More dispatches from my Dark Urge, who is trying her best not to disappoint her girlfriend (I have just kicked off Act 3)

My Dark Urge run almost went a different direction because I thought Karlach's romance was bugged ("can't wait to bang you like a gong tonight," she insinuates, and five long rests later my gong remains unbanged), but I finally ran through everything else going on in my camp and was at long last rewarded.

Lisa Frank got that life-changing piping hot Karlussy and she is being SO GOOD now. She was already trending that way, but now there are no more secret midnight murder nibbles. She's gone cold turkey and wow is her butler sore about it

The sheer number of times he tried to talk me into murdering Isobel was kind of hilarious. "You really want to kill her! ...Now she's all alone, so she would be super easy to murder! ...It's not too late to murder Isobel! ...She's right there, PLEASE, just one little murder? For me?" Sorry, bud, Lisa Frank likes Karlach more than viscera.

And I was STRESSED during the segment when the butler shows up and is like, you didn't kill Isobel? Fine. You're gonna sleep-kill Karlach. I burned some inspiration to make sure I woke her up instead of strangling her and the subsequent scene was absolutely wild. If Lisa Frank couldn't scare Karlach off with the murder-madness and the snarling and the biting, I guess these girls really are endgame! Peace and love on Planet Camp.

(I continue to worry constantly about Scratch and the owlbear cub.)

I'm also very sure now that I was right about the Bhaal connection. Act 2 has a lot of good Dark Urge content and tasty, tasty hints, and I am absolutely going to have a big damn confrontation with Orin in Act 3, yeah? I am HYPE. Lisa Frank will rock that jutilated jarapace.

Unrelated to Dark Urging, I didn't fuck up recruiting Jaheira this time, but having her in my party was buggy as shit. First I somehow aggroed the Harpers during the tower fight and had to run deep into the wilds to get away from them. She never got the Flee option, but I guess they gave up chasing her after everyone else fled? I then had to give the Harpers gifts to talk to them again, because they were all at -40. I am 99% certain I didn't friendly-fire them during the fight. (Miette absolutely friendly-fired their asses and no one got mad at her, but who can stay mad at a perpetually affronted kitty?)

But this was merely the baffling beginning. Everything got turbo-weird at the top of the tower.

Jaheira took up a party member slot but was still attached to Lisa Frank like a summon after I invited her to join permanently, and idk if that's normal but it didn't seem normal. If I tried to go to camp before jumping down the big hole, she yelled at me and then vanished forever, and if I got in a fight with the Death Shepard, there was no way to end the combat without the game crashing. I thought I was being so clever using Invisibility to grab shit and scamper away without triggering the fight, but then I discovered killing Ketheric Thorm ALSO reliably crashed the game. I had to roll back to a save at the top of the tower, tell her to join me, and then send her ass to camp alone.

What a journey we went through together, and then didn't go through together after all.

Speaking of buggy shit: I recruited Minthara by seeing what would happen if I knocked her out in Act 1 instead of killing her, and the answer is that it counted for goblin leader removal purposes and that she turned up in Moonrise Tower in her underwear because I fully looted her unconscious body. I think the game doesn't really want you to do this, because she's sharing a tent with Halsin in a way that doesn't look comfortable or intentional. Or maybe they've got a thing going on, I sure won't judge. Anyway, I have been delighted by her takes on the other party members, especially her casual dismissal of Gale, hahaha.

I expect Act 3 to be a roller coaster, but my first order of business is getting into the city proper so I can blow all my money on fancy clothes and dyes. For two acts I have done my best with what I've been handed, but it's about to get FASHIONABLE up in here. Let us bid a fond farewell to Lisa Frank's Disney Princess era:

I finally remembered to Mich post at a convenient time. (Get it? Mich post? Sounds like shit post?)

Mich is an OC I created with @callofdooty and he is a massive meme! Half of the shit we gave to him character-wise was done with the thought "This would be funny." and we were 1) Right 2) Also somehow added depth+feels to it.

