Hi!
I have quick archaeology question for you
We've been doing some work in my backyard and have seem to found an old trash pile (broken glass, pottery, a bit of pipe, maybe slag?) I know our house is pretty old so I was curious about dating it!
So, do you have/know of any good resources for dating historical pottery in New England?
Sorry I didn't get to this when you first sent it. I've been busy with a move and then traveling back to visit my family before the beginning of the next semester. Not that I have a moment to breathe, let me throw some resources your way.
Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab has a good click through menu that can serve as a sort of flowchart for identification. Depending on how late into the historical period you're in, you should be looking at both coarser ceramics and porcelain.
The Digital Archaeological Archive of Comparative Slavery has a comprehensive document for ceramics identification. See also their Ceramics Appendix.
Saint Mary's University has posts with helpful photos, descriptions, and date ranges for numerous types of ceramics.
Alpine Archaeological Consultants has a great paper that's relatively easy to read and features resources on how to identify glass, ceramics, and other artifacts from the historic period.
Parkland College's page is more Midwest-centric, but it's still a good resource.
Florida University has a good description of how archaeologists classify artifacts with examples.
The Society for Historical Archaeology has one of the best databases for historical bottle identification (I'm a huge slut for glass bottles).
The SHA also has a great guide for identification of common 20th century artifacts. See also their Links in Historic Archaeology page and their Research Links page.
If you can find the date (or even the decade) of the construction of your house, that would be a great place to start! If you have artifacts you want to clean, you can use a toothbrush and water, but be careful about scrubbing too vigorously because it can damage paint and labels that are on top of the glaze/glass. Do not use water to clean any metal artifacts. Slag is identifiable because it's bubbly/melted/slightly porous and less heavy than other rocks and/or metal.
If you have pictures of anything, I'd love to see them! Although I can't promise any identification because sometimes it's difficult without being able to physically inspect the artifact.
Other archaeologists are welcome to chime in with any links and resources I might have missed.

Hey Betts! What are some signs that your story's resolution is actually the inciting incident to the story you want to tell? How do you know when that is the case?
anon is referring to what i said in this ask, about how sometimes the resolution of a story is actually only the end of the backstory, and the story you want to tell is what happens after.
i want to caveat that this is relevant only to long-form fiction. short form, anything goes. also for science fiction and fantasy, series are far more accepted and so it's also possible you just have more stories to tell in the universe you've built. but for those of us writing in genres where a series is nearly impossible to publish, sometimes it's worth it to at least consider the aftermath.
the biggest indicator that your resolution is really an inciting incident is when the events after the story are implied to escalate to higher and more complicated places than the story you've told. in other words, if the end of your story has major internal or external consequences that go unexplored.
nobody likes hearing this, and so please take it with a grain of salt. generally to accept this means to tell a story you're less interested in telling, even if it's the more interesting story. in many cases, the more interesting story is also one that's harder to write. if you write about a character going to prison, and they accept their sentence and we leave them knowing they're going to wait it out, that's the end of a story. but if you end it with your character swearing they're going to break out, then the breaking out is the story, and what you'd written before that is the backstory that's woven in to give us context of the breaking out.
there are, of course, exceptions. for example, if you write a story about your characters in high school, they're about to venture into college which will involve, possibly, higher stakes and more conflict. but high school is a contained thing in itself, and it makes sense for stories that take place during it to remain in that container.
also, origin stories. origin stories only exist to lead a character up to their big call to action.
so even though this is kind of a big thing to consider, the flowchart of that decision is pretty simple:
is what happens after the story more interesting than what happens during it?
if no, your ending is your ending.
if yes...
is what happens after the end of the story something you're interested in writing?
if no, your ending is your ending.
if yes...
you might consider following the story to a more harmonious resolution, which would involve extending it past where you thought it would end, and turning what's been written already into a past timeline. i visualize it as folding the story in half on itself.
don't sweat it too much and don't let this interfere with your momentum. keep reaching for what interests you. your story will give itself over to you if you remain open to it.

When I say 'I ship it'
this is what I mean:
Because I believe just about anything and everything can (and should!) be analyzed, I have decided to post a trio of unnecessary charts I made once upon a time in college, while I was supposed to be studying.
Are they exciting? No!
But they do help illustrate the method to my personal madness, and I've got a 'favorite ships' list I've been needing to finish for like a year now that I feel like this will help explain, so there’s that.
