#cockles is so adorable it should be illegal

My favorite thing about Cockles is when I'm scrolling my dash and someone I never expected reblogs something and then I'm all, "OMG, them too??" Everyone ships it lmao. They're the cutest (even platonically).

I love this too!! And, actually, that used to be me. I am not certain how I evolved into (generously, depending on whether new episodes are airing or not) a 50-50 Destiel-Cockles blog…but I did! And it’s brought me some wonderful new friends as well as genuine happiness so I’m not going to complain or attempt to change now. (Tbh, the more the show is painful or disappointing the more I’ll retreat into this undefined relationship they have that is so full of love.)

I think what you say about how they are just so freaking adorable even as fully platonic friends probably has something to do with the general willingness of people to reblog Cockles content. Like, honestly, most of what I love about them has 0% to do with whether or not they have ever taken things past friendship. Just…look at these faces!

Sorry, what was I saying? Oh, right. That you don’t have to believe those two cuties have ever done any naked kissing (although they have just look at them) to see and enjoy the love, affection, and playfulness that they bring out in each other:

It should be illegal for grown fucking men to be this adorable. And although they’re frequently all those things with other friends (Jared, Rob, Rich, etc.) they are never more adorable, loving, and playful than with each other. It doesn’t have to be a “ship,” exactly, for you to love and appreciate how they bring these qualities out in one another.

I guess you could say that our Dumpster Mansion has a whole annex (a mother-in-law unit, with its own entrance) for people who love Cockles but only platonically. And we’re happy to have you all here!! Please bring a pie of your choosing to next month’s potluck and get to know us, your neighbors. You’ll just want to leave once we flick the lights to make sure you don’t hear any of our other topics of discussion.
