I’ll just say that the only off-putting convention interaction I’ve ever had at a con was with Mr. Collins, and I don’t ship ~that~ and we didn’t even talk about much of anything. He didn’t look at me, asked me what my shirt was (it was a Josh Ritter “Temptation of Adam” shirt), then proceeded to check all the way out during my answer and it wasn’t bad or necessarily rude, just jarring, and so very different from the interactions I’ve had with other guests. This was at ChiCon in 2011, and the interaction I’d had with him in 2009 at VanCon was very pleasant, so it felt strange. I honestly can’t imagine what it must be like to go to cons now; these men are probably so fucking tired of this shit. Where Jensen has gotten better at cons as the years have gone on (holy smokes, Asylum 1 we were all dying of awkwardness), I’ve watched Misha grow consistently worse. 

Richard Speight, Jim Beaver, AJ Buckley, Travis Wester, and Aldis Hodge were the best interactions I’ve had, in case you’re wondering. The stuff with J2 always goes by so fast, and my main goal in life is to not be in anybody’s way at any time, so I can barely manage to say hi. Asylum 3, the first UK convention Jared was able to attend, was very poorly mismanaged, and the organizers were extremely strict about photo ops and militant towards those of us waiting that we were Not to touch the actors, and to get out of there as quickly as possible. For someone with pretty intense social anxiety, meeting someone for whom I had a lot of admiration for the first time in such a circumstance was very stressful. I was the first of our group to get my photo done with Jared; he was seated and we were to stand next to him and Not Touch Him. I think we said, hi, we took the pic, and I booked it. My friends behind me in line told me later that he kind of stared after me looking a little upset, and this haunts me. The only thing that soothes me is that during autos, they had Jared & Misha seated across the ballroom from one another, and Misha threw a piece of gum to Jared across the space right as I reached Jared’s table, prompting Jared to yell back “Did you lick it? Is it dirty?!” before popping it into his mouth, turning to me with a giant smile and saying “Sorry.” Bless.

Anyway, I haven’t been to a con since 2011, and I thought about going to one at the end of the show to bookmark that period in my life, but lollllllllllll I don’t have that kind of money (seriously, those of you who go to multiple cons a year and get MULTIPLE PHOTO OPs???? WHERE is this $$$$$ coming from???? We were bitching when silver tickets cost us $365. You fascinate me.) and I don’t think I could deal with the second-hand embarrassment of sitting through panels again. I can’t even watch the youtube videos. 

I think Jared doing this RI con is a very interesting development, because maybe they’ll start doing non-CE cons in different parts of the country and they’ll come back my way some day so I can tell them how much their work meant/means to me without having to fork over 2 months salary to do so.

The nuns taught her housekeeping which literally meaning chores and other houseworks. But thinking about her childhood, I think this class would be one of the most hard classes for her, bring back the bad memories of that horrible inn. What would you think about this?

Did I ever tell you about the time I had my pic taken with Catherine Tate and Alex Kingston? GalaxyCon 2019 in Minneapolis. I originally went with my spouse (who has been cropped out for privacy), because David was going to be there too. He had to cancel for very good reasons, though he did Zoom in for his Q&A panel (which I also missed because we had to be home early).

Anyway, I went ahead and changed my photo session with David to one with Catherine and Alex, and even though these things only take milliseconds tops, it was one of the best photos I've had with a celebrity. Like, no one told Alex to do that with my tie. And Catherine's Q&A later was the best one I've ever attended.

i really liked the ending of the buddy daddies anime, i think it fits the story and what annoys me now are people who are trashing this ending because of that line about kazuki meeting with a girl and that he's not gay for rei, well they were never said to be gay it's just a headcanon. not dating doesn't equal not caring about each other, romantic love is not a necessity and a qpr is not inferior to a romantic relationship. they were shown to be a real happy family in the end, that's what is important here

One time i was at a convention and got absolutely wasted and separated from my bf. The alcohol went through my system pretty quick and i had to pee soooo bad but i couldnt find my way to the bathroom because i was a small lady and couldnt find the signs. So i did what any 5’ft woman would do and i literally grabbed the largest guy near me and was like “hey help me find the potty big guy” and he fucking did with no problem!

