River took a deep breath as she looked at the vc with five different icons in it. Her nerves were bubbling as she began to contemplate actually joining. When Dream had sent her the messages on twitter inviting her to meet the rest of the feral boys while they streamed and got to know the women, she had thought someone was playing some sick joke on her.

That the second she said yes she’d wake up and it would’ve all been a Dream, The blonde would’ve never raided her stream and sent her loads of donations with flirty messages, nor would he had sent her a personal invite to hang out with the boys.

How fast she was growing was something riv had never thought in a million years would happen but now here she was.

“Hii!” She responded, everyone else greeting her as well. “So river is it?” Her eyebrows furrowed in worry wondering where the beanie boy was going with his statement. “Mhm.”

Riv laughed under her breath. “No no, Alex has a point, maybe she has an ulterior motive.” Karl started turning his camera on randomly pointing a threatening finger.

“And what would that be Mr. Jacobs?”

“Maybe she’s trying to butter us up and then bam! She’s swept our careers from us right from under our feet.” Everyone in the call broke into a fit of laughter at the accusation. “Well I guess we’ll never know will we?”

River leaned in, dropping her voice to a whisper, “I like to keep my victims on their toes.”

Sapnap oohed, whilst the girl began to become more comfortable talking to all the others. “Alright so how about a good game of jackbox?”

After three full hours of filthy, flirty, and down right stupid comments the game came to an end.

“Well this was fun,” George yawned quietly. “But it’s almost four am and i’m tired so Goodnight!” Each person bid their goodbyes while Dream ended his stream. It was a weird thing to think about, how two days ago the girl sitting in a call with one of the most popular minecraft youtuber was having a celebration with her stream after hitting 5k followers was now refreshing her twitter page and watching as the number gradually raised. “River?”

Rivers' eyes immediately moved to the Monitor in front of her not even realizing she had zoned out. “Yeah I’m here sorry.”

Dream chuckled, moving something around on his desk. “You alright? I called you a few times and you didn’t reply,”

His voice was laced with concern as he fidgeted with one of his rings on his fingers worrying that he might have scared her away.

The girl hummed biting softly on the corner of her lip. “Mm yeah I’m okay, that was just,” she puffed out a dramatic amount of air shaking her head. “Kinda scary but the adrenaline rushing through my veins was really overpowering. ya know?.”

Of course he understood. He was just like her a few years ago, stepping into the world of fame and having your every move and word tracked down.

Except he had his friends in his corner and she had no one.

“Yeah I get it,”

A comfortable silence fell on the two as they just took in each other’s company. “Oh and I just wanted to say thank you for like everything.”

The boy went to stop her but she continued. “You guys were like the reason I started streaming so getting this opportunity is huge to me.”

Dreams heart warmed at the comment fighting back a smile she wouldn’t be able to see. Just as he went to respond the knock on his door cut the words short.

Sap ducked his head in without waiting for a reply. “Games on, you comin?”

“u-um.”

“go ahead we can talk tomorrow.” and without waiting for a reply the girl of his dreams exited the call.

Summary: You are a faceless youtuber who does Sims4 and ranty vlogs, but somehow you end up playing a game with your friend Rae and then things get 💕💕💕

Warnings: tw alcohol, tw cigarette smoking, sexual themes (mentions), swearing.

You put down your phone because everyone in the call is trying to decide on a game.

“What about you, y/n?” Ludwig’s voice echoes through your headphones.

“Oh, um, I'm fine with anything to be honest.” You mumble in a higher pitch, being caught off guard by the conversation you weren’t following.

“Okey-dokey then! Do you have Friday the 13th open yet, y/n?” You let an audible gasp at the new information coming out of Rae’s mouth. You sip your drink as you open the game (which you had downloaded a few days ago on Corpse’s recommendation), chatting with your chat about how much you don’t like scary games.

You make sure to not leak the code for the game and then turn off the copyrighted music as you set up your controls. “Yo guys, will this game give me the frights?” You ask worriedly.

“Nah!” “You’ll be fine, y/n!” “Just watch out for Corpse though!” You hear everyone exclaim, that last comment makes you question if getting drunk and playing scary games with nonother than Corpse, was a good idea.

“Okay, my plan is to get as wasted as I can before I get scared…” You tell everyone, and are met with your friends seconding your plan. You all do a few shots as the introduction plays on your screens and then the game starts.

You tell your chat that you’re going to fetch a glass of water while the others finish this round to help you calm down. Between singing with Corpse and then being mercilessly killed by Tina you were getting a bit too overwhelmed in this first round.

As you stumble to your kitchen, trying not to step on Ramona who’s circling your ankles for your attention, you take a few seconds to concentrate on your breathing and try to ground yourself. You might be okay with your messy online persona but your tweets about (and to) Corpse were getting out of hand. Acting like a horny puppy was not a good look when it came to dealing with a crush on a real person, and if you ever decided to act upon your feelings, this was not the way Corpse deserved to be wooed.

The sensation of the cool tap water going down your throat helped you calm down, and as you were filling your glass one more time, your pocket started to vibrate. Corpse’s ID glaring at your eyes makes you squint from the harsh light of your screen, seeing as you hadn’t even bothered turning on the lights of your apartment.

“Y/n?” His voice rumbled, sending shivers down your back. Feeling suddenly perched, you take the time to take one long gulp from your glass, swallowing loudly.

