How Do You Do, Fellow Humans?

Now, Fright Knight is a very experienced ghost. He's served millennia, gone through the whole ordeal that was Pariah Dark, tolerated the Observants, and generally has a large area of competence.

But perhaps he should expand his skillset.

As he was guarding an outing of the Royal family, his Queen had inquired of his pastimes. He had answered with his duties.

"I mean, you should definitely get out some more, dude. Chill a bit. Not in the Far Frozen sense."

The Princess had agreed, saying that traveling would be quite the eye opening experience for him

His Queen assured him that the royal family could suffice without his presence "for a year or two, just make sure to visit."

So the Knight of Autumn sets out to find a mortal settlement that will work. He comes across Gotham City and its respective city spirit, Lady Gotham. She graciously invites him in, and he vows to remember her contribution. She merely gives an amused smile.

Within Gotham City, Fright Knight comes across a mortal woman controlling plant life, and even if subconsciously, follows her due to the familiarity to another ghost the Queen had "known."

She has a rendezvous with another mortal woman, and they go inside a house/haunt that radiates their love. Fright Knight stands outside of it for a week straight, attempting to deduce a way for him to meet them.

Harley, on the other hand, had just opened the door at like, 2:48 in the morning and her hyenas shoot straight out the door and around the house, barking. They jump around the legs of- a giant suit of armor? Really? Just staring at the wall, is it?

Gotham, truly, is delightful.

DPxDC AU: Ellie was going to beat the shit out of this space cop if he was lying…she might just do it anyway but, like, fr she’ll throw down on Danny’s behalf.

Enter scene following a bad tandem clone + identity reveal where in Danny is captured and wounded, Ellie escaping just narrowly. She manages to get Sam and Tucker on her side and together the three of them save Danny. (Where was Jazz? Why couldn’t she find Jazz?)

Ellie has traveled all over the world, has seen its hospitality just as much as its hostility- besides Danny liked space right? Mostly, Ellie is panicking and, being unable to think of a place to take Danny while he’s bleeding out on her, she just goes… up. Out of the atmosphere and just beyond the satellites. It finally feels far enough away, tho she didn’t take them beyond the moon, she has limits to her paranoia thank you.

Imagine to her annoyance that apparently someone actually watches for biological materials leaving and re-entering the earth! Total Bullshit! She’s needed to make a number of trips back and forth to get Danny food and water and medical supplies- and she’s doing a damn good job of getting him stable. Too bad she hadn’t realized the ring guy following her sooner.

Turns out he’s “made a report” and “will find them justice” and “wants to help”. Yeah right. She throws down with him as best she can, and he clearly doesn’t want to hurt her so he keeps letting her get away with Danny in tow. Danny is sleeping through most of this but a few times he lets out a woop or a go get ‘em.

Eventually Hal calls the only person on the team with a single paternal bone in his body (even if it was only a single one most days). Pulling Batman into a spacesuit, into a ship and across the atmosphere shouldn’t have been that easy- though it was obvious how his agreement came immediately after Hal mentioned the wounded and entirely isolated twins he’d found.

shopping at ikea w satoru would be so unimaginably fun and silly …

i can already picture him having way too much fun in the showrooms, sitting on a sofa and asking you to pass the remote, smiling when you grab him by the sleeve, apologizing to the family who were looking at the coffee table he had his feet on.

the two of you would spend way too much time in the living room area, deciding on what pieces you’d put where, staring at each other when you realized neither of you took any measurements prior to leaving home.

he’s posing in the showers, covering himself in the curtain and gasping when you look at him, “where’s the privacy in my own home?!”

he absolutely loves asking you which kitchen you’d pick, noting all your different answers and taking pictures of the things you would say you liked.

satoru would try and lay on every bed, whispering to you that the bedframe would break within hours of being constructed, making your eyes widen as you smack his chest, trying to ignore the flips your stomach was doing.

he’d try and talk you into buying everything, especially the things he was convinced he needed.

“sweetheart look! aren’t these mugs so nice? i think we should take them” already placing a pack in the cart, you immediately place them back on the shelf.

“satoru we have more than enough mugs, we had to give some to shoko because we had nowhere to put them!” he knows your right, but even so he pouts at you a bit, looking at you with wide eyes and you sigh. he’s got you.

you don’t say anything as you grab the same pack and put it in the cart silently, ignoring satoru was he giggles behind you.

he would definitely buy one of the plushies they sell, immediately falling in love with how absolutely floppy they look (he comes home with three).

the two of you stop and get some swedish meatballs before going into the actual shopping part, finally getting everything and then some, walking out with a full cart that you never intended to fill.

you realize on crucial thing as you and satoru place the items in the living room, looking around for where to put newly acquired trinkets.

satoru turns to you, and you turn to him, both of you blinking twice before smiling and speaking at the same time;

“we forgot the fucking shelves”

The fact that all Gwen knows about her variants in other universes is that they're dead is so sad. Like imagine you want to know what happens to you in other dimensions and it turns out that wherever you look you mean nothing, you're so unimportant that there's no bigger role for you other than dying.

And I've seen you guys pointing this out, where she's looking at what looks like her own death and even if it's not this is not just a "love interest" Gwen, this is a superhero who is supposed to mean something, but she doesn't. She's only here to die. And so far this (our) Gwen doesn't have any reason to believe that she won't die very soon just like other Gwens.

I think that one of the main reasons why she's rejecting Miles is not just her trauma and all shit she's been through and the fear of dying like other Gwens when they're involved with Spider-Man, but also because if they start something and she dies this will hurt him too.

It's easy to say "canon events aren't true she shouldn't believe in that" but this isn't just a regular risk, this is her life we're talking about.
