Hi! Sorry to bother, but in a recent post you mentioned that dragonsnakes were native to malaysia- especially the islands of Borneo and Java- implying that Java is also part of Malaysia. This is actually incorrect! The island of Java is part of Indonesia, and is where the Indonesian capital is. I hope that this doesn’t come off as accusative- I’m from Indonesia and wanted to correct it! I hope you have a nice day and thank you for reading! (And again, I rly hope this isn’t coming off as accusative or even mean, I just wanted to clarify since Malaysia and Indonesia share a lot of similarities and we get mistaken for each other a lot!

Miyoshi-sensei mentioned in this tweet that due to scheduling constraints, there are some panels/artwork that are of lower quality than usual, and these will be fixed in the tankobon release

The tweet also mentions that they will be “carefully selecting” the chapters to adapt from the light novels, which may imply that only selected portions of the light novels will be adapted

Correction to Ch65

As mentioned in the footnotes for Ch76, this bubble on pg26 of Ch65 has been corrected to “We’ve already parted with the Durham residence…” instead of “The Durham residence has already been sold…”. As Ch1 of The Remains has clarified that the mansion is in disrepair, it is now clear that the previous translation made too eager an inference, and so it has been edited to be more conservative.

Corrections to the novel TL

There are also some small errors in my original TL of the novel, which I’m only now discovering as we go through the stories again. These have now been corrected in the tumblr posts, but I do expect to find more along the way — my sincere apologies in advance 🙇🏻‍♀️

The new credits page

You may have noticed that the new design uses the Strawberry Thief pattern by William Morris 🍓 His patterns were really popular in the late Victorian era, and I’ve always headcanoned that some of them were used in the Moriarty family residences in some form or another (๑˃ᴗ˂)

Where’s the story going?

The story so far has been a faithful reproduction of the first light novel. But many have pointed out that if we’re currently reliving the light novels through Louis’s flashback, then how will we get to the light novel stories from William and/or Sherlock’s POVs?

Notice that William was mentioned to be looking for something in the mansion: maybe he’ll also find something that will spark memories of his time with Sherlock? (I’m pretty sure Forbidden Games will be adapted; it would be such a missed opportunity if it wasn’t 😆)

As for the stories that are completely from Sherlock’s POV, it remains to be seen how those will be handled (if at all?) — excited!! x)

Hello! I just read Heart of the World, and I loved it. It expands all the charm and mind-bending-theming of the original, but cuts out all the filler (and the copyrightable stuff, of course)—you did an amazing job with the adaptation. I especially love the new characters—Ilyn, Elizabeth, and Theyn are all developed so well. Furthermore, Lily and Wizard Lenin’s backstories now suit them in a way Harry Potter’s setting never did. Character-wise, Lily being alone, knowing humanity only through a television like Plato’s cave prisoners works so very well. Wizard Lenin’s backstory is perfect because you kept the absurdity of the original—I suspect John Jones was a Tellestrian like Tom Riddle is a half-blood, and so him nonchalantly saying God no, I don’t believe in any of the revolutionary zeal I peddled except kicking out the monarchy—well, it’s just so him. I especially liked his, “‘Chin up, Lily. (...) Most of us don’t have a destiny,” since it draws attention to how he made or defied his own destiny—rejecting being forgotten, and then rejecting his demise.

I could probably write for days about all I love about this book. I haven’t even talked about Ilyn in detail! The reveal around his pocketwatch is set up so well, and I’ve come to adore this strange, curt pyromaniac. Trotsky’s introduction hit me like a bat to the face, as Trotsky always does. You’ve taken all the quiet horror and made it loud, and it makes me feel some very intense things.

Anyhow, great job, 10/10, would read again and any and all sequels released. This entire post is an outlet for the tragic lack of AO3 comments for physical books. 

Finally, while pretty much everything is stellar, I noticed some typos—seems inconvenient. I’ve made a list of them in the following google doc; fix at will.

Thank you! I'm really, truly, flattered by this very high praise and glad you enjoyed it so much. It's always good to hear when this has been in my head so long and finally out there.

Also, you're a godsend for the typos, I swear, you think you catch them all and then they just sneak up on you after staring at the same document so long/having to format things.