Mich, pronounced like Mitch, is actually named Michael. Full name, Michael Rorke. And he is Gabriel Rorke's older brother. Oh no, there's two of them! *Screaming* (Credit to Doot for naming him, the genius.)

Mich and Gabe grew up in a classically patriotic household, and were pretty close siblings, even with the latter having a temper for everyone. (Mich has a scar on his chin/side of his mouth because Gabe whipped a rock at him once.) Unfortunately, Mich was a bit of a black sheep and felt he didn't really fit in with his family, for various reasons. So once he could leave, he did, and just never really looked back. Which left Gabe feeling abandoned. (Mich's reasons range from not vibing with his parents authoritarian structure to being queer+trans and them not really being the best people to support that.)

After he was out of the house Mich went on to live his best life. He is best described as an anarchist weed-head woods-hermit survivalist. Quite the description! My favorite idea for him was that he'd live in "No Man's Land" post ODIN because the only government presence is the military, who doesn't really bother with random people in the woods.

Here's where the depth comes in: We decided the reason Gabe is the way he is, Americas ugliest lap-dog, is because he was upset with Mich for leaving and more or less rebelling against him for it. (I have a quote to sum it up "Rebellion for Mich was running away from their parents. Rebellion for Gabe was running away from Mich.") Mich didn't really intend to abandon Gabe, it's more or less something that happened and only tried to correct once they were both adults. (Which didn't really work out well. Gabe is very iffy with him.)

Now there's not a lot more to his "canon" because he just gets tossed into various scenarios and then reacts, but I do have a list of what are more-or-less "fun facts" about him.

Mich fun facts: -Isn't bald, unlike Gabe, but does keep his hair on the shorter side. -Regularly dyes his hair random colors and patterns, the latter of which he free hands. (Has never in his life set foot in a salon. Somehow hair hair isn't crunchy.) -Likes to use "Pal" and "Little buddy" whereas Gabe is always using "Jr" and "Kid" -Wrinklier and smilier version of his brother. They look hella alike, to the point that he wigs Hesh out when they first meet. -100% can and will adopt Hesh. That's his lil guy. Logan is not exempt from this either. -Has zero problem with Gabe joining the Federation. Is more upset about the whole "Murdering his homoerotic "best friend" and traumatizing both his sons" thing. -Fluent in Spanish+Portuguese. -Has no formal military training but finds no problem wielding firearms or finding himself in combat. (I mean, he lives in NML. That place always got some kinda battle. You gotta know some fighting skills.) -Bandannas and cowboy hats are his favorite headgear. -Keeps photos of him and Gabe on his person. -Constantly jokes that his full name is actually "Michigan" and that's what "Mich" is short for. -Performed his own top surgery. /J -Very laid back personality, though he's smart enough to know when/if he needs to be more serious/strict. -Incredibly annoyed that Rorke kinda stole their last name like it's his first name. -Very aware of whatever Elias and Gabe have/had going on. Very amused by it. -"Protect trans kids" flag in his front room. -Has multiple spouses. Romantically or just legally has yet to be decided. Not that he'd tell anyone. -Has kids. Mini Mich's causing chaos. (Just don't ask where the kids came from, mf made them from clay for all we know.) -Mich and Merrick are besties. (At the very least, Mich is the person Merrick tolerates the most. Outside Hesh.) -For all the quirks he really is just some fucking guy. -Daniel and The Cooler Daniel meme.

oh YES. here we go:

-i think bruce starts to engage in Society and this means galas, parties, and dates, while he's cleaning up the renewal fund

-he takes a date to the circus, and immediately forgets her when the graysons fall. all he can see is Dick Grayson, eyes wide, watching from the shadows. she has to get another ride home

-he doesn't just vanish with Dick. i think he leaps the barricade and gets Dick to stop staring.

-He sticks like glue to Dick's side. he doesn't just take him home-- he's there for hours, through the police tape, the statements. the circus is cleared out, and he stays there. Dick barely notices him until Bruce cuts in to stop a police officer from questioning him again.