How I ship: lazy little flowchart edition
Tumblr media
For me, it’s not about tropes, aesthetics, or the following of/rebelling against canon. It’s essentially chemistry, story, and overall execution that sell me on a pairing, and all three need to be present in order to reel me in.
Ex. 1: If the chemistry is dynamite but the setup is meh or the storyline takes a dive/drags too long/rushes too much etc., I’m out. Maybe I'll read a fanfic or two for a taste of What Could Have Been If..., but effectively, I'm out.
Ex. 2: If the setup/potential is the most brilliant, epic piece of art in the history of the written/spoken word but the chemistry is blah or the actual execution of the relationship doesn’t live up to the preamble, I’m not just kind of out...I’m Viola-Davis-grabbing-her-purse gif out, and I’m locking the door behind me, and I might even be considering writing a strongly-worded rant on how annoyed I am over my time being wasted.
Ex. 3: If the relationship, whenever it finally happens, is the cutest/hottest/most magnetic and beautiful example of a well-written and loving relationship ever but the chemistry is so-so and the setup is barely there, I may not be out, but I’m definitely not in, because who in the world is excited to drink lukewarm coffee? Not me, so thank you, but no thank you.
That’s just how it is.
And even if I love a ship, certain writing choices can still turn me off of them/lessen my liking for them; while I do sometimes joke about cherry-picking from canon, I don’t as a rule just ignore things I hate and hype what I like because I can’t. It’s like lying to myself, and I don’t roll like that. When I ship, I’m ultimately shipping a dynamic (And yes, the dynamic is usually take-charge, kind-of-b!tchy girl and a feels all the feels/flies-by-the-seat-of-the-pants guy, but what of it?), but I need the dynamic to be built on something that feels organic to both story and characters so that the exasperatingly practical part of my brain isn’t interrupting with things like “But why would they get together?”/ “Why would they get together now?”
Like...I don’t care if we’re discussing animated mice (Disney's The Rescuers) or elderly assassins (RED). I need to see that they like each other, I need to see why they’re great together, and I need to see why it makes sense for them to get together when they do, as opposed to earlier or later.
So, in summary...I do not convince myself to ship. The ship convinces me, and there is a definable process.
Levels of shipping: cute (love-themed?) colors edition
Tumblr media
This one’s pretty self-explanatory, so I’ll be quick.
Lowest level = “I don’t NOT ship it” = the default level = the ingredients are all there, the finished product is just not tasty enough to tempt me. (Maybe they were mixed improperly, maybe the cookies were pulled from the oven too soon, maybe they had all the ingredients for a delectable layer cake and chose instead to make cornbread and call it dessert, maybe they just served me vanilla when I wanted chocolate, etc.) Highest level = “I hardcore ship it” = the rarest level of shipping I attain = however calm I claim to be about loving this pairing, I am downplaying it because I am actually unhinged. I adore them. You will never make me stop shipping them. The bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn because babes, we have PASSED the point of no return and I have ZERO regrets.
Rough Shipping #s: extremely unscientific version that I would never let my old stat prof see b/c it would make her sad and possibly think about revoking that good grade she gave me
Tumblr media
Whatever the fictional medium, my default shipping mode is neutral...most of the time, when I read a book or watch a show/movie, I don’t care one way or another about the relationships presented. My primary concerns are “do they work?” and if the answer is “yes, they have a not unpleasant dynamic, and the proper amount of work has been put into developing that dynamic,” then I sort of go “okay, good for them” and I move on.
If the answer is “no, they’re kind of boring/basic/bland etc. and they just sort of happen for no discernible reason and/or leave a bad taste in my mouth” then I roll my eyes, get through it as soon as possible, and move on. It’s out of the ordinary for me to love a ship, but it is even more out of the ordinary for me to actively dislike a ship, and it is rarest of all for me to hate a ship. So when I say I adore a ship, it’s kind of a big deal. And when I say I loathe a ship...yeah, well. You get the picture.
In summary:
When I say "I ship it," I mean all the above elements have clicked for me. I have gone through a process to reach this point. I'm not just going "ooh, pretty people, I want them together!" or "ooh, character I relate to most! I want them with character I'd want to be with most!"
Nope.
It's about the journey AND the destination AND the pre-journey prepwork, but it's also about an X-factor, something special I respond to with each ship...and at the end of the day, if that little unexplainable spark is there I'll ship it. If it's not, I won't.

5 Important Tips for NEET 2023 Revision Strategy
Tumblr media
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single-level national exam carried out for medical aspirants enabling them to seek admission to medical courses across different medical institutes of the country. This makes it essential for medical aspirants to prepare well and give ample time for revision for NEET 2023.
