I know it’s a cut line but Victor comparing Benny’s name to “Bunny” is so condescending and makes so much more sense than calling him fancy pants like he does in game proper.

Victor is a creation of House and his personal spy bot for the Courier and inadvertently Benny. Knowing how patronizing House can be I can imagine it’s a hated in joke between House and Benny that whenever Benny asks too many questions or is being combative House would tell him to hop along and purposely mispronounce his name as “Bunny”. Him adding it to the more personalitied Securitrons is a petty thing he would do.

Bonus irritation on Benny’s part if you imagine he adopting the name Benny at House’s behest and now it’s being used to mock him.

The Overhaul and All for One parallels have been discussed ad infinitum, but Muscular is also an All for One parallel. They are both the source of trauma of "a little boy" who then rejected everything about their society. Muscular caused Kota to become an orphan by killing his parents. All for One orchestrated Shimura Tenko's troubled childhood and the death of his family. And Izuku in both cases is set up as the hero who must save that little boy.

Also, both Muscular and All for One have a quirk that could be construed as as a superior version of how they understood One for All. In that at this point most characters perceived One for All as a strength quirk, and Muscular could withstand it at 100 percent. And that One for All can be viewed as an underdeveloped All for One that can only give itself rather than All for One that can give and take other quirks.

Thoughts on whumpee with an attitude,,? I feel like theres a lot of whumpees who need to be cared for and are whiny and stuff which is cool when done right but its fun to write/read ab whumpees w an attitude. Whumpees who like are fearful to some extent but aren’t super broken up ALL of the time. One that ends up more self confident in what they do/don’t want after whumper instead of only looking to caretaker for support/guidance to build them back up.

Like a whumpee who’s been drugged denying painkillers bc they actually can take the pain and don’t like the resurfacing memories + a caretaker thats overbearing

I do love Whumpees with an attitude, but to be quite honest, not towards Caretaker ^^" Mentally stronger doesn't mean headstrong. There's a fine line between attitude, confidence and being a dick. But, same goes for Caretaker; there's a line between worried and condescending. Me, I like those things in the middle. Whumpees who are self-sufficient but need some help and someone to call them out every now and then. (Or not and they collapse because angst >:3 )

The Nightmare hisses with scowling agony written across his face as he stumbles out of the entryway of a secluded house. Protected by miles of dense forest. It is the perfect hideout for the otherworldly. And a possible lead worth investigating for Cain's immortal predicament.

But the issue with dealing with supernatural creatures is that on rare occasions, someone knows how to deal with Nightmares.

It is a pretty rudimentary trap- but a fucking painful one. Silver wire lined with intricate ancient sigils. It snares around the Corinthian's body like vice- pinning his left arm against his chest, and his right unable to be raised. How the monster stumbles down the gravel path, one could mistake him for the living dead. Contorted and jerking erratically as the Nightmare tries to break free from the magical snare.

The magic drains. Sapping everything from him like a leech. Ocular maws groan as it collapses to its knees. The silver bindings tighten, searing against his skin where it manages to cut through cloth.

The preoccupied Nightmare's mind at first doesn't register the clapping. But the heavy grind of boots on gravel and the rhythmic beat slowly grabs his attention. Forcing the Creation to raise its head with difficulty. The muscles in his neck spasm. His jaw set impossibly tight, yet he still manages a distasteful grimace towards Cain's attitude.

i like using those "have you seen this movie" polls to pitch my unwatched faves as much as the next guy but its annoying how much of the response to these is like. really condescending at people for not hearing about movies. or saying things like "i hate you all whats wrong with you" etc. like. shut up omg you are embarrassing.

and yet i feel this unrelenting need to clarify why certain remarks about lewis this past weekend upset me bc they're not the ones i see most people discussing.

the implication that lewis has always simply been handed the best vehicle, throughout his entire 30-year motorsports career, and that he's not actually talented and he's never had to fight for anything is an insidious and racist but infuriatingly pervasive narrative that i am allowed to be upset about when i see it being reinforced.

reinforced by quips such as "try racing in 19th and 20th. he's never done that in his life. so that's the only thing that lewis hasn't done in formula 1."

if your entire personality is "little bitch" then that's fine. and people can like you for being a little bitch. it's not the type of person i like but it sure seems entertaining for some. regardless of personality, i'm not here to debate one's value as a person or a driver. what i really care about is when you're a little bitch who is also wrong and lying. i can ignore one or the other but not both together. you can't be a bitch and tell a lie and then be shocked when it upsets people.

especially a subset of people who constantly have to deal with such revisionist history as this from, oh, i don't know, a majority of the entire sport's industry.

especially when if it were vice versa y'all would be crucifying whoever spoke a lie about your driver. never mind if they did it with a little spice. we'd all never hear the end of it.
