After learning about the video game "CONTROL" and watching Julia LePetit-Drawfee play it, I have amended my views on brutalist architecture.
I used to think that brutalist architecture was a completely miserable and hideous style of architecture to expect human beings to exist in or around, with absolutely no acceptable applications.
But NOW I think that brutalist architecture is a completely miserable and hideous style of architecture to expect human beings to exist in or around, which is actually quite suitable for a visually striking video game about a living building that fucking hates you and is actively trying to kill you and everyone in it. ✅ ✅ ✅
I'm being silly but tbh anyone who disagrees with me can go ahead and spend 10 years commuting in the dingy gray concrete brutalist dimness of the DC metro system and then fucking get back to me.

In a Kromer guide video, they said that if you lost a clash to a particular move (I forgot the name), it was joever.
I disagree. Losing that clash, it's krover.

i'm insanely obsessed with Mission Statement (by Weird Al) because it HEAVILY satirizes corporate greed. the irony of a grassroots political folk style song with a shit ton of silicon valley headass buzzwords and heavily anti-working class, pro-deregulation of industry, capitalistic sentiments.......
i truly have no words for how much i love it. i could prob write a multi-page MLA or APA formatted essay analyzing every word IF corporate buzzwords didn't make me violently nauseous. i would not be able to force myself to google all of them lmao
it's also nice to know to know that fame and wealth haven't gone to his head, like, at all. my man is out here satirizing capitalism (as well as fascism and american sensationalism to a lesser extent) throughout the entire album of Mandatory Fun
ps i'm working on the cd packet scans as we speak 👀 i might start a (weird al only) fanblog and treat it more like archival work so that everyone can use it— ie other fans + al himself + his drummer + whoever else collects promo material for him

i’ve never seen succession but i think sengoku thinks he’s in succession. garp thinks he’s in a more murderous version of the office. out of the two of them, garp is much closer to the truth. sengoku is too professional to day drink in his office but he has a bottle of whiskey stashed away in his desk somewhere and sometimes he likes to open the drawer and look at it wistfully the way other people put up posters of beaches and pretend they’re there