Candidates must familiarize themselves with the best revision strategy for NEET 2023. Medical aspirants across the nation will be competing against each other for the limited seats in medical colleges, and it is essential for each of them to be better than the other. Check below for the 5 important tips for NEET 2023 revision
Why revision is important for NEET 2023?
As known, revision plays an important role in any exam. The same goes for India’s single medical entrance exam - NEET, too. Revision for NEET 2023 will help medical aspirants to cover all the major NEET biology, physics, and chemistry topics in the early stage. A good NEET revision strategy will also help the aspirants achieve good results. Exprto brings to you the benefits of revision before the NEET exams
1. All basic concepts renewed
One concept is always linked to another concept. Once you have a clear understanding of the important NEET chapters and concepts, you are ready for the next step, the application.
2. Analysis of strengths and weaknesses
Revision for NEET 2023 will help you analyze your strengths and weaknesses. This analysis will help you focus on your weaknesses and get clarity in concepts and theories.
3. Memory retention
Opting for the best revision strategy for NEET will empower candidates to furnish their memory and build better retention skills.
4. Helps recall details
Revision helps candidates recall details of the topic or subject that they have studied.  This enables them to answer the questions in the NEET question paper in a systematic and timely manner.
Top 5 revision strategies for NEET 2023
Medical aspirants are advised to check below for the top 5 NEET 2023 revision strategies. These strategies will enable candidates to appear for the exam better prepared than any other competitor of theirs.
1. Make a study plan
Medical aspirants should review their NEET syllabus and then determine a study plan for themselves. This neet study plan must also be made keeping in mind the number of months available for revision.
2. Focus on the Diagrams and Graphs
Candidates should focus primarily on graphs, flowcharts, and diagrams. Write down all important formulas, theorems, and flowcharts on a whiteboard/graph paper so you can fix them at the last minute.
3. Best books for NEET 2023
It is important to have the right books. You must master the NCERT Class 11 and NCERT Class 12 books. Candidates should also refer to the best NEET books for effective preparation. Candidates are advised to adhere to a thorough revision of the more advanced books rather than referencing them.
4. Practice Regularly
Practicing NEET questions helps test takers improve their test skills. Ensure that you are answering each question in the ideal amount of time. If you're running out of time, then check how many wasted attempts you've made through ignorance or carelessness.
5. Get queries resolved
Medical aspirants must ensure that they get all their queries resolved by an expert on time. Unresolved queries lead to unpreparedness and for an exam like NEET medical aspirants must not take any risk.

Heyooo! I was lurking around studyblr as I am planning to create one once I start collegeㅡ(I'm in my last year as a SHS student !) as an attempt to romanticize college life lmao and I came across your blog and noticed you are a Filo + an IS student T^T I'm planning to take IS as well so I came here to ask you for some advices and tips because Idk what to expect 'cause Idk anyone who majors in International Studies around me :< and some of them (have the audacity to) tell me to change my course kasi they think I will just end up jobless (tf). Thank you so much!!
hello!! thanks for ur patience, its almost finals so I’m not online as much :)) but anyway, hello future IS student ~ :D ✈️✈️
The jobless concern or “ano yun” is definitely a common thing IS students encounter LOL. Here’s the kicker tho: Anyone can be jobless! People like to poke at stuff they don’t understand so I hope hearing those comments will eventually get boring on your end. IS is a course that feels specialized but is actually (imo) pretty broad.
[What to Expect]
I think it’s a given na I’ll talk about my own experience LOL. The other schools that offer IS probably have a different curriculum so take that into account :)
For IS in DLSU, you have to choose a focus/major. There’s American Studies, European Studies, Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies.
SUBJECTS
There are major subjects ALL IS students have to take, and then there are majors na focus-specific.
Ex. All IS students have International Law, but only European Studies students will have EU Economics.
Unlike other courses, you don’t have majors kaagad so there’s plenty of time to ease into the course if you’re still new or unfamiliar with the vibe (or if u want to jump ship and shift).
There’s a GE (General) Course/“Floating” subject (aka a course everyone has to take hehe) that feels like a baby IS class. It’s called GEWORLD. Most of us took this GE first term or second term since our flowchart was built like that. Double check yours nalang to be sure! Anyway, that class can give you a little taste of what IS is like if you’re entirely unfamiliar. In short, the transition from SHS to IS student won’t feel that abrupt!