“Umm, yes? What’s up, Corpsie?” Your attempt at sounding effortless and calm, after being called by the person you were just thinking of how to approach romantically, is ruined by your voice betraying you and sounding like a high pitched robot.

“You okay, baby? I saw you left your stream and I was just checking up on you.” His words also sound slurred as he says that.

“Oh, don’t act like you’re not also tipsy, Mr. Corpse…” The words leave your mouth in a playful tone, as you were getting curious about this revelation. Even though this was a drunk stream, Corpse hadn't shown any signs of being tipsy so your chaos side wanted to know how drunk Corpse behaved.

While you didn’t do this often, you felt like today was a special occasion. Getting drunk for the first time in a year and with none other than your newly found friends made you feel okay when you decided to open your kitchen’s window and light up a smoke.

“Oh…” His sentence is cut by a low chuckle, “I’m wasted right now, baby girl.”

It didn't matter that he had already called you that before, the pet name didn't go unnoticed by you, making you choke on the smoke of your cigarette. You cursed in between some coughs, asking the divine why something that was meant to be celebratory and calming was having the opposite effect.

“Oh, Gods, Corpse.” You say, once you regain control of your lungs, “Way to kill me in my lil’ break, huh?” You hear how your coughing fit and comment affects him, making him giggle.

“Don't blame me for your addiction, y/n. Besides, come play with me, we’re waiting for you and everyone’s talking to each other and I’m feeling awkward cause and I fucking miss you and I don’t want to talk to anybody else.” You let a long exhale of breath escape your lips after his long-ish ramble. Although you feel like Corpse was generally getting more and more comfortable around you, he was still someone who preferred to be short and to the point, his ominous silences saying more than what random words could say, so these long-winded sentences really showed his inhabited state.

“Unacceptable!” You squeal, making your best Lemongrab impression in the hopes of diffusing the tension built in your body by hearing fucking Corpse Husband tell you that he misses you. “I'm coming! I'm coming! You’re such a needy drunk, Corpse…” You giggle as you put out your cigarette and start walking to your streaming room with a much clearer head than before.

He breaks into a laugh at your impression and you hear his chair creak, making you perfectly picture him throwing his head backwards with that canine toothed smile he does whenever one of your dumb jokes gets to him. “You’re such a Fionna.” He states.

Once you’re back in your chair, you take one more sip of your now warm, gin and tonic and put on your headphones. You feel the alcohol burn your insides, and that’s all the courage you need right now. “You can be my Marshall Lee if you promise to calm me down after this scary game, Corpsie...”

With your heart beating out of your chest, you hang right up, not wanting to hear Corpse’s most probably flirty response. You check that your camera is not showing your face before turning it on and coming off mute in the Discord call.

A/N: hi! double update this weekend yay! i was just feeling like it lol. This was one of the funnest chapters to write tbh, so hope you enjoy it! Also, im sorry if some of the tags in the taglist are not working, it's just tumblr's fault...

Dear y/n,

if you’re reading this, it means that we’re actually getting married today and that I’m keeping the promise I made to myself. You know I'm not good with words, but I'll do it for you. I'll do it because I promised myself that you would understand the depth of my feelings for you -and not in a bang confession of a song, but with actual words written on paper. The song... I can't listen to it anymore. I swear to god, when I do, my brain just goes; "your constant harassment of the female gender makes me sick". Anyway, I'm drifting off. I'm really fucking nervous.

So I'll tell you everything. The truth, the ugly truth, no bullshit.

Wanna know what made me make that promise? (I'm really happy you're reading it in a letter and I'm not telling you face to face cause you'd want to kick my ass). The night you proposed, you were sleeping peacefully and I was just a mess. I couldn't stop thinking about our future together, about the fact that it was probably the stupidest mistake we could ever do. But you rolled around, and I looked at you. You had the stupidest expression I had ever seen on anyone's face. Like ever. So fucking weird. I laughed to myself, couldn't stop, or else I'd have to realize that I was terrified because at that very moment I understood that, ultimately, you'd break my heart one way or another.

I walked into our story blinded by your light and it's like I have only awoken at that moment. You said I should trust you, but for a long time I wasn't able to. Because I'm no easy person to live with. Because I love you so much, I was convinced that it would hurt like a bitch, that there wasn't any other possible way. I'm still not sure about that one, but that night I didn't care anymore. I knew there were no going back, that no matter how scary it was, you'd have to be loved and feel loved, and I wouldn't let anyone do it for me.

In the end, it's a very selfish decision. What would I be without you? What would I be for that really fucking stupid sleeping face?

So I put on my big boy's pants and write this letter instead of getting ready. Sykkuno keeps walking back and forth. I think he's desperate at this point. But I can't stop thinking about you. I wonder what you're doing right now with Rae and Brooke with you. Nevermind, I don't wanna know. I wonder what you'll look like walking down the aisle, what dress you chose. Do you think I'm going to cry? I'm probably going to cry because you're the most amazing, most stunning woman I've ever seen, and I really don't know what else I could do. I'm already emo just thinking about it. About how lucky I am to have found someone as wonderful as you and I can’t believe we’re really about to do it. Being in love is cringe, but if you say a world about it, I'll mansplain, manspread, manipulate my way out of this one. Fuck you in advance actually.

Anyway, now I really realized what's happening today and I'm fucking shaking. I can't believe I'm about to marry my soulmate. But I guess I'll see you soon. I'll be the man in black waiting for the love of his life.
