Danny: Hi, would you like to buy some cookies to support my education at Gotham Academy?
Bruce: Yes of course! How much are they?
Danny: ten bucks a box!
Bruce: Put me down for 50 boxes.
Danny: Really!?
Bruce: I have plenty of mouths to feed, trust me. By the way, chum, how did you get past the gate security?
Danny: eh, it wasn't too hard. Honestly sir, it felt like it was more design to keep people in then keep people out.
Damian from the second floor: I WILL NOT BE CONTAINED!
Bruce nods, ignoring Damian: Thank you for the feedback, my boy. I'll have it updated, but please feel free to come by anytime. I love cookies!
Bruce in the Batcave after Danny leaves: How did an uncoordinated nerd get past my systems!?
Tim: I don't know, but I've seen him around school. Get this, he's an engineering prodigy, but his family makes too much to qualify for a scholarship. They also don't make enough to afford his schooling, so he does odd jobs for cash. He creates gadgets for our classmates. That's a rouge in the making if I ever have seen one.

*tries to organize my thoughts*
*remembers i'm not in school and therefore beholden to neither heaven nor hell nor any man's grading system*
*joyously shredding & tossing all my carefully arranged 3x5 mental notecards into the air like so much beige confetti. raising my arms in victory, cheering raucously until i accidentally inhale bits of homemade confetti*
(*coughing up itty bits of paper like a cat evicting a hairball with a firm understanding of tenants' rights*) wait wat happens next

Weems: For our new anti-terror-safety class, you will defuse a fake bomb as a partner exercise. You have to be in sync on this.
Wednesday: Why would anyone want to defuse a bomb?
Enid: Focus, Wednesday. I think I got this. On the count of three, we will each cut our grey wires. One, two-
Wednesday: Wait, wait, wait. Grey wire? I only have green, red and yellow.
Enid: That’s weird. I have light grey, medium grey and dark grey.
Wednesday: Enid, are you colour blind?
Enid: Oh, yeah. I forgot about that.
Wednesday: Is that the reason you are dressed like that?
Enid: What do you mean? We are dressed the same.
Wednesday: Enid, my dear, my heart, my soul, my love. Don’t you ever say such a mean thing to me ever again. That was totally uncalled for.

I attended a seminar today on building community resilience to radicalization to violence. The lecture was really informative and covered a wide spectrum of different types of extremism, including political, gender motivated, racial, etc. I don't feel the need to share all of the information here, because the focus was primarily on radicalization in my state specifically, but I did want to share this specific part on identifying indicators that someone is on the path to, if not fully, radicalized:
If you see any of these in your community, call it out!
This is what has been proven to lead to mass attacks against marginalized groups.
If you see something, say something!

I watch a fun IG reel of a maid getting dressed in 1790 vs. 1890. it's great! both maids are in practical, period-typical outfits with a few simple aesthetic touches because Humans Like Looking Good regardless of social class. you can tell they are maids because they put clearly functional aprons on, and the 1890s one is wearing a uniform-style cap. also the caption says they are. love it
I scroll down
the top comment: "but what did POOR women wear? you only ever show rich people's clothes!"

if anyone remembers approximately 2 weeks ago when i was actively giving up on a homework assignment well
half of the reason it was so hard was because i somehow managed to do the assignments out of order?
i got my grade back (a whopping 4/9) and the professor called my methods "extremely unorthodox" and i agree with her

I’ve loved how unserious Kristen’s campaign for presidency has been, but genuinely the idea to make these big quests/world ending adventures, that the Bad Kids have been on, count for credit is such a good idea, and it tracks with these themes of “fairness” we’ve seen so far
Because we know at least one other group at Aguefort (the Seven) have gone on a similar quest and also likely didn’t get a fair compensation for saving the world, in terms of the school credit, surely there are more groups
All of these kids are literally going to school to be adventurers! They should have at least some experience in similar dangerous situations, so when they’re out of school they’re not completely out of their depths. Going on little quests, which I’m sure that most of these children have gone on, seem to amount for something, why not these world ending, earth shattering quests?? Give these poor kids extra credit at least!

there was something heavenlike about being able to just attend lectures in college and sit in a cozy auditorium while someone told you about interesting things for an hour and you just did this with your weeks. i wont lie to you. unfortunately they killed you if you dont remember every minutiae of what they said.