You also have a foreign language class. American + European Studies students can choose between French and Spanish. Japanese studies…that’s a given na :) You’ll have seven terms worth of classes, which is basically three levels of foreign language class per year for two years. It’s fun and completely doable.
COURSE CONTENT
What’s IS?
International Studies isn’t the same as Diplomacy and International Affairs (This is offered in CSB). Think of the former as a course which tells you everything you need to know about the kpop industry. You’ll learn the history, what it is, how to look at it through different perspectives. You’ll look into cases. Look into different fandoms, etc. The latter also teaches that, but on top of that you also learn how to be a kpop idol (aka Diplomat/Ambassador).
But on a more concrete note, you’ll learn about theories. Liberalism, Realism, Neoliberalism...These are used to analyze situations. For my final paper in one of my majors, I used neoliberalism to explain Avengers: Civil War.
You’ll learn about foreign policy, what it is and how it’s used. You’ll learn about political economy, soft power/hard power, etc. Lots of very serious words you can use to make sense of situations!
TLDR: IS in DLSU is a lot more broad compared to other universities. (If anyone from CSB or ADMU is reading this you may confirm or deny because this is just what I heard LOL. I can confirm the broad bit though as a green school student.)
How are the classes?
For the majors mismo, there are lots of assigned readings. Don’t feel intimidated though! Profs tend to flavor their classes differently but readings will always be present. Prepare to write a lot rin. You can get away with not reading too. Idk how but you can totally do that.
Groupworks are a thing. Hindi yan mawawala so choose wisely ~
Recitation is a thing. I had a prof that randomly calls talaga every class. It depends on the prof though. It could be terrifying, but preparation is key!
[Advice]
As for advice, read! Read reputable news articles to get a feel of what good flow is. Read stories to be a better narrator. It’ll help a lot when it comes to essay writing.
Note: IS papers are mostly reports or synthesis papers. I suggest casually reading news articles or even magazine articles. This is an entirely different conversation though and I can go on for hours so lmk if u want me to elaborate here. (Writing tips/IS writing in general). :)
Tune into current events. A prof might ask if anyone is updated and u can recite for pogi points if ever.
You’re all students! You’re all there to learn so don’t feel intimidated by the course or even ur own peers. u got this!!
It’s okay to be unsure. Not sure what you want to do post IS? What job to take? Etc? Don’t worry, most of us have no clue. Some of my IS batchmates are in law school, some are working office jobs while others are language teachers.
I don’t plan on pursuing an IS related career myself. But I don’t feel like “sayang” ang inaral ko because this course gave me a lot of skills and clarity. Skills = writing, listening, collaborating/working with other people. cramming. research. public speaking! all very important and can be used in different industries. Clarity = it’s a personal thing, but going through this course made it clear what I really wanted/I got a clue of what I want to tolerate in a career LMFAO.
Not IS related pero lumandi ka/make friends/have a hobby. It’s very important for your personal growth!! Join orgs if you want to. The skills u can pick up sa org could potentially help you sa acads rin. But aside from the gains, its really nice to have something fun to do on the side!
That’s all for now! :) That’s all I can think of IDK IM mush better siguro if you have exact questions? :)
Do you have a tumblr? If you have specific questions maybe we can chat so I can answer u better. Other than that, I really hope this helps! :)
I can add to this later since im sleepy rn and idk if ur gonna see this agad but ill indicate if i add hehe. Thanks for reaching out and good luck 💗💗💗

this might be a weird question but how do you stay motivated with writing your fics? theres so many fics that I desperately want to write but I have so much trouble staying motivated, so how do you do that? Love your blog also❤️
hey there!! not a weird question at all :) i’ve struggled a LOT with writing motivation over the years— it’s a miracle i got the grades i did in college, i was a notorious essay procrastinator. there’s not really One Solid Thing i can point to for my recent success in staying on top of writing, but these are all things that have helped:
having dedicated writing time/a schedule! even if it’s just a few minutes a day, telling yourself that you’re going to sit for X time with the purpose of working on your project helps. (i will readily admit that i’m lucky here— i work in an office setting, where i spend a lot of my time in a cubicle with not a lot to do BUT write)
on that note, not all writing time needs to be spent actually physically drafting. outlining stuff counts too! using sleeping with ghosts as an example— typically, i can get out one chapter in the span of one work week. the first couple days are spent outlining in a bullet-point list what’s gonna happen in the chapter, and then the next day or two is spent physically writing it.