-Dick wants to see the bodies and Bruce fights for him to get to see them one more time. He understands.

-The police are confused about what to do with Dick-- the circus aren't bio family, they can't seem to find anyone, and the fallback plan is social services until they can track down relatives for Dick.

-Dick vanishes

-Bruce and Pop Haley find him with the elephants. Bruce says he'll take him home, because this version of Bruce was traumatized by Riddler's orphanage trauma, and he can't watch that happen to someone else-- even if the orphanage isn't even there anymore.

-Haley urges Dick to go with him, because he knows about the corruption and is afraid for Dick.

-Bruce basically just tells the police he's taking Dick home. He bullshits a lie about Dick being a distant relative and nobody wants to challenge him.

-Dick is shellshocked for a day or two and then spends the next week attempting to run away, not to the circus, but to find the men he overheard threatening his parents

-He gets as far as inner Gotham once and Batman finds him on a very high roof. Bruce's panic is not insignificant.

-Dick immediately tries to bargain with Batman into helping him find and kill the men. Batman refuses, and Dick has a savage, trauma and grief-fueled breakdown on him. Batman takes him back to the Manor and Alfred.

-Bruce returns via the cave. Dick takes about two seconds to identify the blooming bruise he left on Bruce's cheek. He's figured it out.

-Dick, when not running away, is a mess-- he's having crying fits, sullen and withdrawn periods, or manic hyper and climbing everything and talking constantly. Bruce is getting him to eat, listening when he talks, and holding him when he cries. Dick does not seem to understand personal space, and Bruce is letting him set the boundary lines. If Dick wants to climb on his back or hang from his neck, then Dick gets to do that.

-Dick has decided Batman will help capture the men and Tony Zucco. He needs a costume for this. Batman agrees to let him ride in the car, that's it. It's also going to be CAPTURE, not murder, Dick.

-Dick does not stay in the car.

-Dick does not murder anyone but he's pretty close.

-Dick announces the next morning that he can't wait to see who they capture next.

-Bruce has a child now. It's too late to back out.

-The child keeps falling asleep on his shoulder.

-Alfred has Opinions until he sees Dick on the trapeze equipment Bruce installs for him.

-There is no normal way for Dick Grayson to burn off his energy, and having a way to help people is beating back the withdrawn grief.

-Robin becomes a fixture beside Batman. Most of what he does is non-violent helping, but he can hold his own in a fight.

-Bruce eats a lot more ice cream.

-Bruce's playlist shuffle now has MCR and the The Fox What Does the Fox Say and Baby Shark.

EXPERIENCE  /  HOW  LONG  (  MONTHS  /  YEARS? ) :  Pretty sure I started roleplaying at the age of 10 on a Zelda fansite's Java-coded chatroom built to mimic IRC, eventually moved onto AOL chatrooms, then AIM one-on-ones and chatrooms, then Yahoo Messenger one-on-ones until some weird parasocial drama made me abandon RP at the age of 15-16 until 2011 (age 20) or so when I got convinced to get back into it by a former friend by making a Tumblr. Got ghosted at every turn for a couple of months straight before giving up. Got convinced to come back a year or less later in 2012 and I've been here ever since.

BEST  EXPERIENCE : Honestly, those who have stuck with me the longest. Shay and eventually even Zero have been lights in the darkness for me and make me glad I've stuck it out this long, Scythe (despite no longer being on Tumblr) is someone I thought I got off on the wrong foot with when we first started interacting a while back and now he's one of my best buds even if we don't RP, I remain grateful Faty still puts up with me and is willing to engage with me, and Eli surprises me that I'm still able to find diamonds in the rough that is Tumblr.

