Despite being a lower rank than canon Army and his teammates are still good at predicting their opponents and have earned themselves quotes a few wins because of it

Then Bobble Hat comes in in all her chaotic unpredictable glory 

As mentioned before she’s a wildcard nobody not even her teammates know what she’ll do next 

In the blue and orange teams’ first battle in the corocoro cup Army is convinced that he’s got Bobble figured out and therefore secured a victory for his team 

Oh how wrong he was 

Not only did the orange team lose, but every single observation and educated guess he made about Bobble was completely wrong! If anything, she seemed to do the exact opposite of what he expected! 

While Goggles was going on his usual talk about “That was so much fun!” “You guys seem really strong!” and “Let’s do this again sometime after the tournament!” All Army could think about was how Bobble hat could have possibly bested him 

And thus begins a rivalry that Bobble is blissfully unaware of 

I imagine that it’d become a running gag that Army would constantly challenge Bobble Hat at something only for her to come out on top. Every. Single. Time. 

So while Army is plotting Bobble’s downfall she’s just living her best life and thinks that the orange team’s captain does these fun little games and challenges all the time with everyone

As time goes on and character development begins to settle in he eventually loosens up and lets himself become friends with Bobble