now, i am NOT someone who typically likes to outline. but i promise promise PROMISE that outlining will make it easier to write your project, be it big or small. a problem i’ve always run into is having a vague idea of my overarching plot, with ideas for plot beats/scenes here and there... and then no idea of how to connect those beats, or how to get from point A to point B. OR, i’ll have too MANY ideas for directions that a plot can take, and then i get choice paralysis and write nothing. but if i start with that vague outline, and then “zoom in” on a small part of it and hammer out the full details into a play-by-play outline of the chapter, it helps me get stuff written!
if that sort of choice paralysis is something you also have issue with, i’ve found a lot of success with doing flowcharts to help you decide what direction to take the story. i’ll use swg as an example— the latest chapter ended with lawrence and adam learning that the jigsaw killer has been captured via a news report on the tv, and i’ve been having a bit of a block deciding what happens next. so i sat down and started a flowchart, with the first point being the news report. what COULD happen next? the boys COULD stay home and celebrate, assuming they’re in the clear, going so far as to destroy the evidence wall. they COULD buckle down and keep doing research/theorycrafting anyways, unconvinced the police will actually be able to bring jigsaw into custody. they COULD head to the steel mill themselves, either to investigate or just to watch. they COULD get a surprise visit from alison to check on lawrence! i listed all of those options and some more, then asked myself— what’s the consequence, or the logical next step, in each of those scenarios? i wrote those out too. eventually, as i did this, i saw certain threads come to dead ends, where they either didn’t work towards the ongoing plot/ending i have in mind, or they just stopped sounding plausible or interesting to write/read about. as i worked on the flowchart, though, i also noticed which threads made me excited to think about, and which ones went further down the page. eventually, by doing this, i figured out the events that i want to take place in the chapter!! i REALLY recommend this technique if you have trouble committing to a direction on a story.
getting away from craft discussion and back to general advice— if you have any writerly-inclined friends, talking to them can be a great help! if you’ve both got projects going on, it’s a lot of fun to take turns listening to each other’s ideas, or talking through blocks. it’s also just fun and mutually encouraging to hype each other up!!
taking care of yourself is WAY more important than having a consistent schedule or word output— learned this one the hard way! if you feel dread and not excitement every time you approach the proverbial typewriter, you’re not gonna have fun writing, and you’re not gonna wanna come back to it!! there’s no shame in taking a break. if you WANT, you can use the break time to research or work on inspirational stuff for your project (art, graphics, playlists, etc), or you can read things and look for techniques and other things that inspire you. but even then, treating Everything you do as work/a prereq for your writing can get tiring. you’re a whole person, not just a writer! it’s okay to let the writer rest so the person can hang out and enjoy things.
that’s about all that’s coming to mind right now— sorry, i know this got a little longwinded! but i hope this was helpful, and if you’ve got any further questions or anything, please feel free to hit me up. my degree is in english and i truly genuinely get a kick out of talking shop (writing) with people!

just realized that my assumption that i'll get everything right on the first try is probably a fatal flaw. see: me not buying an xbox x clamp tool because "remove it, solder, put it back on! i'm only gonna remove it once", me fucking up my college flowchart by failing a few classes, me not bringing the whole spindle of old unused DVD-R because clearly i'll fix the wii on the first try

sometimes, i'm questioning my existence and decisions. Am I doing it right? Does my obedience really pay the price?
Tama ba yung decision ko na pakawalan at bitawan yung mga taong naging parte ng buhay ko just to obey? and protect the next generation? I don't know where can my obedience bring me.
I watch GAP The series. To be honest, I'm not after the two girls' relationship as what they are portraying in the series. I am after their relationship behind the scenes. They seem to know each other a lot. Freen protects Becky at all costs. I used to have a friendship like that.
nung hs ako, kay rose and april, ynnah. Nung elementary ako, kay mary ann. Nung nasa NCR kami, kay martina. nung first year college ako kay pauline and kay vane. and etong naka graduate ako, kay 1995 naman and kay talaarawan.
As i continually watching the relationship of becky and freen, I realized one thing. That what I want is a sister that I can protect. I can take care of.
I used to be the one na nag hihilot kay 1995 when she doesnt feel well. tatakbo talaga ko kahit saan makakita lang ng eficacent oil at supot ng pandesal kasi hinihika sya. I always blame myself everytime na inaatake sya. ayoko syang mawala knowing that I promise to myself that i will take care everyone na nagiging parte ng buhay ko. The other one is si talaarawan. we both have same humor in almost everything. until that one mistake ruined everything. i don't know if everything was ruined or the wrong foundation of our friendship are just being exposed.
whtever.
