How? Sign up here! You will be able to give several prompts (different types of prompts, too! Music, scenarios, one word prompts…) and you will, of course, receive several prompts ^_^

Your job? Use at least one of these prompts to create at least one fanwork! You can combine several prompts in one work, use the same prompt for several works… The one hard and fast rule is to respect your giftee’s squicks!

Please get in touch with your giftee anonymously if only to let them know someone is creating something for them, and of course if you have any question :-)

What types of fanwork? Here’s what you can do: Gifsets (6 gifs min), Fanfic (1,000 words min), Fanmix (6 songs + cover min), Fanvid (1 minute long min), Graphics / Fanart, needle art, podfic.

What’s the timeline? Signups until Sep 4 (your time zone is fine), prompts sent around a day or two after that (depending on your time zone), fanworks due OCT 28 in the AO3 collection if you're using AO3, and must be submitted to Tumblr. AO3 collection revealed on Halloween! If you have a scheduling issue please get in touch with the blog, we can probably work something out ^_^ And you will be able to post on the dedicated AO3 collection earlier since it will be kept unrevealed until D-Day- aka Halloween! Yes, you can go wild on bats and zombies if that's your jam ;-)

Where to post? Tumblr, AO3 (Exchange collection name: dde2023 / Daredevil and Defenders Exchange 2023)… let us know where you’re posting so we can share it on our two blogs, DW and Tumblr. just remembered that the defenders were not the found family i’ve convinced myself they were to be. like wdym they don’t all reluctantly get together on thanksgiving. wdym colleen and matt don’t occasionally team up or chat on rooftops while they’re on patrol. wdym karen and jess don’t become close friends. wdym luke and danny don’t hang out often. wdym they all didn’t get together for colleen and danny’s wedding. wdym foggy and luke aren’t kind of friends. wdym colleen misty and claire don’t go to bars together.

I think we should get a Marvel one-shot, that’s just one by one each of the New York heroes ending up in the same subway car and then riding in awkward silence together. 

The car is empty except for one person in the corner, reading a newspaper. Then the superheroes begin to enter, one at a time. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, in their plain clothes, get on first, slumping into the seats. A few moments later Bucky arrives with his end of show costume and fancy arm-- he starts reading a book. Enter Kate Bishop in bright purple, awkwardly navigating her bow. A second before the door closes Danny and Colleen push their way in; Colleen is holding her katana and Danny has adopted his bright yellow and green outfit; they wave to Luke and Jessica who pretend not to notice. Kamala Khan hops on at the next stop in full superhero gear, immediately recognizes Bucky and tries to play it cool, while constantly darting glances at him. He notices but pretends not to, just reads more intensely. Matt in his Daredevil suit is the next to arrive. He collapses opts to lay on the floor instead of taking a seat, prompting stares (ranging from concern to confusion to judgment) from all. As the train moves toward the next station there’s a loud thud as something collides with the outside of the train, making them all jump and look out the window: Spiderman is now awkwardly hanging on the outside of the car. He waves. Kate and Kamala wave back. He stays there until the next station. 

The train stops. Spiderman swings away into the tunnel. Everyone else shuffles out and heads off in different directions. The car is empty again except for the man with the newspaper. He has not lowered it this entire time, but now he does, slowly, carefully, making sure the others are all gone. He drops the paper to his lap in relief once he’s certain he’s alone. It’s Stephen Strange.