HE Waited for me to come back out and make sure i was fine!

Walked me back to where we had been and made me sit with him until my bf found me because he wanted to make sure i was safe!

Like half an hour later my bf finds me and I’m chillin with FLASH GORDON AT HIS SIGNING BOOTH!

I GOT SHIT FACED AND MADE FLASH GORDON LEAVE HIS SIGNING TABLE TO TAKE ME POTTY! AND HE WENT WITH IT AND WOULDN’T LET ME LEAVE UNTIL HE KNEW I WAS SAFE! A REAL FUCKING HERO!

Idk man it like my favorite memory from my college years and i highly respect the dude now.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over what happened to Yuri on ice like !!

I remember being in high school and running home every week to watch the new episodes, I remember the tumblr meltdown when they kissed and how much it meant to me as a queer teen struggling with my sexuality, to see their relationship so openly and casually out there and treated with the same respect as any other relationship. And the pair skate at the end of the season? My friends and I all cried watching it! Yuri on ice is one of those shows that always feels like coming home no matter what other hyperfixation comes around, idk the story and the characters are so special to me and I’m so upset that the entire franchise has been tossed aside despite its popularity. I’m really just going through it today yall

REGARDING J2+Baby:

Absolutely mindblowing experience. I don't like being in photos and this is no exception, butttt I will always treasure the moment. My OP partner and I had discussed some complex ideas which in retrospect seem pretty silly since they hurried you through line far too rapidly for any involved posing. My OP partner rushed to embrace Jensen and Jared, being considerate/going with the flow, began pulling me into a similar hold. I informed him I don't like physical contact, and he recOILED like a kicked puppy ; you can see his one arm still drawn back. I told him we cOULD thumb wrestle, tho and suddenly, we were mortal enemies, bwaha. He absolutely let me win, ok. It happened so fast, I hardly had the chance to look at Jensen or Baby ( though I did other times luckily! ) and pHEW, that was it: I really met the three leads of Supernatural, yo.

REGARDING David Haydn-Jones:

So. That is not us posing with David nor Arthur Ketch --this is Randy Ketch! his second cousin who's part of the Canadian Men of Letters. Sketches from a mix between last year and yesterday about Modern AU Fleur and her anime phase as a tween.

These are fun times in her life but also a time that she wants to keep hidden because she was a pretty cringey young lass. And believe me I have a few cringey scenarios for her lol

Both Maeve and Bhihaar alternated between accompanying Fleur since she was too young to attend a convention by herself. Maeve gets into it and dresses up with Fleur. The first piece of them is them both cosplaying Sailor Jupiter, the second is the two of them cosplaying Sakura and her mom from, “Naruto.” I feel like cosplaying for tween Fleur was one of her confidence boosters and adult Fleur has to thank her anime phase for that lol

Bhihaar is that confused parent about the anime lingo/terminology but is happy to see Fleur happy and confident amongst her fellow weebs. The last image of them is a bit hard to read but Fleur bought a figure and Bhihaar said it would be a good idea to get a bag. The only bag available is one promoting an Otome Romance game- he offered to hold it in Fleur’s stead.

And yes, tween Fleur played Otome romance games but the ones that were appropriate for her age group. Idk if that’s something, I’ve vaguely going off an old innocent flash dating sims from y8.com and this other zombie apocalypse one that was a mobile game. An innocent one because I know some dating sims can be suggestive.

The last sketch is Fleur realizing she’s gonna have to face her tween past with Razer and prepare for the laughs he will make lol

I had to include the last sketch because I know Fleur would have the best reaction to Razer catching a glimpse of a scrapbook she forgot to hide much better 😆
