(( heya, apologies for the sudden radio silence, it's been a few mad days.

Long story short, last saturday i woke up with one helluva high fever that left me pretty much comatose. I thought i could just wait it out and be done with it over the weekend, but nope, turns out i'm stuck in quarantine with a big bad plus sign on my forehead orz

So yeah, if i take a little while longer to reply i'm most likely passed out in bed, i can manage to be functional most of the time (especially now that this headache that has plagued me for days seem to be gone for good) unless my fever goes up and above a certain limit after which i turn into a zombie.

Hopefully everything clears out soon, thank you guys for your patience, stay safe, take good care of yourself, drink plenty of water and don't forget that you're the best <3 ))

Hi, I've been following the Marquez legacy. Thank you for addressing the 1910's historical events. I also tend to give those topics a wide berth in my legacy posts. As someone with a degree in history, I tend to feel guilty for not addressing these major events more directly but I've never felt this was good platform for it. Again, thank you and I look forward to seeing your story continue.

Thank you for your feedback. I know that Simblr and The Sims is a form of escapism and a fun hobby for a lot of people in our stressful world (I started my first Decades legacy while quarantining at home when a relative had COVID). While I don't want to completely gloss over history, as the Decades Challenge rules include World War I as a part of the 1910s, I also understand that this is a video game and it's not meant to be too serious or cover the wide range of nuance in history. It can sometimes feel like a hard balance. I feel that with my current legacy, too— while the Marquezes' ethnicity and culture impacts their lives, it's only one piece of their story; while the past was not always kind to people of color, women, and queer people, for instance, there was also joy and pride in the face of hardship, and I'm sure that in many cases like my story, people did live through major historical events with resilience and hope— life goes on.

Are you absolutely positive it's the flu and not one of these new COVID strains? Some of them aren't picked up by the at-home tests. I know you've been in the hospital, so hopefully you were tested with one of the better tests, but I also have heard a lot of people say doctors aren't even considering it as a possibility anymore. Either way, long COVID spaces might have useful advice for recovery since symptoms can be so similar.

Sorry if this is isn't useful. I just found out someone I love has a very bad case of COVID and I'm very worried, so it's more on my mind than normal, even as a high risk person myself. I hope you start gaining your strength back soon.

Yes. I went to the ER. They did a lot of testing, including the proper COVID tests, where I tested positive for Type A Influenza. But they specifically tested for COVID when I was in the emergency room. I'm sorry about your loved one. I hope they recover soon ❤️

so apparently this cold i’ve been dealing with is actually covid. yesterday i went to get tested a second time just like- to be sure it wasn’t... and i now apparently have covid for the first time. i have finals next week and then graduation’s after that and i- do not have time for this why why why... 

at least so far it’s just a cold type thing. i’m just hoping it doesn’t get worse.

Before I got Covid symptoms, I was doing my nails using a new bottle of acetone and it just smelled really amazing. Like a floral candy kind of smell

And I was like. Wow when did they start making nail polish remover smell good?? That’s kind of a weird move? Anyway.

I didn’t think about this again until I went to take off that nail polish and the stuff smells like regular acetone now lol

#but I also smell things that aren’t there all the time so #I mean it was definitely the weirdest case bc the phantom smells go away after a couple inhales #but nah this chemical smelled so yummy #I figured I should stop like huffing it though so I moved on #yams #coronavirus tw #??

how am i supposed to know when i can stop wearing a mask in public without fear of going to hell..................... the two opinions seem to be "wear a mask until you die you selfish piece of scum" and "burn your mask and never wear one again you stupid piece of scum" and i am very confused and whatever i have that feels like rsd is a hamster in a perpetually racing wheel
