance Exam.

Yeah, Kirishima didn't change his hair until AFTER getting into Yuuei. Meaning, if you actually read the beginning of the manga, you can spot him in the background with his natural hair.

Anyways, the class finally know what Hagakure's natural eyes and hair colors are and it's like...

"... oh, that's nice!"

"I expected a different color."

"I never thought I'd see Kirishima with that color on him."

"Currently, Kaminari has Midoriya’s green hair. None of us are expecting having any of these colors."

Let's continue!

"Kacchan, you look like your dad."

"..." *Bakugou looks at Uraraka who is laughing at him*

"Iida, hand me your glasses!"

"DEKU, LEAVE ME ALOOOONE!"

"Ojiro, please close your eyes."

"Do I look that bad with black sclera and yellow irises?"

"No... you look dangerous. Like a cat. Just with the colors reversed. Because of your eye shape. And cute because of the pink hair."

Meanwhile, 1B is more chill because the colors in their class is less outrageous but...

You know what, follow up to all those posts I’ve been making about how lop-sided this war has been: because so far I’ve been talking about the heroes forces in terms of the massive crowd of nameless faces, but as one last post on the chapter, I want to expand on their advantages in terms of guys like Isana who just show up from those crowds to solve the problem of the hour too. Especially since I’m seeing people complaining about it, and how crowded and dragged out they make the war feel, and I feel like riding the coattails of those complaints.

Because the repeated sudden appearance of these side heroes really is the application of all my complaints about how outnumbered the villains are in this war. I’ve been saying, there’s 5 villains left, but all of the heroes are here.

The fact that at any time any problems the 5 remaining villains put forth could’ve been solved by someone in this series’ massive cast was obvious from minute one of this war. I always talked about it in terms of the hundreds of unnamed heroes, because I felt that scale spoke for itself, but that was always true for these named hero extras too.

I talked before about how AFO can’t beat the crowd of heroes surrounding him, but story-wise he can’t lose to them. Thus he’s not allowed to beat Hawks, even though we think he should; because if it ever looks like he will, some minor character will emerge from the crowd to beat him back. And furthermore AFO must eventually lose to those minor characters before they’re depleted while the crowd AFO can’t beat is still there. If the Shiketsu kids fail then it’ll be Kamui Woods, or the 1B kids, or Shinsou, continuing until he and all the remaining villains lose. It’s a tension-killing safety net the heroes have had the whole war.

The entire heroic cast of this series, dozens upon dozens of named characters, are all fighting the 5 villains left; and as much as some may pretend 1 or 2 are Aizen levels of unbeatable, they are simply not. This is why I keep asking for the greater PLF to enter the fray and finally even these odds for real; this war now is not an even fight and it hasn’t been since the ambush 30+ chapters ago.
