For Mermay I’m going to attempt to draw fnaf Sun and Moon as random fish every few days.
I found a random fish generator that’s going to give me the fish I’ll use.
(All of these are going to be low energy drawing so I don’t burn myself out)
((I’ll try to do one every day but that probably won’t happen))
Day 1 :
Sun as a scorpion fish and Moon as a California corbina
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Too Lazy to draw hands or add textures but I think these turned out pretty good.

Took A Peek.
I believe this will be my 23/24th year sight fishing for Corbina.
Today although I did not bring a fly rod it was my first real look at some skinny water.
I surfed at a well known spot to fish the skinny. I spooked one Bean and there were a fair amount of rays scuttling about so start shuffling those feet.
This morning brought six guys out with fly rods in their hands hoping to connect to a Frijole.
The tide was right and certainly some fishable structure but they are not gliding or wagging their tails yet.
Pic, funny because this was at a time when I had one of the disposable film cameras and I would snap a pic every now and again if I had a notable catch. The camera would sit around in my bag sometimes for quite a while till I had enough images to go have the film processed. We have come a long way from those days.
I still remember chasing this fish on this flat in North county SD.
This spot still exists and it’s a great place to sight fish.
I’m sure I’ll stumble upon a day when it’s time to bring the fly rod along. For myself it’s not that time but I’ll keep a eye out. 😎

