In case anyone was wondering about my wonderful worm, here is 7 month old vs the now approximately 2 year old Poptart the palmetto corn snake ! Her colors have developed so intensely, she no longer is a tiny pink worm, and contrary to what I was told about the morph she did definitely gain spots, and spots that she initially had have grown in size as well!
When I found out about this fascinating corn variety a couple of years ago, I’ve been wanting to take color match photos of the stunning multicolor kernels.
Its origin traces back to Carl Barnes, a part-Cherokee farmer living in Oklahoma. Barnes had an uncanny knack for corn breeding. More specifically, he excelled at selecting and saving seed from those cobs that exhibited vivid, translucent colors. After many years, his painstaking efforts created this wondrous corn cultivar called Glass Gem Corn.
So glad I’m finally able to match their colors! See my page to see the Pantone color matches 😊
This baby snake doesn't know what gender is, but I do. To all our trans, non-binary, and genderqueer friends: we see you, we value you, we support you unconditionally!
First time drawing Fanon Eclipse and man i forgot how hard it is to pose that many arms without covering literally everything up.
Also if you see me post future art and the colors of the characters are totally different shhh don't say anything I've been slacking on making real refs for them
first @yeehawgust prompt was 'gather the posse' and since I'm using this challenge as a way to explore new characters I just took that to mean "design the fuckers"
anyways, Whiskey and Tago. Tbh this pose was meant to be more a metaphor thing than literal, but it's making me strongly consider changing Whiskey to being a they/them(plural) instead of a they/them(singular).
