i though it would be fun to try my hand at drawing the new ghoul cowboy character from the tv show with a retro twist! a little more in line with the older fallout style, just for fun, though this is a mishmash between a bunch of different ghoul design elements from 1 - 4. the mouth split and eye cover is pretty old school, but his facial features are more modern
i was thinking of fun ways to make him emote. eventually i landed on this, keeping his bottom lip and having the skin split as a body language supplement!
I'm so normal about murderbot and ART. I'm so normal about it, you don't even know. ART cleaning the ship and yelling at its crew to put their laundry away bc Mensah is coming aboard does not make me want to roll around on the floor shrieking. I did not almost die when murderbot said it wanted to keep being with ART. not even a little. I'm so so so so so so so normal about all of it. so normal
everyday i have strong feelings about aroace luffy but im so brave and im not rude about it and i dont throw bricks at anyone even once. i need to work on a constructive outlet for these strong feelings or i might snap though
What l want for s5 is a parallel to the van scene + that heart-to-heart scene in Will’s room where this time, Will and Mike are talking in Mike’s room and Will off-handedly mentions that since his house got raided so all the art he made last year (we all know it’s 6 months but these two are so dramatic-) is probably gone by now and that’s a shame, and then Mike goes “Can I show you something?” and pulls out a binder of all the art Will had given him over the years, and Will just flips through it in shock but he’s smiling with every page he turns and Mike watches Will with a soft smile of his own too and then they share a look but before they can talk they get interrupted-
points at how john interacts with, talks about, and even resurrected g1deon
points at how john engages with augustine in comparison to both g1deon and mercy (will get more into in just a second)
points at how ianthe sought power in her relationship to john by shifting to a more masculine presentation, when before she had a relatively feminine presentation
points at how john seems to take some extra joy out of both shaping alecto into the appearance of a white woman and also how he seems to feel a very specific facet of power in how he engages with mercy, who is also presumably a white woman
points at the concept that if pyrrha WAS a white woman there's a very specific exchange in how john perceives and engages with her relationship to g1deon
points at how cavaliers are repeatedly referred to, in some way, as largely darker in skin-tone than the necromancers AND how they're constantly described with/compared to beasts in some sense
points at how john is fixated on the roman empire and also catholocism
points at actual catholicism (and the history it has with race and colorism)
now.
is it hard to see how colorism is also a possible read into his character
Alex Turner’s voice is just fucking soothing and calming its like a warm blanket during winter and a cool beverage on a hot summer day you can either scream and shout and jump along to it till you can’t breathe anymore or just get comfortable and actually fall asleep to him telling you about his, sorry Mark’s, well reviewed taqueria on the hotel’s roof.
" if you go in the pool and pretend like you desperately need this life guard to come in and help you so i can also cool off right now, i will pay for your lunch, i swear. "
hmm there's something about how the main victims in knives out and glass onion...not exactly bring their deaths upon themselves, no, i wouldn't say that, but are so confident they're in control that they are oblivious to the web they've trapped themselves in, that as they begin to detest the main group (for understandable reasons) they still don't comprehend the obvious threat
And this is true even at their very ends - they each had a chance to dodge death, but don't, because they're convinced their plan is working
i should have known bl shipper fans are always deranged (derogatory) and can't separate life and fiction... feels lonely to be a fan of nut and enjoying his friendship w sailub while simultaneously supporting their works with other partners... idk why cp fans make such a big deal about trying to prove the closeness/realness of a koojin as if that's gonna save a series from bad acting or terrible script
