So I re-watched Over The Garden Wall again and... Hunter in the Unknown? It seems to be a place for the lost and a lot of wild magic could be classified as "forgotten stories" (or lost knowlege) so that could be a hook. (I guess the same deal as with the Infinity Train ask: It would be too long for a complete fic but a few ideas would be cool) Sorry, I just can't help but see Belos in the Beast.

People are coming into my inbox with shows/movies I have not watched for Years and making me go "Oh! I can answer this!" and then screaming as I can't actually remember anything /j/

I CAN see Belos in the Beast, but the Beast also sorta gives me Collector vibes? Idk why they just do.

Okay, so: Ideas from what I remember

- Hunter would stumble in sometime between Eclipse Lake and getting back to the keep, similar to the Infinity Train AU.

- Maybe he collapsed due to exhaustion on his way back, and is falling through the sky, similar to how Wirt and Greg were drowning?

- Oh Boy does the beast make him Uncomfy

- Our boy is SEVERELY tempted to take up the offer of "chop up souls to fuel the lantern" which in this case, would supposedly be Rascal's soul

- Because that's what he does, y'know? When the big, scary Belos-like figure tells him that the lantern is Rascal's soul, he believes it and would do anything to keep the new friend he's just really found, the one who wouldn't leave him.

- The whole ordeal is like. Rascal/Hunter bonding time

- Hunter goes through pretty much the whole unknown like "Yeah, whatever" in comparison to Wirt and Greg bc. Y'know. He's from the Isles. Even the skeleton pumpkin people don't give him much pause.
