so here's a no-war au i've been rotating at high speed inside my brain.......

claude never managed to escape the almyran court at 16, therefore he never made it to fodlan.... idk if he lives in the palace still or in a private residence in the capital city.

sylvain, meanwhile, fled an arranged marriage to the LAST place people would think to look for him, a notorious hater of hot weather. (well, theoretically, morfis would be less likely, but that makes it one of the first places smart people would check.) he's been fucking around in almyra for the past year or so, and on one of his Escapades, he happens to climb over Just The Right wall to encounter an EXTREMELY jumpy Prince Khalid.

claude's pretty sure sylvain's an assassin, but sylvain? hes just going "oh wow.... hot boy......." Surely Nothing Bad Can Come Of This
