Day 87 • 100 Days of Productivity

i was blessed by the gods as my usual 3hr lecture only lasted 1hr!! also, i’ve been going to my local bagel place at the same time mondays-thursdays so often that now they know my name and order lol. i got a lot of work done yesterday which was great, so im starting off the week with less to do. i will have a long day on campus on wednesday - i have a 9:30am study group to prepare for a lab quiz, then said lab, and then probably a study group for the exam on monday after that. im hoping to be off campus around 3 but who’s to say. my first set of exams and papers are starting and ughhh just because im ready for it doesn’t mean i wanna do it yk?

06.01.23

and just like that, 3rd year as a respiratory therapy student has come to an end (we're not considering the unfinished thesis for now).

pretty amazed with how i was able to juggle 6 days of school, 11 subjects (supposedly we only have 8, all majors), a case study, multiple reports and exams in a week sometimes and so on.

praying and scouting other unis at this time for cross enrollment so i could get done with my last 9 units for gen ed this summer to be eligible for internship this august and i also pray and hope that my tutor sessions with our adviser for the national convention's quiz bee won't cross over with the summer classes (context: as a transferee, i wasn't able to take the 9 units due to the difference in the curriculums)

for the meantime in my 2 week break, i'll be helping at home to pack to move, read/study here and there, watch all the shows and movies i'd like, get back on track with working out especially since my sprain's already barely there in just 3-4 days, spend more time with luna and actually abide with my fasting plan due to being hyperacidic for about 2 weeks !!

Art Major Week One

Drawing:

We had a lot of homework but no lecture today :<

Covered the basics of form and we had a bunch of charcoal drawings due. (10 items done 3 times in different poses)

The basis of our lecture is usually that we focus on the quick sketch. The first minute of a drawing is all the goodies. The proportions, the forms, the rest is just technique.

While we learn techniques it’s better to improve by focuses on this good basics by drawing a TON!!!!

Colour Theory:

I hate colours….

The class covered a wide range of different aspects of colours today. We covered peoples emotions, shades, hues, the basics.

The rule of the class is all colours are mixed by hand and all work is done without relying on technology.

I got a 86 on my Colour wheel. (You can trash it)

My hue assignment is going strong with a bunch of squares done. We have to draw 154 of those bad boys so I’m glad I’m almost done the first sheet!!

Notes from my academics:

Art history is important because it effects our future. We all like drawing shirtless bloody men apparently??? Look at our past for our Yaoi future???

Also human stuctude is very human.

In college sometimes you don't find your friend group early. You make some friends and then realise your vibes don't match. And some people still stick to them. Maybe because of many reasons, because they are afraid, because they think that they won't find other friends. But they will stick out like a sore thumb. Find someone who doesn't drain your energy, someone who doesn't always gives you short end of the stick.

Honestly don't stick with people you don't like, the thing will build-up overtime and will explode one day.

day 8/366

today marks the first day of me getting myself together - took the first 7 days to rest and to plan out some things i want and need to do for the month

currently im making research proposals in advance since i will be pushing to do my clinical research starting this sem despite having to do it alone (or ill get more delayed in graduation). actually, im not so sure if my academic grant is and will be approved, im just praying and hoping it does so i can finally take my last 2 semesters for college, haha

during the first week, i started playing solitaire and doing sudoku and i was able to play volleyball !! not my best performance, but i spent most of the 4 hours as a libero and it kind of took out the energy in me (serving the ball is the source of adrenaline but was only able to do it thrice the whole time)

for tonight:

prayer and worship day 1/7

day 1/7 fasting from netflix, disney+ and sleep (i failed w sleep i slept after lunch)

research proposals - so far i have 3 topics listed down (2 of which are the same w different populations) and i plan to have 5 topics to present

continue studying airway management from persings' book

context for fasting sleep: i sleep a lot HAHAHA i need the extra sleep for internship but i sleep 2-3am and wake up 11-1pm so... i think backing up on sleep time is the thing i want to do

please recommend study vloggers to help me get back my focus and push !!