RP  PET  PEEVES  /  DEALBREAKERS : Couple of things I think I've developed over time that have become definite dealbreakers to me: For starters is when someone is clearly more interested in talking about their muses rather than actually... Writing their muses. It's fine to have your headcanons, it's fine to have your wishlists, it's fine to want to develop your character and come up with new ideas for them, but when you sit there and parade around your character as being this, that, and the other, and "Oh, when will people do (x) with my character??" ESPECIALLY and PARTICULARLY when you have someone who is actively trying to give you everything you're asking for and then some? I'm sorry, but there's no other reasonable way to interpret that other than a lack of interest. Like, you're free to explore your options, certainly, but at least TRY to give what you're getting back. Nothing's more disheartening than investing so much enthusiasm and effort into developing something only to end up constantly sidelined and disregarded. I'll admit I'm thinking of one very specific, recent example as I speak on this since that case was particularly egregious in that department, but it is something I've run into numerous times even on here as well to varying degrees.

Secondly, and as a general rule, I don't like it when someone is too pushy with a ship when your characters aren't exactly compatible. Now keep in mind this is coming from me who, even though I extol the virtues of discernment and discretion when it comes to shipping myself, I just as easily fall into shipping at the same rate if I feel like there's some potential there or you can make me see that potential. But when the spark just isn't there and we haven't remotely established anything at all, and you're constantly throwing your character at mine to hang off of mine and basically "strongarm" affection out of a muse who's going to try to be lenient about it at first, but eventually ends up repeatedly putting their foot down with the shenanigans only for it to keep happening? That's not "cute" or endearing and you're doing the polar opposite of "wearing them down". "No means no" is applicable to more than just one scenario. Again, a very specific, other recent example comes to mind as I write this, but it's also something I've run into numerous times in general as well.

MUSE  PREFERENCES  FLUFF,   ANGST  OR  SMUT : I like it all, although I have significantly less confidence in my smut and I'm really only keeping that material contained to private places with highly specific individuals at this point instead of really playing it out on here, which is how I think I'll continue to handle that matter from now on.

PLOTS  OR  MEMES :  Yes. I've always been more of an improvisational writer so memes have been more my speed when it comes to icebreakers and character development, but I'm trying to open myself up more to plotting and applying that "improv" style to that, so please feel free to hit me up if you have anything in mind and we can work on fleshing it out. Just be aware that I might sometimes be the type to give short answers if I'm totally on board with something and I can't really see any further input to give of my own. That's not because I'm not interested. It's because my interest has shifted more towards "Alright, let's start writing this out!" and not at all "Yeah cool whatever".

LONG  OR  SHORT  REPLIES :  I do all styles. Short replies, long replies. I try to give what I get within reason.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : Whenever. I will get to anything when I have the appropriate time (which is most of the time) and the drive to write (which has been a bit higher lately, hence why I've been staying on top of things).

ARE  YOU  LIKE  YOUR  MUSE(S) :  I mean, in some ways, I put a little of myself into everything I write, so yes and no. But at the end of the day, I am not my characters and my characters are not 1:1 representations of myself.

actually I'm going to tell you all about my cat, BoiBoi, Big Boy, Fat Cat, BooBoo, Mini-Panther etc.

he would argue with me over petting, you think he'd demand I pet him, but he would actually try to pin my hands down so he could lick me instead

he licked a lot. obsessively. it was his favorite way to show affection.

because of this, we also called him "puppy cat". I know know that dogs don't even lick as much as he did.

he had a very soft tongue for a cat, and he it would still lick me 'till it hurt and insist on continuing.

he hated hugs, but would tolerated them for me. after a sad day I would always look forward to hugging him.

I only pet his belly once. he purred and dosed off in a trance, he never let me do it again.

he was BIG, 13 pounds. BUT! he somehow wasn't fat, even though most of his life we assumed he was. the vet said he was just naturally large.

