tim called elias useless and a waste of a suit as an insult but somehow i feel like he would interpret that as a compliment. he would be like thank you tim that's exactly what i was going for :3
Jason Todd has never half-assed anything in his entire life, he puts 110% effort into absolutely everything he does, even the dumb or silly stuff, he goes all in, and he’s so committed to every bit. And he makes it look effortless
one other thing that really makes me roll my eyes in dc fics is the insistence that the bats can take down anyone, even their most op teammates. like... you guys know a character doesn't have to be the most physically capable one in the room in order to be interesting or strong in their own right, right? look me in the eye. cass had to save tim from shrike. bane broke bruce's back. mind-controlled kon snapped tim's arm like a twig. trying to make them ~always~ able to counter even the most powerful opponents is so boring im sorry like they can and do lose fights sometimes, and that's interesting actually. they are all incredibly competent martial artists, yes! that doesn't mean they can win every single matchup. that's simply neither the point of nor the strength in their characters.
the concept that like 2-3 seasons in it will be revealed LG is time travelling repeatedly to try and prevent CXS from dying. would be chef’s kiss. literally ANY LG Has Future Knowledge is so chef’s kiss they need to give us more plot on this front fr

Snow White with the Red Hair: *has several dashing men*
*gives me a scene with Prince Raj, episode 1’s villain, floundering around like an idiot and trying to avoid running into people that might put him in a situation*
This sainthood of Lily is a bit funny, because Lily was out here making excuses for her best friend’s blood purity for legit years, she had to repeatedly make excuses for him to her other friends and she admits this in DH. It’s actually more interesting to think about that side of her, the side that refuses to let go of a loved one and won’t accept what they’ve become until she quite literally has no choice but to do so.
no but this is what im saying!!! saint lily, mix of hermione and molly weasley, is so funny but also so boring to me like,,,
i dont think lily was ever opposed to james in swm because of the macro 'bullying innocents' aspect. i think it was a problem only bc he targeted snape (and thats an imp distinction for me) bc we know, from her later conversations, that she was friends with snape knowing his friends (and him, presumably) tortured/bothered innocent muggleborns and didn't really do anything until it came to her. she gives off more of the ~privileged minority vibes than ~social justice warrior to me, tbh. and it's interesting--because not making her a paragon of morality is so much more fascinating to me.
like, lily as a cutthroat, slytherin-adjacent muggleborn who's doing all she can to not just survive, but thrive.
