@wibbadoestd I blame you for reminding me about the pending reboot

Probably gonna tick someone off, but I’m fresh out of FUCKS to give and my Anon feature is off so those cowards don’t have the stones to try anything without a “mask”.

Anyway - let’s get this ball a’rolling!

I don’t hate Abe nor think he is or will evolve into some extremely toxic asshole. Why?: I pity the lanky bastard. Level with me for a second here - he’s a stupid teen with stupid teen desires and drama that is typically stuff he puts on his own shoulders, which honestly isn’t all that different from what plenty of insecure teenagers do. Does he pull some seriously dick moves? Yes, yes he most certainly does pull some dick moves and it’s pretty obvious that he can be as thick as tar, but a lot of times its because he’s totally misreading the situation like when he gets jealous or its unintentional like when he ends up blowing off his friends for anything Cleo/popularity-based. Plus, you do have to give him his credit when he does FINALLY learn something even if its really temporary lesson learned and wants to rush in without a plan to fix it like the awkward people pleasing beanpole that he is. That and I don’t think I need to open the big ass can of worms that is him and all of the other clones dealing with the pressures of either trying to live up to their famous clone parent’s legacy or trying to be as different as can be from their famous clone parent while on the very confusing journey of figuring out who you are as an individual, which is stressful enough as an adult. Now as for what I’d like for him... To put it bluntly, I’d like him to grow the hell up and I don’t mean it completely as an insult. He ended the final episode of season 1 with that long drawn out epiphany, which yeah for him I guess, but I want him to deal with the consequences of snubbing Joan for so long and now snubbing Cleo too after she finally puts out for him. I want him to deal with the consequences of a lot of his actions from the previous season and grow from it. I don’t know what the writers have planned, but I say recovering from a near death experience should be a great way to gain a better perspective on life and the things that actually matter - but hey it’s not my call. 🤷 #charactergrowth #selfreflectiontime

I think Cleo is shallow af and that’s okay. Why?: Shallow people exist, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re always an asshole, and we’ve seen on the show that Cleo does have some nice moments while still being shallow. I really don’t think she suddenly needs to become a “Nice Person” because I feel like that wouldn’t be Cleo, you know? I’d love to see some depth explored with her since she’s gonna be going through her own stuff with living up to the legacy of the infamous Queen of the Nile even if she’s just better at hiding it or something. I know there’s a clone high fan on here that has done something along those lines for an older Cleo along with crafting a really solid Marc Anthony OC as well, but I can’t recall for the life of me what their username was...

I don’t get the JFK hype. Why?: I guess I’m just not that into Himbos? Or maybe the fact that I’ve been a Markiplier fan for so long has made me immune to other types of Himbos? I don’t know! XD Okay so sure, he’s funny as hell and my heart broke with how he really was having such a hard time coming to terms with his best friend’s death and I thought it was sweet that he admitted to Joan that he always thought she was a classy dame or went to his dads to better understand his sexual confusion when he started crushing on “John Darc”, but the hype train in the fandom just isn’t for me.

I find JoanFK to be highly overrated/overblown. Why?: Its mostly thanks to the fandom and I respect that others really like it, but it just isn’t for me. Maybe Joan being a little bit more tolerant of JFK and JFK not hitting on her as much, but something tells me that JFK still has a long way to go before giving up his skirt chasing. I do think a lot of the fan work is really cute though - like this Fan Animatic by OrtSmort was so good!

I’m not mad about the whole Ghandi & India issue. Why?: It happened - Case Closed - Be happy that a reboot is happening.

I plan on watching the reboot if I hear good things. Why?: Reboots are a slippery slope that can be good or bad, and I’m too cynical to just instantly believe that one is gonna be good just because its a reboot of something I like. Prior experience with plenty of movies and shows have taught me that, and I’m sure plenty of you guys can think of some examples of reboots that were crap.

Joan needs to find love elsewhere that isn’t Abe, Cleo, or JFK. Why?: LET THE GIRL BE FUCKING HAPPY! Of course I’d love for her to learn how to love herself first and get closure/move on from Abe, but if she’s gonna fall in love again then let it be somebody GOOD FOR HER and not just aiming to get into her pants in the first place! Sorry JFK, but I haven’t forgotten that and Joan’s expression in bed says enough of what she really felt.

Less teen romance drama, MORE FRIENDSHIPS!!! Can we have more stuff with other clones or more evidence of the friendship between Abe, Ghandi, and Joan?

And that’s about it... Or at least those are the more prominent ones that come to mind for me.

#polls #personally i dont like it but thats only because i dont like fandom. the type of stuff that gets the most attention #in fandom usually just annoys me idk. how to explain it in a way that wont come off as me saying #fanfic or whatever is evil its just the fact that it just bombards alot of the conversations?#i prefer it when the thing i like has 10 fans and theyre all on one message board or forum #like for example mtvs downtown is getting popular but apart from annoying #'me and the mid nerd guy i copped by being weird and sexy' posts its not awful....#but then smth like... clone high or smth i suddenly cant remember ppl just got so annoying abt that show??#like i cant stand it i dont even bother watching it anymore plus its just weird to me now like i can't watch it regardless #im just rambling but personally i do not like it. like i dont want what i like to get a revival #i dont want anything new! i just want to enjoy the thing and move on 😭#fandom seems to prioritize shipping and memes over evaluating or simply just enjoying something!#this goes for anything. music film tv books....

the central problem with hazbin hotel as I see it is that based on its writing and style of humor it is trying to make a show that would have aired on MTV in 2002. However, it is not 2002.
