The usamerican and their country necessitates idealism and individualism as part of their ideology and mythology because there is absolutely no way to defend usamerica in any materialist lense that doesn't rely on the Atlas level crux of the American Ideal and what it's "supposed to be" and its constitution's supposed intention and values. Idealism and individualism allows it to ignore it's utter contradicitions as early and blatant as it's "founding fathers" espousing about the equality of humanity while owning black slaves, genociding indigenous people, and as bourgeois men even look down upon the lower class masses of white men (there's much earlier examples but still). It's notable that whenever the usamerican liberal tries to defend usamerica and its people, it's often something along the lines of black people fighting for their human rights against the white supremacist usamerican government as well as white people (and I'm not just talking about southerners and klansmen) and their fight against a white supremacist country being warped into a great moment in usamerican history on the side of the usamerican ideal rather than a continuation of black struggles since the 1500s against the white people and its white supremacist government. It NEEDS idealism. It NEEDS individualism. The usamerican psyche and horseshit exceptionalism especially amongst whites cannot survive without them.

This question is a bit strange, but I hope to receive an answer from you. we are god, everything is under our control and power, and what we are experiencing is a dream. death is also an illusion, because our consciousness never dies. in our vision of things, we have a limited lifespan (we live on average 80 years) can we change things? Can we live an experience where the body never ages and we never die like an "immortal" life? or does our soul have contracts? Does he necessarily have to experience death? I'm very scared of reincarnation because I don't want to forget the people I care about, the things I like, but also my ideas and my life experiences. many people who believe in reincarnation say that we must forget in order to have other experiences and evolve, there are also cases of people who remember their past life. but if all life is a dream, an illusion, is it possible that I am manifesting people who believe and have memories of their past lives? We all know the infamous "Sonic lets Metal Sonic go" moment from IDW Sonic that kickstarts the entire arc just because Sonic is made a dunce for this one issue, right?

Well, I've uncovered something that's going to make this moment look even MORE idiotic than it currently is.

So, Flynn here says that, and I quote, "Metal Sonic is fairly… single-minded in a lot of his computations, I guess? Yeah, he kind of lives for orders, and… doesn't think too far outside the box in most occasions."

This, coupled with the fact that Flynn himself wrote Neo Metal Sonic saying Eggman has "removed the rebelliousness from his coding" in #7...

...results in Flynn literally contradiciting his own writing and raises a single question: why did Flynn write Sonic letting Metal Sonic off under the assumption the the former would be able to choose a new life path for himself even though Flynn himself knows that it wouldn't be the case?

I understand that the answer to that question would be "because he writes the characters around the plot instead of the other way around", but then that would raise another question: why couldn't Starline simply teleport to Metal Sonic's last known location and kidnap Metal? That would be a much better way for Starline to gain Metal Sonic instead of the latter just magically stumbling into the former's base!

okay friends i think the problem is me that sometimes i really do need to stay off tumblr but i also find comfort in tumblr so its like. ???. i go from posting a "hi i might be a lil inactive!" to being very active (or like. i feel like i am but then when i see what i rb'd its only like 3-5 posts) so i kinda wanna just be able to remove myself from tumblr whenever i need but i also feel the need to like explain myself and i know i'm not owing anyone fics etc etc but chbdsjcds too many thoughts rn

just saying but aziraphale is actually really masc, by the standards of the inward century he lives in. he's NOT femme.

his manicure is about being Neat and Tidy and Well-Kept, which is masculinity personified in most time periods. he wears fine, layered clothing, he keeps snuff boxes, he reads extensively, he knows about wine, etc. even wearing LACE.

these AREN'T feminine things, in his mind. the idea that these things are all feminine is... relatively new.

also a manicure means like. he has his nails trimmed, and then he has them buffed and polished. it means they look very pink and shiny with a finely white edge.

I'm sure he has a bit of nail polish once in a blue moon, especially for a special occasion, but a manicure does not necessarily include painting the nails.

I would simply like to say that I love your blog about the Three Musketeers! Thank you for all your delicious posts! You have a great sense of humour. I've always been fascinated by some Dumas' novels! I love "The Vicomte de Bragelonne" the most of The D'Artagnan Romances set. The book is the most interesting and complex but the main reason for that is Aramis. He is so mesmerizing as the sneaky bishop of Vannes! Truly a mess of contradicitions. I'm aware that he is the Musketeer who you like the least. ;) Athos was great in the first novel but he became so irritatingly perfect in the sequels. In "The Three Musketeers" I perceived D'Artagnan as an annoying little brat. Fortunately, he was more mature and really intelligent in the sequels. I admire word duels between Aramis & D'Artagnan in "Twenty years after" and "The Vicomte de Bragelonne". :) And Porthos was... Porthos. ;) A nice and extremely loyal guy, nothing of sneakiness. ;) I'm also amazed that you know so many languages: English, French, Japanese, Greek. These are only my suppositions based on your blog. My language skills are not as impressive as yours but I admit that reading Dumas' books in French is wonderful.

I'm really glad you enjoyed my silly gifs 😊 Perhaps I'll revive the entire thing and I'll make more, who knows 😅 Aramis is indeed my least favorite, but he's the one that I made a mini comic about already, so his character has had his fair share of appreciation on my part 😛 I also agree with your views on the books and the characters.