I'm still jealous of the friendships that other people have outside and inside of the ministry. i was like, bakit di ko pwedeng maranasan yon? is it really me? if it's me, why I can't spot the missing piece that will make me real? that will make me complete?
si joseph kay 1995. si talaarawan kay flowchart and etc. i dont know what to do really. i feel like I'm lost between being an old soul and being me. being yellow.
i don't really know how my life can transform the world. I don't know how can it really transform another's life. am I really significant?
i thought, I don't need affirmation. I do pala. natakpan na kasi kami ng glory to God. na mimis-use na ang glory.
God is a jealous God, that's true. But maybe on our way to knowing God and His Kingdom, we can use the little description of HIM to us? that we're created in HIS IMAGE.
You are significant.

The Best Study Methods for Engineering Students
Here I am talking about learning techniques for engineering students in the Best Engineering College in Jaipur. Given content is very helpful for engineers in their learning. This technique makes your study more enjoyable.
Become A Troubleshooter
In the best engineering college in Rajasthan, there are not any professors spoon-feeding you information, giving you homework, your lectures are not full on information, or end-of-semester exams for you to prove yourself. In the real world or college, there are many simple poor problems and every problem has a solution and you need to find that solution yourself and resolve the problem. Sometimes the solution is acceptable or unacceptable.
In college, academically or professionally, you need to change your mindset. You need to learn yourself, no one is there to solve your problem or say you to study.
Discover Your Learning Style
There are many learning styles such as visual learner (learn by images or visuals), auditory learner (learn by listing and sounds), physical learner( learn by hands-on or tactile interaction), etc. these are the seven learning techniques you may need to mix all these for engineering. Identifying and understanding your learning style can be very helpful for you, especially when your professor's teaching style does not match your learning style.
Some professors are habitual of using a lot of words and formulas in their classes but they ignore the images, diagrams, flowcharts, etc. for students who are visual learners, this can be frustrating and problematic. And a professor’s learning techniques are related to using mathematical theory and formulas with some real-life examples is problematic for the physical learner. your first job as an aspiring engineer to discover your learning style.
Read Your Book Without Any Purpose
There are many reasons, engineering students in the top engineering colleges of Rajasthan read their textbooks. Maybe it's to resolve your problem with your homework or assignment. After the solution, they leave the textbook for a while, and they pick up the book again when they saw another problem. They just find an example for the solution in a particular topic. By this, they missed many things and untouched information or data in that book that’s why you may make yourself a daily learner. Fix a time to learn a book daily, that can make you a more efficient student in your class and it is surely helpful in your career also.
Group Study
Learning in a group is very beneficial for every student. Engineering is a field where you can new techs every day so every student can’t solve every problem. That’s why group study is beneficial for every student.
Group study can allow you to learn different-different perspectives and expose alternative ways to solve the problem. Sometimes someone’s method is more efficient than yours so it is beneficial here also.
Group study gives you a proper environment for learning. The study needs an environment and group study gives you. You can share your ideas, theories, formulas, equations, etc. with each other. You can help another one or you can get help also on the spot.
Someone told that “Listing is the best way to gain knowledge”. Through group study, you can gain knowledge more effectively. By listening you can memorize 80% of that topic which is listened to by you in a group study.
Make group only 3 to 5 students not more than this because if more students include in can make environment worst or make a disturbance. Select your level of student and then learn together.
Every Group Members Need To Understand Every Solution
The main drawback of group study is only 2 or 3 people are focusing on the solution or finding solutions, others are just waiting for their solution and following them.
Everyone needs to participate in the problem-solving process, find a solution and work yourself on the problem then every member should explain their solution to each and every member of the group and discuss it with them. This is an effective way to find a new and better solution to problems in a subject.

Hey Jam, how did your exams go? Also, what's your final project about?
oh hey Al!! :D
they were… surprisingly easy for some reason?? probably bc of that 3-day learning session beforehand, but damn!!
anyways this might get long sooo i’m putting this under the cut!!
so, our final project in one of our courses was to form a group & make a c++ program (of any function) that applies whatever we learnt throughout the term. that means we got conditional statements & iterations to put in there, as well as self-defined functions for good measure!
so my friends & i made what is essentially a program of food recommendations that are outside but near our college, so that students would know where to eat without going to the canteen all the time!
it’s… quite a long, long code
we need to present that, as well as submit its documentation, by the next monday sooo imma try and do its flowcharts throughout the weekend—
