Yep! Agree with these users. Now that Back to school sale is happening, I'm painfully reminded of how After School Affairs has ended. This is what happening inside Love 365. Some titles are receiving abrupt endings . While ' hot and heavy ones' seem to be neverending.. And they get extra character routes too!
Is this a new trend or is Voltage being Biased?
* sigh* A S A was one of my fav. The way they ended that... the way they abandoned the dairy of a step sister, the way they wrapped up the very recent "A date with Yesterday...." I'm so disappointed. Because well I love stories like these.
Well, I know this might be just a monologue of a disappointed fan... because most of my favourite titles ended this way.
Now I wonder what will be the future of new titles like exclusively yours office affair and codename Cupid. And of course some other titles...
I would be disappointed if they all receive abrupt ending
As a writer, I know how hard it is ... to keep things going, to give a good ending to a story, but it is not wrong on my part to hope for the best for the titles I like, is it? And when you start something you need to give it an ending that it deserves.
Here's to hoping something good will happen. Hope some of these titles will be revived. Voltage must know that there are fans who love content more than hot and heavy stuff.
P. S. This post is purely my personal feelings. Not intended to offend any fandom or game company.
I’m living for the Codename: Cupid boys!! Ryohei was so cute and I loved the chemistry between him and the MC. His storyline did get a bit confusing at times but totally made up for it by explaining the subjects in more detail later in the story. If you’re into the strong cute silent type, this story is totally up your alley. Plenty of times I even found myself laughing out loud. Definitely worth the read!
Aaah, I remember this from the good ol' Vintage Voltage says, back when all the Eng library had was maybe 4 titles max? Maybe 5? Pirates in Love, My Forged Wedding, Seduced in the Sleepless City, and I can't remember the order of the others, but IIrc those were the earliest Voltage releases.
And some Eng players had started venturing to the Japanese library to see what elae they got, and this was among the not-yet-ported JP titles way back when. I was like WTF is with the chicken LOL.
Fffff so this is SOOOO classic that they, like, don't have the boss in the default "choose your dude" at the end of the prologue. And then as per the usual "Vintage Voltage" the boss' route is clearly released much later because it starts off not following the prologue, but assumes that whatever happens in the other routes already happens. Minus the romance.
Man, I really don't like that. I was kinda glad Pirates didn't really do that with the Captains' routes.
... And this one pushed me over the edge. I mean the older Voltage titles are just riddled with casual misongny. All the damn time. I mean the MC wasn't my favorite type but maybe she'll grow. I just don't have the energy to wait for that growth while she's bashed for no reason.
This is supposed to be a visual novel/otome right? But in this prologue alone there's so much casual B. S. It's not funny. Whether it's her friend trying to recruit her a receptionist because that's a more traditional role. Or her being so piss drunk had she not gone back to the office she almost certainly would have been harrased in some fashion
Or how about the general disposition of the love interests. Like the man on the left telling her to get out of his way. What the hell happened to the words 'excuse me'.
But No, I could possibly ignore all that. But why, after just having a conversation about how the MC believed her dad worked there would you say she's there hunting for a husband.
Hell forget her dad worked there! The game sets up MC as hardworking only to trivialize her decision so baselessly.
And finally so the fuck what if she got a job to find a good husband?! Is there a law against that. Here comes the sexism. Who the fuck are they to judge her when they know nothing about her. Hell they didn't even know who her father was a founding member.
Release Date: April 1, 2013 (JP) & November ?? (EN)
It's not Love Choice🚫
When you join a trading company you admire, you are involved in an incident and discover the existence of a spy group secretly organized by the company: General Affairs Department Third Section (commonly known as Umeboshi Section). He changed from the Hanagata sales department to a disliked department, but fell in love while solving a thrilling case with a real man who only he knew.
Look at this awkward sweetheart! I found Ichiya’s plot super intriguing and surprisingly not predictable at all. However, out of all the men in Codename: Cupid, he’s been my least favorite so far. Nothing personal, just not my type. With that said, I did buy his main story AND epilogue so maybe I’m just a hypocrite 🤷🏻♀️. The MC in this story was okay, nothing worth writing back home about. Like I mentioned before, the plot is what makes it worth the read. It makes it the perfect combination of Ichiya’s personality and action to follow along to.
So far l am loving this story and Riku has a special place in my heart but Ryohei has no filter so I can’t actually play for too long without collapsing into a squealing mess.
I’ve played Riku, Ichiya, and Ryohei and so far the MC seems to have a backbone and is fairly reasonable. Doesn’t give me too much damsel in distress vibes, and I really enjoyed the dialogue the characters had.
Haruna is best girl and I’m just waiting for a Shoji route because he is so precious and I don’t want him alone.