Fake baby birds.

For some reason there have been a lot of incorrect and even fake images of baby birds going around. Perhaps you saw the AI generated fake baby peacock? The baby crow is a real photo of a real young avian... but it's not a crow (Turns out this fluffy little one is a baby rail-- more info here at the "corvid research blog" which has been mad about this photo for like years. )

Over on the Fediverse (most call it 'Mastodon') there are a lot of people posting about science and nature. @[email protected], Carl T. Bergstrom shared his photo of a (real) fledgling crow just a few hours out of the nest... just look:

He gave you an incredulous look.

"This is about trust, isn't it?" You touched his arm. "Trust me, just as I trust you."

He finally caved. "Fine."

You were laid out on your four-post bed, spread eagle, each of your limbs restrained to its own post. The heat coming from the air vent felt good against your bare skin, and you closed your eyes and just relaxed.

And then Arthur came in, clothed in a prison guard uniform (you had snuck one out of your workplace). It looked good on him, the fabric stretching over his thick frame, his biceps bulging at the shirt cuffs, his package not very well hidden by the canvas pants.

"Looks like someone don't know how to behave," he drawled, sauntering over to the foot of the bed. He stared down at you, his eyes raking over your nude form as if he were assessing stolen goods. "I told you what the punishment was if you didn't listen, didn't I?"

You swallowed. "Y-yes sir."

"And what was that?"

"You'd use me until you were satisfied."

He nodded. "Ayup. And it takes a lot to satisfy me." Crawling onto the bed, he wrapped his big hand around your neck. His other hand lightly slapped your breast. "Yer goin' to take it all, and yer goin' to like it. Ain't that right, sweetheart?"

You nodded.

"Good girl." Releasing you, he knelt between your legs and undid his belt, pulling it from the belt loops slowly, maintaining intense eye contact. Tossing the belt aside, he reached down and ran his fingers along your opening, his fingers coming away with an embarrassing amount of your wetness.

"Dirty li'l thing," he rumbled. "So wet from just this? Like yer beggin' to be used." Slipping one finger inside of you, he used his thumb to brush against your clit while he played with your entrance.

You writhed in your bounds. "S-sir, please, use me!"

"Oh, I'm usin' you, alright. You don't get to tell me what to do." He shoved a second finger inside of you and rubbed you harder. "You'll do exactly as I command."

You only whimpered in submission.

As you relaxed into the mattress, feeling blissfully like a puddle of jelly, Arthur sat up, rising onto his knees. His cock was outlined on his pants, and you could tell that he was raging hard and ready to take his pleasure. Seeing where your gaze was directed, he touched himself.

He chuckled. "It's like you were bad on purpose."

Arthur picked up on your submission and fell upon you, his muscular body crushing you into the bed. His hips rose and fell at an ever faster pace, powerfucking you with wild abandon.

He could not speak, only animalistic grunts and moans as he gave into his feral lust. You were also at a loss for words, unable to do anything other than hold on for dear life. You knew your hips would be bruised and sore in the morning, but you didn't care. Right now, all you cared about was the exquisite rapture of being fucked into subspace by your beloved.

Somewhere along the way, you felt Arthur tense up. You wrapped your legs tighter around him, urging him on.

You didn't think Arthur could pound you any harder, or faster, but somehow he did, nearly crushing you with his mindless need to fuck the hell out of you. He let out an impassioned moan as he released himself inside you, his hips jerking erratically.

"Fuck, yer so fuckin' perfect," he slurred, laying sloppy kisses on your cheek and lips. "I would fuck you all day if I could."

You giggled, breaking character. "I would let you too, if my body could handle it."

"Oh god." He immediately lifted himself off of you. "Are you alright, darlin'?"

You grabbed him and pulled him back on top of you, like pulling up a warm blanket. "Yes, yes, I'll be fine. Just let me enjoy my Arthur-quilt for a little longer."

You felt his smile against your cheek, his stubble scraping lightly at your skin. "Yer so sweet. I love you."

You hummed in agreement and slowly fell asleep, fully at peace with Arthur inside of you, on top of you, all around you.

Maybe most of you don't know that English is actually my second language, so I have difficulties with some expressions or phrases that are common. I want to apologize.
