hey, I’m fascinated by Sasha and the way you draw them, do you have any stories or info you want to share about them?

god um. some of this may still be incomprehensible because it's missing context, they have literally so much lore

they're a contract negotiator for a pharmaceutical company, which they've been an employee of since the 1950s, because the company technically (though it now does its best to not be associated with that) started as an organized crime ring, which sasha worked as a cleaner for because they couldn't... get any other job, other employers just kept turning them away, so when a guy asked them if they wanted to do some janitorial work, they went sure! and then found out "janitorial work" really meant "cleaning up bodies"

the thing is that even after this, they didn't leave, because 1 they were scared 2 they were getting paid, which after being cut off by their legal guardians (something something no help for people with congenital disabilities in adulthood) they needed money for medical supplies, because i don't care that the mitrofanoff procedure didn't exist until the 1980s, i'm trying to make a point

eventually they graduate to enforcer due to "no one else left because their boss keeps killing their coworkers" but they're extremely adverse to it, and after their like kind of father figure i guess gets killed their final straw snaps, this aligns with morgan sniffing around, and when they're sent to quiet him they instead ask him for help because like at their heart sasha doesn't want to hurt people themself and doesn't want people to be hurt by others either, they are fucking literally terrified of themself due to both being a violent child and being treated like they're evil their entire life

anyway they never manage to "take walter down", he gets killed which is what puts an end to the group, and his son forms an actual pharmaceutical company out of its skeleton as an "apology to the public", due to the fact that walter was using a pharmacy he bought from small time business owners as a front. so the company becomes the fucking monster it is now, and sasha still needs the money, so they stay

and after a few years this like... leads to sasha and morgan to start clashing over issues of morality, until sasha gets morgan fired, at which point they split completely, because morgan realizes sasha is just... a corporate lap dog now

...... also that's all just pre story but it's the foundation of their character i guess. one foundation. help

whereas the actual story is just, um, "things get worse and worse relentlessly". idk how to do plot summaries. dr colt has been working on what would be a revolutionary heart medication for years with her team, and marie (... current ceo) freezes it for bullshit reasons, but then the company starts to go bankrupt until she picks dr colt's project back up, which secures a bunch of investors, she promises them they'll get their cut of the deal in another like 10 years, but they're not satisfied with that so she gets dr colt to find a way to speed up the process. dr colt discovers this way is dangerous. really bad things happen

i'm just using them as a device to rant about medical capitalism, though they're just one facet of it

and i was originally actually writing this but i am just... not well enough so i'm choosing alternate means of telling this story

and i do have so many like written scenes because "writing ahead" was one of the ways that helped me figure out like, sequencing, and i have had a comic sketched since october, i just need my like, hand to work

because writing is still one of the ways i want to do this i think, it's not the easiest but it's easier for me than like, comics

if i /had/ the ability to do so and i definitely don't i really do wish i could do an actual webcomic because i /know/ exactly what happens in this story and there isn't any real ending because it's just... i don't like, like stories where they take down the evil corporation especially when i'm trying to make a point, i like, like, just idk people surviving? because that's how it is irl, but

The Great Shift:Another man and in your own body

Few can understand how I feel now, it's very fucked up to have to see how your son marries another man and in your own body.

-And now you can kiss - said the priest and without wasting a second I saw my old face being kissed by another man while everyone watched and celebrated

When all this "Great Shift" happened, I was working in my home office and in a blink of an eye I was now in a classroom surrounded by a bunch of outrageous screaming children, some of whom were in unknown bodies but in my case, I was in the body of my son Johnny.

the cell phones stopped working for a couple of hours and everything was total chaos. It was tough to be able to get home with these short legs and with such a weak body at only 10 years old. In my pocket, I only had 5 dollars and a handful of candy.

It was all huge, I never thought it would feel like this to be a kid again with my bright adult mind, all the adults looked so tall and strong that I couldn't help but shed a couple of tears while using Johnny's little feet, but after a couple of hours walking you can get to my house, I was tired, I was sweaty and confused, however, none of that compared to the surprise I found in my house. somehow Johnny's best friend ended up in the body of our neighbor Mr. Jones?

I was worried about what would happen to Johnny in my body not knowing that he and his best friend were getting acquainted with his new adult bodies, the problem being that they were doing it naked. when I entered the house I found my son using my body to kiss and caress Robert's body -Young man what the hell are you doing with my body?- Jonny and Mr. Jones stopped kissing and masturbating to throw a small smile.

-oh! wow! Dad are you? Is it really you inside my body? am I really that small? Don't worry this is my friend Colt, isn't it cool that he will end up in Mr. Jones's body?, by the way, didn't you meet Mrs. Jones on the way here? she went to look for her husband at school-

All the concern I had about my son's safety was in vain, he seemed to have been having a good time in my body, when I entered my house I found a mess, there were empty beer cans in the kitchen, cigarette ash in the room and of course the naked and sweaty body of Mr. Johnson.