California Adventure
Are you prepared to embark on some of the top sport fishing excursions in California? Whether you've had the opportunity to catch a monster fish or not, California has a lot to offer. The entire state offers deep sea and charter fishing in several locations that most people wouldn't even consider visiting. You could be prepared to reserve your next fishing holiday by the time you've finished reading this article. To know more about Adventure Sports Journal, visit our website today.
Leading A Life
Making a destination decision is the most difficult part of sport fishing in California. There are many different places to go and fishing spots all across the ocean. Knowing what you want to fish for before you go is the best course of action. Of course, the next step is to choose between a deep-sea fishing excursion and a typical charter where there are plenty of fish.
Private and group charters are available to catch different types of Salmon, Rock Cod, and Albacore Tuna in locations including the San Francisco Bay. Despite the fact that the trip is focused on sport fishing, the scenery is amazing as well. You may occasionally witness some of the most incredible whale and bird adventures ever. So make sure to bring your camera with you.
Southern California offers the chance to enjoy some sport fishing along the coast for those of you who enjoy fly fishing. Surf fishing is a blast in the San Diego and Mission Bay area if you enjoy eating what you catch. Some of the biggest Halibut the area has to offer can be found in the spring. The Corbina, which many fishermen compare to the Texas Redfish, is the preferred fish in this area.
Sport fishing in California isn't complete unless you explore some of the northern regions. Within Shelter Cove, the "Lost Coast" unquestionably fulfils the angler's fantasy. The fish have had years to hide beneath the waters since the location is largely isolated. You're left to pursue huge Black Rockfish and Stripers everywhere.
How to Proceed
In California, wherever you go will likely provide you with an unforgettable experience. If you travel to one area, put the other two on your to-do list because each of the three regions—Northern, Southern, and Central—has something special to offer. Sport fishing in California will not only be fun, but it will also leave you with a lot of memories to cherish for years to come. Want to read more about California Adventure? August 28, 2022
Early Sunday afternoon as of time of this writing. 1:20 p.m. to be exact. It’s been another rather “chill” weekend, which i’ve enjoyed. i’ve checked off most of the things on today’s “to do list,” and this is one of the last items. to be fair, many of the items were rather simple tasks, each lasting typically less than ten minute, but it still feels nice to check them off.
some of the items: take meds. make bed. wash dishes. journal. shower. vacuum. scrub toilet, etc. this week i was actually able to do some really productive and competent work. i felt like i had good amounts of sleep/rest during the night and motivation/caffeine during the day, and was able to kind of keep myself going at a pace that did not feel me with dread/anxiety/regret/hopelessness/futility of existence as i sometimes am prone to do. worked from home mostly on my usual days, with the addition of tuesday afternoon and all of thursday as a result of some very loud construction taking place directly below my window, and so got to clean more than usual, and so i sort of finished my chores earlier than usual as dishes had been regularly washed, laundry had already been done, etc. i’ve been texting L regularly and we’ve established what i think is a really good and healthy friendship. i’ve kidded a few times about pursuing her and she’s asked if she’d thought she’d been leading me on in any way and i had to admit that she hadn’t been (but i had been leading myself, a lamb to my own slaughter), but we’ve talked about all sorts of friend-ly things and exchanged ideas and dreams and hopes and podcast recommendations/etc. i listened to a science podcast she’d recommended only to find that the latest episode featured none other than high school bff jingmai o’connor, and she watched a youtube SBSK episode i had recommended and i bought a book/pamphlet she recommended and i’m HOPING she’s listening currently to a podcast i recommended which touched on a lot of things we’d discussed such as intuition and meditation and that i think she’d really enjoy.
i also went to the last Hidden Hearts night which took place last thursday and on Lo’s advice, went with the idea that i would not find the love of my life but that i should be rejected five times. i was rejected about three times, which was close enough, but having that mindset really reframed everything and i was able to take the rejection in stride because, well, heck, that’s what i was there for. i even hesitated to hang out with people who were welcoming and trying to bring me into their folds because i was there for rejection, not acceptance! but i should probably take it as a vague compliment that i found acceptance despite trying not to.
i got a few numbers for funsies. but only followed up with the prettiest girl who was also the meanest, turns out, and she hasn’t messaged me back lol.
so,  thursday: hidden hearts til about 10:30 a.m. friday: fishing in the am with my momma, where i caught the biggest corbina ever of my life, and then early dinner with lana in the pm, sushi in pasadena (her treat) saturday: slept in, then grace and maddie came over around 3 and swam til maybe about 6. i ordered ubereats (seasoning alley) and slept early. sunday: finished my leftovers, and then proceeded to do a bunch of aforementioned chores, and listened again to the Tim Ferris podcast featuring Hugh Jackman, which is one of my favorite podcast episodes, possibly ever, and even hearing it the third time was still fresh and illuminating.
so now it’s 1:30 p.m. and there’s still plenty of day left. things i might do: meditate. read. eat a pizookie with rhiannon. stretch/yoga. film a short youtube update video. swiffer the floors?
i’m feeling rather satisfied once more with my level of socialization as well as self-care. i’m liking the pace of my weekends lately. they don’t feel as sad, or as frenzied. hoping to keep this up. i do feel like i could use a bit more time for self reflection though, so maybe i can journal say, two times a week instead of the one.
one interesting observation i made in myself today was that i admire physical beauty above all. i worship physical beauty, and not finding it in myself, i worship it in others, i see it as the highest value, and i think that’s why i see myself as nothing. because despite being a decent, hair-above-average-human being in most respects, i see myself as being unattractive, and internalize any rejection of me as being a direct result of that.
i think, it is possible, that if i were to seek out inner beauty in others, and/or to value/prize human character/ethics/morals/etc in other people, then by the same measuring tool, i would actually have some merit, and feel better about myself. but i value such cheap, superficial things. i want to learn to make a more concerted effort in valuing things of actual value.
maybe i should try and list them now/here; generosity thoughtfulness respect for others cleanliness organization carrying through timeliness/punctuality listening directness

Nice size fish willing to play today. He was swimming “upstream” with the northbound current. Glowing in the morning light, I swung the fly just off his patch and he slid over and ate no hesitation. BOOM! Seems like the season is wide open just this week. Time to get your feet in the sand.

August Beans!
Starting off August with some fish to hand. Nice conditions, I paddled out first to catch a few waves before meeting a friend who was trying to get her first Corbina.
Tumblr media
Success, this was my second time fishing with her. I could tell after watching her she had what it takes. Earning her surf merit badge on a nicer fish.
Conditions were a little tough overall but sprinkled with some working fish and opportunities.
Tumblr media
July has been tough so let’s hope August can make up for it.