I had to heave and lift with my knees to hold him. I miss this feeling. I want another lug to hold.

he was borderline mute as a kitten. his voice was really raspy and it sounded like it hurt to talk.

his voice got better as he aged, but was always a little deep and raspy.

he learned that we pitied his raspy voice, and would make it extra raspy to whine.

he never invented a meow or sound, all his noises were learned from his sister.

his sister was very vocal and invented most of the vocabulary our house cats use today. "MAW-MAWAROW-MAWWOOOOH" is her signature whine. his favorite was a quieter "maw? maw-woh?"

he was afraid of everything and had a ridiculous stare that made him look constantly SHOCKED O__O

he had an amazing hunting-cackle, a true "kekekekekek". when I heard my next cat whine instead of cackling I was very disappointed.

he would loudly lick himself for hours straight at night.

he would hide in Jedi-Kat's closet when he needed peace. we would only know of this from hearing him snore.

his snore was little doots "*inhale* boooo~ *inhale* boooo~"

I don't remember what his purr sounded like, but I know it was deep an loud. I would imitate it by saying "perrrRRRRRperrrRRRRR".

his fangs stuck out from under his mouth just a bit. it added to his goofy vibe.

he had a faint white patch on his chest, and he had faint white socks as a kitten.

I was his all-time favorite. second in like where Kat and my Mom.

if I left the house, and only when I left the house, he would paw at the glass door until I came in.

he would never look at me while he did this.

we once threw snowballs at the door, and he would bap at the glass as they slid down.

he would ask to come up to my bed

he cuddled me 80% nights.

he loved to kneed a large stuffed dog I had, I still keep it around. I would joke that it was his girlfriend.

when I went away on a trip for a week, I came back to find a rough square of built up cat hair on my bed. he had slept by my pillow waiting for me every night for a week.

his favorite treat was whipped-cream.

he chewed plastic like gum, we started to call it "crinkly" because of it.

he lived for 4 years. those years were very hard for me and I am thankful he was always there in that time.

I love my current cat's just as much, but not in the same way. I'll tell you more about them someday.

Ranking the elden ring legacy dungeons from worst to best, 1/3

There's 21 of these assholes, so If I do 7 at a time, I can do 3 posts. This'll be long as fuck, so buckle up.

21: Miquella's Haligtree. ...FUCK! I hate this area quite a big. Tons of tree branches with those envoy guys to doot you, ants to knock you off, and tricky parkour. Oh yeah, and scarlet rot landmines. Once you get through that, the risk of falling is somewhat abated, but there's a ton of misbeggoten and mushroom dudes. I... I don't get it. And then the run to the shortcut is filled with mushrooms again, snails calling crystal mages, and battlemages. Only good part of this is the boss.

20: Subterranean Shunning Grounds. I probably hate this place more than Haligtree, I just go down here less. Because it's shit. Running around pipes isn't fun, imps aren't fun, the tunnel maze isn't fun, revenants aren't fun, lobsters aren't fun, omens aren't fun, this place is shit! Nothing worth going down here for, especially not 1 ending.

19: Caria manor. Okay, okay, fuck those hands. They're annoying, fast, jumpy, and only easy to put down with fire. Rest of the area excels at being foggy as hell and hard to see through. The upper areas are boring. The only reason this is above Haligtree is because there's no scarlet rot. Anyway, next

18: Elphael, brace of the Haligtree. It's like if anor Londo and Blighttown had a baby. Filled with knights, cleanrot, rotten crystal dudes, several erdtree avatars, and enough Kindred of rot to make me angry. Not to mention the scarlet pools around, and the ability to get knocked off constantly. And the runs between sites of grace is too much. And, don't forget, fuck the boss.

17: lake of rot. Just stop with the rot. At least you can run straight through it, and it gives you a cure rot item. But that doesn't change the fact it's uninspired, lame, and just a straight path. With basilisks and Kindred, woo