In the end… I never got my body back, I had to get used to this body and my new height, it was very difficult having to see how my son took over all my responsibilities, my friends, and my job but it was worse when I found his friend Colt moving to our house. but what could he do now? It wasn't like I could stop my son now, he was so much stronger, taller and he was the one paying the bills in the house.

I just hope that I can sleep tonight and that my son is not so loud on his wedding night and that they are wearing condoms.

She is cupping her chin thoughtfully between the forefinger and thumb of one hand, mouth curled in a mischievous little smile. "Yup. Definitely aliens," she declares.

4: Víctor stands next to John, a 30-something white man with close-shaved brown hair, grey eyes, a sparse goatee, and thick square glasses. John is holding a smartphone and is wearing a blue zip up hoodie over a tee shirt with a cartoon floppy disk declaring "I am your father" to a USB stick that replies "Nooo!". Víctor points uncertainly to the phone and says "Yeah, send him a, uh, telegram." John squints skeptically back at him and replies "Sure, 'time travel guy'," clearly believing it's all an act.

5a: Back in the 1860s. A Navajo man with long back hair, dimples, and a scar on his chin smiles softly at the viewer. He is wearing a flat-brimmed hat with a beaded band, patterned scarf, tan cotton shirt, and denim coat. His hair is pulled back in a tsiiyeel with white thread, two long beaded braids in front. 5b: The Navajo man sits at a bar with Víctor, smirking slightly as he says "Well right now, I'm a mite curious about the man sitting next to me." Smiling back, Víctor responds flirtatiously, "Oh?"

6: John, standing next to Mari in a white dress shirt and orange tie, frowns and fiddles nervously with his fingers. "I personally would like to not get eaten." Mari, lifting her upper lip to display an impassive fang, replies "I will do my best, man."

7a: A shadowy figure in a hoodie runs in fear, pursued by Mari, claws out and face in deep shadow other than the bright hungry yellow glow of her eyes. 7b: Close up of Mari as she snaps out of it suddenly, looking frightened of herself as her claws freeze mid-attack.

8a: Víctor and Bea sit together in the backseat of a car. Víctor is explaining something about vampires, his speech bubbles containing drawings of first a animalistic naked half-bat creature with stone-gray skin and wings and then a purplish humanoid in a waistcoat hissing as his skin smokes in the sun. Bea listens with rapt excitement, leaning forward with a giant grin. 8b: John in the driver's seat looking nervous and uncomfortable, hands at ten and two as he stares pointedly out the front windshield. He says, "Crazy day today, huh guys?" Looming behind him is the "are ya winning, son?" meme. /end ID]

After taking a year off working to focus on his physical and mental health, Colt is pulled back into working as a stuntman on his ex's film. The star of the movie goes missing and Colt is tasked by the producer to find him. Meanwhile, Colt is also trying to get back into his ex's good graces. As the mystery of the star's disappearance deepens, Colt finds himself trapped in a criminal plot.

The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Hannah Waddingham, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, and Stephanie Hsu. David Leitch directs from a screenplay by Drew Pearce. The film is inspired by the 1980s TV series of the same name.

The Fall Guy hits theaters on March 1, 2024.

Las Vegas Raiders

Raiders fire Josh McDaniels after starting 2-10 and losing to the Chiefs Week 12 in Las Vegas, and promote defensive coordinator Patrick Graham to be their interim head coach.

Patrick Graham will finish the season with a record of 2-3, leaving the Raiders with a final record of 4-13.

The Raiders will fire general Manager Dave Ziegler, interim coach Patrick Graham, and a majority of the rest of McDaniels' staff after the regular season is completed.

Tennessee Titans

Starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill gets injured early in the season, and the Titans allow scond-year QB Malik Willis and rookie Will Levis to struggle for the starting spot before Levis wins it outright after during Tennessee's bye week in Week 7.

Levis then manages to lead the Titans to an 8-3 record from the bye week on, putting up Rookie of the Year-worthy numbers... if he had started the full season.

The Titans still manage to fall in the Wildcard Round to a tough Browns team, but this year still cements Levis as the starting quarterback going into 2024, with Tannehill likely to be moved by the front office in the offseason.

Washington Commanders

Ron Rivera is fired after a Week 16 loss to the Jets, finishing his season in Washington with a record of 4-11. Assistant head coach and Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is promoted to be the interim head coach.

Bieniemy then coaches the Commanders to a 2-0 record in the final games, and after the season, his interim tag is dropped in order to make Eric Bieniemy the full-time head coach of the Washington Commanders in 2024.

Aside

Originally, I had afew wonkier predictions, namely the Cardinals and Colts trading their respective picks to quarterback-needy teams so those unnamed teams could select one of USC QB Caleb Williams or UNC QB Drake Maye.

My only reservation was that by the time October comes around, we're gonna have seen a much better sample size of football in 2023, so I'm certain I'll have opinions on it. I'd just like to save some for the wilder stuff for when there's a clearer picture to expand upon.

Ideally, I'd like to do one of these at the end of every month of the season, so we'll see how that goes.
