this website romantic-era songs has recordings of a bunch of music that was popular in the romantic era, including recordings of poetic works that were originally intended to be set to music. examples incl. lord byron's famous poems vision of belshazzar (a real banger!) & she walks in beauty (not what i expected having read it beforehand without it's music, but it was byron's own favorite to listen to). i really love this one the waters of elle by lady caroline lamb, also composed by isaac nathan. he was a famous jewish-english musician who later relocated to australia and introduced classical music there, & is thus sometimes called "the father of australian music" (apparently, according to his wiki, he was also the first person in the southern hemisphere to die in a tram incident after he got there... oddly specific factoid, but alright).

Gale stands by the bathroom door, watching Bucky sleep on his stomach, his face buried in Gale's pillow. He's still naked - only a haphazardly arranged blanket covers his middle. His long legs and most of his back are bare. He looks soft and warm.

Gale could just crawl back into the space carved for him under the curve of Bucky's arm, pull the covers properly over them and let Bucky embrace him until they can’t delay getting up any longer. They're planning to spend the whole day in this room, but he doesn’t think they will be bored even if they just do more of the same as last night. This is still so new to them. They're learning each other.

But Gale doesn’t lie to himself. He wants Bucky to make love to him with all the passion he puts into the things he loves. He wants to feel what it's like to have him so deep inside that he forgets they're not one. At least once in this life, even if he doesn’t like it. He can feel the desire pool in his stomach like a hot cup of tea, but he’s nervous. It ought to hurt. It’s a crime. It might be humiliating - although that thought is just the fear speaking, he’s sure. Perhaps he’s not very good at taking it. His lack of experience pricks at him. He doesn’t like to lose control.

He raps his knuckles soundlessly against the wooden doorframe. The gist of the logistics involved is not hard to guess. He knows what goes where and how he wants it to. But there’s only one way he’ll let Bucky touch his ass. He's gotta make sure he’s all... ready for it. Even if it's strange and uncomfortable.

He glances at the bathtub, then back at Bucky. He’s not sure if they'll do it today, but he wants to give it a chance and the longer he waits, the more likely that Bucky wakes up and catches him trying to gear himself up for it. He bows his head and takes a deep breath. His eyes catch on something - a purpling bite mark above his hip.

He traces it with his fingertips. It doesn’t occur to him that he’s smiling. After a moment, he steps over the threshold and closes the bathroom door. He can do this.

while acting as guest dj on mbcfm's starry night radio today (february 18th), minho discussed jonghyun's "skeleton flower" and story op 1. baek suntak: i know all shinee mmbers all have worked hard for solos, right? but, for this, i want to recommend jonghyun's "skeleton flower". his songs are so beautiful. he is a person that cannot be forgotten, right? (another translation mentioned how baek suntak shared how he put a lot of thought into which song by jonghyun he should pick because he has a lot of good songs. he also said that jonghyun will always be remembered in his memory as a kind person.) minho: yes, other than so many memories with him ..., the thing i remember most is: he and the company often had a lot of different opinions. jonghyun was worried a lot, saying: "how can i do this ..." and i was like: "why! just do it! i'll support you! it's good!" we were roommates (in the dorm) and, thus, whenever he worked on songs, his computer would light up the room. when he showed me his songs, i'd be like: "oh! it's so good!" and jokingly said: "it's not hyung who made this, right?" and he would be like: "i made this!" minho also mentioned a conversation that he had with jonghyun when he was preparing the album regarding how what he was preparing was different from what the company was pursuing and how he was stuck. minho: in that case, just remove that and try to prepare it on it's own. jonghyun: i was thinking about that too, to see how it goes. minho: yup, do it. you have my support. after this, he shared how, after the album was released, he found out that jonghyun was scared before they had that conversation. Composition Seminar:

This week I watched more of the seminars on Moodle. I first watched the composition seminars.

I quite enjoyed watching this as it’s interesting to see the many types of art installations people create using space and the area they choose. It got me thinking about how art occupies a space and that we should really think before putting our work somewhere.

It also helps to realise that certain spaces or areas will suit a piece better for the consideration of the viewer, such as how are we to get them to focus their attention onto the piece?

Also thinking about the engagement with people and how it’s going to sound was good to hear. There was an art piece where there were metal faces all across the floor and it was a silent room but once someone stood on it, it made loud noises. Thinking about how it’s going to be presented is very important to a good art piece.

i love how in ur fic (the first one of compositions) u write a difference in how buck and bucky give head, where bucky kind of holds buck’s hips down and does as he wishes whereas buck lets bucky thrust into his mouth. what made u write it like that?

Hi 😊 I see we're going back to the roots haha. This was my first Mota fic, Nocturne.

"Under his hands, Gale's muscles tense and relax in rhythm. It's a heady thrill to have control over his pleasure, to dole it out at the pace he wants, and Gale takes it so readily, quietly."

I haven't thought of this aspect too deeply at the time, but I always thought Gale would let himself be controlled if he was with the right person. Plus, Gale is almost a virgin in this fic, he has never had sex with a man and only a few times with Marge, while Bucky is quite experienced. So I imagine Gale would welcome some extra guidance until he gains some experience.

It’s impossible not to move towards his touch. Bucky tries, but his control slips, and his hips twitch up, feeding Gale another inch in one desperate thrust.

Then, when Gale is the one giving head, Bucky can’t stay still. Gale doesn’t hold him down though - because this is his first time trying this, so he doesn’t want to take control completely. He wants Bucky to show him what he likes and what's good. Well, Bucky likes to thrust. And Gale is happy to take it.

Edit: This is slightly different from how Gale behaves in Aubade, and that's because Gale is not afraid of giving head at all but he is a little bit afraid of bottoming. Gale's way of handling fear is wanting control.

(he was a regular guest on the show for awhile.) on "view": minho said that the public may think that "ring ding dong" or "lucifer" is shinee's representative song but, to him, that song is "view". he went on to state how many believe that title tracks must be powerful and that there was worry that the song would work for shinee as a group and be too "weak" as a title track. there was concern, but shinee liked it "so much" and minho believes that it is "a song that shows shinee's colors as a team". he also mentioned that kim eana also wrote lyrics for "view", but lost to jonghyun.
