Lately I’ve:

Read a whole lot!! Many MANY books. (See my Goodreads and StoryGraph for details)

Worked on recovering!! I’m making progress!

Completed marine mammal training course and various other marine bio mini courses

Prepped for fall semester!

Met with student advisor at my new/upcoming uni (sixth time’s the charm?)

Updated music drafts for the Attitudinal Psyche project

Practiced Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian

I said I’d post on a regular schedule and then promptly got absolutely WALLOPED by my work schedule. But anyway! Here’s a post! I’m learning a lot at work; none of what I’m learning is what I had *expected* to learn, but it’s valuable knowledge all the same. Hope all of you have been doing well! This week was tough! It was very hot, and despite the lovely time I had at the beach, I got sunburnt. After a horror 39 degree day yesterday, it’s cooler with a misty rain. I went to a different library today, and I think I’ll be back (but it was freezing in there despite the heat and humidity outside - so tomorrow I’ll remember to bring a jumper).

Today I studied lots of physics, and some maths as well. I’m really still just scratching the surface though, and looking at multiple resources. The need to learn calculus simultaneously with physics in order to really get into it is holding me back (I’m not knowledgeable enough with maths to understand calc 😭) so it’s a painful chicken and egg sitch atm. But any progress for me is good progress!

I am done with the first week of school. I DID IT!!

Honestly I love my teachers, my classmates and the "friends" that I have started making (I know it takes time to make actual friends, but I am anxious, and impatient and all i want is to go out, have study dates, go to the bookshop, gossip and call people my friends)

My latin and greek classmates are fun, really sweet people and I have to say I feel so comfy with them.

I am so lucky (and tired, and studying hard, even on the first week)!

The sky was so brilliantly blue today!! I generally consider myself someone who prefers rainy and foggy days to bright sunny days, but lately I have had plenty of time and reason to reconsider my stance. I think I’ve been underestimating the value of sunny days!

I FINISHED MY EXAMS!!! AND I PASSED EVERY CLASS!!! I did get some grades that I am not too proud of, but overall I am doing a lot better than I was doing this time last year.

since I don't have exams I have a lot more free time on afternoons and weekends, I have been reading a lot lately, also watching TV and sleeping, overall just relaxing.

Also, the weather is changing and it is colder now, I can wear sweaters :)
