I would like to introduce my Dungeons and Dragons character Tenrek!

She is a Dragonborn Fighter who likes to swipe the most random of things. Like a claw full of a kid’s ashes and the head of an enemy that stabbed her one time!

She never backs down from a fight and is very headstrong. She absolutely hates it when somebody runs from battle. Especially an enemy, she will chase them down in bloodlust calling them cowards until they have been killed. She will only take orders from those she considers family, those being Lavenza the Halfling Bard/Sorcerer and Sinister Shade the Tiefling Monk/Rouge.

She loves meat and will trust anyone who gives her such! An old family friend once made her breakfast that was just entirely meat when they saw each other after a long time.

She also had become somewhat of an adoptive mother to two young Cobolds who have been named Ruby and Lapis. Both love to cause mischief and play!

I may post more about Tenrek in the future, some being her backstory but I think this is good for now!

Wait actually further on that "nisse" thing. So in Norwegian folk belief there's a common concept, called a couple different things:

«tuft», «tuftekall», «tomt», «gardsbonde», «godbonde», «haugebonde», «gardrud», «rudkall» «rundbonde» (via wikipedia)

now I won't claim to understand every name, but some of them are like adjective-farmer, and "rud" is a suffix used for farms that were abandoned after the Black death. (source: me, hi I'm Norwegian this is taught in like fourth grade)

fjøsnisse - fjøs: house for "fe" which means like, cows and similar, sheep, pigs etc. (google translate just lied to me so please tell me the English word)

skipsnisse - ships (boats)

kirkenisse - church

in Norwegian jul tv you'll find most fjøsnisser, such as in "jul i Blåfjell" (jul in Blue Mountain) - a jul calendar tv program. I think also most cozy jul books too, but please prove me wrong.

(and cause apparently it's not common knowledge, "christmas" (originally "jul" or "yule" (which it still is called in Norway today)) does originate in Norse mythology and Nordic tradition, with supernatural spirits and animal sacrifice (source: store norske leksikon), and beer (ref that NRK article)) (and no I don't care if you ""disagree"" with history unless you are an actual historian). As someone who's mostly been lurking in the shadows on reddit, like a little cobold, observing people from a dark alley, looking for interesting treasures they drop while passing by, quickly scurrying outside to pick up whatever it is I spied and disappearing back into the comforting darkness, tumblr makes me feel like I have to leave the safety of the shadows. Like I'm running after the people who drop what I want to see and instead of putting little anonymous sticky notes saying "Me like this" on their back unnoticed, I'm taking what I found, holding it up in the air for everyone to see, shouting at the top of my lungs "I freaking love this, has everyone seen this, this is awesome and I want more" at every poor soul who comes too close to me and shove it in their face.

Final Fantasy 14 Update: With a little help of Minfilia, all the leaders came to a conclusion. We will fight against the garlean empire! And thus a plan was formed! But before I did that, I looked up quests for the wild folks, because if the sylphs and the ixals had quests, the others surely have too? And I was right, I found quests for the amaal'ja, the sahagin and the cobolds. And then it was time to go through with the plan... first step is to beat one of the leaders of the empire... and I failed! I almost did it, but I managed to get hit by one of the mega attacks while already low on health and arghl... I will have to redo this fight. It is pretty hard, but it already is really cool to have such a duel to the death where you have to use all the skills of your class.
