Bit of something I noticed when I watched the "Outpost" way back...

Mayday has the exact same character as Clone Wars Hunter.

Someone who's irritable, someone who is snarky towards command, lightly mocking, seems to operate better in the midst of battle or once the "Worst has come to pass", and someone who's used to surviving against bad conditions.

( And of course, someone who cares for his brothers, and tends to adopt the odd-ones-out no matter how they got there )

And he can match Crosshair snark to snark, which TCWs Hunter did too.

Hell if it turns out he likes the Thrill of Extreme Sports (Looking at you Hunter, and skysurfing without a parachute on that flying Lizard), he might as well be Hunter.

... At least, Clone Wars Hunter.

Something that should be pointed out about the differences between TBB Hunter and TCWs Hunter.

Remember Echo's situation? He was turned into a weapon. That weapon was used against Thousands of Troops, possibly more than that. Thousands died, more so than anything under Crosshair's record. While its clear he wasn't in his right mind, or really any mind at all, he was forgiven about it.

Yes, there was some doubts and mistrust, yes, Hunter was distressed as hell about it all--more vocally than anyone else, really.

( TCWs Hunter seems to make it a point to be distressed about everything except when he's on his own or only with his team. )

--But it was Hunter who offered Echo a spot on the team (with of course Team backing). Hunter who saw an odd brother out, and kept him.

And Mayday did that for Crosshair. ( For a little while, at least. )

... Could you say that TBB Hunter would do the same? Did do the same?

TBB Hunter seems to be the kind of character who does an awful lot of running away.

Where Mayday went back for bodies, and TCWs Hunter faced danger head on.

(The Bad Batch) Hunter x Reader: Stay

(Author's Note: Just a little short!! Enjoy!!)

You were doing a walkthrough aboard the Marauder to ensure that everything was functioning as it should, a favor you volunteered to do for Tech. There were no flashing lights or beeping instruments; however, there was one thing that wasn't quite to your liking. Hunter was planted in one of the seats, head leaned back, with his eyes scrunched shut as if in deep concentration or possibly pain. The sight made your heart ache.

"Are you okay?" you asked gently.

Without opening his eyes, he gave a small nod. "Just a headache." Your eyes softened at his admission. It wasn't uncommon for him to get headaches with his set of special skills, but it never failed to stir compassion in you.

You reached out a hand to cup his cheek. He leaned into your touch instantly, the stubble of his cheek brushing your palm. "Is there anything I can do for you?"

He opened his brown eyes then to meet your tender gaze. "Actually..." He began in a low voice, nearly a whisper. "Will you stay for a minute?"

You couldn't say no to such a request from him that was spoken with vulnerable honesty, even if you wanted to. You moved to stand behind his chair, wrapping your arms around his neck and resting your chin on top of his head. A deep sigh escaped the sergeant as the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders. You shifted to hold onto him tighter.

"It's going to be okay, love." You pressed a kiss to his temple and remained there, exhaling quietly against his ear. His muscles loosened as he relaxed into your embrace. Finally, he angled his head to meet your lips in a kiss, a heartfelt gesture of gratitude. You brushed your palm against his cheek once more.

"I need to finish this walkthrough, but when I'm done, I'll be right back."

"Alright." The subtle reluctance in Hunter's tone made you smile.

"It'll only be a few minutes."

"Of course, do what you need to." He kissed the back of your hand as you extricated yourself from the cuddle. "Hurry back."

"You've got it, Sarge."

Hiii!!! If it isn't to much trouble may I have (male) star wars clone matchup please. My pronouns are she/her. im not sure if youre looking for just the 501'st or anyone else but

hunter came to mind instead. he's the leader of the group, takes charge and will definitely be the first to make moves though likely wont do too much flirting or pda.

i'd imagine he'd find your shyness cute and absolutely adore you after you get closer and open up to each other.

he doesnt seem like too much of a music fan but would for sure vibe with whatever songs you put on, eventually playing some of the music you showed him in the background during flights or something.

he's loyal and supportive in every way, he'll want to make sure you're safe and unharmed he'll offer to get whatever you need when youre having a bad day.

he might make the mistake of taking your book and accidentally bending it just to tease you but will never make that mistake a second time.

in fact he might be loyal to the point he has a jealous streak.

I’ve decided to post all of the progress here as well, not just on instagram. Some people have asked to be tagged once I post some progress, but I can’t remember who they were. So if you wanna see future progress, let me know and I’ll tag you!

This one may not look too different from the previous one, but nothing really turned out the way I intended to.

The colors, the textures, the focus, the sounds, the camera, everything just seems so off, and oh boy the animation… this is the result of rushing and not knowing what I’m doing, just inserting keyframes, tweaking the graph editor and hoping for the best. So maybe signing up for this project wasn’t a great idea after all lol. Plus the datapad’s not even fully textured, you can literally see where I started adding details on the front, then for some reason I just left off lol

One thing I’ll definitely work on in the future is the menu itself, because if this project is for a graphic design thesis, then I might as well try to make the only thing that has something to do with it look more presentable. I’ll definitely be changing up the fonts, and I have some other ideas for the background as well.

But for now, I’ll move on to the remaining 5 character menu animations. Originally there were gonna be 5, not 7. At first I was randomly picking out the characters I wanted to make one for, then I realized, it’d probably be best, if each squad got one animation. The 501st gets Rex, the 212th gets Cody, the CG gets Fox, the 104th gets Wolffe, and the 241st gets Tukk. CF99 got Hunter but I really wanted to make one for Tech as well, since modeling and texturing him took the longest 💀

Once all of that’s done, I can finally move on to animating the trailer video. Which I’m terrified of, but oh well lol