16: siofra river. The actual area is kinda unremarkable, the enemies are straight shit, though. The archers that'll shoot you halfway across the map perfectly, crabs, and the sentient lightning that'll kill you no matter what level you are. And you have to experience all of that to run around and fight Mr dead deer. Fuck me, man

complaining about a mobile game under the cut

helios frustrates me sometimes (often) because it has a lot of interesting character beats but it often reveals these in a way that does a major disservice to the characters-as-I-read-them and makes me genuinely wonder if the writers even realized what the emergent result is from all the shit they shoved into the story. I was going to say "narrative" and not story there but sometimes its hard for me to read helios as a holistic narrative because it constantly seems to read as a series of random unconnected events that dont have an overarching theme or plot except maybe sometimes basic things like "teamwork is good". I feel very "along for the ride" with helios rather than a reader who is engaging with a narrative, taking part in a conversation. idk how intentional any of the writing is. it often makes it actively harder for me to enjoy the experience because im spending my time trying to piece together things that just dont feel holistic to me at all. i dont know if a story is well-written if sitting down and writing down all of what you know about a character's history in chronological order gives you a wildly, wildly different idea of who that character is than the story-as-written does. or maybe it is. maybe that's on purpose. I don't know! I genuinely don't know! The way it's written makes it difficult to tell how intentional any of it is and makes you wonder if your reading is outright wrong and not what the authors intended. and that not knowing frustrates me, because I want reading to feel like a conversation with a text, not something that I construct in my head in spite of the text. not when ive spent the past two years immersed in narratives that are clearly, obviously, full of that intentionality and are inviting you to engage with multidimensional characters who have concrete themes and arcs that unfold from a solid starting point, from a very clear nucleus of a character that never changes. I once heard someone say that mhyk/i7 rarely reveal wholly new things to you, they just present more facets of things that you could've already guessed. well helios constantly seems to reveal new things that barely fit into what was there previously and that forces you to readjust your entire concept of a character. there is no overarching theme for a character that brings them together as an entity. they're presented as a collection of traits and the character is emergent. exact opposite of the stories ive been obsessed with for the past two years. less of an unfolding and more of a corkboard that new things are getting tacked onto. not necessarily a bad way to tell a story just a very different one. its difficult to adjust. which is ironic given that this is also how hypmic was presented, and I spent the two years prior obsessed with that. a lot of the ways im processing helios do feel very familiar in spite of how frustrated they make me. at least its better than enstars

the other frustrating thing about this is that i cant really talk about helios with my friend who got me into it because when its presented in this way im really, really, really slow to process how I feel about whats going on, but she loves helios and would love to talk about it with me. but I just don't have anything to say except confused noises until I can actually sit down and think about things on my own, either thru writing fic or just by writing rambly meta :( sorry doot we can talk about helios in a month when my brain has tied it together into a nice bow. or like three months given the pace we're reading the story at

Doom WADs’ Roulette (2002): 2002 A Doom Odyssey - Part 3

Nice job, mate!

You killed the Cyberdemon at the end of Total Disturbance. Now it’s time to go further and kill more demonic shit after a freshly revealed teleporter that was hidden in one of the marble columns.

That’s how much you gonna get for why you are in this episode because the WAD’s plot feels pretty pretentious, un-self aware and kind of filled with purple prose if you ask me.

EPISODE 3: The Evil Unleashed

We already know how the second episode was starting to be better and more insane with the WAD’s visuals. This episode goes even further beyond that. It looks even better than the first half of Odyssey. Insanely looking maps that (most of the time) offer something different. Truly a hellish spectacle for your eyes.

The music is also (almost) the best one in the entire WAD. The track from De-Moon Side quickly became my favorite track to listen to, followed by the one from System Central.

The only track I didn’t like, unfortunately, is from Obituary Written. Not because it’s bad, far from it, but because it has a moment where it has a jumpscary DOOT/cat-piano-banging played twice in a short amount of time. And I’m not gonna play with this shit listening to my ears.

Like the previous episodes, this one is, again, rather easy to understand where to go. And like the previous ones, it only had at worst, a few moments where I was stuck for a longer time than usual.

I’m sorry that I’m starting to repeat myself, but I feel like it’s like this for a whole MegaWAD.

The Lost Chord, the secret level of this episode, can be a little mind fucking since before getting the key to finish it, you might think you are going backwards when in reality you go further.

De-Moon Side might be about reaching the top of the tower of Babel (as I like to call the building with the colored doors).

