valtteri bottas won 10 races over the span of 5 years in merc for rocketship reference, and checo perez won 5 races with redbull over 3 years.

when ppl think nico is the hope for second drivers to pull off a wdc against their generational teammate, they're wrong. bc he's not the trend, he's the statistical anomaly. and he was no second driver.

Ok so, I was thinking about how, in a lot of fics for the other seasons of life, they're in the games for like a few weeks/months but it couldn't be like that this time cause they have 24 hours. But then I remembered

Normal dead is -3 days

Normal kill is +1.5 days

one of the first pieces of info we were given abt this universe is that the (manchester-based) institute burned down in 1999

it has been well established that tmagp is going to be constructed to be beginner friendly

other contextual bits of info seem to suggest that this story is going to be about exploring similar but not identical concepts in different ways (see also the amount of time that’s already been spent on the cataloguing system)

which is not to suggest you can’t or shouldn’t think about or focus on the institute and its role in this world, but i do think that its focus and inclusion in episode one was more as like, an orientation session for existing fans: like, here is the burnt out corpse of something we recognise. here is a place filled with ghosts you swear you could identify. and here it is in a place you do not yet know or understand. like i just don’t think it’s going to be The Central Focus

Everything in BGH exists and happens because I thought it would be cool or funny. Also it's a pun on "reinforced concrete", which works better in Russian (сталик + бетон = железобетон)
