First time posting here so I'll just start with this little instrumental tune I put together called Passing Through Donner's Pass. Inspired by a train ride I took (and not on Amtrak 😅)
Progress playing Josh Turknett's arrangement of Redwing. This tune is better known by me as Union Maid. Popularized by Pete Seeger and is also on Old Crow Medicine Show's Big Iron World record.
I have a new song called, “Spelunking in the Attic.” If you’ve even gone into the attic of an old house thinking you‘ll find some ancient hidden treasure or valuable antique, you may appreciate this song.
Hi there! I'd like to invite you to download my brand new transcription of Phil Rice’s Method For The Banjo from 1858! I have transcribed all 64 instrumental solos in tablature for 5-string banjo. I also have 16 pages with the full transcription of Phil Rice’s instruction guide so you can learn how to play stroke style as it was taught in 1858. Whether you’ve played banjo your entire life or if you’ve never picked one up at all, this book is perfect for every skill level. 64 mp3s are included to help you learn the tunes.

This was a practice of diminishing returns. I hoped to get one clear run through but it just kept getting worse. After 5 minutes I gave up. I swear I'll switch to playing something else soon. It turns out learning is a lot of repetition. also learning is hard. Who knew.
In case you're new here, or simply haven't heard, I make cute little things with my name and lyrics on them (oh yeah I write music too, listen to my new song 😃) and if you buy them, you can help me afford supplies to make more music and cute little things, and even bigger cute things like shirts and the other larger scale screen printing projects I've been trying to get going! 🔗 🔗 🔗 👇 👇 👇 #Americana #acoustic #diymerch #banjo #coloradodiy #clawhammer #cassetteculture #coloradodiy #singersongwriter #soloartist #guitar #washboard #ukulele #transmusician #queermusician #queermusic #indiefolk #indieartist #indielabel #screenprinting #buttonpress #cricutmade #folkpunk #folk #folksinger #punk #folkmusic #folkrock #diymusic #denverdiy https://www.instagram.com/p/CnQTdsnJ9eK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

This song, written by Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention, has been covered by Judy Collins and many other singers — almost all women. I’m not sure why this is, but it’s a great song that I enjoy singing.