Unfortunately, there is also some bullshit going on. Like Obituary Written constantly forcing you to go through long cases of damaging floors on a map that doesn’t even have Rad Suits (not even in secrets). Also, the creator of this map should get a reprimand for one teleporter teleporting directly to the square filled with slime.

De-Moon Side and Spider Temple have cases of painful backtracking (the former one with the two smaller buildings at the start, and the latter one making you go slightly forward before forcing you to go back to get another key).

System Central has this tedious moment where you have to go through a series of corridors to reach the switch that will let you get the blue key, and while the corridors are becoming shorter with each one, it’s the lifts that will make you want to shove a shovel up your arse.

At least I don’t have to deal with broken secret exits like with the previous episode.

As expected, this episode is harder than the first half of the WAD. There are now actual moments where it can get legitimately hard. The ending of Stronghold of Damnation with the well full of seemingly endless waves of Cacos is one of the things to come to mind, alongside the beginning of De-Moon Side if you don’t actively secret hunt.

If you know where the secrets are, it won’t be really as hard as you thought at first.

Like with the previous episodes, The Evil Unleashed has some cheap difficulty spikes, but this time I feel like these were the most severe ones. I got somewhat used to hitscanner traps what can you say about being trapped in a small room with the Cyberdemon? Noooo, that doesn’t feel cheap at all! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

Slightly changing the subject here, but I feel like people who helped Paul with this WAD did better maps than he did, and he did most of these. Don’t want to favor other creators over one of them, I just feel like it.

And that’s basically all I have to say about The Evil Unleashed. Despite still having problems that haunt the other two episodes, this one progresses in an organic way, AKA it gets prettier and harder as you go further into it.

Only one episode left before we say goodbye to this MegaWAD. Will it continue the tradition of being prettier and harder than the previous ones? We will have to see.

Dawn immediately starts worrying about you, but she stays calm for your sake, rushing to your aid and prioritising your safety above anything. She’ll try to tend to your wounds, reassuring you that you’re going to be okay, and she hates seeing you in pain, no matter how big or small. She’ll hold you, clinging to you and trying to protect you, and she’d insist on calling off the mission in order to get you out of the situation and somewhere safe. 

— DICK GRAYSON

Dick immediately begins to feel guilty, blaming himself for not having your back and protecting you better. He’d be quick to assess you wounds, trying to judge how bad the situation is, before he’d instruct the team to protect you, to get you somewhere safe. He’ll want to finish the mission, and he also does’t want to let the person who hurt you get away. Afterwards, he’d apologise, insisting that he’ll do better next time and won’t let it happen again.

— DONNA TROY

Donna finds herself freezing, suddenly unsure of what to do. It’ll only last a brief moment before she lurches back into action, being sure to thwart off any of your opponents that are still lingering before attending to you. She’d chastise you for not being careful, but she’d also be frustrated with herself. She’d want to patch up your wounds to make sure you’re fully okay, all while shaking her head at how the mission shouldn’t have gone wrong. 

— GARFIELD LOGAN

Gar would start panicking, worrying about your safety and wellbeing. He would feel like the world is spinning, and the only thing he can barely focus on is you. He’d drop everything to make sure you’re okay, desperately asking the others for help to get you to safety. He’d refuse to leave your side, wanting to be with you every step of the way. He’d feel overwhelming guilt, worrying that it’s his fault that you got hurt, even if you reassured him it wasn’t his fault.

— JASON TODD

Jason would be infuriated, immediately going into fight mode to take down whoever hurt you. He wouldn’t stop until he felt like any threats were eliminated, to the point where Dick or one of the other Titans might need to stop him. Jason would also feel simultaneously upset that you got hurt while with him, although he would take it out on everyone else. But Jason would swear to himself he’d never let you get hurt again.

— KORIAND’R

Kory would be upset, but like Dawn, she would keep her composure long enough to fight off your opponents and get you to safety. She might let her emotions get the best of her during the fight, but she would be pretty good at staying under control, but she would be constantly plagued by the worry of you being in danger. Once she gets you to safety, she’d become protective of you, tending to your wounds and taking care of you the best she can.
