I brought my old mechanical HP keyboard with me when I moved to the US and married my wife, over ten years ago. Haven't been back since (because financials). The keyboard was already a few years old at the time, and it has held up admirably. But, it's finally starting to really break down. The numpad especially. Which sucks, because I actually do use the numpad with some frequency.

Anyway, I don't suppose anyone knows a reasonably cheap way to get a Swedish/Nordic keyboard in the US? Like, I literally just want a basic, wired, full-size, preferably mechanical (I like haptics) keyboard with all the keys in the places I'm used to, and I'm having no luck with my search skills. I don't need keys that light up or anything like that. Just the most basic kind of keyboard.

A while back I tried mailing HP to ask them if I could buy one straight from them (because, like I said, my current keyboard is HP and has held up for well over a decade, so I wanted to give them a chance), and they were like "but you don't live in Sweden, we only sell those in Sweden".

I've found some on Amazon, but then the pictures provided don't include Å Ä Ö, so I'm hesitant to order. Danish or Norwegian would be fine too, I can cope with seeing Æ and Ø instead, I know how to fix that with computer settings.

how the fuck do you get rid of this toolbar. i don't know what it's called. i don't use any of these apps because i don't like them. i've tried turning this off with settings in edge even though i don't use edge and it shows up when edge isn't running. this is windows 10

i've tried googling it but i don't know what to call it anymore since all of my previous searches for how to fix this haven't worked for more than 10 hours

Can anyone tell me, in extremely layman's terms, how to downgrade to a previous ASUS BIOS version?

My computer issues started after I was forced to update the BIOS and, after running every test I can think of through 3 different programs (including the BIOS screen itself) and finding no errors, all I can think to do is revert the BIOS update and see if that fixes it.

But every tutorial I can find greatly overestimates my knowledge of computers.

The one video I did find to try to follow, I got most of the way through and the program (winflash) spat out a message (file size invalid) that I can't even find anywhere else what the hell that means.

When I try to turn on my laptop, the light comes on, and I can hear it running, but the screen doesn't come on. It usually shuts off a second later, though sometimes it'll just sit like that until I turn it off again. I know this probably isn't the best place to ask for help, but idk what else to do. Is there anyone who knows what the problem might possibly be?

@spamtoon I know you play Toontown but to anyone that finds this I have a major emergency on my hands. My laptop unexpectedly broke but I can still use it, but I’m going to need a replacement. Is there a way I can keep my toons progress and transfer it to my new laptop? I think you can do it through signing into your corporate clash account on the new laptop, but I am not sure. I’ve made a lot of progress in the game and I don’t want to just have it thrown all away because my stupid laptop broke on me after having it for less than two years.

HEY SO IM NOT DEAD!!!

I am in the middle of a pickle though... its not DIRE but it would be a great help to get the word out there. The laptop I currently use to do my art and keeping contact with people is EXTREMELY outdated (at least a 20 year old model). So much as the video card can't even handle Clip studio Paint any longer... as well as Blender or Unity.

I am wanting to get into making models and VRchat worlds as well as 3D model commissions. However the computer I currently have can not handle the programs.

I had a second laptop at the ready to replace this 20 year old dinosaur, however taking it to a computer repair place to get the screen replaced (it was given to me with a broken screen) I was informed the power source the person had given me was way too strong and had fried the motherboard. To replace the motherboard it would cost about $700...

So you think why not just get a new laptop?

The old baby I have right now is slowing down quickly and I do not know how much longer it will stay working... the battery is already unable to hold a charge longer than 20 minutes... as well as the wifi card in it is slowly dying as of late. It turns itself off at random, forcing me to go into the wifi access tab and not only re-connecting the wifi, but having to turn ON the wifi connection to my laptop like one would turning it on their phone every time.

So here we have the commission prices I am able to do right now!!!

My harddrive is dying and I need to rescue several hundreds of pictures (something like 10 GB? could be more). Any tips what would be the cheapest method to do so?

"Just copy your pics to an usb stick" unfortunately doesn't work, because the system has become terribly slow and freezes after a while.

My last backup is from March 2022, so that's a lot of sims history that still needs saving.

are any of you familiar with LinkedIn? I've only just started using it - in our class they had us each create a new LinkedIn account for ourselves so that we can use it when we start the job search portion of this training class. they had us fill in our "About" section, and post a photo of ourselves and a background image.

but now, within about 4 days of account creation, several of us in the class have had our accounts placed on "temporary restriction". I've looked at a few articles that say that this means we've broken the terms of service for LinkedIn, but I can't imagine what we would have done that would have triggered that response, especially because we've literally just followed the directions of our instructor to fill out the profile with our own information.

i've submitted my ID to them for verification but I've heard that this can take up to week to get a response, and honestly i'm just irritated as heck. my instructor suggested that I just set up a new account, but I'm kind of worried that that's just going to make the problem worse (lead to restrictions on the new account because it's the same person).

any info on this, has this happened to you before?
